Description

In September 2009, Tom Ford presented collection White Musk Collection that contains four new fragrances: Urban Musk, White Suede, Musk Pure and Jasmin Musk. The collection is based upon the essence of musk, which is one of the favorite ingredients of Tom Ford. These fragrances are very feminine, a little bit lighter by color and by composition comparing to the previous editions.

White Suede is blended out of rose, saffron, thyme, mate tea, olibanum, lily-of-the-valley, amber, suede and sandalwood.

The first three fragrances were created in the cooperation with Givaudan perfumers, while the White Suede was composed with Firmenich. The fragrances are available in very modern and elegant bottles of 50 ml.

I’m just newly getting into leather scents. I had a huge run with gourmands and florals before this so leathers are a whole new world. Valentina (leather, rose, iris) was my gateway drug, and VC&A’s Reve de Cashmere (leather, heliotrope, vanilla) became my addiction so I finally gave White Suede a try.
You know when people gush about that ‘new car smell’? Well this is the ‘new purse smell’ you never knew you had a thing for!
It’s a very smooth realistic suede layered with sweet light musky floral elements and resins. The florals are well blended but remind me of the sweet makeup scent but more herbal. Powdery makeup rose is blended with energizing mate tea, saffron and thyme instead of violet or iris. The resins (a light touch of amber and olibanum as well as sandalwood) work together to create a creamy luxurious cashmere-like glow of warmth and really round it out. It’s a soft, bright, relaxed, luxurious feeling. If your leather/suede purse is starting to smell off, THIS is the perfume you want to spray in there.
And of course, spray it on yourself. I can’t stop sniffing my hands and wrists as I type this. The sillage is at least 1 foot, but it’s a light, calm scent, not a powerhouse punch in the nose.
It wont be everyone’s jam. You have to be in that leather mood to really appreciate it. When I was in my gourmand and floral phases, I passed this up for YEEEEAAAARRRSS without even smelling it. I was just like ‘Who in the world wants to smell like suede??’ but guess what? The time comes when a well blended floral-resinous suede scent is both a cozy comfort and makes you feel energized and daring.
Don’t blind buy, but if you are going through a leather phase, this is a MUST for your to-try list. Don’t make a snap-judgment based on a nozzle-sniff or the 1st 5 minutes because it evolves on your skin and needs a few minutes to truly bloom.
Also – labeled for women but I think men would smell amazingly sexy in this. Definitely unisex for me.

    This fragrance is pure sex.
    Not a powerful sexy bomb.
    But still, pure sex.
The elegance of the scent reminds me of a wealthy, mature and indipendent woman.
Her sexiness comes from her self consciousness: she doesn’t need to show off her skin to become other people’s desire. Her clothes are very minimalistic, ton sur ton combinations, her makeup is barely there and she keeps her hair in a clean bun. Her bag is usually a taupe Kelly or a Phantom by Céline.
You can detect her scent only if very, very close: are you lucky enough?
Although the fragrance is labeled as a feminine scent, you should try the fragrance even if you’re a man: in this case the sexiness comes from the contrast between the feminine elegance of the fragrance itself and the natural odor of a male skin. The result is not a clearly sex statement achieved by masculine fragrances such as Bel Ami or any other leather-patchouli-vetiver based scent: it is subtle and definitely more intriguing. Give it a try!
PS: you’re gonna love this if you come from Narciso, both For Her or Narciso (it works even if your Arab customer doesn’t want anything smelling like Oud).

Pure heaven. White suede is a cashmere jumper worn for days , it’s the smell of your skin when warmed by a fireplace,is the sofisticated yet animalic odour in a suede factory, and the familiar smell of your mum’s closet filled with furs and boots and bags..the only thing I point out is the fact that the notes make me think nothing about White..beige or light Golden brown are the colors occurring in my mind, a butter biscuit suede jacket..Anyway this is a wood leather musky beast yet delicate..notes of aldehides and somethig soapy starts kicking after about 30 minutes but the earthy animalic base stays there mantaining depth to the composition. I smell also something similar to hay, just delicate and from a distance and that’s what really ignites my love for this sexy juice. The drydown’s all musk and something Woody vanillic still keeping that solar suede texturized note but in really soft and caressing way.Love it

On paper: This smells as feminine as suede can be, to me. Pure suede and white musk. I’m starting to think I dislike white musk, but this is still worth a try for other suede lovers.

I sampled this today & my God what a gorgeous fragrance… NO WAY IS THIS A FEMININE/FEMALE FRAG… If anything, I find it leans more masculine & the only failure here goes out to the imbecile who labeled this a female fragrance. I’m as manly as they come & I’m buying a bottle of this asap!!! Longevity is moderate and man do I wish it lasted longer. Projection is a good 4 feet for an hour or two before it begins to sit closer to the skin but it stays with you throughout the day. I can’t wait to own a full bottle.

I am also very surprised that this was not released as a unisex scent – this is as unisex as they come, and every bit as good as you all have described it. We are surely not alone in considering this unisex, somebody had this in with the testers at the TF counter in the men’s fragrance dept in Bloomingdale’s today and I am certainly glad they did.
I’ve never been a huge fan of heavy, oily leather scents – but I’ve found that I really enjoy the cooler, brighter suede note.
This is a magnificent, musky, lightly sweet suede blend.

SO GOOD… I have never thought I would love a musky leather fragrance. I’m not sure if it’s the soft powdery suede or the flowers that comes along the way to dry down but it makes me feel so calm and serene.
I came across this beauty while testing Noir de Noir and Cafe Rose for my never-ending quest to find the perfect rose. SA at Tom Ford counter told me that White Suede is one of her favorites and I should try it as well. I should mention that it’s not in the white bottle anymore. Since 2014, it’s in grey-brown flanker of Private Blends.
Longevity is around 6-8 hours on me with moderate sillage. Overall I will enjoy it till summer before it’s time for my fresh florals.

This one really freaked me out when I first tried. The top notes is very strange having gasoline or dry-cleaning material like smell. So I thought it was waste of money.
But after you wear it for 10 min it turns into very creamy and smooth musky scent. Lots of my friends gave me compliments.
Also, it’s very office friendly. Not so intruding like other flowery perfume (esp. Chanel). Just neutral and clean.
    This one become my signiture.

This is a glorious scent. There really is nothing like this that I can think of. There is a musk scent, yes, but it is not clobbering me over the head. The leather also isn’t clobbering me over the head. I appreciate that, as many leather or suede notes tend to make me feel like I am being suffocated, and I do not get that from this fragrance. I pick up a warmth, a soft subtle warmth. The thyme lends an oh so subtle spiciness. Rose, as voted, is way in the background, but imo cleverly blends in with the other notes to keep this from being too leather or musk dominant. Yes, true as some reviewers have noted, this is not a feminine fragrance. But I quite like this.
Again, nothing like anything I’ve ever smelled before and nothing like anything in my collection….Glorious. I always say I am not a Tom Ford fan (he seems so egotistical and nobody needs a $75mill mansion, imho), but there is no denying he/his team make(s) some stunning fragrances. This one included. The only downfall is this one becomes a skin scent for me in about an hour. I guess that is great if you like skin scents, but for me, I wish this had better longevity. The first Tom Ford fragrance in my experience to disappear so fast. Well, not disappear, but fade to skin scent. But this is so stunningly beautiful, I do not mind. The kind of scent that makes me forget the daily toils and troubles and transports me and my nose to fragrance Nirvana. And with all the fragrances I own and have ever smelled over many decades, that rarely happens….Yes…This one is a total l❤️ve for me.

this one scared me away two years ago or so. there is a turpentine or burned rubber/gasoline note in the opening that doesn’t make any sense to me. a note that reminds of a car workshop/ garage with rubber tires, dirty oily clothing of those hard workers, and is very unatractive for me in a perfume. i had to scrub it then. i came to try it again, after testing Cacharel Noa and getting myself Lacoste pour Femme. these three scents seem to be in the same cathegory to me, soft musky suede, skin scent, perfume that doesn’t smell like perfume, but rather like a woman, like her skin, like her leather purse, like her soft light suede jacket, like her lipstick and compact powder in her cute leather make up bag. DK Cashmere Mist is a bit fresher but still relevant option. TF White Suede smells a bit like a warm skin, like human being, very soft, clean, sensual, and i have to admit, a bit expensive as well, if such exist. i do love this type of skin scents, my favorite group, scents that are close to skin and doesn’t scream about perfume, but rather smell sensual and good. i love drydown of White Suede, after this weird turpentine note goes away. it is musky suede without flowers. i love musk and suede in perfume, and when in combination, it works magic to me. i do love flowers in my garden and my vases but not much in my perfumes, so no flowery is also a good thing for me. i was almost considering to buy a bottle,i liked it so much, but i can not justify the price so it is a no go anyway. i’ve seen many small bottles on ebay that were more reasonably priced so it is still an option. it has low sillage so i find it very suitable for office, health care jobs, and any other situations where you may consider to respect privacy of others. longevity isnt so good on me, i get 3-4 hours and then it goes away.
anyway, TF White Suede reminds me too much of Lacoste Pour Femme (which i have) and Cacharel Noa (which i had and probabyl will have again) (not alike scentwise but gives the same vibe, satisfiesthe same type of craving), so i will rather be using those two before i decide to spend so much for something with a turpentine note in the opening.

I’m surprised TF labled this feminine, as a woman I actually think this one is quite masculine. For any men out there who likes this, don’t hesitate wearing it. I can imagine it’s very nice on a guy. I don’t own this but I have tried it a few times now only because a friend recommended it. White musk, suede and very powdery and a bit soapy almost like washing powder. Not unpleasant, quite nice but not for me.

  12. :

    5 out of 5

“White S̶u̶e̶d̶e̶”…is a dainty, pleasant scent, but it only whispers as to what it could have been.
It opens with a gorgeously realistic suede note that, much to my disappointment, fades almost instantly into a bath of green, soapy lily of the valley, partnered with the vaguest rose and a barely perceptible herbal pepperiness. Less than 20 minutes later there is no suede, no amber, just creamy musk and airy florals…it smells rather like I have just washed my hand with a bar of Dove soap. It’s clean, soft and cheerful, but it’s not what I want from this line, for this price.
Had that suede note lasted, it would have been so much richer and more unisex in appeal, but with the soapy lily note dominating, I can only recommend this as a casual daytime scent for middle-class women who wear pashminas and ‘brunch’.

  13. :

    4 out of 5

Opening note is some genuinely interesting soapy white flowers; quickly transitions to probably the finest suede note I’ve ever encountered.
For me the suede note eventually completely breaks down into an unappealing rubber/tar-like aroma. I’ve never had much luck with leather scents tho.
Very soft scent, almost disappeared at times.

  14. :

    4 out of 5

This is one of the few Tom Fords I hadn’t tested on skin yet, it is pleasant from first sniff – smooth, quite sensual. The suede is subtle and doesn’t leap out as it does in, say, Cuir de Lancome (which I find very raw suedey though lovely).
White Suede does dry down quite sweet though ( a sort of vanilla cupcake style sweetness), but it has a counter balancing saltiness (maybe thyme and amber effect?)which to my nose gives this an almost beachy skin-scent mood.
I love the use of lily of the valley to perk it up. On its own LotV can be a bit bathroom soap-like but it’s nice in this perfume.
I’m not mad keen on the white musk in this, but it is after all the white musk series! It does dominate at the end, alonside the sweetness, so it ends up maybe a bit less elegant than the start.
Having said that, I’m not keen on sweeter perfumes generally, so if you don’t mind the sweet edge this is a very nice perfume.
Longevity, a noticable warm skin-scent after 6 hours. Sillahe soft to moderate, depends on how much you spray.

One of the few Tom Ford scent that’s “for women” instead of unisex… then why do I love it so much?! At least I’m not the only one…
I mean, yeah, it’s a bit feminine, but the thing is – I just don’t care! I love the smell of this one.

I wasn’t thrilled when I was initially sprayed with this at the Ford counter, but the sales rep insisted. I left the store, got in my car and started smelling the most heavenly scent radiating from me. I instantly started putting on more from the decant that she had provided me and it lasted for most of my shift at work. It smells pretty feminine in my opinion but I can’t get enough of smelling this on me. It’s one of those feel good scents that you kind of even want to put on at home sitting around, going to bed, etc just to smell it. Love this fragrance.

This is not my type of perfume,I mean I’d never even try it according it’s notes if a website didn’t gift me a free sample of it,but now that I’ve tried it I can’t stop smelling myself
If you’re looking for something loud or strange it would definitely disappoint you,but if you’re looking for something soft and heavenly gorgeous that’s it
If angel’s velvety wings had a smell,I’m sure it would smell like this,at least in my imaginations.if you have a baby child and you want a light perfume and you want he/she reminds your scent as momy’s angelic scent give white suede a try.it can also be a great sleep-time perfume.I know it may seem too expensive for that usage but I believe there’s nothing more pricey than happiness and sweet dreams.and I promise you that you’re partner can’t sleep without your silky, dreamy scent after a while.it’s also a very good office fragrance
I usually don’t like leathery scents but suede is very silky here.I can also detect musk, amber and sandalwood, very well blended to produce a warm, soft, clean and soothing scent.it’s one of those your own skin but better scents and I can’t find any sharpness here
Longevity is almost good but sillage is soft
    It’s simply lovely
    ❤❤❤❤❤

    Meh.
Wearing this right now as I review it. It’s pleasant enough. I could imagine someone wearing this to work in a grey suit, hair bun and glasses… and I’m meaning a basic, run-of-the-mill type woman with nothing particularly interesting about her. The kind of woman that is unremarkable and that you’d not look twice at in the street. Very forgettable.

Tom Ford White Suede is definitely more my speed than Ombre Leather 16, which just provided a leather-centric accord that is less daring and interesting than Tuscan Leather.
White Suede, by contrast, is a leatehr/floral blend that has quite a unisex appeal. Suede is still the main standout, with contributions from rose, saffron, tea, and amber.
I’m not sure why but it comes off powdery on my skin, a powdery leather floral bit that while walking the unisex line nicely nonetheless comes off as a little feminine, as many powdery fragrances do, and I’d say that this is more exaggerated due to leathers usually being among the most masculine-leaning fragrances.
Performance seems adequate, perhaps slightly better than Ombre Leather 16 but not as good as Tuscan Leather.
FragranceX has this at under $170 so it’s on the secondary market at a significant discount from the current retail standard of $225, but I’m not sure I’d spring for a bottle due to the powdery aspect. Still, overall, a pleasant fragrance and a nice softer, unisex alternative to Tuscan Leather.

A musky suede feminine mid-mature fragrance, which sits close to the skin and is linear…
    I applied 6 heavy sprays
0-1.5 hours 2 inch projection. This fragrance is very feminine and not very complex. It is suede with heaps of musk and slightly posh. It could be used during day or night, has a corporate work feel, and could be used at a formal occasion.
1.5 hours – 3 hours- 1 inch projection. Very close to skin. Pretty much linear, but if you smell hard enough you can get some floral and although not listed some little leather
3 hours – 24 hours. This stayed on my skin until the next day but very close to the skin and no projection
    Very forgettable
    Not for me

This is a really lovely musky leather scent with an amberish flair and a strong sandalwood undertone; the sandalwood is the predominant note in the drydown. The earlier phases are harder to describe, other than just to say I smelled really good. Lasted at least 6 hours with moderate-strong sillage.

the first 30 min smelled like department store lotion…then an expensive leather wallet appeared and stayed there.
(maybe i’m just mulling over the fact that this perfume is so dang expensive if I were to invest in a bottle…)
a great 5/5 stars non-fragrance fragrance! Its the kind of fragrance where people can’t tell if you’ve sprayed something on or not (assuming you don’t spray on too much)

One of my favorite private blends. If you’re into leather/suede but Tuscan Leather is too intense and masculine, then try White Suede. Basically new car smell meets white flowers, clean musk and a touch of smoke. The dry down is like a musky, clean shampoo but still smells expensive and comforting. I only wish the suede/leather stayed around longer.

Tom Ford scents seems to usually have some basic similarities about them, so no wonder its listed a bunch of other TF scents that “people who like also like”. However it’s not very informative when researching, especially for anybody that doesn’t have a TF counter nearby. So I got the chance to finally smell this, and it surely reminded me of something, but I could not put my finger on it…and suddenly it struck me: Noa by Cacharel! Of course. I have not smelt them side by side, and they probably would differ quite a bit, but if I where to choose a TF fragrance for a person who love Noa, I would go for this one. This is musk covered in suede rather than coffee leaving it soft soft and beautiful just like Noa….They share a composition of powdery transparency, but TF WS is more stated and collected and does not hide as silently in the air, its more pronounced than Noa.
In my opinion this might be one of the TFs that is a bit easier to wear. This composition seems to work in a (clean enough?) way that people will know its your perfume they are smelling rather than think; what is that odd odor…? To some of us that is rather reassuring. Some of the TFs flirts a bit with the cumin note, and that can sometimes make the perfume smell somewhat like a curry rather than something you would want to wear. This one stays clear of that, but still has kept the Tom Ford signature. (You might want people to be able to smell that price tag I guess…) Its not for the shy, but for the one that knows that there is no need to be loud or act out in weird ways to be heard. Its beautiful, clean, interesting and rather safe at the same time. It just calmly and politely stands out.

I bought a sample of this because I have Armani Code Couture (with a wonderful leather note) which I adore, and because of the good reviews. Well, I like the opening of White Suede, but after a couple minutes, instead of suede, on me, I get more like a light gasoline smell…. I get also a balsamic vibe, but no musk at all. No, that is not a scent I will purchase. Maybe more masculine than feminine too, in my opinion.

  29. :

First, I am reviewing the reformulated version in the dark bottle.
Smells lovely. Suede, musk, and light florals. Perfection in a bottle.
Problem: zero projection. I sprayed 10 sprays on my forearm and could not smell it unless I held it 3 inches from my nose. I was shocked by how many sprays I had to go to get even that mild of projection! I kept going and going hoping to get a moderate projection, but… nothing!
I thought this was worth a purchase for me based on the beautiful smell, but the reformulated version is so, so weak. It lasts for 6+ hours on my skin, but unless you’re giving me a hug you won’t smell it. So disappointing!
All other Tom Ford Private Blends project a minimum of 6 inches off me. This is the single one that just has no power at all. Such a disappointment.

Sweet soft mellow cuddly scent, when I tested the sample, I recognised the same scent from somewhere before, to then realise it smells like ombré rose! … Great cheapie alternative!

With the usual dramatics of Tom Ford, this one is still very unoffensive. At least, I guess it is to others. But on my skin, she behaves like a very well off acquaintance, a well bred midlife woman who smiles warmly but manages to look down her nose at me and turn away, self possessed. This is definately her day off, the sun is shining and she is wearing jeans and a straw hat. 30 minutes later she gets more relaxed but still cold somehow. The only suede I detect is in the print on the label.

A light, musky, suede, floral. I see this as more feminine than masculine.

A little too musky powdery towards the middle/end, wish the suede accord would stay prominent.

  34. :

White Suede is absolutely divine! If heaven had a scent it would be this! As someone else here mentioned, I too catch myself constantly sniffing my wrist. This can be a casual, everyday, t-shirt and jeans wearing fragrance, yet it can also be elegant, sexy and delicate enough to be worn for an intimate night with your significant other. Actually, I like wearing this when I have nothing but a night gown on.
HOWEVER, for me this sits very close to the skin, and so sillage and longevity are low 🙁
I haven’t purchased this yet but the sales person at a local department store gave me a generous sample. I soooo want to buy this! And I’m torn as to whether I should or shouldn’t. $220 for a 1.7oz bottle and I would have to spray this like crazy! Wrist, neck, behind the ear, above the head, clothes etc. not sure if its worth the price tag.
But my love for this may just prove to be too strong.

    This is a lovely scent.
Despite being explicitly unisex, I imagine this will work superbly on female skin, it works brilliantly on my male skin. It’s a powdery smelling complex blend including sandalwood, and other ingredients I can’t pick out – but the blend works excellently. It dominates the middle range with a little flowery upturn toward the top. Very difficult to describe, but it’s at the musky/vetiver end of the scale and it’s very unoffensive.
For me it immediately made me think of a female work colleague I used to sit next to who smelled so wonderful I wanted to sniff her neck. Even so, as a male, and a red-blooded one at that, I would not hesitate to wear this with my courting hat on.
But Aventus it is not. This is a mum-sy, welcoming, big hug of a fragrance that will make you smell approachable, rather than unavoidable.
Another easy winner from Tom Ford.

Holy Mother of Musk! This is The Perfect fresh floral/musk for any time but I’m especially enjoying it over this sweltering hot summer.
This is the one you’d appreciate the person sitting next to you wearing on a crowded bus or cramped flight; this is the one that is so soft you could spritz it on before retiring on a hot humid night for perfect dreaming; this is the freshness I get from the nape of a newborn’s little head; but it also subtly excudes a clean and sexy vibe. Appealing on so many levels; generation-less and any time of day friendly. Your daughter could wear this to the Prom; your spouse could wear it to shop for groceries. I would wear it with my little black dress or my white linen shirt. I guess only a musk hater wouldn’t wear or appreciate it. Best musk to come along in a very long time.

Okay, so this opening was super disappointing. It barely smelled like anything (only a hint of a suede shoe), but two minutes in and I was blown away by the craziness that was herbs. The heart was beautiful and herbal, like showering in fresh spices and herbs from a high end chefs kitchen. I don’t have anything similar and really enjoyed my experience.
Oh, and I did not really find it that feminine as suggested above.
lasted strong at 10 hours—little weak at 16 hours. 84 degrees today

Urged to try this one by somebody on this page’s forum, I duly visted a Nordstrom for a paper strip and a spray.
I was hoping for a sort of distant cousin to Tuscan Leather, which I like very much. Or perhaps some variation of a light white musk of the type found in Mugler Cologne. Anyway, that was the expectation.
What I got was a sort of hard-to-define collection of notes that didn’t make me think of either. Worse, it didn’t play well with my skin chemistry, becoming rather sour or “off.” There’s a note there that is just not flattering or pleasant on me.
What’s more, it’s very light. I’m a big guy… this is like wearing a tie made out of Kleenex. It just doesn’t work.
My wife didn’t like it, either. It reminded her of a cheap musk that somebody she used to know used to wear.
    So… no. Not for me.

Very pretty fragrance. On me, mostly musky and flowery with a serene base of suede (ie birch). Reminds me of a more grown-up, softer and introverted Noa, which I always found to be somewhat high-pitched.
Now the question: is it worth the price tag? As someone else wrote, it creates an aura of happiness and coziness. Nonetheless, I’m on the fence as to whether it is FB worthy. At half the price, I would certainly consider it, as it is an elegant yet approachable rendition of the genre (albeit not the most unique).
PS: it certainly has a distinctive burned rubber smell in the first 30 minutes. I happen to like it as an interesting counterpoint to the softness of musk and flowers.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

Floral, cozy, soft with a hint of nuts is how I’d describe this fragrance. I couldn’t detect any suede notes here, but instead can smell the roses, rounded out by the spices which somehow on me smells a bit like a sweetened vetiver. The scent stays linear on me throughout, but it is a very nice scent. I’d say this is a pretty safe and conservative fragrance to wear, or simply something to wear if you want to feel warm and cozy. Sillage and longevity are low on me, as seems to be the challenge with the Tom Ford fragrances that goes well on my skin. However, it is a good scent, a bit commercialized, but I like the comforting feel it gives off. All in all, pretty good and pleasant.

Amazing clean/jaded musk. I wear it for myself. If people around me like it, well, I don’t really care because it makes me smile which is the main reason why I spend lots of money on this expensive hobby.

    Modern smooth cowboy.
This is top notch! Give it a go ladies n’ gents – with a kiss of sun warm cotton and a kick of leather and sandlewood, it is the perfect summer fragrance. The silliage slightly floral, but that’s ok, it doesn’t interfere. Be m8ne!

This is pure class. I love this, when I wear it I’m always catching myself sniffing my wrists. It’s very retro and elegant, the rose is subdued, and a nice suede note. Very good.

As an avid sniffer of chamois leather, with a deep abiding memory of a cerise suede coat trimmed with fluffy sheepskin purchased in 1973 from Romford Market, I can say this holds no suede for me whatsoever. But. It is lovely. It is soft as one of those elegant buttery leather gloves which you found at the bottom of your mum’s handbag, which always managed to smell of the ambition and yearning to be a lady in click-clack heels when you grew up.
Gentle as a buff ostritch feather dipped in musky face powder, nuzzle-able as a newly bathed baby with rosebud lips. For me, it’s rose pink lipstick in a gold twist tube, blotted onto a handy-andie tissue, Lily of the valley in the darkest corner of the garden after a shower of rain, and a fluffy towel to dry off with. It clings delicately to everything it touches, and is still evident, a month later, on the fluffy throw I use over my duvet on ice-nights. Beautiful.

I can’t add much to what has already been said about WM…it’s just sensual, plush, floral leather that melds with my skin. (I only have a large sample of this and Tuscan Leather but would drool at the thought of having fb of them both.Tuscan Leather is a Holy Grail of mine Try layering the two…OHMY!)
I only want to add that it is remarkable similar to Ombre Rose. I’ve gone through two bottle of that in the past and have a few spritzs left but NO DOUBT, they are eerily similar, only Ombre Rose has a little less, well, “sumthin sumthin” than White Suede.. ..but may be a good substitute for a whole lot less $$

There is a reason this is the last man standing from the TF musk collection. It is freaking wonderful. I love the classic musk smell mixed with leather. The combination is so sexy. It takes an otherwise clean fragrance and adds depth and makes it interesting. Some days I get a LOT of leather from this. Seems like humid, rainy days really brings it out. This is one of those scents that I want to wear day after day once I put it on and have a hard time breaking it. I get a bit addicted to the musky scent. It is very comforting and soothing to my soul. One of my favorite musks of all time and I have tried a LOT. Been a musk fan since about the 6th grade when I first discovered musk oil. White Suede is what I consider real musk. So many supposed “musky” scents today just aren’t musky to me. This is the real deal.

    Milky, floral suede.
My mom used to have lipsticks, when I was little, that I believe, smelled like this. This definitely smells like some sort of cosmetics to me and has some retro vibe to it.
    This feels pleasant and abstract.

White Suede is a clean floral musk, paired with leather and resinous notes. The leather/suede in this does not really smell like leather to me; it smells a bit like a pile of furs, dusty and slightly animalic, kinda reminds me of my cat… The scent overall is pleasant and feminine, I think White Suede is suitable for both formal occasions and as an everyday scent. It is not very strong, quite inoffensive, but lasts fairly long. Probably not my most favourite musk, but I do enjoy it.
