Ooh! Yasmine! You ARE bewitching! This is the first time I have sampled a perfume from Penhalgion, and I am definitely under the spell of this beauty. In many ways, she reminds me of vintage Poison. Not so much as a smell but rather as a feeling, like you are wearing a potent tool of seduction that must be yielded with discretion, lest it overwhelm and cause the spell to backfire! I need to study her more to really understand the notes at play here, but my sample is so small and it may be a while before I can add this to my collection. In the meantime, I will save what I have and only use it on the nights when I want to be suggestive and seductive. I will own this some day!

ah dear…that kitty head cap…was hoping that the frag would be brilliant , too, I mean for the price you’d expect something extraordinary.
however the name just proved to be true but not how I expected…the frag itself is not bewitching but in fact it is bewitching people to part their money for a generic smelling rather flat vanilla. This experience in my book is worth about £20.
too bad…sorry kitty cap, you won’t be mine …

This scent surprised me. It lived up to it’s title and ,did ,indeed ‘bewitch’ me. Coffee in scents usually are not my thing, however, with the jasmine and cardamom ,blending well, I can cope with it.Longevity is certainly not an issue here….I got at least 8 hours on my skin. I have only a sample, and as much as it smells good on me, Yasmine is too expensive, so I won’t be buying a bottle.

coffee, vanilla and oud that read like a chocolate tobacco with a hint of fir and cardamom; similar to A*men in the top but there’s no wood in this other than the balsam hint; this reads gourmand through and through and is even better. Delicious. I want to nuzzle myself. That little darkness of the oud keeps it edgy. This is not watered and close like the first Portraits series. This is a monster.

Simply divine. A very elegant and wearable everyday oud that wreaks of femininity. It’s rather syrupy (not too much) and spicy, very sexy but sophisticated. I love love love it. The staying power is amazing. I bought a sample from Penhaligon’s and I put three sprays on in the morning (each wrist and my neck), I can still smell it on myself after 8 hours.

Oud, vanilla and jasmine sambac are obvious in the scent. I always fall for jasmine sambac as it provides a warm yet floral seductive hue. Jasmine smells nice but unfortunately it does not work on my skin whereas jasmine sambac does. A fragrance smells so sexy and sensual whenever there is jasmine sambac in its formula.
The dry down is better than the beginning in which the oud is a bit too strong and you can literally smell nothing but oud. Nevertheless, you can appreciate the oud blending with other notes at its dry down. There is a same DNA in Bewitching Yasmine and Uncompromising Sohan and I do not solely mean oud.
Anyway it is a beautiful scent and the portraits collection never disappoints me albeit I dislike some of them but I have to admit that they have a unique and original smell which I smell nowhere. Probably the only dry back is the price.

    The perfume demands attention.
A strong Cardamom, Coffee and Musky scent starts then appears the Oud dragging along Sweet Vanilla.
The perfume is not bad and great for Winter, but might be annoying to other people around.

Yasmine is the Arabic pronounciation of jasmine and this fragrance is everything but jasmine so far (from 0 to 3 mins in).
The top note and the first spray is vanilla at MAX and slight dark for, cardamom, and hints of coffee. As a matter of fact, I keep in sniffing sweet vanilla for certain amount of time (5 mins) till the oud note comes up balancing the juice.
There is some sweet Amber as well and kind of sweet incense.
I remember sniffing this fragrance a month ago and I loved it quite much back then because of the sweetness I get yet no jasmines detected, also I remember back then that the jasmines starts to appear right after the coffee note weakened which most probably after 30 minutes. I need to test it more in order to know if the jasmines really comes out after 30 minutes or it was just an imagination!
After all, this fragrance is superbly good and amazingly blended, I might go for a full bottle since this us the 2nd time I am testing it. Enchanting.

Thick syrupy oud. Has a woody sap quality to it. It feels very caramel and gourmand like. I think it smells like Moroccan Jasmine and cardamon tea with many teaspoons of sugar in – I imagine a lovely tea shop with inscence burning and coffee being brewed.

Same woody vanillic chestnut accord than in Noir Exquis by L’Artisan Parfumeur.

very syrupy ok i will be honest is not bad , to me smells like cough syrup but much nicer i belive it would be quite comforting during winter in a cold country but since i live in good ole mexico is a pass for me.
it has a rummy , heady vibe to it is good just a bit thick

There is a bit of similarity with Clandestine Clara but just because of the creaminess at some point. It does last long even though it stays close to the skin. It is a beautiful creamy oud scent that to me nose is very versatile. Thumbs up!
