Description

Zeste Mandarine Pampelmousse is the first fragrance created by Olivier Creed.

“”Mandarine” is a type of orange, of course. “Pamplemousse” is French for “grapefruit.” This cool and refreshing unisex fragrance is an excellent choice for hot summer days or for lifting the spirits.

Top notes include bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit. The heart consists of white flowers. Ambergris rounds out the base. Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse was launched in 1975. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Creed Sixth Generation.

    Smells like old french gentleman
You get a many floral vibe, a vetiver backbone, mellow citrus and ambergris.
This is the kind of fragrance I would say is outdated. Musty and almost musky mellow florals and vetiver. This is could be said as a elderly french terre d’hermes. He became more sentimental (floral) and lost his edge , but gained some body odor.
If you are younger than 40 and do no not like the sound of this avoid. I suggest terre d’hermes parfum or Josier kaleidoscope over this any day
5 hours longevity and fair projection.

This is definitely one of the most underrated Creeds out there. I really don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this, but I suppose that’s not exactly a bad thing. Just means I smell more unique and it keeps the price point low compared to other Creeds.
I got a 75ml of this at a retail outlet in Luxembourg for just shy of 100€ so I really can’t complain about the price. I later realised I bought a 2013 batch and the first thing that came to my mind was one of those Ron Paul “explain this shit” memes, but having read the reviews here I’m doubtful that time has affected the juice. I still get 6 to 8 hours longevity from this fragrance, which isn’t bad at all for a fresh, clean, citrusy EdT. Terre de Hermes EdT can’t compete with that, at least not on my skin.
As is typical with most Creed fragrances, the notes are very balanced. The top notes are a sprtizy harmony of citruses, which is nice and invigorating for about 15 minutes. Then the florals kick in and round out the citrus notes and give it a clean vibe. I don’t go gyming nor do I have a sport fragrance, but I do love a relaxing afternoon in a sauna, so let’s call it my sauna fragrance. I think this is well suited to anything casual and relaxed in the spring or summer, and it’s also absolutely a unisex fragrance. If you’re shopping around for a clean, citrusy spring/summer scent and don’t want to smell like the hordes of people reaching for Aqua di Gio (not hating on it, but it is everywhere), this juice is worth trying.

So Fresh and So Clean!!!!This scent evokes memories of summer picnics and happiness. I do get good performance with this fragrance and that is shocking considering it is a Creed Eau de Toilette. This fragrance is calming. It is really hard to pick out exactly which fruit you are smelling in the opening…mandarin, bergamot or grapefruit and as it dries the sharpness (or citrus zest) settles to a mellow ambergris. Florals are present but well hidden. For those looking for a great spring and summer addition, look no further.

I love citrus fragrances, especially grapefruit centric ones, and I love the only other Creed I’ve tried so far (Virgin Island Water), so naturally I expected to love Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse too. But to my disappointment, I don’t. The citrus in this is rather unoriginal, and quite weak to boot. It’s overwhelmed by scents that I don’t care for, a vaguely masculine soapy woodiness. I agree with a reviewer below: to me it seems more suited for an older man than for a woman around 30 like myself.

Very average scent. Not worth the price. OK bergamot/ hot weather scent. 5 hours max if you are lucky. Get a cheap scent and it will be better. Creed should be ashamed!!

Very pleasant citrus mandarin start, mixed with slightly soapy but unobtrusive ambergris in background.
At 15 minutes White Flowers come on strong… Together with citrus create a very relaxing scent.
Later dries down to pleasant ambergris.

Inexperience was my greatest teacher. This was one of the first niche scents in my collection. Now that i got my nose under some high quality fragrances, i feel like Creed Pamplemousse is an afterthought. There are sooooooooo many better citrus scents on the market. The only people that wouldn’t agree are Creed fanatics.

In my opinion, this perfume is prominent with white flowers from middle note to the end and slightly subtle with bitter citrus. However, the citrus is rather standing power about 10 – 15 minutes after spray. Totally staying power on me is 7 – 8 hours. It’s nice and worthy to try.

A very attractive scent by Creed, comes off very light and airy. In my opinion it is more of a feminine scent due to the white flowers in the dry down. My girlfriend and I are sharing this but we are probably not going to be purchasing it again.

What a lovely way to get to know Creed! I’m honestly kind of intimidated by those big masculine bottles with the crossed swords – but Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse is my kind of scent – casual, chic, and unisex.
Opens as a citrus, fades into a mossy wood. It’s very much an American gothic novel, set somewhere in the deep South in an citrus grove down the hill from an abandoned Victorian. That looming dark base note gives the scent depth – and it stays on my skin pretty endlessly. Would love to have the budget for this one!

What’s not to like in Creed ZESTE MANDARINE PAMPLEMOUSSE? This is a refreshing, all-purpose, every sex citrus scent in which mandarin, bergamot, and grapefruit mingle in equal proportions with, it seems, vetiver.
The famous/infamous Creed water is entirely absent from this linear composition, which will be good news for some. The bad news is that the longevity is poor–I could empty an entire bottle over the course of a short vacation.
ZESTE is a pleasing light and casual summertime scent which I can wholeheartedly recommend to those with no budget constraints.
