Description

An exquisite fragrance that captures the purity and simplicity of white tea.

Perfumers & co-creators Rodrigo Flores-Roux, Guillaume Flavigny & Caroline Sabas, describe the inspiration for White Tea:

“For this fragrance creation, we wanted to capture that refreshing moment of blissful solace experienced at the first sip of tea. White Tea Vapors and Sea Breeze Accord develop into the sweet smell of White Iris before finishing with the warm wood scent of Madras Wood, Tonka Bean and a delicately blended trio of musks.” White Tea was launched in 2017.

Simply delicious. I’ve blind bought this and was happily surprised. It’s so elegant, rich woman kind of smell ☺️

I picked this up after sampling a tester and walking around the mall, I was totally blown away by the way it overtook the scent I was wearing that day especially since I had only sprayed my wrist. I received sooooooo many compliments!!! For an eau de toilette, it’s a powerhouse in this island summer heat. So beautiful and comforting! It smells just like the ocean.

I have a difficult time finding a daytime Spring/ Summer fragrance. I’m very fond of Orientals, “Hippy,” Woodsies, vanilla, etc. Living in East Texas heat and humidity they tend to be overwhelming. I spritzed a sample of White Tea as I walked by and was pleasantly surprised. I continued to sniff my arm as i shopped and ended up going back and buying a bottle.

Wow (!) Simply wow! An affordable fragance with _so_ much going for it!
This works just perfect in the dry summer heat. On clothes the longevity is great, on skin you get the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful burst of freshness on every reaplication. Combines invigoration and relaxation in one spray. Somehow deeply pleasure inducing, luxurious. Has a definite “spa” association. Green (fern), aromatic (tea) fresh & powdery (mandarin & iris) …
I wore this on a vacation to the Neaples region in Italy, (worked most wonderfully with the Mediterranean late spring/early summer weather!) and when I came home and opened my suitcase the scent wafted all over from my holiday clothes – simply heavenly! I absolutely want to indulge in the body products as well… A most wonderful discovery! Would recommend to all those searching for the perfect refresher with a luxury twist for their summer vacation.

I really enjoy this perfume. It’s soft, fresh and crisp. I fell in love with this scent because for whatever reason, it reminds me of the smell of a brand new book. And yes, I know that the idea of sniffing a book, is sort of strange. But if you’re a bookworm like me, taking a whiff of the pages of a brand new book, is just a natural instinct!!
On this scent I pick up a hint of vanilla, iris and warm woods. It’s the perfect summer scent.

I like it so much on my girlfriend….
citrusy opening by calm and soft dry down…. absolutely nice one. Projection is not that much , mean projects soft but it does for long time . Longevity +6 hours. So kind fragrance

This scent is a wonderful breakthrough for me. It’s something different but very ordinary at the same time, if that makes sense …
It is delicate, intimate, you can not exaggerate as much as you spray. I love the smell of tea! The next one on my purchase list is Bvlgari Au The Blanc, which is similar to it.
I would have wanted longevity to be bigger because the smell was divine and I would like to join me all day! But it’s okay and that’s because it’s a pleasure to spraying it again and again … Heavenly!

I tried this today even though I usually don’t expect EA to have much for me. I guess it was Reese’s sweet face that got me. Green Tea was way too sweet, but this had some element of Johnson’s Baby Shampoo that has kept me smelling my arm. Interesting that the most compared-to scent here is Bvlgari Eau the Blanc. That and White Tea could be unisex scents. I can just picture the white curtains billowing in a very clean house.

Sweet and summery. Smells not so much like perfume, but more like quality skincare products – it really gives an impression of something light and clean. The sillage is quite good on me and so is the longevity – I can clearly still feel it on my clothes the next day. The Iris note combined with tonka bean and woods makes the aroma slightly “dry” on my skin, but tea and citrus notes save it from becoming unpleasant. All in all – a nice scent for those warm days when you want to feel clean and uncomplicated.

This one triggered my allergies. It smells like a generic clean perfume on me: no white tea at all. Very disappointing blind buy.

Ferns and camomile by the sea. This is a calming, zen-like scent that makes me think of toes in the surf and driftwood for a seat. Sometimes the aqueous side comes out a bit more, sometimes the dry, ambery rose and fern, it changes day by day but I always think of the sea when I wear it. A beautiful, calming scent.

Tested it a couple of times, and it is a lovely scent!
Yes, it is green, typically not my type, but something in the drydown kept attracting me. Yes, iris! Soft and powdery. I like iris, but only if it is well-balanced with other notes. And i think it is here.
If you like fresh green scents and powdery iris – this is great! I recommed trying it..

White Tea was advertised in a tax-free shop with a beautiful picture of Reese Witherspoon. Since I love some of the Green Tea scents, I was curious about White Tea and I must admit, I loved the tranquil and happy ad, too.
The Green Teas have a sharp green note in them, and they are very fresh – lovely in a hot climate.
White Tea has a different nature: is is softer and sophisticated, yet relaxed and carefree. I fell in love with the first spritz and ended up buying the whole set, including body lotion and deodorant.
I agree White Tea is a bit like Hermes’ Un jardin sur le Nil but it is less green, less juicy and more powdery.
    The bottle is beautiful.
This will become my go-to fragrance, maybe replacing Dior Addict Eau Fraiche.
(It is also affordable like many other Arden perfumes, but the quality is still great.)

    @samsara82
I understand that you don’t like this perfume. You are entitled to your opinion and to express it. However, describing it as being “inspired by a victim of the Fukushima disaster” is a jaw-droppingly thoughtless and ignorant comment.
I am not easily offended by ignorant remarks. Most of the time, I just ignore them as I simply don’t see the point in expending energy for someone else’s amusement. Occasionally though – and in this case – I feel the need to wade in and say something.
To save anyone from having to look this up:
In March 2011, there was an earthquake in northern Japan, which caused tremendous damage. The resultant tsunami disabled the cooling system of the Fukushima nuclear reactor in Japan; all three cores melted in the following three days, causing a widespread leak of radioactive materials and forcing a mass evacuation of the surrounding population.
In 2012, 573 deaths in the area surrounding Fukushima were attributed to the disaster. People continue to be affected today and – possibly – for generations.
So – which of the victims of the Fukushima disaster do you think inspired the creation of Elizabeth Arden’s White Tea?

My mother tried this on in store today and had me sniff her wrist. I smelled mainly violet, non-descript bubble bath white flowers and sandalwood. It was very smoothly blended, clean and soft. Really lovely. Nothing of the listed notes above rings true to me other than the iris, the ambrette and the woods. I genuinely thought it smelled lovely, but my mother was less keen.

  17. :

This one truly delivers. It’s perfectly clean tea/fresh (slightly aquatic) scent with some mandarin orange background mixed with a bit of woody notes.
Makes me feel like I just put on freshly washed clothes ready to hit spring streets in the town.
Great for office, very inoffensive safe to go and classy. I would get easily bored by this after a week, but that’s just my problem not being into this type of scents.
To me 7/10 and thumbs up.

Oops, that last review was mine. Forgot to log in, and also mention that if you are a fan of marine notes, you may really enjoy White Tea. It defiantly smells salty to me. Very fresh whilst still softly floral.
    Cheers

I really like this perfume – it has great lasting power 8+ hours. Perfect for the office. I feel like this perfume reminds me of Banana Republic clothing brand. Meaning it’s basic but not cheap. It’s serious, mature (not old), and you would usually just wear it to work.
I used to wear EA Green Tea in college and now I prefer something that lasts all the way through my 8 hour work day, unlike Green Tea, White Tea does that. It’s not trying to be flirty or sexy which I also prefer for the office. It’s not too heavy and (as long as you don’t over-spray) shouldn’t offend your neighbors even if you work in a cubicle.
Really happy to have this one in my collection. Lately I find myself leaning more and more toward these types of light-ish, fresh scents (but that are still long lasting and that project) that work year round for the office.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

This one is so underrated. It makes me feel so calm and clean, it’s perfect. I think this is the best perfume to wear to work or just for the day. It is similiar to Bvlgari blanc, but it is less powdery. Ardens White Tea is serious signature material for those, who want a pleasant and classy, but inoffensive scent.

  21. :

Simple, but very well made. It smells classy, clean, sensual and feminine.
Perfect for day to day wear or for the office.
One of the best tea fragrances out there, fitting for a proper and professional lady. It manages to be low profile without being boring.
    Sillage is soft.
    Thumbs up!

I used to be a huge fan of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea. I found it all so fresh, clean, and crisp. Such a perfect fragrance for weekday indoor office use; except for that it smells so light that go completely unnoticed within few hours. Despite me loving it, I made my move to the next brand for better longevity and sillage projection, and sadly never looked into EA’s collection for years.
Seeing White Tea, I was expecting a linear tea-based fragrance (which I happen to like, however), and maybe just a lot less spicy.
    WRONG!
Honestly, I am quite surprised at how great the perfume is.
EA’s White Tea is a very clean yet elegant scent. It has a hint of warm, fluffy musk, and powdery iris to the addition of the refreshing tea scent. Best part is: It lasts for more than a week on my shawl, and basically the whole day in my skin. Unlike the Green Tea line, this fragrance projects beautifully, leaving such an adorable trail, even.
I really really adore this perfume, and I love wearing this in any possible occasion. It’s amazing how easy this fragrance is to wear anytime!

Thrilled that I did a try before I buy on this one!
    I really don’t like it.
I guess I was expecting some sort of creaminess to this. Instead, all I get is a chemical dryness. I’d compare it to a harsh dryer sheet smell. It made me feel as though I’d just got done cleaning. Windex all the way on my skin.

  24. :

I got a couple of samples of this a few days ago and I have been wearing it non stop. I just feel so comfortable and put together when wearing it.
I love the clean, relaxing and comforting feeling of this perfume! It does really smell like a high-end spa to me. For some reason I wasn’t expecting it to work for me now in the winter, but it does! And I imagine it would be perfect for summer too. It doesn’t radiate too much or last a very long time on me, but it’s very alright. I’ll buy a 50ml bottle of this and respray when I feel the need to, because I am hooked.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

This is absolutely elegant. It is the perfume equivalence of a pair of pearl earrings or a cashmere sweater. Anyone can pull if off, and it will be suitable for most occasions and age groups. However, for the same reason, it is not original or innovative by any means. If you want a perfume that announces itself loud and clear, this is not for you. This is better for someone who would like to smell nice, but not noticeable perfumed.
The scent itself is very light, clean and uncomplicated. The strongest association I get is newly showered or expensive shampoo. I can imagine many people would find it overly expensive for something that just smells like shower. Other people might find it well worth it’s price, since it would probably be easy to get enough use to finish the bottle.
Personally I love it. The sampler I have, I wear mainly at my office and at relaxed daytime meet-ups with friends. I would probably not wear it to parties or special occasions, as I have more memorable perfumes for that. When I finish it, I might actually buy it.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This is definately “white”, powdery and spicy.
Its nice but I wouldnt buy it.I think it sooths a more mature woman in a cashmere sweater, its relaxed, confident. Its a nice quiet scent but not for me.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

I agree that this smells a lit like bvlgari white tea. Very calming and great for an office. I think a guy could pull this off. I get decent performance for the type of scent it is: good longevity (6-8hr) with small silage. Ordered a bottle after getting the sample

  28. :

    5 out of 5

I’m testing this now after having smelled it from the bottle a few months ago.
It very much reminds me of Omnia Crystalline and indeed, I checked and the Omnia too contains a tea note.
    White tea is more powdery.
They both create this ‘zen’- like atmosphere.
I like this but I also find it a tad suffocating.
Not sure if it’s the tea or the musk…
ETA – I tried this again a few days ago and decided that I really like it. Will probably purchase. Longevity is quite amazing.

  29. :

This is beautiful and classy. Tea, soft iris, a touch of aquatic & a little amber. It is in no way grandma like, lol. And nothing like the green tea perfume which I think smells synthetic and gross. White tea has great longevity and sillage.
I get asked by men and women what im wearing when I wear this. Truely beautiful.

  30. :

What a wonderful fragrance! It’s so soft and elegant, You can feel a natural fresh tea scent. I’m really glad to add this one in my collection. Definitely you have to try it.

I blind bought this perfume and still waiting for it to come but I’m so scared its not going to be as I want it to be,, i have the green tea one and like i don’t love it, I wished if it stayed longer… I’ll update when I try it
Update: I received mine this morning and sprayed it on and honestly the initial smell is fine to me it smelled clean little refreshing, but when time goes buy it started to get powdery and woody with strong smell of tea and the dry down smells like powdered tea with some woods which I don’t like, it smells masculine and not so interesting on my skin.
    Another failure in blind buying

    O wooooooooooooooooooooow!!
I’m absolutely so in love with this fragrance already & I only got it this morning!! & today no less than four different people & three work colleagues asked me “WHAT’S THAT BEAUTIFUL PERFUME YOU ARE WEARING”!! Being a Senior Theather Nurse I have to be really careful about my perfume choice in work & I usually play it very safe with light clean, green, fresh, powdery smells!! I already have & love the original Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Extreme in the Silver Box because it lasts so much longer than the original Green Tea does & again I always get so many compliments when I’m Wearing it!! I also wear Estee Lauder White Linen & Pleasures Clinique Aromatics In White & Lacoste Pour Femme to name a few!! This new “White Tea” by Elizabeth Arden does follow in the Green Tea family being fresh clean/green etc!! But there’s something in this perfume that I just absolutely go crazy for,& have been getting whiff of it all day on myself!! It’s Just absolutely outstanding gorgeous!! & the bottle design is simple but equally beautiful kinda like Clinique Aromatics In White the way the white glass meets the clear glass!! I honestly think Elizabeth Arden are onto a real winner with this beautiful new gem!! Try/Buy & Then Enjoy!! Simply Stunning!!

I received a sample of this. I could not believe this scent. Soft, elegant, fresh, This is fast becoming my favorite scent. White Tea is not overpowering. This scent lays close to the skin. Very elegant, very fresh. Love the wood notes on the dry down. Love the white iris. This one is a keeper.

  34. :

Great travel fragrance, never gives you a headache fresh and clean with a nice spicy note. Works if you are hungover even. Peppery and green-floral. I can’t imagine anyone hating this one.

  35. :

    Interesting scent
Grabbed this on a whim, to test, and I think it’s exactly what I hoped that whole green tea line would be.
If you like the idea of all those green tea frags by e.a but they smell god awful and go bitter, and last about as long as room spray, then this is your gal.
    Get a white tea
Tea, fresh, soft, the other accords must have support roles.
Not sweet, not green type fresh, not aquatic, kinda dry possibly, totally inoffensive imo.
    Not sure if cost..

Crap on a cracker this perfume amazing! It’s such a refreshing scent but there is something in it that makes me just huff this stuff! I recommend this perfume to any of my clients that want a light refreshing fragrance. There is something rather alluring, delicately feminine about it. Whenever I show it to people their eye’s light up in pleasant surprise. For me the White tea, mandarin, Iris and Sea notes are first upon the senses. It’s when that part settles that, that addicting ingredient can be found. It’s stays on my skin and I have had people ask me what I was wearing. I know that it’s not the Amber. Amber I have scented before. It’s got to be the Tonka bean or the Ambrette. Either way, I highly recommend anyone to test this perfume out.

White Tea is a fantastic perfume for summer or hot weather. It’s a lovely light white tea scent that’s lighter and fresher than the original EA Green Tea. Other than tea, I don’t pick up any distinct notes–the other notes blend together smoothly to provide a clean and fresh base for the tea. Pretty, classy, minimalistic bottle, too! I would have bought this perfume on the spot if I didn’t already own two other tea-centric summer perfumes.

Just got a couple of testers and some lotion. But…this smells pretty darn good. Very fresh and pretty. Something that can be worn here in the southwest I. 100+ heat. Without becoming overpowering at all. In not sure if I will purchase. But I definitely love it!!!

@temo is it aldehydes that wasn’t mentioned?
Does anyone smell a similarity to Roger & Gallet’s Bois d’Orange, especially at first application? A colleague of mine wears the R&G scent, so when I sampled EA’s White Tea, I felt transported back to my office. White Tea for me would be an ideal scent in the afternoon when tackling many stressful situations that require high energy. It’s a lovely launch by EA. Longevity could be improved but the faint muskiness left after an hour is still nice.
I love all EA products, particularly the 8-hour line and lipsticks.

I can’t help but wonder why the rose heart notes are not mentioned here?

  41. :

    5 out of 5

There is a note in this fragrance that I absolutely am crazy for! I am frustrated because I can’t determine exactly what it is! It is not one of the top notes. It must be the synergistic combo of a note in the heart that follows through to the base, then overlaps. Smells like a heavenly spa to me! It started out like the familiar Eliz Arden’s Green Tea that I know, then something wonderful happened as it developed! All I can say is “Ooh-la-la! I’ve found my summer fragrance!
Elizabeth Arden gets it right this time! I notice this one is “made in France”.

Tested this at Shoppers Drug Mart today. I immediately fell in love with the scent. As I sniffed I recognized this.. to me and on my skin it smells so much like Jil Sanders Style. Never thought anything could smell as good as that one did until now! I find it hard to find Style now.. at least this one is widely available! Its so soft and creamy, amazing on this wet, cold rainy day… envelopes you in a warm hug!

Although they don’t smell anything alike, this is everything I wanted Lacoste Pour Femme to be! Lacoste PF had zero silage and lasting power. It was light and fresh and clean, but even if I used it as a body spray, it was gone ten minutes after. EA White tea gives me that clean, freshly showered feeling, but the scent lingers for hours. It is not going to knock anyone back if you pass them by in the aisle of the supermarket…..but it is definitely noticeable in a “warm, radiant aura” kind of way. You don’t end up smelling like one single flower and you certainly don’t end up smelling like tutti fruity or candies and cakes.
The scent has a translucent feel about it. Like wearing a sheer white sundress on a breezy afternoon with a big straw hat. Great for jeans and a cotton t-shirt.

  44. :

I don’t detect so many notes. Pretty, clean but too powdery for my tastes. Nowadays I can’t stand sweet, heavy or powdery fragrances, but it’s my odd mood or age.
The staying power is really good, I smell it the morning after.
    Anyway a good job!

Today at one of my local department stores with an EA counter I tested and sprayed this perfume all over my arms and chest.
I REALLY like this perfume. It smells fresh, clean, sweet, and tea like. Low sillage but decent longevity.
The tall rectangular white bottle is a good design choice.
White Tea by EA is the perfect summer scent for those who like modern light tea floral scents. You won’t be disappointed.

  46. :

White it is similar to Bvlgari, this is more feminine. The Bvlgari one has a rather sharp maculine drydown. Here I get more iris which makes the scent more balanced.

  47. :

It`s one of the most beautiful clean fragrances what I have smelled for a long time. For me it`s very unique and I don`t own nothing like this. It`s very cheap 100ml bottle cost almost nothing, but fragrance itself is anything but cheap. It`s fresh, but same time soft and very comforting, also little bit soapy and flowery. It`s dries down very soft and femine. Absolutely beautiful! Longevity is great almost 10 hours and I still smell it on my wrist. Good work Elizabeth Arden!

  48. :

    3 out of 5

Very pretty, relaxing fragrance. I can smell clary sage, iris, white tea, fern. It is aromatic and clean, so comforting and mellow that it could be used as a treatment fragrance in high end spas. It also reminds me of Bvlgari but I prefer White Tea because of the scent and it lasts longer on my skin. Also, it is less expensive. I think it is going to be a very popular fragrance, quite a crowd pleaser. I enjoy it!

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I like it quite well and it totally reminds me of Bvlgari’s au The Blanc. They both have a slight masculine undertone in my opinion, in a way, this could be unisex.
But I like that fresh tea scent. I sense tea and iris the most.
It would be better on summer, but I think it could be worn easily on winter too.
    Quite nice!

  50. :

    5 out of 5

Definitely a summery scent to my nose, ambrette and citrus notes dominate…very pleasant, yet I expected different, maybe more floral also..I detect the Iris too, it has a sweet warm vibe…I don’t find it too similar to Bvlgari white…This is more feminine, less powdery…I like it, it is well done…this isn’t a statement scent, or a sophisticated one…this is more a laid back summery scent…one to enjoy to stay home relaxing, or to go to a Sunday brunch, very versatile too..you have to like citrus scents though, this has more than I expected!

This was a blind buy based on the fact that I’ve had an on and off relationship with Green tea for years. I was so relieved when I got it and sprayed it on. It’s simple and feminine whilst not in the least bit boring or too sweet (I’m not one for overly sweet or floral scents). It takes me to a little white wooden beach house ; curtains blowing in the sea breeze, flowers in a vase on the sill, seashell necklaces, candlelight, a lover on the way over and absolutely nowhere else that I need to be. If it were a song it would be ‘Boys of summer’! I adore it. So very calming. I even wear it to bed.I think this may be my new signature.

I just got this today, I ordered the 50ml set with the 100ml body cream that’s $37 on HSN, and I just love this! I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I do, because I’m not familiar with all these notes, even with having over 700 perfumes. This perfume is definitely great for relaxing, just like some teas are. I do think the smell out of the bottle, and on skin are a little different. This perfume is inoffensive would be great at any work place, great for calming relaxing moments, White Tea is for day, and night, and can be easily a signature perfume. I feel like this perfume is just perfect for every day relaxing, and calm. If you wear this perfume during busy hectic, or stressful days, I think this perfume will get you by. I think this perfume could also be unisex. I also just bought the deodorant. I can smell the white fern the most backed by the marine notes, and the white tea is there, the other notes are there, but not as noticeable as those three notes are. I will do a full review of this perfume on Youtube sometime within the next week.
