Procured sample set from Luckyscent, so I would be able to test the entire line. This was my first, considering it was created by Vero Kern and I have great respect for her work, I felt I would start here.
The first spray is all about mandarin, and brings me to mind of orange soda. Its not flat, its bubbly and sweet sweet, which I imagine is from the ylang-ylang. As it dries down, I definitely smell popcorn mixed with something akin to motor oil. Vanilla is a late runner for me, I don’t really get to smell it much until after the first 3 hours.
This is quite a happy scent, it reminds me of being at a carnival or a fair quite frankly. Orange soda, popcorn, a bit of oil from the rides underpinned with a distant sweet note that could be from cotton candy or funnel cake…
I find the vetiver to be VERY interesting. It has a smoked green quality to it. Not heavy, but grounding. The entire scent really me brings back a part of my childhood with some great memories, and in these cold wintery days, a sense of fun. I also love that from first spray to dry down, I continue to smell orange soda 🙂
Longevity is average, roughly 5-6 hours. Sillage isn’t very strong beyond the first hour, but for me it does indeedy light up my personal space very nicely.
Certainly different and for someone looking for an out of the ordinary scent, its worth trying.
