Description

Tender Kiss is made in the honor of 10th anniversary of Laique perfume. It was introduced in 2002 in pink crystal bottle which reminds us of old luxurious perfume bottles.
The picture of romantic kiss on the bottle symbolizes elegancy and romantic feeling of this perfume. It was designed by Anne Flipo, Charabot and put top notes into sparkling and jolly notes of litchi and rosy berries, the heart conquers with rose petals, spiced with pepper and nutmeg, and the base caresses us with its warm and very seductive notes of Bourbon vanilla, sandal and incense.
Tender Kiss is available in the amount of 50 and 100 ml EDP.

Me and pink pepper do not get along and this is really all about the pink pepper, much like the notes suggest. I can stand it in a few fragrances but this is not one of them, it’s positively nauseating to me. Smells like itchy sneezy peppery red pencil shavings, I can feel it tickle at the back of my throat. No. No. No.

This is a very nice fragrance, I could be unisex IMO and yes it similar to Eau de Cartier Goutte de Rose since I also own it, but this one is softer and fresher accord, and more of the other notes, but still with rose note there, very subtle.
I’m glad I got it.. and yes it is a “Tendre Kiss”.

There is a strong burst of pepper and rose and i enjoy it. It is too bad that they become silent very quickly. The pepper and rose are still there, sitting on the skin very quietly. I press my nose against the skin from time to time because the scent is really pleasant.
The perfume lasts about 2 hours and then it is gone.

This perfume is not a plain sailing indeed. Choppy, salty, smoky, woody and yet sweet and sexy. Utterly joyful!
The Rose is definitely a pungent One here. Formidable charm!
What an intriguing beauty; never boring, a posh spicy girl, adulteress for sure!
And with her peppery kiss she whispers to you: ” I’ve never promissed a rose garden “. Challenging and yet kissable!
Such an amorous kiss from such a gorgeous, erotic bottle! J’adore! Though, the sillage and lasting power leave you craving for more…
    Xxx endlessly!

QUESTION: Does the Rose make this perfume smell like a funeral home? I’m on the fence as to whether I want to add this perfume to my collection….Rose is usually not my thing but I do like spicy scents. Thanks in advance!

Rose & pepper is what I mostly get from this perfume and I really love it. It’s soft and spicy with a little sweet fruitiness (litchi?) in the background.
I also have perles and amethyst which I both love and this perfume is somewhere in the middle of those. It’s less loud and softer than perles and less fruity and more spicy than amethyst. I think I’m a lalique fan! I wonder if the other lalique fragrances are also this nice.

Spicy marmolade – rose mixed with litchi, red pepper and nutmeg – that’s simple recipe for the success in kitchen… and on the perfume market. Feminine, so gentle and uniqe. It’s not another sweet rose, it’s pungent rose!

    EDIT: gifted away.
I have a spare bottle (50ml) if anyone is interested.

In spite of the bad reviews, i truly like this scent! It is one of the most distinct roses on the market ( and i’ve noticed there’s a hype with rose scents this year: ballenciaga rosabotanica, chloe rose…)
Tendre kiss a very suitable name: it’s soft, yet hot and spicy, lots of beautiful rose and grounded pink pepper, well matched with nutmeg. Warm yet airy, and long lasting – like the indelible impression of a fairy-tale kiss!
    Lovable perfume!!
8 months later: it’s 35 degrees today, and all i’ve been smelling on me for the past 6 hours is pepper in massive doses!! So it’s perfect for winter and cool autumn, but horrible for the summer… Let’s shower!!!!

Being a BIG Le Baiser fan, I ordered a small bottle of the Tendre Kiss EDP. I somehow assumed it would be a lighter/fraiche version of Le Baiser. It does not even vaguely resemble Le Baiser. It reminds me of violets and those chalky pink candies that taste of musk. The pepper has not hit me yet. Will give it a while longer. This would be a lovely, easy to wear fragrance on warm days. For me personally: I guess I have been spoilt by the wonderful Le Baiser juice and cannot quite get a grip on this one. Le Baiser turns heads. Tendre Kiss might just make those around you fancy a sweety instead.
UPDATE: Gave this baby another go yesterday. Pleasantly surprised at how lovely it was. I suspect the warm, balmy weather and my hot skin had something to do with it. It’s still not as grown up as Le Baiser, but I’ve decided I could quite easily invest in a big bottle of this for summer. It’s non-offensive, not common in its fragrance and great if you like a bit of rose without being tacky.

I got this as a gift and think it is a positive surprise. At first it is a nice and cosy rose. It’s a bit powdery and sweet. Then the pepper and spices come out. The drydown is heavier and turns into a complete new direction. It’s about spices, nuts and sandalwood then. The staying power is ok. Since I like both directions, the scent works fine for me.

This is a strange one, which I’ve just revisited after a spring clean of my perfume collection. The scent has a hint of dry, almost dusty rose, which is almost obliterated by tons of pepper and nutmeg. It reminds me of the smell of a Catholic church; there’s a lot of incense here. It’s not for everyone. I liked it when it first came out but it’s languishing in the back of my collection now, two thirds full. I’d say it’s for the professional woman who means business and wants to be taken seriously.

Initially beautiful, very subtle, tender (ha!) and clean and then, when you least expect it, all of a sudden BAM! Like someone dropped the peppermill and its contents exploded all over the kitchen. Nothing tender about the heart of this scent, it’s Pepper or die, baby. While interesting, it’s not for me and it’s sad it’s so mislabeled. This is the female version of Marc Jacobs’ BANG. Notice the difference? BANG was named appropriately..

Just received the sample today. It’s so soft and powdery after the initial spray. The top notes really reminds me a lot like Kenzo Flower. Then, there’s something wrong in the middle notes which turns sour + salty on me. It feels like something similar to calone or sea water. Things that you got when you wear Aqua di Gio or Bvlgari Aqua Marine. Could that be the rose?? Rose does turn sour on me, but nowhere near salty at all. Does anyone experience the same saltiness?
The mid is totally different! It’s like I’m wearing a different perfume! The transition is so easy to detect. Now I’m at the floral stage, beautiful rose with a hint of nutmeg and pink pepper. So soft, and yes…it’s tender. Having said so, I still don’t get it, why does Anne Flipo need to add pink pepper here, since IMO pink pepper is an element of ‘surprise’. It’s the exact opposite notes to represent ‘tender’. Oh, well…maybe that’s the ‘spark’ of excitement you’ll get when someone you love kisses you….
The drydown is so familiar…maybe Jeanne by Lanvin? Anyone’s agree??..

It is a nice scent, light and I do get a lot of pepper and rose, doesn’t last that long on me.( about 3 hours).
Nothing wrong about this perfume but for me also nothing special.

Rose with a hint of pepper- this is what this perfume is like. It’s light, fresh, perfect for hot summer days. Staying power is decent- about 4-5 hours. I had a bottle but it bored me after few days of wearing it.

I could smelt just pepper, only pepper, and the lasting power is even less than 1 hour on me!!!!why?~~~

Typical Lalique ! I could recognise a Lalique scent anywhere and with eyes shot. The pink pepper is very strong. On my skin, I mostly smell this. Rose ? Only a little bit. And perhaps a bit of sandalwood.
It’s not much of a feminine scent, but is powerful. I personally like it, but I admit this perfume to be particular. Could go very well along with the Lalique, Encre Noir pour homme. They almost smell identical.

Lalique TENDRE KISS reminds me of Clarins “Par amour toujours”. I’m a little bit desapointed, because for the price, nothing special for me…

Beautiful – reminds me of the holidays in an unconventional way. Firstly, because it’s a cheerful scent. It’s like slightly sweet spices mingling with a bouquet of flowers on the table, next to a bowl of berries about to be made into a pie. The smoky incense deepens the fragrance as it dries down and it gets warm and enveloping. A very nice surprise, have not smelled anything like it. Plus, the bottle evokes timelessness. Gorgeous!

This was a huge disappointment – I expected something romantic and fragrant, instead this is barely perceptable funk. Incense? Nadda. Sandalwood? Nah. Vanilla? Nadda. Spiced rose petals? You gotta be kidding. Pass this one over ladies, waste of money.
It’s hard to say what it smells like – I get a one-note scent from this for about 5 minutes and then POOF, it’s gone. It reminds me of what my grandma’s hankies used to smell like after being stashed in her bosoms all day. Well, maybe not that good… 🙂

It’s a medium-weight pink pepper-incense scent on me. I do not detect the red berries or the litchi, but in the heart I can feel the effect of the nutmeg and rose altering the incense note. Being a lover of incense notes in perfume, I enjoy this quite a bit!
But I wouldn’t have guessed this classifies as a floral. It’s all incense!

Le Baiser means The KIss not tender kiss, hence why a differnt name was attached to this juice.
    Hope that helps.

Does anyone know why Lalique released this just after “LE BAISER” (French for Tender Kiss), with the same name and same bottle. But different notes+noses ??? I’m a bit confused? Hope someone can clear this up?

How can I describe this perfume? It is timid, prudent and well-behaved, like a Victorian Lady walking through the sunlit woods. It is like 19th century novel with rose petals stored between the dusty pages and mixed with sweet spicy smell of nutmeg and pepper imported from India.
The pepper and especially nutmeg gives it grounded quality but it is not too strong to overpower the rose. Nothing about this perfume is too strong or too bold. The sandalwood comes in the end with a nice touch. I agree with sherapop that it is Oriental Floral, as spices are integral part of this perfume.
This is perfect office perfume. It is not strong enough to make a statement but it is good enough to put on when I want to go light on the scent. I would not call it outstanding but it is fine for everyday use.

Lalique TENDRE KISS reminds me a bit of Lancôme MIRACLE. Both feature pepper, flowers, and lychee, but TENDRE KISS offers a somewhat more subtle presentation of these notes to my nose. In addition, TENDRE KISS has a less musky base. The labdanum here imparts a smooth texture and viscosity apparent from the opening. It may also account for the good longevity of this low sillage edp.
I would call TENDRE KISS an oriental floral, since the spices are just as important as the rose. If I were in the market for a lychee pepper floral perfume, I’d choose TENDRE KISS over MIRACLE since the pepper is more measured in this composition and does not overwhelm the florals. But anyone who likes the Lancôme will surely like the Lalique as well.

I don’t get that much pepper here.
Surprisingly, this is one of the best true rose perfumes out there. Its scent reminds me of the grandiflora rose bushes in my garden.
A really romantic creation. It’s not heavy, has decent sillage and the bottle is beautiful.

This fragrance seams like a dance of the Beauty with the Beast to me… There are some delicate pink flower petals in it, but there’s also pepper, a lot of pepper… This pepper makes it spicy and… I don’t know, maybe ash-like?… Sometimes seems cold like frozen flowers, sometimes seems to be spicy, with stronger personality. I must say I like it, although find it a little bit to sweet.
