Wood lives up to its name. More a rugged straightforward expression than a soft interpretation scent. It’s a perfectly balanced, if simple, blend of your cornerstone “wood” essentials… cedarwood, spruce or fir, rooted in a rich vetiver that isn’t afraid to show itself. Lime is listed in the notes, but seems to serve as a softener and slight sweetener to the vetiver vs making a showing on its own. Projection is low, typical of a natural fragrance, but has a surprisingly longer staying power than I anticipated. This is a winter scent, though I’m sampling in the summer.
