Just got this. Did a straight comparison. It it not like Spicebomb. This has a strong note of apple and cedar. I would not buy it if you are thinking you will get a cheap version of Spicebomb. In my opinion, it is a bit like Chastity. Spicebomb is one of my all time favourites.

An honest review about this. THIS FRAGRANCE IS NOT FOR CLOSE ENCOUNTERS. It is a woody heaven, very similar to Victor Rolf Spicebomb as i mentioned in my another comment, but very strong EDP. Just one spritz on your neck pulse and boom. you’ll still smell it on you the next day. A very good cheapie and worth trying but use it very light as it is a powerful fragrance. Thank You! I’ll rate it 8/10 as i am a sucker for woody notes 🙂

On me, Sultan gives a very strong and sweet juniper berry accord for about an hour, depending on the weather, and then settles down to more of a woody/spicy fragrance. The juniper berry is delicious for summer and pairs well with other attars. I just wish the juniper berry lasted a lot longer. Otherwise, I get 4-5 hours out of Sultan. What I really like about these Arabian oils is that they rarely go funky at full drydown like many traditional western alcohol-based perfumes. They just quietly fade away with the same nice accord the drydown starts with.

I’ve got to disagree with the reviewer below me. My wife and I have a bunch of “high end” fragrances, and we love this one on my skin (Nebras for her). Al Rehab has proven to me on a few occasions that dollars spent and famous brand name are not always synonymous with quality and enjoyment. Sultan is sort of a rich, warm, soft, and woody scent that is best applied in moderation, as I’ve found it is easy to over-apply the Al Rehab oils. Along with Silver and maybe the Drakkar Noir clone, Dakar, Sultan is the best of the Al Rehab line that I have found for masculine leaning scents. This is a winner for $6.

In short: Warm, spicy, and musky. I don’t know if my nose is wrong or anything else, but I feel the smell is a bit too soft, too bad. Will try it again later.

I got this for a really low price, it’s really cheap where I live, I just got it along a bunch of Al-Rehab fragrances just to try. I sprayed it all over me in the morning. In the evening I go back home with the smell in my nostrils, constantly sniffing myself and eternally pleased. On the way back home, I stopped and bought 3 more.Enough said, it’s that good.
All the four of them cost me $6 😀 I wanted to buy more, but I have many fragrances, so I think I will survive the fragracalypse when it comes with only 4 bottles of Sultan.

    ****6ml oil****
cedar, juniper, cardamom, bergamot, cinnamon??? Mmmm nope, sandalwood, musk and vanilla?? Mmm nope i can’t smell it
Citrus first, then cedar.. And spices..
Monster longevity,.. Older crowd 25 yrs plus..
02/18/2018 ****oil & the spray mixed on a decant ****
When i love an al rehab oil that’s what I do.. I mix them up in a Walmart travel decant… I use it for work… (super cold air conditioner blasting all day) i got two compliments already.. One of my customers told me that I smelled like a sexy hippie.. I was like wtf you mean?. She was like you smell nice and masculine but not your typical gel shower/mainstream /cologne/after shave etc

The fragrance is just ok I don’t consider it a mind blowing one or maybe it’s the weather but it’s surely not offensive the fragrance is soft although the opening bothers for a few minutes.
I get a fresh and cool vibe which will work better in summers only.
For such a low price, the quality is not cheap neither is it a high quality one I would give it around 6.5/10
    Bought 35 ML for $4

    Fragrance -Sultan Al-Rehab
    Bottle(roll-on)from – 2015
Sultan is in the middle of the road between a western and oriental fragrance.Like a great man on a bridge over troubled water, trying to have the best of both worlds.
Sultan is a woody, spicy, warm, moderatly fresh and exotic blend of cedar, musk and juniper, enchanted with a little touch of spices, sandalwood and bergamot, and a wisper of vanilla. It has some similarities to Chic Shaik No 70 by Shaik.Highly recommend this one.
    Longevity – 8/10(8+hours)
Silage/Projection – 7/10(moderate to high projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours)
Weather – for more or less any time of year.I personally wouldn’t wear this on a really cold winter days and on a really hot summer days.
    Versatility- 8/10
    Age – 24+
    Compliments – 8/10
    Scent – 8,5/10
Main notes according to me – cedar, juniper, musk, bergamot, spices.
The drydown is powdery and i get some – woodiness, sandalwood, vanilla and musk.
    Emotions –
    cedar forest,elegant,fresh,warm,class,sophisticated,exotic.
Occasion -for more or less any ocasion.
Could be a nice signature scent. You’ll get compliments with this one.

Sultan is a nice, woody fragrance. It starts out rather strong… and I notice right away a combo of frankincense, iso e super, and natural cedar. There’s just a touch of calone that adds a “fresh” vibe, as well as black pepper and cardamom floating over the top. I’m not terribly fond of this fragrance at this point… it seems harsh… but after 2 hours, it softens remarkably- a fleeting rose appears and disappears in here somewhere- and ultimately settles into a calm, woody-resinous aura that lingers for quite some time.
I’m reminded of Terre d’Hermes a bit… but the clear olibanum note gives it an exotic edge.
    Easily unisex.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

It’s a very delicate masculine scent.
To me it’s smells somehow like marine… and musk is a very delicate.
I have two rolls on as well spray bottle.
I have got this spray for my friend Karolina from Poland.
The spray bottle sounds more femine maybe because – more watery and oil is less concentrated?
Anyway I love Al Rehab brand a lot.

  16. :

I can’t believe I paid so little for this oil! I’ve tried a lot of Al-Rehab’s stuff but this is hands down favourite so far. So good, so fresh! I swear it leaves my nostrils feeling minty fresh 🙂
(Doesn’t smell like mint though, mind you)
Also, it’s not sweet, but there’s something sweet to it. Can’t quite describe it.
I won’t say it smells unique or expensive, although it doesn’t smell cheap either, at all, but it’s definitely good and a steal for the price.
People saying this is best in cold weather, I disagree. This is best suited for spring/summer IMO.

I am happy so many people are pleased with Sultan. I hated it and tried t find a role for it in my collection, but it was loud and putrid on me. It was just wrong. I hope my oil was bad or something. A definite bad purchase for me.

an alternative for a fresh -citrusy cedar, and a bit of musk to me..
stays more than 6 hours. I sometimes sprayed in my shirt, and even the next morning, my wife can still smell the scent of this fresh brand…
dont over spray, as initial burst might hit your nose and give u bit dizzy.after 10 minutes..aHa…you will smell good and fresh
Worth to blindbuy and for a gift.

  21. :

Sultan is so, so good…this is not a dupe but it reminds me of a smooth, softer (much softer) Spicebomb. I wear Spicebomb so for me this is unisex…it’s very fresh, spicy, year round staple.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

It is aromatic and warm spicy fragrance. It is more suitable wearing it in cold weather, winter or rainy season because it make you fell warmth.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Starts out with a blast of cedar and juniper which can be a little harsh, but dries down into a great smell thats exotic, smooth, and woody. Definitely for a bit colder weather, but can probably be worn any time of day. Good performance and longevity as well in the oil form.

  24. :

to me it smells like polo Ralph Lauren mixed with fizzy ginger beer

  25. :

Al Rehab is hit and miss, this one is a hit.
The perfume doesn’t change much, as in other oil perfumes. It smells of gentle spices (cardamom and saffron), woods (mild cedar), and earthy fresh citrus (bergamot & maybe juniper). Although saffron is not mentioned in the notes breakdown, I can smell quite strong in the beginning.
Of course I’m not saying that it contains any natural ingredients, but most perfumes out there don’t anyway, which goes against their price tag. Whereas with Al Rehab oils, you know you’re paying for synthetic oils, clones of other perfumes mostly, but that’s more acceptable than the overpriced synthetic mess from designer (± niche) perfumes.
the other 4 Al Rehabs I found to be good purchases are:
    – Aseel
    – Silver
    – Moroccan rose
    – Green tea
Not sure how Sultan will perform in warm weather but it seems close to the skin in winter.
I’ve worn this for the last few days, it’s actually really nice, it’s growing on me.
Update: the more you wear it, the more you love it. Excellent stuff

Another great smell from Al-Rehab. It’s fresh spicy aromatic with the juniper berries but also has a warmth to it with cinnamon/cardamon. More male but as a female I am gladly smelling it on myself.

  27. :

One bottle of the spray costs under 3 dollars. The smell don’t last too long but it’s hella cheap so i use it maybe two or three times a day. this is my go-to perfume at all times

  28. :

Much respect for the people at al rehab .
This is good …perfum..but maybe a bit old..somthing from the begining of the 90’s mixed with somthing modern.
Performance as you can expect is great.
yo get the white musk with a brilliant blending of spices listed above.
it is very recommended and for this price …hell ya ..
    thank you …..enjoy

I have a 6 ml roll on, but actually I’m a little confused assess the perfume, because when I sniff the ball roll on, I found that it smelled unisex, but shortly after application to the skin, it becomes really mnaskulin, at least I do not can imagine a woman with a smell like this, although the projection is weak, because it really smells of wood, and again the impression arabian still deeply felt.
but I will try to continue to study it, considering my case with blanc.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

Got this for for around 1.5$ (oil roll on) and was blown away by the smell and how this scent transforms. You might like it or you might not but this does not smell cheap at all. The opening is ok but the dry down is amazing and extraordinary . Very masculine and spicy in a really good way. The performance is pretty decent. Keeps projecting to an arms length for 4-5 hours at least.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

This smells 100% like the 90s Rexona anti-perspirant roll-on that was available in india.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

I have the oil in a roll-on. I actually ordered Dakar by Al Rehab but this was shipped in error so I’ve given it a try anyway.
Initially ginger is prominent, but more complex. I detect other spices like cardamom and musky sandalwood. It isn’t at all offensive and reminds me of the ambience of a five-star hotel in Dubai. Not a bad memory association at all! For the price (£2 including shipping) you really can’t go wrong!

  33. :

    3 out of 5

Not what i thought it was…from all the al rehab juices i have this is the one that will rotate the least i guess…it s floral and woody but mainly musky. Musk musk and citrus and musk… uni dimensional scent on my skin. Also the weaker i have from this brand. I was very fond on lord, dakar, for men and superman that i love…but this one won t do it for me. I have the 35ml spray and the projection is quite low as well. I wish i could have loved you like your brothers Sultan…

  34. :

When I first smelled this, the overwhelming ginger note in it immediately reminded me of Gucci Envy for Men.
It’s been a few years since since I smelled Envy for Men, but as far as I can remember, this seems very close; perhaps it’s even a copy.

  36. :

I’m a girl and I love wearing this.It almost reminds me of Escentric 01. Even lasts on my fragrance munching super dry skin.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

So,this is interesting. It has almost the same start as Black xs, don’t know for later stages coz I refuse to test the newer Paco colognes. But it smels nice, kinda sweet and sharp. Not for the hot summer days. Maybe summer nights but the colder ones. Longevity and projection are quite good.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

In my perfume collection.. This is the worst so far.. It smells like insecticide… Very pungent… Hurts nose.. Makes me dizzy… Actually it depends on certain person… It does not suits for me.. Sorry for negative comments though… But if you ask me, that is how i respond….

  39. :

    3 out of 5

All I can say is very, very nice! If you enjoy fragrances, then price shouldn’t matter, whether is cost a lot of money or inexpensive! This is a very wonderful fragrance and last a good about of time. I have 2 of them and it hasn’t disappoint me one bit. Hope you go and purchase this? You will not be sad, you will be kind of pleased from the scent.

  40. :

its Amazing difine in two words loving it….
    10/10

  41. :

    4 out of 5

This oil is really nice and spicy. To the person who said it reminds them of Ginger Beer they are SPOT ON! That is exactly what I get from it.. It’s GINGER BEER oil!
After the peppery Ginger Beer BLAST from the opening I start smelling sandalwood and musk but the ginger beer type scent is still strong.
Longevity is amazing because I have the Oil but projection is lacking.
I find most of these Oils have amazing smells, unbeatable longevity, but I wish they projected like EDT’s & EDP’s 🙁 I might just get some Ethyl Alcohol and mix the oils to it so I can make the £2 oil into an EDT or EDP spray.
I am VERY happy with the quality of these Oils, I haven’t tried the spray versions of Al Rehab yet but I am curious about their projection and longevity.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

This is for the oil roll-on. 6ml for $2.95!
One word to describe my first impression – WHOA!
This smells amazing! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my expectations were pretty high based on all the reviews and this being my second al rehab (first was sultan al oud) I knew the quality would be great.. anyway, this blew my expectations out of the water! SMELLS GREAT…musky, woody, fresh, sexy – not going to list notes since you all know them already. Not something I haven’t smelled before but the quality is something you can expect from a very expensive fragrance that cost hundreds of dollars. Let me put it this way, if I paid $300+ for this I would NOT be disappointed, I would actually be very happy. So less than $3 it’s really a no-brainer…this will last you a very long time too since all you need is a dab of al rehab.
    OVERALL: 9/10 all day

  43. :

    3 out of 5

WOOOOW i still can’t believe that i got it for just 5 $ 35 ml bottle. the Price to Quality ratio is amazing, i think this company AL- Rehab will pull down the sale of all those expensive Western Perfume (where you are only paying for the Brand name). Longevity is excellent. it is pretty much understandable that people will think that it is made from low grade Ingredients and things like that, but friends you all must have to clear one thing in mind that almost 90 % of all Perfumes in the market are synthetic. I have extremely sensitive Nose but wearing Sultan i never felt that it is too synthetic or made from low grade Ingredients. So don’t worry about its quality you will see yourself when you buy it.
    Fragrance: 6/10
    Longevity: 7/10
    Price: 100/10

Amazing oil! Really easy to wear, fresh and deep, much better then most of the more expensive perfumes, I’m not really a fresh fragrances type of guy but I love this one and easily one of my favorites spring/summer perfume.
Perfect for spring/summer and some early autumn days, day time, for casual, work and walks.
Although it’s marketed for men, I’m sure most women can pull this of.
Definitely seems much much more expensive then it is, and put to shame most expensive designer perfumes.

This is pure juniper bliss: cedar and bergamot give a sensational boost, and musk kicks in very smoothly. Long lasting, and definitely peculiar. “WHO-HOOOH! I’M HERE TO STAY, AAAAND WE’RE GONNA HAVE FUN!” and no matter what: it WILL stay 😀
I prefer the roll-on oil rather than the spray version: the roll-on has a softer and milder kick-in, and stays on for longer.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

For the price, al rehab oils are pretty damn good! this one, to me, opens like Ginger beer, when you open a bottle & sniff it from the fridge, its like that! drys down a little less spicy but retains the overall feel, its pretty nice though & for the cheap prices blind buys are acceptable
id recommend this along with Saat safa & sondos as the best ive tried

  47. :

I absolutely love this on my husband. The roller ball version seems so complex and rich, smooth and aromatic. Woody and musky, extremely wearable. Love!! One dab is all you need!

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Everything I’ve tried from this brand has a quality that far surpasses the price point. Woods, musk and citrus. Gotta love it! I pair this with the Sultan concentrated oil for a little extra boost. I put this on first thing in the morning and could still smell it at the end of the night. Lasted the whole day, including working out at the gym. 15 hours and was still there. Hard to beat that.

I recently ordered a handful of the Al-Rehab fragrances, having seen them repeatedly cited as exceptional values. I’m inclined to agree with that sentiment – while they are clearly dupes of more expensive and/or more well-known fragrances, most of the Al-Rehab fragrances are surprisingly good given the ridiculously modest prices.
Of the half dozen Al-Rehab frags that I’ve sampled, Sultan is my least favorite. This one just doesn’t work for me. It is dominated by a very screechy, synthetic woody accord that I can’t quite place. With its combination of generic woodiness and spice, it vaguely reminds me of Creed’s Himalaya. I don’t care for that fragrance either – both the Al-Rehab and the Creed are essentially one dimensional. That powerful synthetic woodiness leaves no room for nuance and seems to crush everything in its path.
Still, I’d definitely encourage trying some of the Al-Rehab offerings. I really like both Dakar and Oudy. Given their bargain basement prices, there’s not much risk in blind buying a few.

  51. :

I picked up this one and Zidan, fair to say I am impressed with the quality of Al Rehab’s fragrances, Zidan I love, this one I like. it develops on the skin very nicely, it’s a complex fragrance. Ultimately all I get from this one is Musk, I struggle to detect many of the other notes that other users seem to find. Longevity again is fantastic, it hangs around longer then an unwanted guest at a wedding. Not the mothballs in a wardrobe ‘musk,’ but a much smoother and fresher musk, but apart from the initial few moments when there is a slightly woody/fresh burst it is just musk. Really nice though.

  52. :

Like this fragances Initial notes is woody, fresh and sweet at the same time..i don’t know , what note in the base that smells like tobacco..don’t worry about longevity..it’s oil so you can expect more than 5 hours, and the most important : cheap

Warm, deep, musky, manly, spicy and projects.
If you are looking this scent up and looking for reviews you will not find much that is why am glad to offer my review.
INEXPENSIVE and it does not require much of an application to let those around know that you wear this.
Al Rehab scents, quite a few of them, seem unisex. This one is definitely an evocative, aromatic fragrance that declares masculinity.
I gotta hand it to you, if you are looking this up, then you are an inquisitive individual and open to new and interesting smells!
How can you go wrong, if you feel it is not for you………you only spent a fraction compared to the “designers” and “name brand” offerings out there!

like i said before First of all i’m a eastern man
secondly i’m live right now in same country and the same city who Produced and made this fragrance , in fact between me and al-Rehab company maybe 10 KM Distance.
yes i tried some of fragrance from al-Rehab before years like crystal and i reviewed my story with it .
as a eastern man i saw a lot of reviews for al-Rehab fragrance from western peoples and most of the reviews is so positive it’s seems like they really loved and like al-Rehab fragrance .

Woody from the cedar, but cool and slightly metallic at the same time from the juniper. The tiniest bit spicy too. It’s quite inoffensive and at the same time, slightly different. It definitely needs more heat for more aspects of this attar to develop and come out. So I’ll be testing in the summer!

Another little beauty from Al Rehab.
Very different reviews on this fragrance and I think that has a lot to do with the different application methods. I have the perfume oil and this smells very different if I over-apply it.
To me this starts off very green – think wintergreen which softens slightly over time to reveal a sweetish/musky cedar/sandal wood base. It takes me to a nice green forest. This is a unique masculine fragrance which can be worn all year round. Like most of the Al Rehab’s I’ve tried this has great longevity and moderate sillage.
    Scent : 16/20
    Longevity : 8/10
    Projection : 6/10
    Total : 7.5/10 … Green Woody Goodness.

I have the roll-on oil… was going to give it away but I am glad I tried it again yesterday on a warmer day which made it even more difficult to pin it down, as it seems to bring out more facets of this attar. I am not sure if I can detect the cinnamon but the overall impression is a fresh aromatic woody scent without any major “citrus” elements… Just picked up the T-shirt I was wearing yesterday and without even having to sniff closely my nose picks up a persistent iso e type of scent. Sultan is categorized as a male scent, however if you are the kind of girl who likes woody scents and who’d give Terre d’Hermes a chance you might like Sultan too.

I really enjoy this one. Fantastic on a hot sunny day. On my skin this smells like a really moreish refreshing mix of iso e super and juniper berries. I have the oil version and the smell lasts really well. It’s manly without being old fashined and makes for a refreshing change to the usual hot weather aquatics. Superb value for the price too.

As I live in Dubai, UAE, I have had more of a chance than most to see the Al Rehab fragrances in their local cultural setting. I am altogether aware that the vast majority of people who buy Al Rehab perfumes in the West will have had them supplied from online retailers, but I would like to share with you something about purchasing these fragrances here before I give my short review.
For a start, buying an Al Rehab fragrance in Dubai will mean in all likelihood that you will need to visit the Perfume Souk area in the city near to the famous Gold Souk of Dubai. This is because Al Rehab is not stocked in any of the major or minor retail outlets and – unlike Rasasi, Arabian Oud, Swiss Arabian or the other local brands – does not have an outlet based in a mall. This also means that you will have to take a route through one of the older parts of the city, by the side of the Creek, along past the shops selling all sorts of knick-knacks, past the Asian cyclists carrying stacks of cardboard on the backs of bikes, past the East Africans trading with Afghans, past the shwarma and juice stalls, until you come to the Perfume Souk area. Here you find the Al Rehab shop at the end of a busy, crowded, furiously neon-lit street….
Now when you enter this shop, you will truly wonder how it is that some of these fragrances are so well recognised as being very credible dupes of some of the fragrances from the most admired houses internationally. Creed? Montale?…..Surely not. The Al Rehab shop is staffed by some very friendly elderly local Arab gentlemen. Very nice, and a Salaam Aleikum and a few words of Arabic goes a long way. But yet, the shop. My, my, my….More like a hardware store than a fragrance shop, it is not unusual for your total to be worked out on the back of an envelope and change to be plucked out of wooden drawer. Last time I went there I wondered if I could pick up a hammer and a box of masonry nails while I was at it!…Suffice to say that this is nothing like the image of sparkling, shiny Dubai portrayed around the world. Yet, there is charm in this as well – and most definitely value for money if this is a consideration at all. (As an aside, buying these 6 ml CPO vials costs me 4 UAE dirhams each, about $1.10, ie they are practically giving the stuff away.) So what are their fragrances actually like…..
Al Rehab Sultan is classified as a woody spicy fragrance characterised by very good longevity and modest projection. While I can appreciate facets of this fragrance, on a personal level the cardamom seems to be more dominant than the note votes here suggest. This means that I get associations of Cartier’s Declaration but also Arabic coffee which is often flavoured with this. Oddly, I also get reminders of digestive biscuits! Of course, this may be no bad thing for many, but for me I would say you need to be aware of where this fragrance may take you.
All said, there is some real appreciation for this fragrance out there….and I can truly respect that.

Absolutely love this Al-Rehab fragrance I personally think both male and females can pull this one off. I discovered this house quite by chance and I must say it’s been a wonderful journey. I highly recommend anyone contemplating trying these fragrances out to go for it!!! Please do not think the ingredients are of a poor quality due to the cheap prices, I am addicted and thoroughly enjoy wearing these fragrances.
