    Warm and sensual.
    I like it
I didn’t write the notes as I wore unfortunately. I remember an eraser note. It’s more floral juicy than original, original is a touch soft spicier and a smidge dryer

Yeah i admit starting is like vomiting. I think its because of orientality. Wait maybe it changes. I bought last night from Sephora i thought it was good but my nose was blind now i learned 🙁 night one. Smells like si giorgio armani for me but MK is bearable. Si isnt. Heavy. Oriental flowery. I dont wanna give dislike 395 turkish lira i paid :/ reminded me heavily arab scent.

I don’t understand all the hate this perfume gets. I absolutely love it.
Initially, i was drawn to the original Wonderlust. It smelled intriguing from the bottle and on paper, and seemed like “just my kind of scent”! I was sure i will love it. I got a sample of it in the store, but on my skin it was quite underwhelming. It was nice, but a little bland.
On to the Sensual Essence version. First time i smelled it from the bottle – i really didn’t like it. I don’t really remember how or why i got a sample of this. Tried it once, but was underwhelmed as well. And then i don’t know what happened, but next time i wore it, i fell totally in love with this scent. But i’m a lover of floral orientals. And i love the smokey aspect this perfume has.
On me, it is not weak. It has a good lasting power and projects well (big plus). On clothes, i can smell it for a few days. Mostly suited for late autumn, imo.
Seeing the dislike bar, i bought a backup bottle, cause this might be short-lived…

I instantly liked the Wonderlust but when I moved on to this Wonderlust Sensual Essence (on the same day I did the spray tests on both of them), it turned into a complete disaster on my skin. I smelled something kinda “sickening rotten”, “chemical” and “synthetic”, and last but not least, the strong “moth ball”-like smell. It did not work with my chemistry at all. I felt like this one was an overdone, overkilled copy of the Wonderlust.
At that time, Macy’s had a big sale 50% off for the Wonderlust and the Sexy Ruby only (beautiful packages that contained perfume, and/or cosmetic bag, lotion, and/or rollerball and body wash), but NO sale offered for this beast. Thank god!

Smells like Nag champa. It’s too flat and nondimensional for my taste. I like citrus and musk to give my perfume some depth. It smells like too many ingredients on the same baseline mixed together, giving it a linear rather than pyramid feel

First perfume I’ve ever come across that smells exactly like toilets in a bar/club/restaurant. Quite literally smells like urine and hand soap in a restroom. Bizarre scent.

I own this perfume. I bought it in 2017 after receiving a sample from another order. I also have a sample of wonderlust original sample. I got a great Xmas deal so I bought the 50ml. Always look for a deal people!!
The fragrance is very sensual. Ok I don’t want to patronise but this is the definition of sensual:
    ˈsɛnʃʊəl/
    adjective
of or arousing gratification of the senses and physical, especially sexual, pleasure.
E.g “the production of the ballet is sensual and passionate”
So in my opinion. Wonderlust sensual fits its name. Sensuality is a personal experience. I have personally found that soft, warm notes with sweetened layers to be quite sensual in fragrances. This beautiful perfume has a very cashmere trail, which I believe is the suede base note. It begins with juicy fruits I detect the cherry (which are more ripened than sour IMO, yum) and delectable pear notes my beloved white florals and perfect orange blossom, the heart notes linger for ages which is classic MK vibes anyway.. but the dry down is a beautiful SENSUAL suede. It’s almost a gourmand beginning before it settles to a smoother blended dry down.
Again typically these designers aren’t creating anything groundbreaking but this is a beautiful fragrance. I think it is a perfect part of my valentines collection and the bottle!
OMG people! The bottle is flippin’ amazing absolutely stunning great quality metal with the most stunning tropical pink hue gradient. It’s dreamy. Sturdy a polished finish. Wear this to draw attention and for romantic close encounters.
One of my favourites MK perfumes. But try the original wonderlust it’s just as beautiful.

Wonderlust Sensual Essence is quite a polarising scent.
I’ll start by saying that the packaging is really eye-catching with its dark pink ombre bottle and heavy gold cap. I really enjoyed the original Wonderlust with its fruity, almost clean blend of almond and fruits. I had hoped that Wonderlust Sensual Essence would be just as pretty on the skin.
In all honesty, this is a surprisingly odd composition. I smell a lot of white musk, pear, sour cherry, suede, and amber, which unfortunately don’t all blend together as well as they should. The result is sadly chemical-smelling, like a fragrance that tried a little too hard to be different and didn’t quite turn out the way the perfumer had hoped.
I gave Wonderlust Sensual Essence a fair chance, even testing it a few times to allow for a possible change in opinion. Unfortunately each and every time I tested it on my skin, I was keen to wash it off.
According to Fragrantica, Wonderlust Sensual Essence is an Oriental Floral, but to be completely honest, I don’t know where this fragrance fits in. Whilst I firmly believe that all fragrances deserve to be given a fair chance, I would strongly advise testing the original Wonderlust first just in case this flanker puts you off the whole range entirely.

I can’t explain the hate-bar for the Sensual Essence flanker. I don’t understand the hate. Today I was wearing this perfume and it is a solid like. Don’t simply dismiss it, it has some good qualities.
Sprayed at 12:00 and from 16:00 the overall scent started fading and fading until gradual dissapearance from the skin. It stays close to the skin for all the weartime. So generally this flanker has two qualities that the majority of women wishes for: it doesn’t offend anyone and lasts just enough so it doesn’t get tiring.
Sensual Essence flanker is what you would call “perfumey”. The notes according to Michael Kors site are:
    ▪Nashi pear
    ▪black cherry
    ▪orange blossom
    ▪suede
    ▪amber
Initially there is a blast of a white floral-woody scent. What you will get is going to soften and soften but won’t change as a smell, it is too linear, no development. It is perfumey, ever so slightly sweet, soft incense, very medicinal; I guess cherry and amber can cause that. Strangely it is quite interesting and why not(?)sexy. The floral tricked me, I thought it was lily, but orange blossom will do as well. Very woody, more woody than it actually suggests.
Somewhere I would smell patchouli and santalwood too.
Sensual Essence is a modernized floral oriental. It’s sheer/thin enough not to be considered a fruity-floral and to remain in the oriental genre. It is a beautiful and modern creation. Give it at least a sniff.

I really love it ! Dare I compare it to Coco edt by Chanel – Yes , as it truly smells like Coco edt does. Not like a complete dupe but it has the same Vibe. At least to my nose. Heavy, boozy like and thick feminine fragrance – truly live up to its name, Sensual. Very floral with heavy Jasmine , and wonderful drydown with spicy leather and cashmere. Love it.

It doesn’t smell sensual to me, more like bitter somehow. Floral, woody and spicy. I don’t like the scent, can’t enjoy such sharp scent.
Not for me, won’t be buying or wearing it.

Well I guess I’m gonna have to go against the grain with this perfume.
I really love it! Every time I went to Ulta I was always drawn to this perfume but because of the negative reviews I decided to wait. I let other peoples opinions of a fragrance deter me from picking up something I really love. I finally bit the bullet and purchased this beauty and I don’t regret it at all.
I don’t smell the plastic/dolls head smell that others have mentioned and I seem to get a better longevity for the cherry top note. The cherry does fade into a nice fruity/floral fragrance with a strong undercurrent of cashmere woods and pepper. I really love the dry down and feel that this is a cozy comforting scent. I received a compliment on it the day I bought it!
This perfume is not groundbreaking but it’s lovely.
Moderate sillage, moderate to long longevity. Easy to wear for any occasion.

Edenrocks, you’re so right about that fake plastic smell and the sour cherry note! I just sniffed the bottle at Ulta and that was the exact combination I got. No interest in spraying at that point. That plastic tone is really weird, almost like the head of a plastic doll or something. I’ve smelled that note in something else but can’t recall it now…

I was in it for the cherry and as it turns out it was nothing but a top note, gone within the first half hour. The rest is jasmine and sandalwood, but nothing special… I must have smelled that jasmine sandalwood smell in 100 perfumes. It’s a no for me.

Very faint at the beginning and quite bizarre later. I can’t smell any cherry in it! What a shame because I love sour cherry scents. However, most of them are far too sweet while others are like plastic.
This one is not bad but it’s barely there.

This is a weird sour cherry scent mixed with something fake-smelling that I can’t pinpoint (plastic?) but have smelled before. It is nothing like the original Wonderlust, which I really like. I would highly recommend not buying this blind.

I almost ordered this one blindly from ULTA the other day because they had 20% off. Now that I’ve had the chance to try it, I’m glad I didn’t.
While I do love the first one, this one is not nearly as good. It starts out very promising. I did love the cherry/fruity note that was kind of mixed with the original. Then; the fruit seemed to get kind of sickening on me, and reminded me of rotten fruit. Now; a few hours after wearing it, it has turned kind of plasticky. I still smell the cherry, but it smells generic.
This one is a no for me.

at first sniff, I find it to be a fruitchouli like Jimmy Choo, or the sour cherry mimics a fruitchouli..not sure..it isnt in my opinion as good or unique as the original.first impression is that there are too many notes that kind of make it a bit of a messy scent..now, I just got it.,.but it doesnt impress me much..it doesnt smell great, it seems rather light and linear…
oh well, will give it some time., truth is I dislike cherry as a note..
I dont think it comes close to being as good as Fragile!

It’s an airy Fruity Floral with a simple cherry note laced around it. It’s pretty.
