I used to wear the shower gel and body milk for this, without layering the perfume on top, aged 19. I would put a dab of the lotion on to the ends of my hair to fragrance them. I went to see “The Corpse Bride” with a guy I had had a crush on for years, and caught him actually sniffing my hair halfway through the movie! I wish they hadn’t discontinued this, as the replacement just isn’t the same. It seems to have lost some of the freshness of the Rose 4 reines, and a lot of the depth too. Too bad!

It is a fresh rose, crisp and pink, not oil rose, not powdery notes. Maybe not big depth, maybe not mysterious but definitely pleasant for a workday fragrance.

As a rose lover I can attest to the loveliness of this delicate and sweet version of the Queen of the Flowers.
Despite its soft nature, it is long lasting and lingers in a soft whisper for hours and hours.
    Simplicity is bliss.

This scent is delicious, beautiful and sweet. I am really a rose scent fan. It reminded me a little bit of Paris by YSL, but fresher and greener. Since it was a lot cheaper than Paris, I decided to buy a bottle of eau de parfum and try a scent by L’Occitane en Provence.
The longevity was only moderate and I am only interested in very long lasting scents, so I found it a waste of my money. I finished the bottle and decided to never buy a scent from L’Occitane en Provence again. Just now I realise that I didn’t receive any mail from them in a long time, so L’Occitane en Provence noticed that I am not a customer of them anymore.

This is such a beautiful sweet rose perfume and not at all like TEA ROSE by Perfumer’s Workshop. This is a perfumy rose with some softer green notes and more of a fresh burst of citrus. It smells sweet and fresh but it has a short life so it’s one of those fresh out of the shower scents you want to spritz on or while even taking a bath as a bath scent. It’s also great for ambiance and to spray in your own house. Love the smell of roses and this one I’ve had in my collection for the longest time. Layer this with their matching soap body lotion and cream and the effect is glorious. I always love how I smell wearing this.

Best rose perfume hands down. Feminine and fragrant without smelling too ‘old lady.’ It is rose scent that is very young and vibrant

My story is similar to acavichi’s. I loved this scent and felt so well wearing it. When I was a child there was a rose bush next to my house. Me and my girlfriends used to approach it when it was blooming, take 1 small rose each and rub it between our hands. The smell we captured was exactly the same as the one of this perfume. Thus, I used to feel like in a dream when I wore it… until… my boyfriend said that it is a pure grandma scent =(

I have the solid and I find it very pleasant. It’s a soft, almost citrus-y rose, no trace of tea rose at all. Poor sillage, but I feel very ladylike when I wear it.

I got this as a gift and thought it was a really fresh, interesting take on a classic rose perfume. I found it very unique and pleasant. My husband, unfortunately, thought it was old lady-ish.

This is so fresh. I wore it to work the other day and the girls I work with were dying to know what it was and were really surprised that it is basically a linear rose. I got the 10ml intense roll on but if we get a half decent summer in the UK I might splash out on a bottle. This is the sort of scent that would really come into it’s own in hot weather. A keeper.

Truly one of the finest rose fragrances I’ve ever had the privy of indulging in. Truly warm, developed, a very sensual rose that’s also bright, endearing, and engaging. I’ve gotten the Shower Gel for…men! Men, that’s right! Because the dry down, the heart base notes, and the fragrance is just superb in the shower. Men or women, everybody can benefit from the power of the flower, the rose. I’ve owned many rose fragrances and this is definitely one of my all time favorites. My niece in high school wears the Body Cream (the one that’s in the jar) and absolutely no other fragrance besides the Cream. People will comment on how incredible she smells. I also think that the shea butter in the cream adds to the warmth of the rose. I also like the little perfumed soap because the fragrance clings to you…but in a deliciously great way, not like a blanket of tea powder roses. And like I said, men I know have embarked on the Shower Gel due to the power of the flower of the rose. L’Occitane fragrances are so inexpensive and so generous, nostalgic, French, and very easy to wear.

Unlike Eau des 4 Reines with the complementary charisma created by the cassia, violet, heliotrope and cedar supporting the four beauteous blushing roses, 4 Reines celebrates the combined allure of the four roses (Grasse, Bulgarian, Moroccan and Turkish) with an honorary respect for traditional rose efflorescence.
This rose-meal concoction creates a concentrated unrelenting aroma once it warms up. I could even go as far as suggesting that it almost becomes uncomfortably intense. I said almost! I adore this edgy quality to 4 Reines.
A rose scent for hardcore rose devotees, otherwise death by rose powder may well ensue.

I love it! It smells like a late summer morning, when you sit on the terrace surrounded by roses and sun dries out their dew! Fantastic!

It’s fresh and a little fruity. Good for every day, and especially summer days, but it’s true that it doesn’t really smell rose.

oh my god, this is pure lies, this perfumes is so artificial, it is a bad modern expression of roses, a lie in bottle, a lie you pay for lol
if you want true roses, organics and not expensive ! try Eglantine ( wild rose ) or Rose des jardins ( garden rose ) from Melvita ! Anyone smells this on me thinks that there is some bouquet of roses not far from us, they even not think this could be a perfume so it is natural scents ! wonderful !

The freshest rose scent ever! Not the typical grandma, old fasthioned rose, but fresh, youthful and clean! I only wish it would last longer, I need to reapply frequently during the day. I look for the body lotion and solid perfume for more intense and lasting effect. Love it! An ultimate light summer holiday scent!

I was actually expecting more rose! It is fresh and floral, but not totally rosey on me.

This is a truly beautiful scent I’ve had around for a while in EdT. EdP is no more available. EdT is much lighter and has less depth but it is nonetheless a very enjoyable scent. I’m a little bit of a sucker for rose scent. It is very nice when it turns out to be slitghly nostalgic, but then if it becomes too powdery and/or musty I got very disappointed. L’Eau des 4 Reines is never so. Actually it’s fresh and a little bit fruity.
I always wonder how much rose raw material there is in scents. Not much I guess. This one is not expensive and it smells rose!
It has good lasting power. The matching rose bathgel is quite an experience in the tub! Almost all their fragrances are worthy trying.
I also like L’Occitane shops and their SAs. I’ve met only a pair who I didn’t liek so much, but they are usually lovely, kind, sociable and don’t hurry you to buy.
