I have both this and pink sugar and I literally cannot tell the difference between the two.
I think this one might have a more “clean” cotton candy tone whereas Pink Sugar smells a bit more baked or “burnt”. Either way, both are pretty much the same…If I had tested this first I would never have bought the full bottle considering I have a full bottle of PS already.
Pink Sugar wins for me because despite the fact that it is a tiny bit more synthetic in the opening…the simmers down to the same thing as Outremar Vanille AND lasts longer than the latter.

Mmmmm! This is not as pure of a ‘vanilla’ as I was expecting, but it is a very warm, sweet fragrance! For me I would say the cotton candy note is stronger than the vanilla, but it’s a warm sweetness. On drydown it comes off as less of sugary cotton candy and more of a mellow vanilla.
This is what I had been hoping Pink Sugar would be, warm and sweet and simple! This would be great at layering as well, if you want to add a note of sweetness to a scent.

I’ve been wearing this everyday for a week now, which is so unheard of for me but It’s just such a no-brainer. It ticks everything off the box: it smells genuinely wonderful (like a soft-serv vanilla milkshake), lasts forever and ever on me but at the same time becomes a part of me rather than reminding me that I’m wearing PERFUME, can serve as a base for anything else that I want to layer it with, and costs only $18 and is available at Anthropologie (I also scooped up a $10 smaller bottle for travel). I’ve layered the Outremer Rose scent with this and it’s so, so pretty. Not to mention, this is practically a spot-on dupe for Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s Vanille Abricot (some say CSP Vanille Extreme, but I’m not as familiar with it), and this is a previous signature before I started exploring the world of fragrance. If you love vanilla fragrances, you seriously can’t go wrong! (I love this even more than Laura Mercier’s Vanille).
Edit: I just realized today that this smells exactly like a waffle cone at the dry down. If you have a sweet tooth, this is heaven. If you don’t have self-control when it comes to sweet desserts, stay far, far away! LOL

My review is about the oil of this one, not the spray, because I can’t find that where I live…
I have been a vanilla nut pretty much since I was born, so when I found this a few years ago (the oil) for the equivalent of 10USD I was like, ok, let’s get it, if I don’t like it, I can mix it with something.. so I bought it, smelled it, and DIED.
WHERE has this been ALL MY LIFE?!
my years in junior school testing and trying to think of ways to wear different types of uber-expensive vanilla extracts would have been totally unnecessary if I had known about this! this is crazy rich, straight up, holy grail, no-nonsense vanilla if there ever was one. this should be what you find in the dictionary under “vanilla”!
as I am more than double the age of my “vanilla essence years”, I sometimes feel I should be wearing something a little more sophisticated (outside anyway) and on those occasions I layer this oil, and another one/two of my favourite perfumes. as it is a pure, pure vanilla, it works a treat with everything. I have 10 bottles of this oil (no joke) because I am so scared of one day not being able to order it again.
It’s so easy with this one. if you want a PURE vanilla, press “purchase”. if not, press purchase anyway, because if you’re here, you’re looking for a vanilla, and you probably have a gazillion other perfumes that would go perfectly with this.
and for those of you who have not tried the oil, TRY IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. it’s lovely and potent- every vanilla lover’s dream. I would drink this in a second if it would make my skin smell like this naturally!!!
    uber-recommended.
I mean, come on. at this price point, what do you have to lose?

I was really lucky to bought it when I was in U.S , because it is unavailable in my country. a pure Sweet delicious Vanilla that I keep looking for and hardly get .Love it

Another really fun and happy fragrance from Outremer. Vanille smells very linear (but in a good way). On my skin, it smells like fluffy cotton candy with a hint of vanilla. It is very sugary sweet; a straight-up gourmand that doesn’t try to be anything else.
I would say that this is in the same ballpark as Aquolina’s Pink Sugar, except that I like this a LOT more. Pink Sugar smells much more synthetic to my nose to the point where it smells chemically to me. Outremer Vanille does not cross that line, in my opinion.
I honestly think that this works as an all year round daytime perfume. Yes, even during the Summer. The cotton candy notes make me think of the boardwalk on the beach or the county fair, so I think that this is very Summer friendly (especially because it does not last a long time on your skin; it wears very lightly).
I wouldn’t wear this going out (especially at night), nor would I want this to be a “signature” fragrance of mine … But I do think it’s a lot of fun and it puts a smile on my face.

This scent is made in France, which is pretty cool. It’s inexpensive but it doesn’t smell cheap or tasteless. When you first spray it and sniff the air, it smells like freshly spun cotton candy. It’s very light and airy, not syrupy. The scent in general is not a buttery kind, it’s very dry to the nose. When you smell it up close, it smells a little different. It can smell a bit like faintly woody vanilla mixed with the gas from an aerosol can. That’s only if you sniff too close though. After a while, if you sniff the air again, you smell a nice warm, foody vanilla that’s not too sweet, bitter, or woody. That scent stays for a long time, and it’s a great neutral vanilla that’s mature enough for all ages. It dries down to a scent that I can only describe as sweet. It doesn’t really smell like vanilla, there’s more a nondescript sweetness to it, sort of like white sugar. You will be able to smell this perfume on your wrists (or wherever you spray it) for an impressive 8 hours. However, it doesn’t project too far.
It was a great blind purchase for me. I would call this a pretty safe blind buy and a wonderful gift idea for those who love sweet scents. It doesn’t smell like plastic or too synthetic like some vanilla body sprays can. It’s not powdery either. It also doesn’t have a synthetic woody Iso E Super base like D&G Light Blue and many others. If you’re looking for a cotton candy scent that doesn’t smell too much like a teen body spray, or if you liked the cotton candy note in Pink Sugar but didn’t like the burnt licorice note, I recommend this.
Edit: The more I wear this, the more I love it. I’ve been wearing nothing else.

I finally got the sample size from antropologie&at first spray I dislike, but then a few minutes later I like it,it’s okay,it’s just the first few minutes it has this bubble bath scent&after a few minutes it finally smells like cotton candy vanilla&sweeter notes so it smells good, just don’t let the first few minutes throw you off! I’d say this lasts long on the skin, but closer to the skin&maybe you can smell a few inches away,so perfect I guess for your man to smell sitting next to you,it’s a sweet comforting scent&good for days you don’t want alot of perfume on&yet you want your skin to smell sweet. I got a FB on the way&very afordable 🙂

I purchased this because of the cotton candy. I am not one of those that distinguishes “women” vs. “girl” perfume. Good fragrances are good fragrances no matter the age or gender or notes. Of course there are preferences. For sweet gourmand scents I am appreciative of synthetic notes like cotton candy. So, in terms of this there’s definitely more vanilla but as the heart note begins to shine, I can detect cotton candy for sure… the surprise is the base note! Though certainly vanilla-ish there’s a hint of floral not indicated on this page! Maybe peony or violet? I am not sure but it was a definite surprise that made me go from meh/indifferent to like! Sillage is weak. It stays close to skin. It’s not cloying as the new formulation of pink sugar (I was one of the lucky ones who got to try it when it first launched in Italy years and years ago and I can vouch that it’s NOT the same!)… it smells simple. Sometimes that’s all you need.

I sampled this and loved it, it’s as good if not better than many of the expensive vanillas.
It’s a beautiful affordable straight up vanilla.

This is a beautiful decadent vanilla. Its a satisfying rich fragrance that lasts all day and night. This is a great product never mind the price being less than $20. I highly reccomend & I will be rebuying it.

I love a linear, rich, real vanilla fragrance, and this one is lovely. It’s sweet, but not sickly sweet, cloying, or heavy on me. It’s a little bit buttery, with an ever-so-slight hint of milk chocolate/cocoa aroma in the mix. I’ve had people ask if someone was baking cookies when I’ve worn it.
At only $18 at Anthropologie, it smells more expensive than it is, and the Art Deco-inspired floral label in metallic gold, vermilion, marigold, and midnight blue is pretty, too. The scent lasts 4-6 hours on me. I’ve paired it with J.R. Watkins Apothecary Lemon Cream lotion, and smelled like a lemon cake. This is more than OK with me; I welcome all comparisons to baked goods inspired by my choice of scent!
UPDATE: I’m updating my review because, after wearing a couple of other vanilla gourmand scents regularly (Molinard “Vanille” & Demeter “Vanilla Cookie Dough”), when I tried to come back to this one I got a different impression. It now smells like cotton candy to me and not so much like vanilla. If you’ve smelled Pinnacle’s cotton-candy flavored vodka, it smells like that, but without the alcohol. It’s not unpleasant, but it is sweet in a very girlish way. I probably would not buy again. I guess my preferences are becoming more developed and I have found that I now prefer a richer, fuller, more buttery vanilla.

Dreamy. Alone or layered this is a steal. Sweet but not cloying and it lasts on clothes or skin. I wear this with Cologne of the Missions often. Together they make one perfect vanilla.

Delicious replacement for Indult Tihota for me, and has more character. Performance is not as good but who cares when it saves you about $200?

  15. :

    3 out of 5

Not my favorite vanilla (I prefer boozy) but still lovely, innocent, linear, and sweet. Nothing hiding in the background here. An absolute steal for the price, and longevity is amazing! And I agree, vanilla if far more realistic than CSP’s version.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

This is a beautiful, high quality vanilla at a steal. I paid $20 CAD for this and this blows other vanilla-centric perfumes out of the water, namely Comptoir Sud Pacifique! Yes, the vanilla used in Outremer Vanille is almost a dead ringer for the kind used in CSP, but it has better performance, longevity, sillage, AND price. Who would’ve known?
Although this perfume is pretty linear as you might expect it to be, the vanilla itself is multi-layered. Upon the initial spray, the alcohol is very sharp and assaults the hairs in your nose. Then, it unfurls itself to be vanilla extract-like, boozy and a bit caramelic. As the perfume dries down, it can smell like creme anglais, vanilla sugar, etc. at different stages. The cotton candy does become more prominent, which adds a sugary sweetness to the composition, but it is nothing like the one used in Pink Sugar. Whilst Pink Sugar uses a burnt kind of cotton candy that is charred from hours of incineration, Outremer Vanille uses the fluffy clouds of freshly spun cotton candy. It smells more “natural” and realistic in that respect.
This is a must-have for anyone who is a vanilla freak like me. It’s a lot cheaper than Comptoir Sud Pacifique, Indult Tihota, you name it. I honestly would’ve paid twice as much as I actually did for the quality I got. Simply superb! 🙂

Received this humble little beauty in the post just yesterday and have already fallen in love with it.
I feel like my nose has become so refined that pink sugar (which I also have) actually smells revolting and cheap in comparison to this, and guess what, this is actually cheaper price wise.
For those of you looking for the perfect cotton candy/cupcake scent, this is it! Look no further honestly. And at its price point (i paid £13) its just ridiculous not to blind buy it, provided of course that you are a sweet scent fan.
It has a kind of alcoholic sharp nostril burning scent when you first spray it on the skin. If I can give it an exact scent, it smells like the aerosol that comes out a whipping cream can after it has been emptied. To avoid smelling this don’t press your nose directly to your skin when you apply. Spray 5-6 times in your area of choice and leave it be. It will rise and release wafts of sweet sweet candy. My mother visited me while I was wearing this and immediately she sniffed and commented: “phoo. it smells like a patisserie in here. Are you baking a cake?”. Not long after I saw my boyfriend who also commented “whats that smell? Do you have biscuits in your handbag or something cos you’re making me hungry!” Today my sister commented that I smell like sweeties.. well you get the jist, its very likeable 🙂
I get decent longevity for the price point (about 4 hours). Lasts forever on clothes though! And I imagine others can still smell it on you even after you no longer smell it.

This most definitely has a candy scent to it once it settles. At first spray, it smelled like a lighter version of Memoire Liquide’s Armour. Once settled, is far more candy than Memoire Liquide. Very beautiful and I love it, but not a ‘strict vanilla only scent’ to which some have desceribed

Well, I don’t know what to say other than it really smells just like vanilla and cotton candy with an eventual musk drydown. It’s very sweet and dry and floofy, yet delightful if you are into gourmand. I had a cotton candy body spray in 1997 when I was a kid, and this is a slightly more advanced version of it.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

I enjoy this, but it is so, so sweet. It definitely has a strong cotton candy vibe to it, and for the most part it’s too sweet for me to wear by itself. I like to pair it with Serge Luten’s Fille de Berlin: it makes the latter more cute and youthful, and Vanille a little more mature and grounded. That combo gets a lot of compliments!
I got this in search of just a straight up, natural, linear vanilla. I wanted vanilla extract in perfume form, and this is not that. The cotton candy note is too prominent for this to be my perfect pure vanilla. But it’s sweet and it’s yummy, and very youthful.

Always on the lookout for the perfect vanilla, I made a point of seeking this one out to test today. After about three hours, it is quite pleasant. The challenge comes with waiting for those first hours to pass. I only applied one spray but it was very strong. Its name is Vanilla and that is exactly what you get, delivered with a heavy mallet. One good feature is that Vanilla doesn’t smell synthetic to me. You know, for $18, I might just buy a bottle and handle it very carefully. This fragrance has quite the kick.

Such a delicious gourmand. A fellow Fragrantican suggested it to me and I’ve loved it ever since I’ve tried it! It’s mainly a sweet, warm vanilla but also smells a little bit deeper, kind of like caramel? Which is a bit strange to me since caramel isn’t in the notes. But nevertheless, it’s a great vanilla perfume with an unbeatable price (I got the 50 ml for only $13!!). It’s great for layering if you want to sweeten up or enhance the vanilla note in another perfume. And it lasts forever on clothing. A must try for all vanilla/gourmand lovers!

This one is such a boozy, warm, thick and cozy scent. It’s such a unbelievable strong aroma that spreads like a wild fire of a sweet and rich burnt vanilla. My first order broke in transit but the smell still stayed for a whole week, reminding me of baked cookies. Although it only consists of vanilla and cotton candy, it feels so mature and classic.

This one is nice! Sweet vanilla inter-twined with cotton candy. Simple with great sillage. Perfect for bright sunny days. Can’t go wrong with this one.

  25. :

Don’t you like Eau des Missions by Couvent des Minimes? It is a natural vanilla, very long lasting and with moderate to heavy sillage on me, with natural ingredients and a nice price. And Joop le Bain is also a very nice vanilla, cheap but not cheap-smelling.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Delicious! Yes, this is a lot like Indult Tihota, but hard core vanilla lovers will definitely be able to tell the difference and I personally think it’s worth owning both. Still, this is a GREAT $25 fix for Tihota lovers who are still saving their pennies (like myself). Outremer Vanille lacks the muskiness of Tihota, that’s the main difference. I can also smell the cotton candy, but it’s nothing like Pink Sugar cotton candy. It’s fresh, soft, light, fluffy cotton candy (almost fruity), no burnt overtone or candy floss note here. Actually, the best way I can describe this is that it’s like Indult Tihota and Farmacia Vaniglia del Madagascar. Outremer Vanille also smells expensive. Most cheaper vanilla fragrances have a noticeable plastic overtone to me, but this has none, a feat that I don’t usually experience with vanilla-centric perfumes under $100. In contrast, VS vanilla lace DOES smell like Tihota to me, almost exactly, but with a strong plastic note and not much depth. Outremer Vanille also has LONGEVITY! You can see by my excitement that longevity is not something I often get with rather basic vanillas like this (basic as in solinote, not boring or overly simple). The sillage is soft, but not so soft that I can’t smell it without huffing it off my wrist, and bear in mind that my skin devours perfumes and I usually gravitate towards heavy hitters. The quality far outweighs the price with this one (the the point that I’m kind of shocked!) and I think every vanilla lover needs this. Or if you want a superb intro straightforward vanilla without giving up an arm and a leg, you need this. One of my most successful blind buys ever.

I love vanilla and gourmand scents and this is one of my favorite perfumes! I’ve had people say I smell like hot chocolate, sugar cookies, cotton candy, etc but that’s not what it smells like to me. The first time I inhaled this sweet scent, it was on a stranger who I forced to tell me exactly what it was and where to get it, because she smelled exactly like my favorite scratch-n-sniff My Little Pony. It was a scent that had haunted me since the late 80s and I had finally found it! Not really, but it seriously smelled just like that pony’s haunches. I think it was supposed to smell like a cupcake? I wore it for years but took a break for a while, not for any particular reason. One day, I decided to break it back out and, not joking, a friend of mine totally freaked out on me because I smelled just like a My Little Pony she used to have. 🙂

Awful. This perfume smells strongly of bourbon vanilla. It’s heavy and musty. I can’t even wear it because I get an instant migraine. My boyfriend seems to like wearing it, though.

This is a sweet gourmand scent. I wish it had a longer life. While it’s on me it leaves behind a powdery vanilla that smells like cotton candy, caramel and gingery cookies. It’s like having gone into a bakery candy store or ice cream shop and the sweet scent of pastries cookies cupcakes and cotton candy got stuck on you. Really sweet, girly, pretty. A bit similar to Britney Spears Fantasy but much lighter.

I love vanilla. It is my favorite note. Outremer vanilla is an incredible bakery smelling vanilla for the price. I find it really similar to montale vanilla absolu. It lasts fairly long on me and has soft to moderate projection. It also layers really well with other scents. It is my favorite budget friendly scent.

After giving up on finding a vanilla fragrance I like, I went out to Anthropologie to give this a sniff at the recommendation of a youtube beauty guru.
Bottle: I think this bottle is so cute! I love the nice square shape and the vintage-y design on the label. My only issue is with the cap. The sprayer came off and got stuck inside the cap of my little travel sized one, so I’m careful when removing and replacing the cap on my full size bottle. The sprayer can be finicky sometimes. I might try decanting my broken one into a travel atomizer and using it that way.
Fragrance: Straight up vanilla, without any chemical smell. I do smell a little marshmallow but for the most part I think to smell anything other than vanilla you have to be looking for it. It’s a fun little fragrance, if you like gourmand scents. I typically don’t wear straight up “food” scents but this is a good one to have on hand, especially to layer with warmer fragrances in cooler weather, or to enhance the vanilla note in another fragrance. If you have any floral scents with a vanilla dry down, try layering it with this one, it can smell really good! It has good longevity for an eau de toilette.

  35. :

Synthetic smelling and cheap. Yuck! Stays forever on clothes though, which I guess is great if you like it?

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Not bad, but I sort of get that feared ‘play-doh’ note in this one a little bit. It’s not huge though, just sort of sitting there making the fragrance a little heavy. Still – not a bad straight up sweet vanilla, very enjoyable and yummy. I’ll enjoy it a lot while my decant lasts.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

    Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I luv this!
This is real vanilla bean with nice amount of caramel or cotton candy. Caramelized vanilla anyway. I didn’t know what else to expect except that it’s sweet but the quality really surprised me! I mean it smells excactly like the vanilla in Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s vanilla drydowns. Imagine Vanille Abricot, Vanille Banane or Vanille Extreme from CSP without any of the fruits or extra stuff. Tahitian vanilla with some sugariness. If you look at the price you would expect this to be something like BodyShop’s or Yves Rocher’s cheap vanillas but no, this is high quality luxurious ultimate vanilla fragrance. Much like old L’occitane’s Vanille which I still have (but which is not listed on this website) but this doesn’t have the Madagascar vanilla (bourbon) that it has. This is tahitian like CSP’s.
This is my go-to-daytime scent! The sillage is soft, but the longevity is great. At night or on an occasion this is perfect for sweetening stronger fragrances.
And the bottle is so cute. Looks like a vintage bottle. It doesn’t look cheap even though it’s recycled material, which is why this is said to be so cheap in price. And yeah the price is really amazing! Also the sprayer is awesome because the mist is fine. I know a lot more expensive perfumes with much worse sprayers.
This fragrance is hard to find. Especially in Europe (where I live). So consider yourself lucky if you have this 🙂
    10/10 !!!

Love this vanilla smell. My own smells like vanilla with a hint of cotton candy which is perfect because I use to mix my cotton candy and vanilla spray together. It is a pleasant die down and gives a sweet hint of vanilla when passing. It isn’t strong and the smell seems to fade after a while. It is a scent close to your skin.

  40. :

Having not read anything about this fragrance before trying it, I came here to say it smells just like Swiss Miss French Vanilla hot chocolate (and it does!), but now that I see the reference to ‘cotton candy’, it all makes sense. This definitely isn’t a straight vanilla, though to my nose the ‘secret’ ingredient is a little more marshmallow than cotton candy. It’s definitely gourmand and quite a pleasant scent, though not complex in any way. A linear fragrance; what you sniff in the first few minutes is what you get. Swiss Miss lovers (and lovers of those tiny, dehydrated mini marshmallows) will be delighted!

I am scared, truly afraid. I just paid a lot of money for one of the much talked about vanilla bombs over at Lucky Scent after paying for multiple samples. We vanilla fiends know it takes time to find just the right one and usually there is only one. I finally bit the bullet and made my choice and even though I had considered it a mid-range at $150/100mls, it’s still a pretty penny. And then, I swapped for this!! This $22 bottle of sunshine! This powerhouse vanilla dream! It is wonderful! It is pure vanilla on me, no cotton candy nonsense and very little else to detract from the pure vanilla bomb. It’s straight and solid vanilla extract to my nose. It isn’t fluffy or wildly exotic, no extra frills. Just pure vanilla loveliness! I don’t how long lasting it is yet but honestly, who cares! It’s $22 or a swap away!! So, if you can’t throw down $150, or more, for the hype of a vanilla, try this. I’m not disappointed by this one at all. My disappointment will only be if I find my Lucky Scent purchase makes a fool of me!

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Surprisingly, I’m really enjoying this! The opening is baked sugar cookies. It eventually dries down to freshly spun cotton candy that hasn’t been eaten or licked yet, and then it ends by going back to sugar cookies. It’s not heavy or sticky or too sweet. I don’t get anything artificial at all – to me, even vanilla extract can smell slightly artificial though. For a sweetness comparison (not scent), it’s only slightly sweeter than Le Couvent des Minimes, but nowhere near as sweet as Pink Sugar. Projection is moderate-to-soft, and longevity is about 8 hours. This is yummy now, but I know it will be even more delicious in fall/winter!

Can we not buy this now? It’s one of the best perfumes. IT SHOULD BE AVAILABLE

  44. :

    4 out of 5

To me, this smells EXACTLY like straight vanilla beans.
This is true vanilla, not overly sweet and artificial. I happened to smell dried vanilla beans earlier in the day. I was surprised by randomply finding this perfume and it smelling the exact same!
I was considering buying the last of discontinued Havana Vanille (Vanille Absolument) from L`Artisan Parfumeur- for $165. Almost Nothing lasts on me. When I smelled this, and could tell in would last reasonably, I was thrilled that I could spend $18 instead of $165. I will certainly continue looking for interesting vanilla scents with depth, but this is an absolutely beautiful, extremely affordable option for everyday use. I love it!

  45. :

This one really surprised me; in a good way. It really does smell like a freshly baked sugar cookie. If that’s not your thing, you may want to avoid this one. But for myself, I love it. Will this be my signature scent? Probably not, but it is fun and YUMMY. If you enjoy gourmands, for 20 bucks this can’t be beat IMO. Aside from the price point, another plus is that it lasts forever on me.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

Not the best vanilla I have, not my favorite, and certainly not the most complex, but definitely the one with the best sillage and longevity. It expands enough that others can smell it without their nose glued to your wrist, and it stays on me for hours, which is miraculous in and of itself. I find myself reaching for it over and over because I know it will actually be detected. It’s a good addition to any vanilla lover’s repertoire at $18. A little known gem you have to know your fragrances to find out about.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

Yes indeed- this is a very sweet vanilla. More sugar-cookie than vanilla, really. It’s very sweet but isn’t unbearably sweet like Montale Vanille Absolu. This smells of sugar cookies dipped in vanilla bean sauce (if there’s such a thing).
I find the comparisons to Island Vanilla and VS Vanilla Lace quite strange since I can’t smell any extraneous notes at all on me (and those perfumes are definitely musky or fruity vanillas). The lasting power is also great with a whopping 14 hours when sprayed on each wrist and dabbed on to the pulse points.
It’s not a linear vanilla, but not quite multi-layered either. It gets quite buttery and caramelly on the drydown. Do NOT wear this when you are hungry, though! I almost ate myself when lunch time approached lol! This is definitely going to be a favourite. It’s a good replacement for extinct foody vanilla perfumes like L’Occitane Vanilla and original The Body Shop Vanilla perfume oil.

Sweet, SWEET vanilla, of yummerific proportions. Outremer Vanille is one of those perfumes I’ve had 3 years, it’s never graced my swap list, and my bottle is only a third full. Serious, non-fleeting love.
To me this fragrance captures a buttery sugar cookie with a dusting of even more granulated sugar on top!
The brown sugar and cotton candy notes in here are a little bit unusual and I’ve thought a lot on the interpretations of them. For me, the brown sugar and cotton candy translates into the fragrance smelling “baked”. The cotton candy picture in here is misleading to the eye IMO because I really don’t think it’s a pink cotton candy that went into outremer, just a plain caramelized spun sugar. White plain cotton candy, with no fruity flavor.
The texture of the perfume is interesting to me, it seems more oily than most perfumes I have. It’s nothing to be alarmed about, but occasionally I notice a little bit of crusty film right around the sprayer like there might be something almost solid in the fragrance.
The perfume lasts good n’ strong for 6 hours on me. It’s the kind of perfume I put on when I want to smell delicious for miles, people notice when I have on vanille. If comments like “Something smells like cookies!” bother you then don’t wear this one because you’ll be hearing it a lot, lol.
Fantastic foody vanilla perfume well worth the $20.

Outremer Vanille is a sweet, almost viscous smelling vanilla scent that you kind of expect to be sticky when applied to the skin. (It isn’t, thank goodness!) In the first few minutes I get a slight burnt sugar note which disappears quickly. This is a very linear, very straight forward, highly caloric smelling vanilla. Longevity is a couple hours, but it had pretty big projection. Fun.

Based on my first impression of it, it immediately smelled like the vanilla extract you get at the grocery store..but sweeter in a way.
I dont get much of the cotton candy, but I do get a hint of the sugar in it and of course the vanilla.
To me, its not too overpowering which is a good thing because I would def not want to blast people with a sugary substance of vanilla..even though this one smells yummy..but perhaps its the subtle smell of it that makes it yummy?
It fades rather quickly however. It lasted about 3 hours on me, but by then you had to really smell yourself to get the smell.

Smells cheap to me, as in sharp plastic+very sweet vanilla and extra chemicals which were not intended to play a part in the scent profile, and instead register as just “noise”.. Anyone considering this one should also try Pacifica’s Island Vanilla. Same price but a nicer scent overall, in my opinion.

Very sweet, a bit heavy with the sweetness, a syrupy sort. Delicious and gourmand smelling, but could be heavy for summer. Just a hint of cotton candy, it’s mostly sugary vanilla.

I blindly ordered a bottle online with nothing but reviews to guide me. I’m glad I did because it smells delicious. I’ve overheard people saying that it smells like chocolate or baked goods. Some say it smells like tobacco. I simply smell sweet vanilla. Little lasting power on this, but you will smell like a delicious treat for a bit (if you’re into that).
