dry, cozy and very soft rose-musk-sandalwood. smells of dry pine-needles in the dry-down on my skin (and on my clothes.) lovely. rose is not nearly as pronounced on me as it seems to be on others.

This was a blind buy for me and I read it based on reviews here and also the detailed one at @MaraDraffnon’s blog. It is a very unique rose based scent and super versatile. It starts out like a really sweet rose on me, almost like rose petal jam meets honey. Initial half an hour of applying this, I was nearly regretting my buy, but like they say good things come to those who wait. From a rose dessert, it then turns into a really nice mysterious rose that lets amber peek out off and on. It has a sandalwood note too, but that is also not a sharp woody note, but a sweeter milder note, that comes out after a couple of hours in the dry down, mixed with the soapy musk.
If you have smelt traditional Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh,India) ittars with Rose and Sandalwood, then you are in for a big surprise. I thought this one too would get a little incense-like with sandalwood and rose, but in this perfume both the notes are present and yet soo soo different. I use a drop or two at a time and no more.
The best part about this perfume oil is people cannot smell you from a mile away, but yet you can get a whiff of rose, amber, sandalwood off and on.
Jan 2018 edit: This fragrance had great layering potential, thanks to Suhaesa, I now wear this under Al Haramain Madinah as well as Western sweet fragrances.

A gorgeous honeyed rose fragrance! I find it very addictive – it’s so calming and uplifting. It’s very long lasting – I smells creamy rose petals even after 12 hours.

A lush, sultry oriental floral that carries me to other places and times. Smooth, dense, ambery rose with a touch of jasmine to add even more sensuous beauty to the mix. Longevity is excellent; I could still catch wafts of the notes over 12 hours later. A provocative beauty.

    Damask rose heaven.
That’s it. One the richest rose I had the pleasure to try out in the past months or so. Sundus feels decadent in a good way. It has a similar style to Nahéma extrait : not the same notes really, but the same richness and lushness of the rose note.
It’s just layers and layers of sweet and jammy damask rose with a touch a sultry jasmine poking out from time to time. The base is nice and smooth, not overly sweet.
The white musk is barely there, which was a big relief on my part.
I’ll definitely be buying a large bottle when my sample run out (probably be in the next few days to be honest)!
