I have to say I like this and I especially like the price here in the UK £3.99 for 30mls.
It smells pretty inoffensive, clean and very soapy. I get a faint smell of escada (the one from way back in the red box). This has a very 90’s vibe…but not like those powerful ones this is soft. I get flowers and definitely get sandalwood with this perfume. It is a sophisticated classic but not in the same class as Chanel No5 or Rive Gauche.

The newest addition to my Giorgio Beverly Hills kick:
I did like this fragrance back when it was launched, but never owned a bottle.
I purchased it just recently at a bargain.
It is a bright, sunny, cheerful scent. I cannot imagine being gloomy and wearing this. Though “White” flowers are listed, the feel is a sunny yellow.
I get a sweetness almost like honey, likely from the lily. I also can detect the softness of carnation.
I do not detect any fruitiness, and indeed no fruits are listed. I do feel a clove type note, perhaps its the way the sandalwood blends with the other notes, but I like cloves so enjoy that. And yes, there are echoes of Eternity, but this is a far more bold and full bodied scent.
As said, it is a bold fragrance, so best applied lightly, otherwise it could be overwhelming to others.
Even though it is not an irresistible, love fragrance, i do enjoy it immensely and will wear it often. And at current prices it can be had for, what a bargain.

I think i prefer the reformulation as this used to be too strong for me. It reminds me of a cross between Acqua di Gio for woman (1995) and Eternity for woman (1988). I can see that Wings came in 1992 which is between the two fragrances mentioned. A proper 90s scent that i remember when i was at school. In fact im also getting a strong Sun Moon and Stars (1994) vibe which was released after Wings. Im only going by the mentioned dates here.
In fact now that i sniff my wrist after dry down i can smell more of SM&S rather than Eternity. Wings sticks to my skin quite well. Im finding it as similar in strength to the current Eternity at the moment.

I wanted to like this, but even though it’s not listed in the notes this has a strong clove note which ruins it for me. I hate the odor of cloves and unfortunately my skin seems to project it.

Testing a mini vintage. White floral as they come but this one is nice and not cloying. Recommended. SMALL drop needed as nuclear but very nice. To me, better than Giorgio.

This bright floral is complex, heady, floral-fluffy and soft with smoky and woody, herbaceous grounding undertones that give it depth and richness, particularly the cedar here. The diversity of contrasting notes creates an harmonic, delicate and sophisticated etude of sheer feminine delight. This is one of those that I’ve gone through multiple bottles of over the years and remains a favorite. Very fortunately, it’s still readily available and affordable to everyone, although the fragrance itself speaks of unattainable class and quiet elegance. LOVE me some Giorgio Wings!
    Fragrance: 9/10
    Sillage: 8/10
Longevity: 6/10 (of course, we wish our delicious fumes could last forever once spritzed, no?)

I still remember myself, 12-13 years old, standing in the cosmetics section of Robinson’s May, looking curiously at a poster of Isabella Rosselini at the Lancome counter, engulfed and entranced by the scent of powder, lipsticks and perfume, knowing, this would become a lifelong addiction.
I had just begun playing with fragrances back then.
I was just about to leave the department store into the mall, when a Prescriptives lady sprayed Flirt into the air (another one of my 90s favourites), it was then, in my peripheral vision, I was lured by a Wings box set containing a full size and beautiful little mini EDP.
I fell in love with the blue and gold hues and when I inhaled the perfume, wore it, I became it.
Some 20 years and 200 hundred perfumes later, this still wins a prize in my top drawer.
Nothing ever has given me quite so much pleasure and now, pure nostalgia.

I will never understand what makes me anosmic to Wings. Such a lovely fragrance, opens with a burst of lily and lilac, soft but powerful and then…nothing, I become totally anosmic to it.
Truly beautiful , light and powerful at the same time.

    Don’t really like it
    Reminds me of tumeric

I was exited to try it taking into account so many positive reviews. But unfortunately it is not for me. I think many reviews are based on the memories of a good past time and how people felt themselves when they were younger. Memories are associated with the happy time more than the fragrance itself and it is a psychological effect. This fragrance smells 90 ies. In the opening (5 first minutes) there are loud flowery accords which I like. But just after it starts smell extremely chemical for me. It is maybe a matter of the chemistry but I cannot wear it. Not for me unfortunately.

Fragrance Review For Wings By Giorgio Beverly Hills
Top Notes Gardenia Lily Passion Flower Rose Osmanthus Marigold
Middle Notes Cyclamen Orchid Lilac Jasmine Heliotrope
Base Notes Sandalwood Amber Musk Cedar
Let Your Fragrance Fly With Wings
Briefly, this is a sweet soapy floral scent. I’m exploring the Giorgio Beverly Hills fragrance line and only the 1st Giorgio Beverly Hills in the yellow and white striped box – a white floral masterpiece – and RED are impressive and unforgettable. Wings is forgettable. This is a cheap perfume. As far as floral fragrances go, this is an easy to wear, light floral. Gardenia’s missing. This is not at all a white floral. I detected the lilac, heliotrope passion flower and orchid. This smells just the tiniest bit tropical but it’s a weak attempt at being a tropical perfume. The gardenia would have been a plumeria or Tiare but it’s hidden in the backdrop of mostly the other floral scents including cyclamen and marigold which sadly, don’t last very long. It turns into a domestic product rather quickly. Truth is this is flower shampoo. The base notes do not support the flowers very well. The sandalwood is asleep and the amber is the kind of amber I recall from powdery/soapy scents like L’Air Du Temps. This is nothing like L’Air however. It’s a good fresh after the shower floral scent. If you like to wear florals that’s fine but this is a cheaply made fleeting floral scent. I do wear this from time to time but only at night and with my lingerie as a sophorific to get me to sleep. It’s not quite a flower garden either. It’s no Oh! de London or Quelques Fleurs. The flowers are pleasant but too short lived to really bask in their scent. It’s pretty, feminine, delicate and sweet. If this sounds like the kind of perfume you might like I would advise you wear this to bed. It feels so good in bed.

I tried it a few years back at a local chemist`s – they were down to 4 (yes 4!) euro by the 30 ml bottle, and I instantly bought at least 5 of them, and gave to mum and other females in the family. We all agreed that it`s a pleasant, everyday scent for women in their 30s and beyond, that you can wear all summer long. It has the right balance of freshness-floweriness-muskiness, I never found any similarity with Eternity or Rumeur though. To me it`s pure white flowers, gardenia and lily especially, and the drydown is quite musky. It`s probably the best budget perfume I ever bought..And I agree, that it does have the 90s vibe..In any way – I`m defo getting a budget bottle of it sometime soon!

This on me was one beautiful weak scent. Flowery, airy, lily and lilac sweet, so much more lovelier than Pleasures, but then it was gone, completely, in 10 to 20 minutes.

Love this scent, one spray only. Strong florals, beautiful mix gardenia, tuberose and others. very clean floral with no powdery dry down. love it
Loud and proud 90s floral. One spray will do. This scent is hard to find, but great for someone who loves florals( or Giorgio)..

The scent of those days of nostalgia, bringing back memories of beautiful 90’s. I think the new formulation is maybe less complex and less “loud”, but still having the signature “back to 90’s” style. When applied, the fragrance appears to be a little heavy, but it develops to nice balsamic scent within 15-20 min. The mix of floral, woody and balsamic notes builds a beautiful, classic and elegant composition, which is more suitable for grown-up girls. For the staying power – can’t consider it as a long-lasting, but even when it fades, there is a nice “aftertaste” that reminds for hours, seating very close to the skin.

As I’d never been able to tolerate the original GIORGIO, I hadn’t bothered to try any of the other fragrances from this brand. But then, several weeks ago, I happened to encounter a tester of WINGS and instead of ignoring it, I picked it up and sniffed (cautiously). To my surprise, it seemed nice, so I sprayed a card (also cautiously, to avoid getting any on myself) and it still seemed nice. So, even more cautiously, I sprayed my hand (and readied myself to do a mad dash to the bathroom to wash it off), but it continued to be nice. I let it develop for awhile and to my absolute astonishment, I liked it enough to purchase a bottle.
WINGS is a lush and sumptuous floral, but it’s not overpowering as long as I keep it to one spray or two at the most. It’s creamy and a bit spicy and just a little woody underneath. The gardenia is noticeable, but it remains a team player. Longevity is excellent. It’s not sweet and there are no notes of fruit or vanilla, so it’s very different from most of the fragrances that are fashionable now. As I’d avoided the original WINGS, I wouldn’t know if they’ve updated the formula, but the current version is certainly wearable and not just in the privacy of one’s home. Also, it can be easily found at significantly discounted prices, so it’s not a major investment if you want to try something different.

I have the Elizabeth Arden version in EDT (no longer states Giorgio anywhere on the packaging). I really do remember this smell from childhood now that I have it and have sprayed it, it is very close to Eternity, but is less fruity (I don’t get melon from this) and less sterile, this is warmer and more musky. Very uplifting, I feel quite sad today and it has instantly put me in a better mood so it lives up to it’s name well. Reminds me a little of Lanvin Rumeur and Fred Hayman’s touch but this is a little less ‘laundry fresh’ than Touch which I find much more bearable. The longer I wear it the more I can smell Estee Beautiful Love in this which is great as it was a fave of mine and is now discontinued. Shower fresh and sparkling and not overly aquatic/ozonic which I can handle. I was scared this was going to be like Sunflowers on me (which I can’t stand) and it is a little bit similar to Splendor (I consider these my two fresh and clean scents) but it is actually very wearable for a very 90s scent. Lilacs and gardenias and a big bunch of fresh cut lilies and very uplifting.
Definitely go for the vintage if you can find it it’s much less synthetic smelling

Good God, I had this back in the 90s. I interspingled between this, Body Shop Dewberry and Fuzzy Peach and Cacharel LouLou. You must’ve been able to smell me a mile off. I did think at the time this was a beautiful, yellow floral. Definitely yellow flowers. Very summery.

This screams GARDENIA AND LILAC on me which is fantastic as I love gardenias and lilacs almost more than any other flowers. For me the sillage is really pretty impressive wafting around me in a lovely floral cloud.
It’s very soft and feminine and pretty, but not shy and retiring which is perfect if you ask me. It’s a charming vivacious chatterbox of a woman in a flowered hat

Originally I had a small sample bottle of this and found it very pleasant, so when I saw the edt on offer I decided to buy it. And I’m glad I did. This is a lovely floral scent. Gardenia and lily are strong on me. The initial peppery smell is similar to Calvin Klein Eternity but not as strong. Moderate longevity and sillage. A lovely day wear fragrance.

My aunt has this and it is quite lovely. But, I don’t think anyone under 30 could pull this off. However it is a nice scent, but not sexy like Chanel No5.

I had both this and Giorgio when I first wore perfume. This one seems more clean and sparkling. Somehow this reminds me of aquatic perfumes(and it was out long before aquatics were the in thing!)I now realize that the white flowers in this are gardenia and jasmine and Giorgio had tuberose. I do best these days without tuberose. Interesting that this has passion flower I didn’t know that was used in perfume but I also like the tea.
I think the bottle is cute too.

Wings is a very green floral to me. There is not a single fruity note listed, so I don’t know how this can be classified as a fruity floral. It doesn’t smell fruity at all. There is an abundance of waxy white florals, complete with a touch of bitterness. I feel that there are leaves and stems included in these notes, not just the petals. I wish I could smell more of the lilac and rose, as they are flowers that have a sweet crispness, but I can smell mostly gardenia and lily. A bit of sweetness would improve this in my opinion. The drydown is very faint, a lovely sandalwood and musk. I wish it were stronger at the base. I know this smells very similar to something else I have smelled or own, but I can’t figure out what it is. It is reminiscent of many non-sweet florals that I associate with the 70’s and 80’s, even though this came out in the 90’s. I don’t often wear these greenish florals, but they must suit me, as I have already received a compliment about my scent with the first person I encountered today.

This white floral fragrance isn’t too loud or scary. I apprecaite big white florals for what they are, and I know many people who can wear them well. I, unfortunately cannot wear heavy white florals. They turn on me into something terrible. This perfume on the other hand, is very, very nice. It’s a sweet white floral with whisps of freshness behind it. It’s a great fragrance and worth checking out.

I never wore this when it was new but from the reviews I decided to take a chance and buy it. I really like it! I, too, find that it smells very similar to CK Eternity. Very fresh and floral. Not as good as far as longevity as Eternity but still very nice!

I had this fragrance when I was a teenager. I loved it very much; it smelled flowery/woody/ambery, a very comforting scent. Sadly, every time I sprayed it on my skin it gave me a rash so I had to give up with it.
This is one of the very few cases where I would really appreciate a careful reformulation, to be able to wear it again!

Marigold & Heliotrope give it specific chemical/plastic smell impression. Quite strong at the beginning settles down nicely. Ps. Narcisse is warm, this one is cool. I would keep Wings on the same shelf together with Splendor E. Arden.

I put this on today, usually avoiding it for some reason or another. At work – I was sure somebody was wearing CK Eternity – until i realised that that smell was coming from me!! On me is exactly like Eternity – though i can understand how some readers would also think Chloe Narcisse! Will wear this more often i think – i do like to ‘smell’ the perfume i am wearing.

I tested this today because the minis were on special. At first I thought maybe it smelt a bit like Chloe Narcisse but the more I sniffed I realised what it actually reminded me of was Calvin Klein Eternity. Not an exact copy, just similar. Because I like both of those fragrances I went ahead and got it. Sure, I have maybe too many perfumes, but who can resist a mini for around $4!

The opening is a bit shrieky – LOUD, sharp white flowers. Whoa!!!! At first I thought I had made a real mistake with this blind buy, lol. But the dry down (on me 35 minutes) is worth waiting for – I get a spicy vanilla (heliotrope)/amber mixed with florals. As Heidilynn mentioned, the dry down is a bit reminiscent of The One although The One has a much richer vanilla note. Wings is more spicy floral. I now remember smelling Wings back in the 90’s even though I never wore it myself. I liked it back then, I like it now. Sprayed relatively lightly, it lasts around 5 hours on me.

Bought a small mini-bottle from a sales bin. Never heard of it.
Reminds me of Eternity in some ways.
I get a spicyness to it like a carnation note(really into the carnation vibe at the moment) so that would seem like a floral oriental scent.
Very floral. But DEFINITELY NOT fruity.
    Very strong…apply with light hand.
Nice for when one is in the mood for a bold floral fix.

I smelled this on a random stranger, and by the grace of a kind Fragrantican got a small decant in the mail to try. Big, white florals kind of scare me—sometimes they do awful things on my skin–so I approached Wings with some caution. I used the wand on the decant bottle to swipe a tiny bit on my wrist and decolletage.
The opening 10 minutes were odd; I got the gardenia, maybe the rose and what I’m pretty sure was the osmanthus–which gave it a “fruity” note, and also the tinyest hint of urine (oh no!). Deep sniffs gave the urine smell, so I stopped sniffing deeply and just breathed in the fragrance– and that was the right strategy to appreciate Wings. It evolved into a glorious white floral, not screechy, not overbearing, just fresh and springy. I don’t think I could pick out the peony, lilac and heliotrope, but together they gave a marvelous marvelously blended floral. I really enjoyed the middle notes of this fragrance, they were like a breath of fresh spring breeze.
The dry down is a pale amber, quite similar to D&G The One’s dry down. It’s not a bold, golden amber, but sweet and gentle.
Sillage was armslength, longevity about 5 hours (4 to get to the drydown). This was a lovely fragrance, I am so glad I got to try it.

I actually wore this a few weeks ago, on a girls night out. Not sure why i chose this one, i haven’t been wearing it in over a decade (and yes it still smells the same, hasn’t turned). I was a bit tired of my usual perfumes i guess. Lo and behold, i did get compliments that night. I remember one in particular, a guy dragged his friend to sniff my neck, and stated “this is how a woman should smell like” 😀

I am rather excited! I’ve just come upon an old copy of Victoria magazine ~ with an UNOPENED tester flap of Wings!
The soaring picture of the woman jumping for joy in her yellow frock, captured me at once. WHY has no one opened this yet?! So I made myself wait until my own perfume – of – the – day began to fade before sampling Wings.
    LIQUID SUNSHINE
I could have sworn I was smelling the yellow punch of Narcissus and the sweetness of Tuberose, but no. So this sharp and heady – sweet potion must be a combination of Gardenia, Lilac, and Marigold. Backed by the excellent base of Amber, Cedar, and Sandalwood…. what a fine balance.
This perfume perfectly conjures up sunshine, and actually delivers on it’s ad copy. WOW. Pleasant surprise indeed!

I used to wear this in the early 1990’s, along with New West Skinscent by Aramis. Both are fresh, aquatic fragrances. I used to wear this whilst working in a bar in my student days and I remember getting a lot of compliments with it, in fact one of my co-workers adopted it as her signature scent and still loves it to this day.
I tried Wings again recently, after finding a bargain in a TK Maxx, but sadly, it was too strong, too “chemical” for me, a little overpowering, not how I remember it at all. It reminded me of an old-lady type smell. I have just sold my bottle on Ebay.
At first spray is when its most offputting – when it settled down after a couple of hours, the smell was more pleasant, but not enough for me to wear again! Some things belong in the past, and this is one of those – “we should never look back cos we’re not going that way!”

Wore this back in 1995, I remember being addicted to it and sprayed it liberally during a long, hot summer ! Bought a bottle a couple of years ago to add to my collection, the memories came back with one whiff it made me smile ! A potent, rich white floral – wow so Giorgio, just so 90’s but not in a bad way.

I ordered it blind and I was shocked. Absolutely love it. It is not a fruity floral, but rather an oppulent floral oriental. They do not make many perfumes like this these days, people seem to be afraid of them. It is sweet, full, deep, great. Smells very much of jasmine, lilac and amber to me and that is why I love it. Love jasmine and amber and although lots of perfumes these days have jasmine in their names and almost all, like in the past, do have it amongst their notes, practically no perfumes smell of jasmine. It is probably too rich and opulent for these days. Wings reminds me a lot of Poison, but even more of the original Lumíére, which I like much better than Poison. While Poison is a bit cloying and too sweet (although I do like it), none of these too is. Well, I like the original Lumiére much better than Wings, it is even denser, but that one has been out of production for a longtime now. Nevertheless I consider Wings a wonderful replacement. Differently from Poison and Lumiére it does in fact have this musky animalic understone which otherwise also makes it special. Never guessed really. I am very happy with it. A true mood lifter.

Had and used this in the 90’s, along with Poison and Eternity. Now when i smell those, i’m wondering “what was i thinking” 😀 ?. All of them actually still smell good, but i remember being very liberal with spraying them on. Now, if i used any of these, one spritz would be more than enough. More than that, headache and nausea.
Sprayed on some Wings now, and it actually is quite lovely as it settles on the skin. I can’t detect any fruits in this, it’s a big floral, very well blended. Sillage and longevity are both great, so please people, apply sparingly 🙂

Something about this reminds me of Sun, Moon, and Stars by Karl Lagerfield. Both are very 90s type perfumes and really have a nostalgic feeling to them for me growing up as a teen of the 90s. I still think this is a very enjoyable and pretty perfume especially during the Springtime if you are not too heavy handed. If over applied this can really give me a migraine. I don’t think it is old fashioned as some have stated. It’s a classic. I mean, I think classic perfumes are like classic cars, ya know? They never go out of style. Great memories go with this perfume and good times!

To my mother’s dismay, someone gave this to me when I was in Jr High. She is not a purfume person, you see and here was her kid drowning everything in Wings!
I remember flowers and warmth and feeling like a grownup while wearing it. It’s not one I’d wear now as my tastes have changed, but I like the smell for its memories.

I love this fragrance. I found a small bottle of the perfume in a consignment shop.
This is a soft, sofisticated & modern floral which smells like dominate white florals on me, which I love. Gardenia??? How can it go wrong??? Love at first sniff.
The base notes keep it from being a too-sweet floral on me & it just softens to a watery white floral. It reminds me of Chanel No 5 because they smell similar.
Love it & worth every penny. ‘Just wish it would last longer than 4-6 hours on me.

A bright, sweet, cheerful floral, done in the 80’s style. I like it, and wore it in the 90’s. one of my top florallly-florals, as I am a sandalwoody/spicy/sweet girl. Very nicely done….need to love lilacs!!
    GREAT lasting power and silage.

I bought it as a stocking filler for my 15 year old daughter. And she loves it. It’s a fantastic floral, very balanced and classy. just like the perfumes that were made in those days. I can smell it long after she has walked through a room. so a little will go a long way.
I really can’t understand today’s fashion of sweet perfumes that smell all the same and vanish after a couple of hours. it is just clever marketing but not the art of perfume making.
I will certainly buy another bottle of wings when she finishes with this one. and if she wants to wear something different, well, i don’t mind using it myself.

I used to wear this when I was a teenager. It was an innocent scent to me and very long lasting from what I remember. I always got compliments when I wore it; usually from other girls, but a few boys too. Very nicely done frag.

OH MY!!! This perfume does have wings! it goes everywhere i go! unbelievable lasting power! at first i didn’t like it much because i felt that this perfume is too “floral” for me, overpowering… but now i love it! i think i learned to love it, i understand now that with this perfume you have to let some time pass after you spray it before you judge it, it has to dry down and only then you can see how it works with you…only then you can smell the real wings charm!

I have been wearing this fragrance for ten years now. I receive compliments from men and other women alike. I wear it for day and evening. On me, it’s not too strong at all. If I had a signature fragrance, I would say that it is Wings. I absolutely love it!

Warning: This is not like today’s weak Floral Fruity fragrances. Wings is a very heady Floral and must be applied in small quantities.
Intense and musky. High presence of Gardenia!

Great fragrance but this stuff sent me to the hospital with hives! I’m highly allergic to something in it. But if you can wear it…, it’s a very nice perfume.

A very woman-ish every-day-scent. I like it but I’m not sure why I don’t love it. I had a bottle and when it was empty I didnt miss it at all. Nice, good staying-power on my skin.
    Nice – just nice

It is full of osmathus (think of Narciso Rodriguez for Her)…creamy osmathus floating in the sky, falling into a field of lilac, jasmine….slipping into an amber river…personal and passionate…complex and exciting but not sophisticated…raw and loud but super-feminine
Reminds me of the night…I use it for night sleeping these days…the strong osmathus-amber dry down always shocks me in the morning 🙂

I had received the EDP as a graduation present. Remember thinking that I was in no way mature enough for it. Could once in a while pull it off for an early evening with a long night to follow. Perhaps it was the absolute strength of the elixir. Somehow, it now makes me quite nauseous.

WINGS is a strong and airey floral aroma
But I like it after it ”sits” a bit
Got it for my teenage niece and it smells heavenly on her
and her boyfriend really likes it too
I feel its very well blended and has a distinct and fragrant ”girly” smell thats sweet and innocent .

Do they still sell this stuff?? OMG! I loved this perfume about 20 years ago…wow. I think Georgio of Bev Hills was quite progressive at that time. My olfactory senses have defiitely matured since then.

sharp floral, just a little bit old-fashion because reminds me of the frags that women wore in my childhood. But thats not bad..i think i will wear it with pleasure. It is very flowery and gives me lil migrane though, but that cant stop me from liking it!
P.S And also it is not floral-fruity,it is 100% floral to my nose;)

I wore this my senior year of highschool and not since. I smelled it recently after a 14 year hiatus, and now I think it smells old fashioned. I wouldn’t buy this one again, but I remember thinking it smelled great back in the day. It funny how perfumes can take you back to different times in your life.

This is the one I tried since my co-worker used Giorgio all the time. I did like this, but now I wear lighter ones.

I was wearing the heck out of this back in 2000! It is very strong and floral I think the orchid and marigold really stands out in this one! Overall a nice fragrance!

Another middle school favorite of mine…I don’t recall considering it a ‘floral fruity’, however. Very strong floral with a nice peppery musk in the dry-down. I doubt I will ever wear it again, as my tastes have changed! 🙂

I like it a lot, it has a musky spice to it. I like my perfumes a little on the strong side, that’s the only way they last long on me.
