Top notes are lemon verbena, kumquat, lemon and bergamot; middle notes are freesia, orange blossom and lily; base notes are musk and woodsy notes.

Graceful and pure Verbena, Freesia & Musk is available as a 100 ml eau de toilette.

The nose behind this fragrance is Jeffrey Dame.

This is a wonderful citrus fragrance. Soapy clean verbena and spicy fresh freesia over musk. Cool and refreshing. Love it!

I received this as a free sample with purchase (or with contest winning… dunno which but anyway…)
There was a Bath & Body Works fragrance out 1,009 years ago, when their products had straightforward names (and very distinct scents) called “Cool Citrus Basil.” I never smelled much basil in it, but “cool” and “citrus” definitely fit. It and Juniper Breeze were the two most unisex at the time (and arguably the most unisex ever of the brand).
Anyway,if it was listed here, I’d say that, while not exactly the same, it’s similar to this one. Certainly in the “cool citrus” way, and also in the “gender neutral” way.
To me, this is the smell of a freshly showered athlete. It’s the smell of clean, healthy vitality, and because of that, it’s sexy in a very different kind of way.
It’s unlike anything else in my collection, and I think I might love it.
    Appropriate for: teens on up
    Headache factor: 3/10 (low)
    Office friendly: 8/10

Outstanding! I wear this day and night. Longevity is moderate to long. I live in the subtropics and I love to spray lighter perfumes such as this one on the back of my neck and in my hair. It last a solid 6 to 8 hours. This perfume makes me want to plant a garden with Freesia and verbena! Smells like a cool garden on my skin

Dame Perfumery Verbena, Freesia, & Musk marks another entry in the women’s EDT line that is quite unisex (much like Mandarin, Neroli, & Cedar), contra the feminine-leaning Soliflore line.
Freesia and Verbena are both florals that tend to smell both unisex and fresh, the former especially appearing in room (specifically, bathroom) fresheners.
In addition to the three eponymous notes, I detect some of the citrus elements alluded to in the note breakdown—a tart bergamot blended in nicely both contrasts and complements the floral elements.
As one might expect, performance isn’t great, but it’s a fresh fragrance likely to perform better and feel more appropriate in warm weather. A nice entry overall.

Crisp. Clean. Uplifting. Refreshing. I know this is marketed towards the ladies but this is really for anyone who likes the smell of “sunshine.” It really does capture Light in a bottle. Superb.

Spring-is-coming, and Dame Perfumery will get this party started. Verbena, Freesia, & Musk is a bouquet of sunshine, and everything bright & light. You spritz this on, and feel like you’re in a voile of butterfly migration in Michoacan. So uplifting and crystalline, it sparkles.

Clean is definitely the best way to describe this – the verbena lends a touch of citrusy soapiness, and the freesia is clear, shining, and not overpowering. I love this – will be perfect for Arizona summers.

Clean and airy in the style of Jo Malone but with its own sophistication – I was unbelievably surprised by this! Never having tried DPS before, it felt like I had just struck gold or something..
Clean, naturalistic, and refined. YES PLEASE! This is what I’ve been looking for.
The opening is citrus-y, tart and fresh but not overly fruity. A slightly green undertone settles in and the freesia/white floral harmony starts to hum.
Beautiful blend of slightly warm and sunny citrus notes with airy, ethereal white florals and musk. This is a LOVE.
Also really enjoyed the handwritten note sent with the package – lovely experience overall.

Very interesting scent. Primarily citrus with the lemon and verbena being predominant but as it warms the lily comes out quite clearly and after several hours is still there. I’m still smelling the lemon, which is a neat trick since the citrus notes of most scents fade pretty quickly. My assessment is that the house’s philosophy (3 notes well balanced) is perfectly displayed here. This is very grown up, very interesting and something you’d wear with a well-tailored suit or tweeds. Not quite as austere as Caprissimo Carthusia, not quite as bright as 4711 Acqua Colonia Mandarine & Cardamom, but in that group of adult citruses for year-round wear. I plan to spend more time with Dame Perfumery.
    Sillage: 1-2 ft, discreet
    Longevity: excellent
    Fabulosity: Limoncello on the veranda
    Value to price ratio: good

Love this! Bright and citrusy to start, then soft and inviting after…

Verbena, Freesia & Musk is delightful! Jeffrey Dame has been in the perfume business for many years and certainly knows his craft from top to bottom. I received samples of three of the new scents created by Dame Perfumery. VFM is one. After wearing my sample for much of the day I am charmed by the scent. Deceptively simple is the way I would describe VFM. It is sheer, airy, has a moderate sillage. I would call VFM a go-anywhere, wear-anytime scent. Like classic clothing, the structure is everything; Verbena, Freesia & Musk is constructed elegantly of quality materials. Well done!

The first blast of this perfume is all citrus, like warm lemon sunshine. While the opening is very bright and almost biting, with time the scent warms on my skin and the freesia emerges with a clean musk that I really enjoyed. Sillage is moderate and longevity was better than I expected for such a citrusy scent, a good 6-7 hours on my skin throughout which I could still detect just a hint of lemon. Though in no way a carbon copy, the opening of this scent reminds me of Chanel’s Eau Premiere, which I also love. I have to respectfully disagree with the first reviewer, who didn’t feel the scent was well-crafted. I felt that the notes were beautifully blended, though if you hate any of the notes listed you will probably not like the result. I also received this sample as a part of the August Olfactif collection, which were all from Dame Perfumery. I actually loved all three scents, which was a first for me with Olfactif. I just ordered samples of the other three scents in the company’s initial lineup since I was so impressed by the first three.

Received this as part of the August 2014 Olfactif collection. Two of my least favorite notes are in the title…verbena and freesia. Ugh. Sprayed it on an easily washed area, gave it a chance, scrubbed it away. Aside from the fact that I do not care for several of these notes, I didn’t feel it was a well-crafted scent.
