This is nothing new. It smells like alot of other boring eastern fragrances. It’s just meh unfortunately. Presentation is great and it performs moderately to good. I smell alot of incense but…. Nothing remarkable.

This is a very daring fragrance. Full of contradictions and innovative in my opinion “if it is not already a clone of a perfume that I dont know”.
Not for everyone and a love it or hate it for sure. A beautiful but risky fragrance, you might recieve complements or very negative reactions.
Best for cold weather and will be recived more positivity by middle east people.
It is fruity oriental floral and spicy with heavy dose of ashy leather/oud accord that will leave you smell like an ash trey the hole day. Not really a tobbaco note but cigarettes ashes.
    Powerful performance and longevity.

Interestingly where is the tobacco note, and i smell ashes left on my chest after good 12 hours.
Man!this stuff is loud,it speaks out loud and bold.
Sweet, cloying in the top with a tinge of citruses, and saffron.
Apricort and fruity accords gives way to amber and beans.
Leather has been blended in a way that it smells of oud and tobacco.
    Woody notes are chopped.
Gourmand, cakes and oudy, but very very sweet in a good way.
If you are healthy,it is going to boost your energy.
A work of wisdom by Rasasi.

If La Yukawam is the Fraternal Twin of Tuscan Leather, Tobacco Blaze is the eccentric oddly sexier brother.
Tobacco Blaze opens with all guns blazing.
Upon initial spray you get Apricot, Lily Of The Valley, & Neroli, with the Saffron adding a mild spice, as well as a Leather like accord.
The Oud is Ashy, resembling a burned Tobacco.
As the fragrance heads toward its base the Coumarin, Cedar, & Amber, all work together to create a creamy powdery base amidst a Violet & Patchouli thats mildly Earthy & green…all still revolving around a light Apricot & Ash.
Tobacco Blaze is worthy of Hype, as it is definitely Niche quality juice.
    Performance is beastly.
Its Silage precedes you, & leaves a trail the span of an entire room.
Lasts on skin 14 plus hours. Lasts on clothes for days.
Lastly…There is no Tobacco listed, but the Apricot, Violet, Patchouli, & Oud all work to create the accord of a fresh Green fruity Tobacco thats just been lit among its first puff of ashy smoke.
    Aptly Named…TOBACCO BLAZE.

Sharp, raw and bitter tobacco, rough but bit floral. Seems of some artisan nature. You need to be alfa male to pull it off. I have reasonable collection of niche tobacco fragrances but never allow any fragrance to let it down. I have strange relation with blaze means deep love with a bit of hate. When ever I wear, I am noticed with mixed reaction. Blind buy worthy cause it is cheap and can easily grab it’s place in your wardrobe.

Beautiful fragrance. Love the use of apricot to tone down the leather and oud to make it very wearable and pleasing. There is no tobacco, but the blend of the above gives it a fruity tobacco leaf vibe. Unfortunately this fragrance does get overlooked because of the hype of La Yuqawam Homme, whilst not being quite that level, it’s still an extremely well blended and sophisticated fragrance.
    Just added to my collection!

When I bought this niche frag mid 2015, I never knew it’d radicalize my olfactory tastes for leather-themed frags! As adjudged below by several commenters, “Tobacco Blaze” isn’t anything near tobacco. What I get all through is this suede-like leathery-spicy-woodiness! This is one undisguisedly masculine fragrance ideal for office, travel, polos, fashion gigs, red carpet events and of course date night. Not to be worn unsparingly.
Longevity and projection is above par! It stays 8hrs+ on my skin and days on my clothes. I just received my second bottle about 8 hours ago! Loving every bit of this niche fragrance!
Ideal for guys (and ladies) who love leather themed scents spiced with unapologetic woodiness.

Wow this is the ultimate old man scent, to my nose. It certainly won’t be mistaken for a feminine scent ever. It smells very manly but in a very old way. No sweetness (which is fine) but nothing except the smell of seriousness and conservatism.
It doesn’t smell like an old man, but it smells like the library of a wealthy, conservative older man. I don’t mean older like 40 years old. I mean like 60 years old or more.
Maybe it’s the tobacco vibe that gives me this impression. I guess 60 year old men who have a library in their home might also be inclined to smoke while they read. So that’s the overall impression I get from this scent.

This perfume reminds me of an inexpensive Encre Noir by Lalique of which I get a lot of vetiver. Though this doesnt has the note but overall its nothing like the former off course. Its dark, incense and can be worn anytime but could be rocked more into the party nights, weddings especially out in the lawns.
I got this one by mistake cos had got it through a friend who was travelling from the UK. I had asked for a Pour Homme instead but nevertheless i like this too. Already have a TFTL so can wait a little till i get the LYPH

I believe the synthetic note other reviewers are referring to is quinoline – a hideous aromachemical.
I was hoping for a tobacco leather fragrance. The leather of a luxury handbag.
This isn’t it – it’s bitter and full of quinoline. The only suggestion of tobacco in this fragrance is cheap cigarette smoke from a packet of fags from the local corner shop.

Flowery Leather with uplifting properties, no monster sillage, good lasting power! Hints of tobacco and flowery leather!

The notes listed aren’t lying. The name is a misnomer. There’s no tobacco here. Not sure what the other people are smelling.
    Update – January 2018
Still no tobacco. Yet there continue to be new reviews speaking of the tobacco which IS NOT PRESENT in this fragrance.
That’s the power of suggestion. The name told them tobacco and they’ll imagine the tobacco as a result. It’s not there. This scent did grow on me. I’ve upgraded my “like” to “love”, but there’s still no tobacco.

but the dry down smells like burnt cigar
they got the tobacco note in a wrong way, i guess 🙂

This smells just like Lattafa’s Night Oud. Why isn’t there tobacco in the notes. The atomiser leaves something to be desired.

Call me crazy but this smells like the opening of Club de Nuit intense for men. Not that aventus part but just the opening with the Strong citrus. But here even tho i don’t see Citrus, that smell is smooth and kinda dark and sophisticated for sure

  18. :

    The opening…
I got a ton of white floral of some sort. Looking at the notes now it has to be the neroli and lily-of-the-valley. I also got a fair amount of leather and saffron with a little oud. After a few minutes the floral notes cooled off and I could detect some fruit.
Now it has been a little over an hour. I am still getting the leather and some sweetness. Something smells a little plastic like but I cant put my finger on it. It still might be the floral notes. At this point I am not a big fan however I could see it growing on me.
    Ill update later on

Yummy. Sweet intense tobacco mixed with elegant florals and so well lasting. Like feelings which I also love. Rasasi delivers. Not too masculine either. Beautiful full bodied evening fragrance.
There is something in this fragrance though that is a little synthetic. At first not noticable but after a few wears I get a hint of it it’s not horrible but very synthetic.

got a sample of this thinking it was the original pour homme (TL clone). first of all i get no leather out of this whatsoever, all i get is a very medicinal smell which i guess is the oud, but to me it really smells like the smell you get from a broken plant stem.

In the discription of this fragrance, they didn’t mention a Tobacco note. Strange!!
More strange, is the comparison with Tobacco vanille from Tom Ford figured below.
No vanilla note here, the opening is sharp turnes to Tobacco, while TV is so sweet all the way (believe it or not, TV lasts 4 days on my skin-the most crazy longivity ever for a perfume)
This scent is for mature man for cold days. Good quality, projection is over avarage and presentaion is quite classy.
    In all I’ll give 7/10

  23. :

    4 out of 5

I took a huge punt on Tobacco blaze considering it’s fairly pricey but still cheap for the quality compared to say…Tom Ford.
Oh while we are on the subject I decided to get this Yuqawam as apposed to the much talked about on here Tuscan Leather one, because I wanted to be surprised by the smell and despite reading reviews beforehand, Tobacco Blaze has certainly done that!
I honestly can’t say I’m convinced by this yet but what it has delivered is a interesting but not totally unique experience.
The opening is a dark, ashy sort of affair which is dry and unpleasant like a burnt tobacco. Lingering only a molecule or two underneath this vail of ash is a poofy, lighthearted fruit affair which opens like passion fruit and soon dries to an unmistakable creamy apricot yogurt smell.
This is all well and good but then Tobacco blaze starts to get more powdery leather with floral hints just peeping through. The ash like, spiced wood smell reminds me of ELDO Jasmine et cigarette and a patchouli dry note (which reminds me of that rough, recycled type paper you got in primary school…was it called sugar paper?) with the apricot note persisting throughout.
My main complaint with this fragrance is…Did smokey and apricots every have to meet? Really?
The jury is still deliberating, overall I’m happy with the purchase because It’s a talking point of a fragrance and part of a family of scents I like very much. Everything said Tobacco blaze is a success of a blind buy and performance & silage are very good, the presentation is fantastic. I’ve got a feeling this one will grow on me.

I have over 100 fragrances in my collection, with many of them being in the niche category.
TB by Rasasi is one of my favorites. It lasts for hours on my skin & projects very very good. I get many compliments every time I wear it. I have a couple of backup bottles.
I do prefer the Tobacco Blaze to the LaYuqawam Pour Homme. Tobacco Blaze has a richer smell to it, although the LY Pour Homme is also an excellent scent and I also have a backup bottle of that.
Excellent value for the money, as this perfume is way up there.

Its been almost a year since i am using it. well i don’t have appropriate words to explain it……. i have 50 plus niche perfumes in my collection but if i have to choose only one of them to the rest of my life i will definitely choose this one.
It smells highly expensive. Now when ever i test any new niche perfume i have this one as the benchmark in my mind. Comparing this to “Tom ford Tuscun leather”, considering 80$ for 75 bottle of Tobacco blaze vs 250$ for 50 ml TF tuscun leather it is far better in terms of quality and specially price. Also wearing TF is some times uncomfortable specially for people with sensitive nose but for Tobacco blaze you will never find this problem.
Longevity is amazing around 7-8 hours on skin and 12 to 18 hours on clothes even in summer (although it is a winter frag).
Projection and sillage is also unbeatable. people around me notice it and ask for its name and price(because it smells expensive).
    Perfectly suits to mature person.
    Longevity: 9/10
    Sillage: 9/10
    Fragrance: 10/10
Price: i can’t rate it’s current price (80$) because it’s worth more than 500$ to me
    Highly recommended

Oud, leather, powdery…okay, but to me this comes-across as the fragrant-smelling ash of a fine cigar (tobacco) that was dipped in apricot brandy and rolled in spices, with violet and perhaps some other floral notes chirping in the background.
As this fragrance progresses, I sense a dirty-dried straw/hay accord although the aforementioned tobacco ash continues to smolder softly, and under control, in the background. I don’t know much about coumarin, but I will assume the interplay of courmarin and some other notes give this fragrance its body, which really is Tobacco Blaze (aka Cigar on Fire). While this is not one of my favorite scents…it is damn interesting, and how Rasasi made oud, leather, et al., smell like lighted tobacco is genius.
The drydown strikes a nondescript semi-dark/earthy accord; patchouli, oud, leather, woods and amber? Perhaps, but my nose cannot separate the notes…plus, that ashy accord–along with this fragrance quickly becoming a skin-scent at drydown–makes things a bit difficult on the olfactory senses.
Longevity is excellent (9-10 hours) and it projects moderately for 4-hours before transitioning to a skin-scent. Overall, I feel that Tobacco Blaze can be a somewhat polarizing fragrance; some will love it and some will dislike it. Offhand, I really like Tobacco Blaze…it is well-blended and very interesting. I don’t know if I’ll come to love it, but I will update my review accordingly.
The presentation is fantastic! Tobacco Blaze comes packaged in a handsome black ceramic bottle and an excellent magnetized faux wooden-box. Very interesting and diverse reviews on this fragrance, for sure.
2018 Update: Tobacco Blaze is more of my most favorite daring scents of all time. I love this one!!!!!

Wonderful fragrance! Performs very well. For a younger man that wants to smell sophisticated and yet young. Very candied at the top. Works something like CK Shock. Sweet and then the bottom is nice n warm n tobacco-ish/leather. For the price this is a must have in the arsenal.

Kind of odd, there’s some things I like about Tobacco Blaze and some other things I find almost hard to stomach. It goes on like some crazy kind of tobacco chocolate motor oil, heavy and synthetic and chemical with a thick oily sheen. Nothing makes sense in the beginning but it comes together around the half hour mark. I get three distinct components at this point. The first is a rich base of dry tobacco, very pungent. On top of that is another thick layer of saffron. It’s heavy and has something of a chunky, sticky chocolate note buried behind it. Finally, at the top is a smooth and dark fruity apricot. It’s the highlight of Tobacco Blaze and my favorite part about it.
I’ve worn Tobacco Blaze about 5 times at this point with mixed results. On some days it breathes well, and comes across as a saffron-spiced dry tobacco scent with an almost airy, dark apricot. It’s great when it works like this. On other days it’s heavy, cloying and disorganized and sort of remains in a state of limbo, without everything really coming together and just getting stuck in this mucky synthetic kind of fragrant tarpit. I haven’t figured out the trick to making this one work yet however, and need to give it a few more wears before reaching my final verdict.

Just applied some from a sample and all I keep wondering is where I have smelled this before. Oh, and what is that incredibly strong sweet note? A look at the note pyramid would tell me this is apricot. As I am going to bed now, I will scrub this off as it’s not very pleasant so far. Perhaps because I am testing it simultaneously with Laboratorio Olfattivo Alambar, which is quite different and a lot more to my liking right now. 😉
I will give this one a new chance, a fair one even. But so far this is nothing like I would have imagined this to be.

Most nauseating fragrance I have come across yet. The saffron/apricot combination mixed in with that car interior leather is just hard to deal with. I don’t find many fragrances nauseating but this is just terrible. Performance is good though, but I just can’t stand the smell.

Hands down this is one of my best kept secrets. Beast mode and has super sillage. I would not say this is like aventus or anything like it but it possesses the same smokiness. Furthermore instead of aventus pineapple it’s some type of fruit that is heaven when paired with the smoke. I’m taking a peach or some type of subtle apricot blend. This is where the blaze comes in this fruit and smoke duo last till the fragrance dies off. If there is oud its barley noticeable. To me there is no oud just pure fruit, smoke and blaze. This is fresh, nothing like any other tobacco scent I have smelled and definitely far from Tom fords tobacco vanille. This is a fresh fruity smoky scent PERIOD. I’m on my 3rd bottle this is good stuff. All year round scent. More smokey in the winter and fruity in warmer weather. I get no leather if your looking for leather get the homme version.
Btw some of the reveiws seem off here I think people are getting this mixed up with la yuqawam homme this review is for tobacco blaze.

    Leather based fragrance
I didn’t get why they named it tobacco blaze because I don’t pick up the note.
I own the all La Yuqawam line up and this is the only one that is not a copy or similar one of other fragrance on the market. Original was Tuscan Leather and Femme was Black Orchid. Tobacco Blaze is very unique and never smelt anything like this before.
Fragrance opens up with animalic dirty leather. It is bolt but not so disturbing such as Leather Oud by Dior. It has good amount of Saffron to give a slightly creamy vibe. It really tones down the Leather’s harshness. When the Leather settles down, it becomes more enjoyable. Yes, oud is in there but never pups up or takes over, it is just nice to give this fragrance back bone. One of the dominant notes Violet, it is not showing itself but it is really there from beginning till end.
Overall, very nice fragrance, it is different. It has good performance on my skin. Best performer from the line is Pour Homme but tobacco blaze is close to that too. It lasted aroun 8-10 hours and sillage, projection was 4 hours.

Today i compare: Tom Ford (TF) Tobacco Vanille (TV) vs Rasasi La Yuqawam Tobacco Blaze (TB)
I spray both on my wrist…
after 5 mins when i take 1st sniff
TF TV – i get sweet Tobacco and from Rasasi TB – i get sweet Saffron but there is also a note, which is sour (i think it has to be Neroli – Orange Blossom).
    after an Hour:
the Heart notes from TF TV is Tobacco + Vanilla and from Rasasi TB the sweetness increases due to Amber coming into play but the sour Neroli note is still there.
after 3 Hrs: the Dry down –
TF TV getting Vanilla and Tobacco all the way and from Rasasi TB it becomes sweet agarwood with very little or almost no leather note
Conclusion: there is no comparison between TF TV and Rasasi TB (fragrance wise) because the main note in TV – Tobacco is there from start till end but in TB – there is no Tobacco at all (at least i didn’t get any tobacco at any point of time)
    Bottomline:
TF TV is very rich & luxurious with Tobacco right from the beginning till the very end, superb longevity and silage but again comes with a price bracket of approx Rs. 12,000 for 50ml
Rasasi Tobacco Blaze: a very beautiful fragrance from the house of Rasasi, with very good longevity & medium silage and in price range of Rs. 4,000 for 75ml its any time worth buying it then any other designer fragrance

There are two versions of La Yuqawam (irresistible) for men; Tobacco Blaze & Pour Homme, both of which are sharp knock-offs & are expensive for the usual range of Rasasi fragrances.
I do however prefer Tobacco Blaze to Pour Homme, for being less sharp & for having more of…um…character to distinguish itself.
Someone out there will like this, but that someone isn’t me.

I like this fragrance a lot. It is extremely intense and it’s definitely a sillage fragrance, where you’re intended to enjoy its cloud rather than sniffing the skin where you sprayed it. It smells harsh close up!!
But enjoyed properly, it’s a beautiful blend of apricot and saffron on a bed of very dark, warm, cosy woods with an unmistakable hint of dry ash or smoke.
I have worn it on a warm evening where it’s very comforting, but I think it will come into its own in the winter.
EDIT: now wearing this on a hot Aussie Summer evening and it’s beautiful. Like distant cigar smoke blowing through a grove of orange and nectarine trees at sundown. It smells fresh and uplifting – loving this experience!
