This is like the much older and more mature brother of Lollia Wish. Where wish is all sugar and dolls 44N is woodsy juniper, pine, and lavender. This is the perfect combination of woodsy and gourmand.
However they both have an amazing nutty vanilla with a hint of citrus that hangs in the background but makes an awesome drydown.
In winter the doll skin is a little closer to baby powder and the longevity isn’t as good, but the lavender and pine and chestnut with a bit of citrus is still the same. I do have to say that coming from cold to warm this is just amazing. I wore it when I was in and out of the freezer at work and I would give me these delicious chestnut and pine moments that made me smile.

I love the last stage of this, when the vanilla, sugar and chestnut blend softly and sweetly. Can’t stop smelling my hand to get a whiff. The opening felt too harsh, I think the strong juniper note made the lavender loud and added a bitterness to it that didn’t appeal to me. This could be great on the right man, though! Very unique and well constructed. I suggest that anyone considering a purchase try it more than once before buying. The dry down is really special and the vanilla is lovely.

All natural and created to mimic the smell of the exact geographical location of “44°N 03°E” which is the Causse Méjean (a limestone plateau in the Cevannes) in southern France. It features notes of lavender, pine resin, juniper, basil, fennel, bergamot, vanilla, benzoin, tonka beans, apricot essence, osmanthus absolue, cedar essence, incense, patchouli, cinnamon bark oil, jasmine, rose, styrax resinoid and sandalwood.
Andy Tauer created this very interesting fragrance after being presented with a vial of lavender oil and – sheep excrement – by the line creators Malvin Richard, Lukas Lüscher and Serena Britos. Doesn’t that perk your interest just a bit?
I am completely fascinated by the story of this fragrance and feel very honored to have been able to sample this one. 44°N 03°E features a very beautiful, extremely natural lavender oil among many other floral and herbaceous notes. I would consider it a fresh but year round scent. My own personal feeling is that this would work better on a man but it is very unisex. Very lovely natural fragrance with a calming nature about it.
