In summer of 2014, new bottles of collector’s editions are presented in ruby red for women, as a symbol of ultimate luxury, and royal shades of brown for men, celebrating the timeless elegance and luxury. Both bottles feature coins in gold color resembling the discovery of ancient Sicily and the influence of ancient Greece. The motif of minted coins as the main feature of these collectible editions describes the mysterious, intense, energetic woman and sophisticated man who charms with his strength and mind.
Male edition DOLCE & GABBANA THE ONE COLLECTOR FOR MEN top notes will offer a blend of grapefruit, coriander and basil, followed by a strong blend of cardamom and ginger laid on masculine tobacco accord, amber and cedar. The fragrance is available in bottles of 100ml EDT at the announced price of 76 Euros. It is oriental-spicy.

While I agree the scent is great, timeless, sexy, etc. I don’t get the endless collector’s edition bottle releases. Why bother to change the bottle’s appearance when people buy what’s inside the bottle not because the bottle is pretty or different. The EDT and EDP versions are identical except that the latter is more long lasting because more perfume oils are used. That’s it.

This is a no brainer of a purchase. Everyone at the very least likes it (to me). It pretty much smells like the original, i’m sure there is a slight difference if I focus and try to pick it up but to people around you it will smell the same as the EDT
This is definitely stronger than the original EDT. Never tried the EDP and its strength.
This projects really loudly for 3 hours and scent bubble (sillage) around you for another 2.
It’s too bad this was a limited edition, this is probably the best version of the one ever made.
You want “the one” that actually projects and lasts and you know it smells this good? Then get the collector’s edition (if you’re lucky enough to find it)

I’m very fortunate and extremely happy with my recent purchase + reasonable price.
Longevity is far better than the original (reformulated) when compared side by side on skin.
It lasted for a good 8+ hrs even after i took my evening bath with a scented shower gel (if i may add).
I also did try the EDP version before I purchase this, as I could remember it was pretty loud on the initial spray for a good 2-3hrs but somehow it doesn’t last long as i hoped (on skin). But on test strip was like 4-5 days still noticeable just like any other fragrance i tried (e.g. Coach for Men 2017, Pure XS, CH VIP men Black etc).
Do note that I’m testing them in a hot and humid country around 32 Degrees Celcius (borneo) where I live.

No, it happens more that some sizes are not mentioned.
Sometimes there are 150ml or 200 ml bottles of a fragrance but they are not in the description on this site.

Blindbuy as an ex GF told me that she sniffed the D&G collector in one of shopping mall..and it was superb.
It slightly the same with my D&G the one, but this collector have greener and deeper tobbaco scent.
To me this one more masculine and have sense of mysterious
The sillage and longevity is an issue…it stays in my arms and neck less than 3 hours
For night hang out or just cuddling in bed or sofa with your beloved, is the choice!

I’ve had so many samples of the original The One but never thought is was good enough to warrant purchasing, until I got my nose on this… To me, it’s better than the original, the missing orange blossom note makes the cardamom shine…. now it reminds me of YSL la nuit de L’homme.

I don’t know this is different from the original one.
It holds on me, I sprayed it as regular 1 on my chest-1 each side of my neck and 1 on each wrist (5 sprays)@ 10:30, can still smell it fine at 19:00.
Maybe I’m lucky….

I’m wearing this perfume right now. I really like the smell ! I only have some questions to myself about the longevity. Sometimes I think it becomes a skin scent after two hours.
I think its safe for a blind buy. Its a smell that everybody loves that I know.

This is far more enjoyable and memorable than the original. opens with a sharp lemon-something combo, then cardamom comes along with a hint of ginger, then a creamy, rich and sweet amber-tobacco combo that stays with you.
A classy, lovely formal-ish/pretentious casual night scent that works in all seasons.

A good ambery spicy perfume, warm and sweet in a balanced composition.
The main dominating note here is a lovely amber note. I can easily detect cardamom, ginger, basil and ccoriander behind amber in a very good composition.
I think cedar and tobacco here are responsible for controling or balancing the sweetness of the whole output, I don’t get tobacco clearly though.
It is a rather formal lovely scent for almost all year round except hot days of summer (cooler days preferably), any occasions (nights preferably) and best suited for men above 25.

گریپ فروت در اینجا تنها تاپ نت مرکباتی هست که نقش خود را خوب ایفا کرده است.
بنظرم سدر و تنباکو در این کار بمنظور متعادل کردن گرما و شیرینی کار بکار رفته اند البته من تنباکو رو بطور واضحی حس نمی کنم.
به چشم کار تنباکویی به آن نگاه نکنید، شما با یک کار کهربایی ادویه ای مواجه هستید.
این کار بنظرم کاری است نسبتا رسمی و شیک ترجیحا مناسب مردان بالای 25 سال که می توانند تقریبا در اغلب ایام سال بجز روزهای گرم تابستان (ترجیحا روزهای خنک تر سال) از رایحۀ دلپذیر آن لذت ببرند. بیشتر مناسب استفاده در شب هست تا روز.
این نکته رو هم اضافه کنم به دلیل زیاد بودن عطرها با غلبۀ کهربا ممکنه رایحۀ این کار براتون آشنا باشه.اما خب این مسئله چندان از ارزش کار کم نمی کنه مگر اینکه دنبال روایح تک و خاص باشید. اگر کارهای کهربایی رو دوست دارید میتونه انتخاب خوبی براتون باشه.
فکر می کنم به دلیل طراحی زیبای کار گزینۀ مناسبی برای هدیه دادن نیز باشد.

Très bon parfum sincèrement, sauf qu’il ne tiens pas si longtemps, la marque a aussi jouer sur la bouteille et l’a rendu vraiment au top comparé au classique The one

A contemporary gentlemans fragrance (30’s / 40’s). Upon first application it just has a fresh encompassing aroma that may appear too much, just like Opium in that respect. However, it settles down to become a rich, lively scent that stays on the skin for a good 5 hours. I’m using it after the gym as it really benefits from that fresh from the shower application. Typically, I’d say its an evening scent, but its good with me at all times.

Oddly enough, I’m not familiar with the original “The One”, but this version smells amazing and lasts forever on my skin and clothes. It projects moderately. It has a really fruity and tropical vibe to it, with a gingery base. The tropical vibe lingers all the way through, especially if I spray this on fabric. I absolutely love it, and I’ll be hunting down a bottle of this once it is finished.

well , i find this one strangely resembling to D&G The One . The only difference is with the longetivity and fragrance scent/projection. D&G the one is better in all ways.

I would have to agree with carlosalsa507. I bought this in duty free in Frankfurt, on the flight home the next day i sprayed this on, and could smell it clearly on my wrist when i landed in Toronto (It was around an 8 hour flight.) The smell itself is incredible, reminding me a bit of a sweeter more sophisticated version of YSL la nuit.
Longevity: 9/10 (maybe just my skin?)
Projection: 8/10 (Projects to within 4 feet after a number of hours)
Scent: 9/10

I tested this on my skin exactly about 3 hours and 30 minutes and i can still smell it very well .I really dont think is the exact as the regular D&G the one , this collectors edition definately has better longevity no doubt about it , i will be purchasing this tomorrow , i like better than the original

Not a review but for what its worth.. If you just go by the ingredients/note list whatever. Strangely platnium edition was the reform that came out of the one last year or so, it was harsher at the top imo, and note wise it had ambergris instead of amber supposedy. Now I havent smelled this one but this supposdly has amber again instead of ambergris but now has no orange blossom. Go figure.

It clearly says EDT in the article reviewing this. I love this frag but it disappears very quickly… If only they would make an intense version or something of this stuff.
