Smells like a high quality Cuban cigar. It’s very dry and it has no sweetness whatsoever. It reminds me of Spicebomb, minus the sweetness. This is definitely a “mature” scent but not in the sense that it smells dated or smells like an old man. To me this just smells like a “grown” man.

Absolutely gorgeous! Smells like very soft and oldish air that has a mild tobacco scent with some spices (pepper and cardamom) that are propably softened with cashmere and saffron. How I smell this, it reminds me of antiquarian bookshops and old record stores (or may be the owners used to wear fragrance like this back then). They have this special scent that sometimes can also appear in basements with mold-issues. I don´t know why, but I have always liked that scent a lot.
This fragrance is very very similar to Versace Oud Noir, which is perhaps somewhere between this and John Varvatos Oud, and my opinion is that you can choose between this and Oud Noir by the looks of the bottle (availability and price being factors as well). Personally, I like this bottle more. The design is very beautiful and I think the color is better than that of the Versace Eau Fraiche, which I sadly don´t like.
Best season for this fragrance is definitely fall. However, for really cold winter days there are better fragrances. I can still see this being very nice fragrance to use inside as it has some warmth in it. Performance is very good for the first 6 hours. I can easily detect it when moving my arms and by the 10th hour I can still clearly smell it from closer to skin. There is very slight style resemblance to the crispiness of D&G The One as well. But all in all, everytime I smell this fragrance I say to myself ´Wow, man this is gorgeous scent.´

Another classic and a beautiful perfume from Versace. Such a pleasent mixture of spices. Maybe, it reminds me of spicebomb .. Just a bit. Here, the amber, tobacco, saffron and pepper is heavenly and I mean it. Whenever I wear it I say WOW! with a smile 🙂
Thank you Versace, you are truly rocking my world 🙂

When I think of class, I can think of luxury, of money and then maybe of decadence. No … this is not the way. I’ll start over.
If class happens with seduction and elegance, I can also think of happiness and control. Yes … I like this option more.
So that makes me think of dances, slow dances of an embraced couple, in a seductive environment, with intoxicating aromas, in sumptuous dance halls (music by Sinatra or Aznavour please), undeniably in a great class environment.
And I think whether or not I will fit well in that picture. Will I have class? What will cause the seductive environment? Is it the music? Our sure dancing and compass movements? My perfume? What will be the aroma around us? … Yes it makes sense that the fragrance exerts a strong influence on the perception of class and in the seduction environment. In fact I have always heard that a good perfume and class or class and a good perfume are inseparable.
Then what will my perfume be? Certainly it will be a rather masculine, somewhat citrusy and floral, with a semi sweet blend of spices, giving space to cardamom and aromatic resins, a bit woody, and evolving to a strong “noir” final base of dark amber and tobacco. With or without oud? I prefer to choose it later … sometimes with oud and other times without oud.
I think this perfume already exists and that I even received compliments while wearing it. I can only think of Versace Man.
It’s a shame that this fragrance has been discontinued, but that makes it even more special to me. I want it to remain unique, and I say “unique” because I can not think of another designer fragrance that smells similar to this. I mean, it’s dark and rich, and it has a strong scent of moist tobacco leaves.
I suppose it might be me wearing this perfume, confident and well-dressed, in a Mediterranean ballroom or club in Portofino, or Puerto Bañus, or Capri, or Estoril. Or perhaps at night on a ship going up the Nile and always with the beautiful woman I love beside me. Certainly class, maturity, and conviction, fit completely into this image. By the way, and if I chose the environment in a cruise boat up the Nile, I would add a touch of oud to the perfume, and I would be wearing Versace Oud Noir, a true flanker of the Versace Man.

Returning from Italy, a friend bought me this fragrance as a gift. Instantly it became my favourite & signature. But then it was extremely difficult to find, even when I travelled to some European countries (excluding Italy) a couple times. I thought it has been discontinued — since then, I got some substitution from other amber & tobacco-based fragrances.

I think the house could have kept this one, even if it has a very similar vibe to oud noir. the thing is, oud noir is winter only thing, night-time wearing is largely prefered and gym with it is a suicide.
this one however, despite clearly being on the heavier side of frags, is far more versatile. i remember i actually been in majorca the whole summer when i received this with the post. i thought it might be a bad idea, but what the heck, sprayed it on right after opening the box (as just spraying in the air, left me wanting more), it must have been well over 35 degree on that day, yet it never got cloying. in fact i could easily roll on with my day, and rate this one very highly ever since. even if it clearly has some oriental, mystical vibe to it, it still does not lack some fresh, or should i say something dynamic to it. i would say it is the scent of a dynamically moving and thinking man, not somebody who sits still a lot, but for sure somebody who wears a shirt, or at the very least a well cut, fine fabric polo shirt at all times. thats probably the best way to put it, it is a stylish business man on the move scent.
since neither this, nor oud noir has much to do with oud, i would just simply marketing this one as versace man, and oud noir as versace man intense. that would make perfect sense. also, i can honestly say that the complexity and the niveau of this juice definetely deserves to be simply called “VERSACE MAN” nothing to add, nothing to take, it is worthy of the name.
And since I just had a look and the Versace department of my collection is more or less full, I will just rate them all, if I may:)
    1. Versace Man (this one just conclude and tops everything about the house’s frag evolution)
    2. Versace Man Eau Fraiche (it is a masterful take on fresh and bitter, great compliment magnet for the summer)
    3. Versace Blue Jeans (pound for pound, the best money you can spend on a frag, in my book anyway. easily available under 20 EUR and almost never will you not get a compliment wearing it…tom ford man is also largely “inspired” by this fantastic, seductive and -considering the date- very innovative juice)
    4. Versace Eros (its an immensely strong player in the clubbing game, of course outside a club it could smell a bit too much or even silly, still if you rate it for what it is, it has to get some credit)
    5. Versace L’ Homme (sadly time has not been kind to this one, and it falls too much into the “oldschool” basket nowadays to rock it loud and proud, still it is a brillant fougere, and definetely how you want to smell leaving a traditional barbershop clean shaven)
    6. Versace Pour Homme (boring but great is how I would put it, this one just gets the job done but lacks any WOW factor)
    7. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir (a nice intense take on Versace Man, with significantly less versatility)
    8. Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue (a seriously over-rated parfume with a pretty bad performance, any Blue de Chanel and any Aqua di Gio makes this one just pretty pointless really)
    9. Versace Versus (it was great when it came out, however, in my humble opinion it aged just very, very bad. bought it for nostalgie not too long ago, and ended up splashing it on my car trunk’s upholstery, it is just not really for this millennium)
    10. Versace Dreamer (this one is just weird, from start to finish, just a weird experience, hard to imagine getting compliments with this, much more likely to get weird looks)

I may be going against the grain by saying this, but VM is not a tobacco fragrance and the note breakdown is very misleading.
IMO, this is a lighter version of Versace Oud Noir despite sharing “zero” notes between the two….how do you explain that? Owning both would be redundant.

Versace Man has not been discontinued. I just bought 2 bottles at Burlington for $34.99 each. It does not project as my old bottle from 2008, but the scent is the same. Perfect masculine green leaf tobacco with spices and flowers. Very masculine and sensual. Versace has never failed on providing unique scents for a designer realm.

  9. :

    4 out of 5

Seriously its a crying shame that this fragrance has been discontinued. It’s a very unique frag, spicy and sweet at the first spray and then tobacco and amber mixed with saffron on the dry down. It gives off this lovely grape / black currant soda vibe! Longevity is impressive at 6 hours and lingers longer on your clothes. Projection is moderate but whenever i apply it, i cannot stop myself from smelling my wrist again and again, it is an addictive scent. Lucky to get this from my local supplier, its hard to find nowadays.
Its great for evening wear IMO, but i still use it in my office from time to time 🙂
Top notch stuff, my fav frag from Versace!
Versace Oud noir is similar in terms of the scent, but cannot replace this one by any means.

I have no idea how people think oud (Versace Oud Noir) smells like this, which is mostly tobacco with no wood. They are not identical or even close. It’s really too bad this was discontinued, it is a real gem and one of Versace’s finest.

  11. :

    5 out of 5

I’ve waited probably 2 years to try this.
It has similarities to Oud Noir, but it isn’t a substitute as there’s no oud in the note profile, or noticeable on wearing.
I bought this because it’s becoming scarce.
Very pleasant, fruity, and tobacco. By fruity, I mean black currant. It’s a “scratchy” wood and crude to my nose.
It’s long lasting, but smells/feels “weak”
My “would I buy it again?” is a “no!”
Pleasant, wearable, unremarkable. Versace discontinued this with good reason IMO.
Give me any male fragrance from Versace over this one!
I have come back to add this (and I’ve never said this before in any of my well over 50/60 reviews):
I actually feel disappointed in the reviews that hype this fragrance up, as I could have spent my money on something else that I wanted. I’ve made lots of mistakes on what I’ve read with blind buys, after all, this is subjective and we make a judgment on reviews, and take a gamble on what we read, but this is the first time that I’ve felt misinformed on Fragrantica.
Oh well, I’ve made 5 great purchases since, 3 of them blind buys!

  12. :

One of the greatest tobacco notes I have sniffed, its niche quality. The saffron note is nice too, I wished I had found this sooner, it is such a great fragrance, the more I wear it the more I fall in love with it. It comes off very regal and more for an older or matured man, the age range is probably 35 and up. final verdict 9 out of a 10!!
    happy smelling!

  13. :

    5 out of 5

This is one of my regret buys.
Dont get me wrong, the scent is amazing and absolutely niche quality juice but I already have Versace oud noir and to my nose they smell 90% identical. It was definitely a redundant purchase.
For the fragrance per se, it is Great and one of a kind.

  14. :

    5 out of 5

This is a rich tobacco-wood blend, with substantial spicy-sweetness after the opening, but still not enough to deny the inevitable – this is a very mature, refined scent that is, more perhaps than any other scent in my selection, a distinctly winter-time fragrance.
I’ve tried it in warmer weather, and even in the fall it strikes me as too smoky, too heady, but in the crisp dry air of winter this becomes exceptional. The effect is similar to Lalique Pour Homme (the lion), but to the Nth degree – I can still pull off LPH during the transitional seasons, but I don’t dare with this one.
This is a dark, velvety indulgence that couldn’t be more perfectly accompanied than by a roaring fire, mulled wine and your loved ones curled up with you.
My only disappointment is with the bottle – and not even the design, which I really like, but the plastic cap is a bummer – a hefty glass cap would have been very nice, perhaps with a bronzed foot to match the top rim of the bottle, concealing the magnetic lining that should click it into place – this scent deserves such a regal setting.
As an aside, this has a strong Cashmeran note, which I am finding that I truly seem to enjoy in many scents I’ve recently taken a liking to – Bvlgari Man, EZ Peruvian Ambrette, Ferrari Amber Essence, the Encre Nioires. I really like the smooth earthy tones it brings.

A great tobacco fragrance in the dry down, the opening is very dusty & spicy, I get a lot of saffron and angelica, but it settles down to a dry tobacco with some amber.
It’s classy, a would suit any man over 25. Best for the evening and winter / fall. I have a recent formulation bottle, and performance isn’t too bad. It doesn’t project like crazy, but will last on my skin 8h+. Girlfriend likes it so that’s one I’d recommend.

Smooth, Woodsy, Tobacco, plus a little sweetness in the dry down. I apply 4 sprays dead center on my chest after a shower and it emits a nice subtle aroma all day without being overpowering.

With so many fragrances, you can lose some in the shuffle. This happens to be one of those fragrances that I do not find myself reaching for all that often. However, I’ve treated myself to it tonight. It is such a smooth fragrance. It’s tobacco blends with the spice of saffron and creates an indelible mixture. It is not the best performer, however, there are some days it can push for more than several hours.

    Manly oriental!
Proud of Versace for coming up with this scent.
Sweet moist tobacco sprinkled with saffron, dry rose and woods.
    Just Ok performance sadly.
Remains close to skin ( I think that’s how it is intended to behave)
    Formal only
    Cold weather only
    Mature vibe ( not dated)

versace man is a great fragrance, no question about it. it opens fresh but then the tobacco notes take the lead, but it’s not all about tobacco. the smell after 40 min became smooth and sweet, not in a gourmandy way. it’s a masculine scent but not edgy and rude, very gentle and classy. the tobacco note is not strong as, for example, in trussardi inside(another masterpiece). versace man is like wearing a cashmere scarf or a velvet jacket, smoking a good cigar. u can use in every season but summer, and fits better for mature men, 28-30 and up and not for playful occasions. performance is average. un altro capolavoro da versace!

Dear Richmilton, I too faced the lack of longevity as with many fragrances of this era drived by greed. To fix this issue you got to have a lot of patience. Use about 10% and let the remaining volume to oxidize for about 1 year. You will get a much better longevity, projection and separation of notes. Hope this will help you. Have a happy New Year!

On me this doesn’t even last 30 minutes on my skin or on my clothes. Too bad because it smells great for the 20 minutes it lasts. Unique, very masculine, interesting, and perfect for cold/winter weather.
I have to disagree with the guy/gal below me that called this unisex. Yes I know that will get me no balloons but I’m being honest. This is far from a unisex fragrances. I could not imagine my wife wearing this. I did ask a few female co-workers if they found it unisex and all 3 of them said no. But all three, just like my wife, are very feminine ladies so that could be the reason. Maybe they should try Versace Lady.
Too bad this Versace Man is so weak because if really does smell amazing, and if it lasted at least a couple hours I’d be happy with that. Sad.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Wow. Wasn’t expecting it to be this good…
For starters, the gold trim ain’t gold – it’s bronze. But that just makes it look even cooler…
For everyone that said that this is an uber-masculine playboy scent, I will have to respectfully disagree. In fact, the opening reminds me more of a women’s floral soap. Yeah. Elegant, sweet and floral. I’m certain it’s the amber, because it has a rather strong presence in both the opening and the transition into the drydown.
After the first few minutes, the spices come out – saffron and cardamom mostly, but there is a bit of pepper in there. They get pretty strong for about 3 minutes, and then settle into a more balanced role. That’s when the sweetness really starts to shine and the light tobacco blends in masterfully. Maaaaaan, this is really good stuff.
If you’ve ever smelled Oud Noir, it’s pretty much the same opening, only stronger, no oud and with more sweetness. I don’t get the “grape” or “purple” connotations AT ALL. If anything, it smells more of a deep bergundy, like the colour of saffron.
However, don’t let the spiciness up close fool you – although it can be a little overbearing in the mid, it’s definitely NOT in the sillage. In fact, the scent trail is EXCEEDINGLY elegant, classy and sophisticated, and makes me think of expensive designer clothing.
But I STILL feel that this is totally unisex, and would smell incredibly sexy on either a man or a woman. It almost has this upscale, middle eastern spicy quality about it that I just love. What an incredible buy!
And yeah, I had to blind buy this because I couldn’t test it; but despite my apprehension about its infamous “smoky” reputation, I was delighted to discover that it’s far sweeter and more elegant than I had previously anticipated. Plus, the performance is well above average. It’s really a shame that this one is before Jeremy Fragrance’s time, because I could totally see his girls going gaga for this drydown.
PS – if you’re reading this Jeremy, think about it!
    Scent – 9.5/10
    Longevity – 8.5/10
    Projection – 8/10
Overall – 9/10 – So glad I finally pulled the trigger.

I was choosing between blind-buying Versace Man or go with the Spicebomb that i’ve had before and really enjoyed. I chose the Versace Man, because it’s fun to take some risks 😉 I must say I was rewarded with my choice.
So, the tobacco note is obviously in both Versace Man and Spicebomb. In my opinion (if I remember the spicebomb correctly), they have somewhat a similar smell with the fact that the Tobacco is a base note and is also prominent note in both av these. Although, the Versace Man is alot smoother, and Spicebomb might be a bit more peppery and edgy. Spicebomb is more of a shouter than Versace Man is.
I’m wearing the Versace Man for the first time right now, and what I felt right from the start was that I would like to bring a girl close to me, hug her and protect her. There’s a warmth and love in the Versace Man that a fragrance like Spicebomb doesn’t have. Versace Man is close to the skin and very welcoming imo.
I really agree with recent reviewers regarding smelling like it’s purple color. It’s cool, but hard to describe.
I wouldn’t say the scent is fantastic, but with some time it might grow into something spectacular. Too soon for me to talk about the perfomance.

Beautiful composition. Reminds me of an exciting evening in Vegas. It is classy, but playful. Well-behaved, but temperamental. This is for the dapper guy that still like living on edge.
Tobacco with a fantastically dry, spicy saffron note and a touch of amber to sweeten the edges. Great stuff, particularly shines in the evening as others have said.

I agree in full with the reviewer below me. Versace Man is soft, while lasting long, and is smooth and pleasant the whole way through. The tobacco in this is very prominent, and some of the other notes listed blend very well together to create in the opening an almost grape swisher sweet cigar type of smell. It doesn’t smell cheap or wack though. It is very sophisticated and seducing, and plays to the nature of the wearer.
It is different than any other Versace fragrance I’ve tried, and definitely my favorite from the house of Versace.
Very versatile, but does the best at night time.
    Rating: 8/10

I’ve never cared much for Versace fragrances…I find them often lacking in power, uninteresting, and not very daring (except for Dreamer). I bought VM on a whim, mostly because I love tobacco scents.
Firstly, I love the bottle. Purple, heavy glass with those rilled sides (Lets just ignore that the cap is lame plastic). The fragrance is awesome. It’s somewhat mild, never loud or cloying. All the notes blend well into a very nice tobacco/saffron/herbal combination- no overpowering notes. It is a little soft but longevity is good. I believe Versace’s description of VM being for the temperamental man is spot on- this would really compliment the vibe of an artist//musician. Cool, thoughtful, disciplined in his devotion to his craft, but passionate and expressive. I feel that you could wear this in just about any setting, though it skews more formal than casual. Versace has a gem here.

  30. :

While the notes are completely different, this DOES indeed smell extremely similar to Versace Oud Noir. I have no idea how… but if you already have one, buying the other will likely be pointless.
I now have both, and as similar as they are, they do have their differences… Mainly, for me, the saffron in Versace Man is a bit more floral and pronounced. Also, I think Versace Man is a bit more pleasant to the masses, while Versace Oud Noir is a bit more pungent.
Don’t get me wrong, actually, I prefer Versace Oud Noir! But more often than not, I layer Oud Noir with Polo Supreme Oud and other scents, whereas I’ve been wearing Versace Man by itself, even to the office. Versace Man is more versatile and you’re less likely to encounter someone who doesn’t like it.

Upon first trying the Versace line a year or two ago, and growing my collection this was a great addition as well. Previous reviews are spot on in regards to the grape cigar/tobacco note. I honestly haven’t reached for this lately as i’m sorta digging the dark orientals at the moment. But this is great in the evening for some reason. Signature worthy and panty dropper;)
Very unique and nothing else similar to this except Versace Black Oud listed above(minus the grape note). Longevity and sillage are perfect on my skin. Lasts 8-12 hours..wafts keep hitting me. Juice well done with an oily quality upon application to skin.
    9.5/10

Tobacco, Leather, Pepper and Citrus are my stand out favourite types of fragrance and probably also in that order too.
I still have a bottle of Aramis Havana which as many will know is a very strong, bitter-green Tobacco Leaf fragrance with a warm, soapy dry down.
Then there’s Versace man. Wow! This is night and day different from Havana. Elegantly sweet, fresh rolled Tobacco smokiness with some pepper and Saffron aromatics in the dry down. Please, please, please, Versace, don’t reformulate this juice nor (heaven forbid) discontinue it.
This is an absolute gem for cold-Spring, Autumn and Winter – possibly could be a Summer evening scent at a push but day or night this is an absolute winner.

I eventually tracked a bottle of this down, after being sent Versace Man Eau Fraiche, (from Amazon) 2 times!! purchased from a different seller in the end and finally received what I’d ordered. There’s no similarities between ‘Man Eau De Toilette’ & ‘Man Eau Fraiche’, other than the maker, they could not even be called ninth removed distant cousins.
My God!! This is a masculine fragrance, in no way unisex, to be honest I’d be intimidated by any woman wearing this! I was intrigued by the accord combination of; tobacco, amber and musk and it carries its own mystique and is unlike any other fragrance I’ve tried or owned. There’s a smoky attribute to this scent, but is not unpleasant like a smoking fire, more like slow, smouldering evergreen boughs in a smoke house. Peppery safron note is evident too, with a leather dry down.
My bottle is interesting because it appears to have two batch codes, one printed in gold,(2011/04/20) and an indented code of 3331A,(2013/11/07) I get a hit on both at checkfresh.com. I’m not sure which is accurate but this suggests It’s no longer being produced and if thats the case Versace should be ashamed of themselves because its a beautiful cologne.
The bottles’ also a lovely colour and very well designed. All in all a new signature scent. Very impressed!!

Awesome fragrance, blind bought it based on the reviews here and Scentlands youtube review. Tobacco is my favourite fragrance note and it is so well done in this fragrance. It is blended perfectly with the saffron and it has a real classy feel to it. The performance is pretty good on my skin. It opens pretty strong but quickly settles down to a moderate sillage. Lasts up to 8 hours. Another great fragrance in this style is Hommage a l’Homme by Lalique.
Seriously considering buying a back-up bottle of this great Versace fragrance, the prices on it are remarkably low right now. Get it while you can.

I love it! Blindly bought the 100ml size in sketchy chinatown in Toronto because I always heard it was good, and it was rare as f, but looked common like the Eau Fraiche I owned/own. I do like it, but it smells mostly(to me) like a milder Escada Magnetism.

This scent is dark, mysterious, and seductive yet light enough to remain classy and sophisticated. Tobacco wrapped in saffron is the key to its unique character. Sex in a bottle! Yum!

Versace Man is the best Vesace fragrance for me, on a pair with Versace Oud Noir.
The nose behind this perfume is a lady – Domitille Michalon – very competent although a little unknown.
Bare in mind that this fragrance was launched in 2003 pioneering a bit this type of scent. I consider it the softer brother of Versace’s Oud Noir
    My ratings:
    Longevity – 8+ hours
Silage – 8/10 (enormous in the first 3 hours, regular till the 6th hour and faint for the remaining hours).
Weather – spring, autumn, winter (day and night)
    Age – 30 ~ 100
Compliments – from everybody who likes a good intense woody/spicy masculin scent. A bit ladies magnet 🙂
    Scent – 9.5/10
Main Notes According to me – It is a complex scent very well mastered that presents a moderate opening with pepper and flowers + strong closing with immense tobacco, amber and cashmere.
In between some very well defined notes of saffron and cardamom.
Emotions – dark, sexy, classy, elegant, a bit beasty, woody and spicy.
The combo that I get in the dry down it’s a peculiar one composed of an amber base with a pile of pipe tobacco, a wonderful cashmere woodsy scent and a hint of labnanum. The combination is a real headturner.
This fragrance is devoted to center the feminine attention in elegant men between 30 and 60 years old, using a signature suit, white cambray shirt, silk tie and leather black derbies. George Cloney probably wore this perfume while shooting the Nespresso commercials.
    GREAT FRAGRANCE !!!!

I get a latino/machismo vibe from this for some reason. I didn’t like that at first because it seemed kinda cheesy, like it was trying too hard to be masculine, but it’s actually quite the opposite. It’s not trying — it simply is.
That said, I find it more wearable in situations where I’m already feeling confident. It’s more so a scent that will accent and reinforce your confidence, as opposed to one that will boost your confidence. This is now the bottle I reach for whenever I’m in the mood to wear my studded leather jacket that I studded myself when I was in a punk band. It’s an accent to my former hardened identity, adding a sense of maturity (and even a touch of romance and sexiness) while matching that confident side of me that I like to remind people of sometimes.
Sexy? Yeah. That’s the best part: I can take off the punk rock jacket, and Versace Man will manage to pair well with the black dress shirt I’m wearing underneath. It makes for an interesting night out.
Sillage is slightly above average for an hour or so, and then it tones down to the average range for quite a while.
Longevity is a plus. Stays on the skin for quite a long time after the projection ends, revealing a nice amber smoldering beneath that grapey-tobacco-saffron thing you just experienced for several hours.
Get it while the gettin’s good. It’s a low risk purchase at the moment, because it’ll be scarce soon and you can easily swap it if it’s not for you.

By far the richest, & darkest tobacco I’ve smelled in a fragrance. This is the sort of Tobacco you’d expect from Tom Ford. Hopefully Mr Ford will take notes

this is manly. this is special. this smells like tobacco and grape saffron like everyone else says. I personally enjoy metro-sexual scents or gender bender scents that are crowd pleasers that are masculine with a twinge of feminine accent. but this one is ALL MAN. It is so well blended and strong yet not overpowering. this one is just a steal at the price point i got it at. i love versace dreamer but this one is a nice one two. it smells pretty unique and it is kinda peppery but not to much pepper though. its still well rounded grape scent. solid purchase no regrets on this one. for 30.00 bucks for the big bottle this is a no brainer if you like tobacco scents.

Am i wrong or was this much stronger and smoky when first released? My bottle is from 2008, black border black spray nozzle and all, but i feel this has been muted from my original bottle. I still absolutely love this and will always own it but this thing used to be really potent. You think of Versace and most shrug their shoulders at the line but: the dreamer and man are classics with Eros and dylan blue being nice modern fragrances.

I was fortunate enough to be gifted a 100ml of this gem from a good friend last month before I bought it myself. While this scent has virtually nothing in common with it’s little brother, I am very impressed with Man so far.
Scent: On my skin you get a very realistic tobacco note with a slight menthol vibe. The scent honestly smells like a freshly smoked cigarette when the smoke mixes with the damp air on a cool rainy night but in the best way possible. That sounds odd but it garners compliments somehow. It is the type of scent that I would think would only appeal to frag-heads but it does strike a cord with some folks in the gener
