Beautiful! I feel like I’ve smelled a couple of niche scents that were similar but this fragrance definitely stands on its own. This has a slight winter holiday vibe but is so very pleasant that one would want to smell this year-round. I cannot wait to give the others a full wearing. These are good!

I get a very apple-y cinnamon tobacco vibe! Seems pretty quiet to me though, from spray sample, close to skin. Nice though, smells like Back to Black or a smoother version of House of Matriarch’s apple Shishah one! Too bad the lasting and sillage are so modest. (11/17)

I was given this scent in roller ball form as a gift, and what a lovely gift it was! The sweet tobacco notes are extremely noticeable, so much so that it’s all I smell when I hold my wrist to my nose. There is a softness in the drydown, a faint vanilla musk, which keeps this scent from being overly sweet. Sillage is moderate, longevity fair. Having been a huge fan of Besame cosmetics, this one did not disappoint. I think Gabriela does an immense job on her packaging, and keeping true to the vintage esthetic. She herself immersing herself in the lifestyle. While I find the large atomizer bottles gorgeous, be weary of ordering them online. They still can’t seem to figure out how to stop leakage during travel and twice now at least 1/4 of my bottles have been lost. They are extremely gracious in replacing, I will say. Also, you need to use your perfume rather quickly. This one does not keep. I keep all of my fragrance in a dark cabinet away from sunlight. My bottle that is only about 1 year old is now only a faint scent of what it used to be. All in all, for the price, I think it is worth it.

Ah, tobacco. This sounds like something I would like. Love the old-fashioned bottle.

If you wear Alien by Tierry Mugler , or know someone who wears it as a signature scent all her life ,you will immediately mistake Besame 1930 with it. In general, it is and must be a best seller of this brand.

I just found a miniature set of all these fragrances together & I am absolutely impressed & excited by the quality & beauty of each & every one of the decades they are titled under.
I certainly get transported to a time, a moment, an essence, a fleeting daydream…to what women …& men, may have worn in that particular decade. I do not claim to know the historical significance & accuracy of notes used in perfumery throughout each decade, but I gather each scent & it’s associated year must be what this company & perfumer were trying to channel through this new range.
This one-1930 definitely could be unisex & reminds me of L’Occitane’s Eau des Baux or TF Tobacco Vanille albeit a much sweeter version.
Great to be able to own the miniatures so to try them all over time & the packaging is exquisite & reminiscent of true Hollywood Starlet styles & ladies boudoirs, all lipsticks, powders & sweet scented lingerie.
These scents are the epitome of ‘femininity’ in fragrance to me.
Refined, complex & considered.

1930 by Bésame smells like sweet tobacco, spicy cinnamon, and soothing sage with a warm vanilla base. This definitely makes me think of the bespoke era when speakeasies and leather club chairs were all the rage. I think this scent was so well done, I really love wearing this!
