After three previous versions of Zen: black from 1964, white from 2000 and gold from 2007, perfume house of Shiseido has placed a newer edition, named Zen Gold on the market. Zen was poured in a precious, elegant bottle which is “as radiant as real gold” this time.

This smells waay better than coco chanel. It has NONE of the powdery tone of Chanel- it’s much cleaner/ fresher with a woody earthy skin warming undertone, especially when it dries. Some days it smells more musky than others for some strange reason and can totally relate to one commenter’s view that it smells like men’s cologne- on the rare occasion I have thought this, usually when I’m coming on to my monthly’s.

I read about this fragance an got curious. But when I smell it, I had to buy. It´s incredible. Different of everything I ever smell, seems like you are hugging yourself… It´s the sexier fragance I ever prove. I have the gold edition, but they give me samples of the normal one. And to those one who are asking if is any diference, I tell you: NO. It´s the same. Perfect

I loved this scent. It reminds me quite a lot of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, but this one has somewhat citrus note that makes it a bit fresher than CM. It’s on my wish list already!

My first reaction to ZEN GOLD was trying to figure it out if I didn’t sprayed men’s fragrance on myself. Even now, I’ve checked through shiseido list..nope, there was no mistake.
As you could already guess, I think it actually smells like men’s cologne to me, and mostly what I get in abundance are citruses ,citruses and more citruses..though even as men’s cologne I wouldn’t fancy it.. I smelled much better fragrances, well, and much worse too.
