It is so strong that it gives me a cough and makes my nose water.

This smells like Hot Couture on the dry down. A much cheaper alternative. Has a smoky sweet flowery scent that is nice and musky.

EDT version. I would have just called this Smokey Floral Musk…I just don’t get a classic rose vibe from this. That being said,I still like the scent. Nothing remarkable, but it smells nice for everyday type scent.
Sillage and projection is low too. A nice scent to spray on before bedtime too.

I’ve tried the body spray, perfume oil and edt. The oil is definitely the best. It’s sweet but not cloying, slightly peppery and tobacco flower and the rose is less fresh more sexy if that makes sense. I don’t think it’s similar to La Petite Robe Noir or Amor Amor at all but that’s just me.
All in all its a great summer scent with moderate to subtle sillage not overwhelming. I enjoy it but I really must stress with most of these Body Shop scents the perfume oil is the best one to buy

This review is for the oil.

On my skin, this is a soft dark berries jam with something smoky which is not tobacco. Instead, it oscillates between burnt sugar / bitter caramel and wood smoke. Occasionally I am able to smell the incense and, very very hidden, flowers, maybe rose. And musk, not in the front as in White Musk, but supporting the other notes.
The oil has very little projection / sillage, which for me is a good thing. This smoky berry jam is, when mixed with my skin heat, intimate and feminine without being childish, and I prefer not to have a cloud of that scent around me, instead only radiating to those who I allow close to my skin, family and friends.
I am very happy to have found a berry jam perfume which is not excessively sweet or sticky. This one reminds me a bit of the Petit Robe Noire , but smokier and maybe using blueberries instead of cherry.
I bought this oil with 50% discount and am quite happy as it fills quite nicely my wish for a sexy but mature berry scent. 🙂

Tonight I tried the Eau de Toilette. I get no smokiness or roses, but rather, a sugary, berry, vanilla floral.
Almost instantly, I was reminded of Cacharel Amor Amor.
I was curious if anyone else had noticed the similarity, and sure enough, member CoffeeCup nailed it back in November 2013.
White Musk Smoky Rose brought to mind Smurfette Blue Magic as well, which also lists berry, citrus and pink pepper as notes.
To me, this is a sticky sweet, fruity, but also buttery fragrance, which evokes memories of red berry jam “thumbprint” cookies (strawberry, raspberry, or cherry – take your pick), perhaps with some white chocolate morsels thrown in for good measure.

This is one of my first fragrances ever, so call me biased, but I feel like just about anyone would find this pleasant. It’s soft and elegant. On first application, it’s sweet roses, and incense. On dry down, the musk really shines through. It’s subtle and lovely and complements the rose well. On me this lasts anytime between 6-7 hours, and usually still lingers until at least another hour. Sillage is admittedly not fantastic. At its best, the next person on the dinner table would barely be able to smell something.

This is for younger people, it has an intensive berry note and the rose and incense arent that strong.

This smells really good. Incense, musk, rose, sweet mixed berry jam, smoky. I think its best used for the cold months. I have noticed a few times when I wore it I felt like I was getting too much of the smoky aroma. So I decided if I didn’t want to feel like I was sitting next to a fireplace in front of a rose bouquet being served warm berry pie to just wear this puppy in the winter. I have received compliments, but its just not something I could wear everyday. Its a smell better suited to an expensive scented candle. But it was inexpensive clearance Christmas set from a discount shop so for the price I’m happy to have it among my stash. I usually am very fond of whatever the body shop produces scent wise.

Starts off like a rose incense stick – which I liked.
Then came a fruity blackcurrant and bergamot – which I liked too.
Softens into a fruity jammy rose on my skin – I’ve noticed that the incense smokiness lasts longer on fabric.
The EDP lasts the day on me – which is unusual for a Body Shop perfume these days – not a big sillage- but I don’t care about that.
I’ve also tried the oil but did not like the smell of whatever carrier oil used.

This review is for the EdP.
“Smoky” is a somewhat deceptive descriptor. Though there lurks a dark tobacco note in the drydown, it’s not what I’d call “smoky.” A more accurate name might be “Pipe Tobacco Berry Rose Jam” (doesn’t really have the same ring to it, I obviously have no future in a fragrance-naming career). Very jammy and sweet, but, again, with that lurking tobacco musky darkness to give it depth. I’m not a huge fan of sweetness in fragrances, but this one, I can appreciate. Sits close and cozy to the skin. This is a blush pink, over-sized cashmere sweater, worn with a lot of smudged eyeliner.

The opening notes are basically all cheap synthetic floral notes which I think is typical how TBS rose fragrance smell like. After a few minutes this terrible burning smoky smell kicks in, I wash it off my skin right away. But i still can smell it on my skin a few hours later, so I guess the staying power is not so bad. Well, I guess someone who enjoys the smell of chimney and synthetic floral would love this fragrance. I just keep it as room spray for the holiday season, but i would never use it on myself unless I want to smell like a burning log.

I get a sweet rose. The smoke is almost imperceptible. I have to glue my nose to my hand to smell it. Not a bad fragrance, but unremarkable and it will surely disappoint people looking for a smoky rose.

“White Musk Smoky Rose” was my first signature fragrance, which was about 3 years ago…
I still, to this day, remember, how in cold and dreadful (and even further in spring) days this was like wearing a cashmere jumper – soft, warm and comfortable. It is also somewhat mysterious, thanks to its smokiness and the white musk note. But it isn’t overpowering or loud, more like a whisper.
Overall: non offensive, close to skin fragrance which works best for colder months.

  16. :

A jammy rose with soft, cuddly aspects. It’s sweeter than the accords might lead you to believe but not quite gourmand. Smoky and dark for those used to mere white musk, perhaps. Not at all smoky or dark for those accustomed to traditional Orientals!
In other words, a hint of depth adds mystery with a very light hand…
That said, I’m impressed with quality of scent for the venue. If you wish for decent sillage and longevity you will need to buy BOTH the oil and the spray and bring the spray along in your bag to refresh during the day. (The oil has the best longevity but no sillage.)
To sum up, I heartily recommend Smoky Rose for those who want a pretty, sweet rose with a touch of something Oriental. This would make an outstanding gift for:
    comforting office wear,
cautious Rose/Jam lovers just edging out to Florientals,
or new/young perfume fans seeking more sophistication!
For all these purposes, Smoky Rose will do very nicely indeed.

I’m wearing the oil and it’s so nice for this chilly weather. It is a sweet/smoky berry w/just a hint of rose, on me. I’m surprised no one has equated it w/Hot Couture in vibe? I think this will be an easy fall/winter fragrance.

I really love this fragrance. Such a great little gem for very little money. Sugary sweet fruits are what I get most of, with a middle of rose and base with white musk that keeps you from getting a toothache. Really pretty and girly. I went through a bottle of this rather quickly because it’s such an easy scent to choose when you don’t want to have to think about it much; just throw it on and you’re out the door smelling very pleasant and femme.
To me, it’s almost identical to Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose but without quite as much lasting power. Great budget buy if you enjoy that one.

Strangely, I don’t smell rose in this perfume and very little smokiness. The opening is sweet dark berries (black currant/blackberry), white musk and some pink pepper to cut through all the sweetness. Eventually the berries diminish and the pepper disappears so that in the dry down you’re left with a sweet musk with a slightly smoky undertone. This one sits close to the skin, is great on its own but is also great layered under other perfumes where you want to add a bit of sweet musk.

my sexy fragrance from The Body Shop, i have the EDP 50ml, so deep rich oriental flowery musky sweet vibe, longevity also good, sillage also good, this fragrance remind me of TF Black Orchid and Clinique Black Aromatic, worth for money, must buy item, i say

Another amazing smelling Body Shop scent with no silage/longevity. I have the EDT. This smells like as it’s name suggests, a smoky rose. it reminds me of a goth club: rose oil, cigarette smoke and sweaty skin. Please body shop, do something to improve the performance of your wonderful scents!

Mild rose and some kind of sticky fruit scent. Got the oil version which is very subtle on skin. Not very strong. I like it though.

You have a cherry spicy oriental opening, very promising. It tames into a cherry-like rose, which is very pleasant and pretty. Seems linear and disappointing, as you start thinking….”where is the smoky part?”.
And right there where you already are convinced about the girlyness of the perfume, there comes a nice dose of smokiness, a deepening of the scent; some mysterious veil of a soft, but present nonetheless, church-leftover incense; has to be the olibanum.
I like this iteration of rose, it’s interesting. Plus I’m a sucker for anything balsamic. Very nice combination of notes. Longevity is up to 3 hours(?) maybe less…That might be an issue for an amount of customers, and even though for me it’s not; if I like it I will reapply, still, the intensity of the scent is not enough for me to buy it. Simply, if I don’t stick my nose on my wrists I don’t smell anything…
That’s just wrong policy Body Shop. Amp up the sillage and Smoky Rose competes, dare I say, with niche.

Usually I don’t even try rose fragrances, but this one I like. It is fall in Chile and the weather is colder. I think this could be my choice for fall. It has a very poor longevity, but it’s OK for the price. I feel something really warm, vanilla maybe? But vanilla isn’t on the list

I saw this at TJ Maxx and absently sprayed it on my wrist, put it down, forgot about it. The dry down is really nice – a rose jam kind of smell with white musk underneath. So I went back the next day, bought it, and did my usual one spray to the neck and one for each wrist. This was a mistake. For me, more than one spray really suffocates me. This is a heavy, sickly sweet rose scent to me. The sillage isn’t big with this one, but it’s just so sweet and to me the sweetness contrasts with the clean white musk, but not in a good way. I’ll stick with regular white musk from now on.

    I’m a perfume newbie.
I smell no rose, which is good for me. I HATE rosy-floral scents. What I perceive is very strong sweetness, but darkish. Burnt caramel and vanilla.

Lollipopsneeze described it to a T. Sits close to the skin with very little longevity, which is a shame because it smells so warm and sweet. The smokiness is very apparent. This reminds me of going into a cigar club in a good way. I would consider this unisex actually even though it’s sweet.

I have the perfume oil. Is it just me? Or not? All of the musk series from TBS are the same plastic note! Red musk, Smoky Rose, white Musk, black musk, all of them are sweet with a sweaty note in it. Plastic smell with some rotten fruit. In the beginning it smells good, but when the dry down part in the end comes in, it all smells the same unpleasant plastic sweaty sweet smell. No! big no for me.

My favourite scent from The Body Shop & also one of my all time favourite. Lasting power is ~2-3 hours but given how affordable this fragrance is, it really isn’t a problem. Definitely stocking up on this.

It starts a bit rough and grows nicely. Always get compliment whenever I wear this, day or night. It works well on warm weather without getting me nauseated or dizzy. Moderate longetivity and sillage.

In the year of 2015 I found myself very infatuated with the white musk line at the bodyshop. I decided to treat myself to smoky rose EDP at the end of the year.
This smells like a “tough” version of a very sweet girly perfume. I can see how it’s polarizing, maybe not sweet enough for the fruity/floral crowd, and not edgy enough for those who prefer the more exotic.
However for me, it’s perfect. I love the crisp musk, sweet jammy roses with hint of smoky spice. When I wear it I feel very well put together, the way a new stylish outfit makes you feel.
As others have pointed out the quality isn’t stellar, just ok. But, on the other hand it’s cheap.

  35. :

This is a little smoky in the beginning, a bit musky. I do not find it rosy in any way.
The drydown is very clean and well-behaved.
This, to me,is along the lines of Valentina by Valentino, very ordinary but very pleasant and inoffensive.
I find it to last quite well on my skin. Very modest sillage.
I love to wear this one. To me it is comforting and warm.

A lot of people said that this perfume symbolizes me very well. i fell in love with this perfume since one year ago.
i have the 50ml EDP right now, when i apply it on my skin, well the silage is not very strong but it is very (musky scented) long-lasting than i apply it on my clothes.
anyway, is this perfume really have very weak silage or is it because “different country, different quality” issue?

  37. :

    3 out of 5

this isn’t really all that smoky but it is kind of musky. it’s rose, cassis and pink pepper with musk primarily. it has that jammy rose that i’ve seen to smell a lot of lately. it’s reminiscent of lush’s rose jam but less lemony and more spicy. it’s pretty and while it could be worn in all seasons, seems like a good scent for the upcoming fall season especially.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Interesting how many different things people have said about this one. To me, the rose is surprisingly un-prominent in the mix. I sometimes find rose-based perfumes a bit “sharp” and janglingly intrusive but to me the most obvious note in this one is something spicy, I would have said possibly cloves but they’re not listed in the official description. There’s autumn fruit in the mix too and a sort of musky depth that I find quite appealing. It doesn’t change much over several hours. I think I will be buying some of this fairly soon as it might just finally be the spicy perfume that actually suits me.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

This is obviously a more obvious oriental, the more “sexy” version of “Libertine White Musk”.
I found the opening kind of plummy tart and much darker overall. Not as powdery. There is indeed a smoky, musky rose. There is almost a dry woodiness, like spiced and roasted black pu Er or chicory tea leaves, with a milky creaminess. Like a latte. The ambery resinous note is deep and it is made very sweet. It smells like cotton candy and caramel.
this is very similar to Givenchy hot couture or perhaps Le Petite robe noire but not as complex. if you are on a budget you might want to get this if you like the above but not the retail price tag

It was a blind buy. Love the name White musk smokey rose. Nah.. i want to smell smokey rose.. and it feel like smoke i can smell hint of tobacco. Musk and rose.
Perfect for evening and in the nightclub. So seductive.
Unfortunately its just 2-3 hours on my skin

A couple years ago, when White Musk Smoky Rose first came out, the name and notes intrigued me. So I went online and bought a 30 ML bottle of EDP blind, and was not disappointed. I love this scent, and I love how much it evolves on my skin. There is definitely a smokiness to it. And for the price, who would’ve thought it would last for 8 hours plus! Great sillage as well.
Since I’m Canadian, we have the Smoky Rose perfume oil in TBS stores here. Yay! So last week I went and bought a 20 ML perfume oil. Guess what? It’s even better. It sits a bit closer to the skin. It’s warmer and smoother. There’s something really sensual and romantic about dabbing an oil in all the right places. This oil has good longevity too, not all of the TBS oils do.
Seriously, if the perfume oil is available in your country, get out there and buy it!
Thanks Body Shop for cranking out quality scents for a cheap price!

This was a blind buy I felt would be safe. I love rose, I love dark and smokey scents and I LOVE musk (The Body Shop’s White Musk is one of my all time favorite musks). Well I’d have to say this is none of those things. It’s surprisingly sweet- like candy sweet. In fact, the first thing I thought of on first spray was ” Chewy sweet tarts?”. If I sniff real hard and think about what Im SUPPOSED to be smelling, I can find a lingering hint of incense and a light touch of musk, but it is cowering in the background of an overly sweet candy like B.O. This is not to say I dislike it- It’s alright. Far too sweet in my opinion and for someone who had their heart set on a sexy dark smokey rose perfume and got an Easter basket dusted in sweet N low. It stays pretty linear on me, and sticks around for a good 6-8 hours. This could have been so much better.

  43. :

Im using it right now, and i love it!
    I have the EDP.
It smells a bit sharp at first, a little too spicy for my taste, but after about 1 hour, it smells delicious! really sweet and delicate..
but the base notes surprise me the most, the sweetness faded, i smell like a bouquet of roses with a little hint of musk, makes me feel feminime and sexy..
this perfume blends well with my body chemistry.. 🙂

  44. :

White Musk Smoky Rose [EDT] is quite faithful to its name. It is a juicy black currant and peppery rose duo with a very subtle smoky incense nuance, enveloped by a white musk glow, which gives structure and rounds its character.
Fruity roses are more than common these days and this one fits in that group. But what makes it stand out is not only its smoky edge, but also its price. It is incredibly cheap for what you get. Of course, you cannot expect great longevity with this price. But it is fairly decent and its sillage not disappointing.
The Body Shop has some great perfumes for its price and some are much better than more expensive releases by well-known luxury brands (and White Musk Smoky Rose is one of TBS’s bests). They are simple, nice and casual, but extremely well done and pleasing. And with that price, how can you say no?

  45. :

    4 out of 5

I managed to get the EDP at a big discount from their site as it was being discontinued, now I’m sad I didn’t buy more and stock up.
It’s a simple “less is more” perfume. They have taken a few heavy notes and blended them to make something special.
It’s a real gem and different to the carbon copy vanilla and florals the market is saturated with and it’s such a pity they didn’t add it, along with the poppy to the permanent line.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

As it is most often the case with Body Shop’s scents, this one is of high quality, unintrusive and more suitable for the young than the old. The relatively low price underlines this impression. This one is sweet and maidenly, neither really smokey nor rosey but somehow aptly titled nevertheless.

Update: after about a week, this went from my “have” shelf to my “had” shelf. It turned out to just be way too sweet and I returned it. I still like the fragrance, but yeah. Not on me. Better luck next time, I guess.
I think this is the one “very sweet” fragrance I’ve smelled in a long time that didn’t make me either recoil or run outside for fresh air. Normally I feel a bit headache-y or nauseous after smelling something so sweet, but somehow I really like this fragrance.
Certainly not an every day smell for me, but it’s nice enough for chilly days and you can’t beat the price. I picked this up on sale for about $10 last week!
I do find this quite warm and comforting, which I think is why I’ve been wearing it on particularly cold days. I certainly smell the rose and musk, and spice as well. Longevity is decent, I get a few hours out of it on my skin and 5-6 hours on clothes.
Overall it’s a pretty good fragrance for a cold winter day, and for the price you won’t find anything better. Win!

It’s not just my favourite perfume from the Body Shop but it’s one of my favourite perfumes ever! To me (and on me) it literally smells like a smoky rose and it’s a warm and happy scent. The longevity is impressive (8 hours +) and so is the projection. It’s sweet, I guess very sweet so don’t go for it if you don’t like sweet perfumes.
    I’ll definitely buy another bottle!

  49. :

    4 out of 5

I went to The Body Shop because I was curious about Red Musk. It turned out to be a disappointment: the spray versions smelled like Cola and I seem to be completely anosmic to the oil (I smelled absolutely nothing!). I made a few purchases anyway because everything was on discount and that’s how I ended up with Smoky Rose. I chose the EdT version because it felt a bit more “alive” than the EdP.
I like the idea of this fragrance, but unfortunately the execution falls short. I get some rosy sweetness on the opening, but it disappears quickly. On me the drydown is all about salty smoke. I love smoke so normally I wouldn’t mind, but this is not the most pleasant smoke I’ve encountered. After the top/middle notes burn off at supersonic speed, I’m left with a weird smoked salmon accord (FireDragon76 mentioned it too). Not exactly the kind of “gourmand” I’m looking for in a fragrance… I wish the rose was a bit more prominent!
The longevity and sillage are quite pathetic even for an EdT (well, I probably shouldn’t be expecting miracles for the price). Anyway, it just doesn’t work for me, gonna get rid of it ASAP. 🙁
p.s. I enjoy the Smoky Rose Body Wash, though. It leaves a gorgeous trail of scent without the smoked salmon nuance.

On me this smells like sickly sweet amber. There is the faintest hint of rose, a bit of pipe smoke at the start then it wears down to amber on me, and the super sweet kind. I don’t smell any white musk in here either.

  51. :

    Ouf! Une horreur.
This should never have been called “White Musk” at the start, it’s too different from the original White Musk, which I liked long. Maybe I’m just not a smoker in the field of perfume either!!

  52. :

    5 out of 5

It is sweeter than I imagined.Opens with blackcurrant and pink pepper added the girl-next-door kind of sweetness. After a few minutes drying down, represented by the black rose and tobacco blossom, while the sweetness is inherited by the immortelle from the blackcurrant. With musk and Olibanum, the base note give this fragrance a thicker and warmer side. I didn’t notice the orange blossom or bergamot to be honest, I assume they are sublimed by other stronger notes.

  53. :

    5 out of 5

    Okay, so it’s not sophisticated.
But it’s comforting, tasty and cheap to boot. I keep coming back to it when I visit The Body Shop for a stock up and giving the tester a spritz – I bought the lotion today and may well crack and buy the edp at some point.
A safe buy if you’re after a gift for someone. I can’t imagine not liking it.

  54. :

I purchased the EDT version because it’s in discount actually. I never purchased any TBS fragrances before because their fruity fragrances only last on me like in minutes only, but my friend recommend me to try the white musk line because she said it last for a long time on her.
I kinda like it actually, even though I’m not a fan of sweet scents before. I prefer something fresh and floral such as Burberry London, Light Blue, and Gucci Rush. However, this scent intrigued me because it reminds me of a fragrance that I cannot remember and ended purchase it.
Some people said they can smell the smokiness, but for me this is straight up very sweet floral scent even this one smells so much sweeter than the White Musk Libertine that has whipped cream notes on it. Surprisingly, the sweet scent is not overwhelming or make me nauseous and it stays on my skin for a pretty long time for an EDT.
This actually a pretty good every day and easy to wear fragrances for a young woman. However, I prefer the smell of TBS Red Musk more because it’s more unique and different.

My mom has a bottle of WM Smoky Rose EdT. The first time she wore it, I thought she had Hot Couture EdP on (which she also owns), the sillage emitted are quite similar (the same sweet/tangy/peppery/musky scent cloud). Upon closer sniffing I realize they are different, WM Smoky Rose is a musky, smoky, sweet berried-rose, not as dry and woody as Hot Couture, Hot Couture being more sophisticated and elegant, and WM Smoky Rose more casual and candied (+ rosier), also Smoky Rose has a slight eastern vibe to it because of the frankincense + rose combo. Not really my thing. But not bad, quite nice. If you like Hot Couture edp, you will like Smoky Rose, it’s her younger, more casual bohemian sister. Longevity is moderate on me (~ 5 hours, good for an edt), sillage is very noticeable for the first hour then fades gradually to a skin scent.
I personally prefer White Musk Libertine.

  56. :

    3 out of 5

I really, really love this little scent. Let me apologize in advance for this comparison, but I bought Smoky Rose when I had been on the hunt for something similar (and much much cheaper) than Amouage Sunshine, before I broke down and bought a bottle.
Smoky Rose and Sunshine do share a few of the same notes, and while this is *nowhere* near Amouage territory (quality and scent wise), it sort of gives off a similar, sweet black currant, tobacco-y vibe. However, the key role player in Smoky Rose is the Rose and, while it’s not boring, it’s ultimately a typical, modern, easy to wear, sweet jammy rose scent. While the feel is dense, the scent is very light. Almost wine-like.
It’s easy for everyday wear and completely inoffensive.
Longevity is 4-6 hours, and it sits close on skin.
I also, respectfully, have to disagree with the smoked salmon comparisons, just as I’m sure many will disagree with me. But that nearly made me not purchase it.
Review for EDP. The EDT was way boring and lasted about a minute.

I really wanted to like this. It was affordable, pretty bottle, and I like the fragrance in the bottle but it’s like I can detect a smoked salmon scent on my skin and as much as I love to eat smoked salmon, I don’t want to smell like it. What could make it smell like smoked salmon on me?! So sadly, I will never own this fragrance. I hope it works with others skin chemistry, because it’s not like I dislike the fragrance itself.

I adore this perfume. my sister got it for me for my birthday upon my request. its not very long lasting but smells so amazing I have bought the body mist and lotion to layer the fragrance. to describe it I would say, sweet, warm smoky flowery heaven

Almost an exact dupe to the sadly discontinued Belle d’Opium in the drydown, to my nose anyway. I got the Edt in a set with the shower gel and the body lotion and I enjoy it a lot.

This feels as if it should be in the floral woody musk category, because of it’s Pleasantness.
The citrus and musk are made quite interesting – and a little difficult – with a slight burnt edge of something like extremely mild incense, but which I assume must be olibanum and tobacco blossom. The immortelle and orange blossom add a sweetness that unfortunately goes a little sour on me, or perhaps this is because of the rose and musk, as both are a bit tricky on my skin. Black currant remains as always a unifying element that comforts and caresses the wearer.
If your skin loves this, you are the charmed and blessed who will never have to wonder what scent will suit any occasion. Appropriate and so very comforting, I think it would be especially nice in autumn as the leaves fall. As Annica points out, if you enjoy this as you would a soft spiced candle just going out, it is enchanting. And yes, it is a personal scent, and it must grow on you.
Low sillage and fair longevity. The tart edge of rose could easily be unisex if layered with more earth tones.

This is a very respectable fragrance for it’s price range. The “dark purple smoke effect” is a tart rose and blackburrant mixed with tobacco, quite interesting. The scent is linear, it gets warmer and a bit sweeter otherwise no big surprises after the initial burst and that’s expected.
Kuddos for smelling smart, and not leaning towards the easy sugary and fruity slope. Well done:)

Tried this on the paper and bought as an impulse buy. Not sure why as I don’t usually like rose but it smelt nice on paper. When I sprayed it on however this nasty spicy chemical smell took over. Not sure if it’s just crap or if that is supposed to be the ‘smokey’ part.

On my skin, this is eau d’ashtray, at least for the first fifteen minutes or so. Then, it morphs into a much more pleasant, warm rose scent with a bit of smoke (I wish I could say tobacco, but that’s not the case). It’s not sweet, and I don’t really like it.

Smoked candied rose petals. This is my favorite flanker of White Musk. Not screechingly “laundry sheet” clean like the original, nor is it headache inducing like the Libertine. TBS fragrances are cheap thrills for me, and White Musk Smoky Rose smells classy, considering it’s a cheap thrill.

I had the EDP, liked it pretty much, but didn’t become my favourite. As “Smokey” is in its name, I would expect something deeper and more complicated scent, however this one is quite simple on me, I could smell nice and sweet rose, which was really great, but the “smokey” effect never came.

Is there a fragrance for happy vampires on summer holiday? White musk smoky rose is a nighttime scent, full of starlight. The EDT starts with a blast of raspberry and then tobacco, rose and immortelle make an appearance. Immortelle is usually very strong on my skin, but in this composition it gives an earthy dryness, the smell of a mediterranean island at night. This perfume is strange indeed and far from boring. I like the smell very much, one could say that it’s a cousin of Tresor midnight rose because of the top notes and the theme. The only con I can find is that it’s very light. Thankfully I bought the travel size of 10 ml. Maybe I should try the EDP?

I came across this perfume recently and decided to test it because the colour was so pretty and the bottle was kind of cute!
The first thing that struck me about White Musk Smoky Rose when I tested it on my skin was that it reminded me of Tresor Midnight Rose, which I love. It smells more of berries though, and to my nose the rose is quite faint, and there definitely is a dustiness to this perfume, even a slight murky (slightly skanky!) smell at first but this disappears after awhile, leaving a very nice, alluring berry’ish scent. It’s not as good
