Very nice… reminds me of L’Instant de Guerlain Extreme EDP….. but less smooth than the L’Instant. But still very good for the price. If you don’t want to pay big money, 24 Go Dark will do nicely in giving you a L’Instant vibe. A good cologne unto itself. A good buy. Wear it at night and or cooler weather… autumn/winter.

It is a blind buy from me. I don’t recommended . it is very dark and only it will be fine when it dries down after 2 hours!

@redaresg been looking for this. What commercial was this? Trying to get it at that price as well

    Hello guys,
I bought this because it jumped out at me one satureday morning from a commercial, offering it for a really cheap price of $18! cool ha?
Took it blindly, put it on, it opened strong, sticky and heavy, and after about 2 hours it started to ptoject a real pleasant scent, sensual and delicate.
I really like it and I would happily pay 5 times more for it.

It’s been a long time coming but I have now tried my first ScentStory fragrance in 24 Go Dark. Cool looking bottle but dear me what the heck did they spray coat it with. The frosted finishing coat looks great til you pick up the bottle and quickly find that it is a colourless, matt lacquer with a sticky, tar like consistency that comes off on your hands. I’ve ended up wiping it all off although it took some doing. Yuck.
Inside the bottle however is a different story. I would agree, a niche quality scent with good projection and so far good longevity. It opens with a strong Vanilla-Raspberry-Pepper-Mint accord which is pleasant but after 30 minutes it smooths out into a real gem.
    Lovely, masculine, winter scent.
    Update 23/02/2018:
Boy oh boy do I love this stuff. Just keep reaching for it on cold days. Excellent.

At first i thought this fragrance was mild..made me hate myself for buying it.i decided to put it away for a while.so just a week ago i thought to myself, let me save my dior sauvage and use this fragrance, guess what???BEAST MODE performance!!!! I give it an 8/10

Light easy scent, like it bought it and using it morning time in office work.

I get the comparisons to LIDG below, this is very similar. As previously pointed out, there is more citrus in LIDG (I own and prefer the EDT to Extreme) which makes it fresher and more versatile, but I have sprayed both on my arm tonight and they are very, very similar.
For the money, this is superb. I will use this for work during Autumn and Winter, saving LIDG for nights out and more ‘special’ occasions.
If you want a cheap substitute for LIDG, this is it.

This fragrance is seriously good don’t let the low price tag fool you into thinking it’s cheap honestly this fragrance is beautiful sweet zesty abs a little woody menthol smell of the makes sense. It’s longevity and silage are above average. So nice i bought a few backup bottles. A real hidden gem. Scent story are doing great i have 4 of there creations in my collection.
    Go dark is very addictive.
Defo similar vibe to fields of rubus by kerosene.

This is nice and bold. Love the heavy bergamot and citrus. I’ve only recently got back into this. I can now smell pepper very heavily. Not really picking up much else discernable. But this is a great one.
A note on the bottle. Mine’s fine, but I take the point raised elsewhere – that satin feel is all well and good until something gets on it that breaks it down. My radio has the same finish and all was well until I gave it a good clean. Sticky radio.

Another great scent from scentstory beside 24 gold.
Sweet and warming scent, this is hidden gems.
Longevity and projection is great, just try it.
    Score 8/10 for me.

    Dark? Yes, I guess so.
I’m liking this, it’s vanillic, powdery and really projects.
Scentstory is, to me, the epitome of flying “under the radar”, this brand puts out good stuff garnering great reviews but outside of the three major fragrance review sites I’d say the general public has no idea this brand exists.
Definitely a fall/winter fragrance or if other time of year, evening wear.
Lasts a good amount of time.
The notes list pepper………I can’t picture that one and the leather, if in there is more suede-like while the apple, if any………..makes it sweet.

This one remind me of Bentley intense without the rum note and this one is a little bit darker

This is seriously good 9 hours & still performing . Funny thing is I dismissed this when it first came out think IMG it was synthetic & weak . performance is superb . I I’m a collector of 80s power fragrances . Smells amazing & non synthetic . I love it

I took a massive risk on this one at £8 for 100ml. I get grapefruit and sherbet and pepper quite forcefully during the opening. The dry down brings vanilla forward and the sharpness of the grapefruit and sherbet subsides a little leaving an overall, fairly enjoyable fragrance.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

An interesting combination of lavender, leather, patchouli, and vanilla, 24 Go Dark strikes me as a less-refined more cold-weather-friendly cousin of Armani Attitude. The opening burst has a bit more citrus and lavender, and the dry down has more vanilla. The leather and patchouli are relatively pervasive throughout. It’s a pleasant, somewhat sophisticated fragrance that seems most appropriate for somewhat dressed up occasions on cold weather nights. I imagine this could be a bit cloying or demanding for a day or casual wear.
Projection is heavy and longevity is average for an EDT. A reasonably priced option (circa $55 for 100ml on FragranceX), I’d recommend checking this out if you like Armani Attitude, and want something similar that’s still in production, or if you like the notes breakdown.

lovely notes of vanilla patchouli and leather cant say i can smell the top notes.this is a very nice warm fragrance and makes me feel yummy.its a shame the 24 brand line is so difficult to get in the uk .i am now waiting for the platinum to complete the set and love em all so far.
    conclusion :- yummy

Very good projection and longevity. I already have the 24 Gold and I can see how they share the same DNA.
But Go Dark deffo reminds me off Bang Bang by Marc Jacobs. Although Go Dark is more intense

bleah…to me smells like Red Campari or Red Martini, so something like a bitter Vermout…simply disgousting.

i had an opportunity to sample this frag today.. i tested it on a paper.. smells okay..
i already hoping that this one has a great Longevity like the other brothers GOLD and PLATINUM.. but after 2 hours, i barely can’t smell anything on that paper.. only a very subtle smell..

I agree with the reviewer below I own both Go Dark and the one gentleman and to my nose – albeit not a very sophisticated one – they smell pretty much exactly the same with Go Dark being slightly deeper and not so light as D&G. However Go Dark is a third of the price and on me last quite a bit longer. I now own the complete 24 series and apart from the last two which went a bit wayward they are all amazing fragrances at silly low prices

If anybody has the original 24, and wants to try this one, and wants to swap me, Id be willing…I have a 1.7oz, been sprayed about 5 times.

This smells too much like The One Gentleman by D&G…very much like it. Like 95% I’d say. Decent fragrance on smell and power. Just not for me. Not terribly unique either. 7/10 rating from me overall.

Got this and 24 Gold for stupid prices recently and both are excellent.
This is more peppery and spicy with a nice citrus background.
Longevity and projection good on me for this but not as Bold as Gold.
    Still a terrific frag.
    7.5/10

Reminds me of LIDGE, but this scent is its own as well. Another great frag from scentstory.
    24 Original: Work/Play/night out
    Gold: close encounters/formal/church/night out
    Platinum: Formal/night out/play/in the heat
    Go Dark: Close Encounters/work/night out
I personally feel that every scent from the 24 line could be worn for anything. They’re all just THAT GOOD.

Another 24 fragrance I’m in love with, a well known UK retailer is selling a 50ml bottle for £7. Hilarious!!
As with the gold, the quality of this is so so good, reminds me a little bit of CK One Shock, Lavender, Patchouli and Pepper, although it isn’t as sweet and has way better longevity. I am pleasantly stunned at the quality of it. I’ve tried 3 24 fragrances, and while I wasn’t a huge lover of the original I could still appreciate it. Silver next.
Anyway I digress. I love the vanilla in this, it really stands out, as do the notes I mentioned earlier, I struggle to detect the citrus notes listed, the other notes are perhaps too intense. I got about 6.5 hours with this one, the Gold was over 9, Go Dark is a little Softer, but probably more suitable for work then the Gold.
I am addicted to Guerlain, and all of their products, can I disagree with the other reviews and say I see no real similarity to L’instant, I have just sprayed both, the Guerlain is in a whole other league in truth and way more complex, sweeter. But still 24 Dark has won me over, and I’ve stocked up.
A very positive 9/10, and for some reason I love the bottle!

I can see why takeitupthenose is getting the LIDGE vibe where it have that powdery coco smell (I guessing it is from the musk, vanilla and patchouli notes) with a hint of citrus. The difference I am getting is that for LIDGE, the citrus top notes hang around longer blending in with the chocolate like smell where as for Go Dark, the citrus (and also pepperish scent) last at most 15minute or so on my skin and it is dominated by the vanilla chocolaty drydown scent. It is also a bit more sweeter than LIDGE (due to the vanilla I guess) but also more powdery and does have that leather vibe (not surpraising given that leather is listed as a note).
My GF commented that it reminded her of a dark chocolate drink with added vanilla syrup… slightly bitterish but still sweet and creamy. She did comment that she did detect a slightly sourish note which I not sure why she getting it as I can’t smell it at all. Maybe it from the lemon note listed as her sense of smell is a lot keener than mine.
Nonetheless, longevity is good (last about 4-6hrs on my skin but I getting about 8-12hrs on my shirt). It does have moderate projection although sillage is a bit meh. Overall, although not my top few scents in my collecction but it still one that I reach for sometimes when I go out on causal occasions with friends as I think it is a scent that won’t offend people. For this reason, I do think that this is a safe work scent although I don’t really use it at work due to the rest of my collection.

Very nice, but sillage and projection is very weak. On me, nobody noticed it except my wife when she kissed me…

Yet again scent story have produced a top fragrance and yes I blind bought this one too!
This is more reserved and less impressive than the dizzy heights of 24 Gold and 24 Platinum both of which are fantastic.
Go dark definitely has the fresh citrus character of the original 24 and the most definitive apple note I’ve come across. That’s just the opening, the heart of this fragrance is a very masculine smooth patchouli, spiced woody, musk which is very enjoyable indeed but for me doesn’t quite stir the same enthusiasm as the two I’ve mentioned previously.
This is still highly original and head and shoulders above many designer priced fragrances in terms of sheer quality and staying power.
Speaking of longevity it’s very very good as you’d expect from this range but again not quite in the league of Gold and Platinum…but it does project massively for the first couple of hours.
Update: the more I wear this the more I become accustomed to the notes and the development starts out now with a really bitter dark chocolately patch which then becomes progressively spiced and woody but with that strange apple note through it. I really like this fragrance shame it isn’t a bit stronger.

Wow about time this one made it in. So what about this fragrance? Let’s see. Okay lets start with the notes that I think I smell. Apple, Vanilla, Woods, Patchouli and leather. Now lets combine those notes. Apple+Vanilla+Leather and then Patchouli+Woods. It is kin to LIDGE (L’Instant Extreme); however, this one is sweeter, the patchouli is less prominent as a stand alone note and there is no cocoa.
What this comes off as is a fruity, semi-sweet, leathery patchouli fragrance that is honestly a bit muted. Given the notes you would think that this would be strictly fall, winter, but these notes are blended to the point where the heavier notes never really dominate the fragrance and the fruity sweetness of it actually allows you to pull it off early spring. If you are looking for something heavier for colder months you may want to avoid this fragrance as it doesn’t have the bite that the notes would have you presuppose.
Actually if you know anything about this house, this fragrance is lighter than Platinum and Gold and maybe just a tad bit heavier than the original. I would say it is almost equivalent in sillage and projection of the original with darker notes.
If you are looking for something for the office, movie, date, dinner when the leaves start to turn brown this is a winner. If you are going somewhere in the winter yet will inside and close to others this would be a great fragrance. The notes and aroma sort of fits the colder months I just don’t think the performance will cut through the cold. So it is an inside cold weather frag from that perspective.
The longevity is still very good, 8+ hours but it has a very small radius from a projection perspective. Of all the fragrances of the house this is blended the best as the notes come together seamlessly.
Quite a few people liked it on me so thats a plus. If you want a more sweet or even maybe a youthful LIDGE or LIDG (L’Instant) this could be for you. I think the sweetness makes it more playful than those two.
Overally I will give it 3.25 out of 5 given the other things I own. Don’t know if I would repurchase due to so many things out there to explore; however, I wasn’t disappointed. It is like a Black and Decker drill, funtional, easy to use and reasonably price. Just don’t try to go through cement with it.
