Description

Katy Perry presents her new fragrance arriving in Spring 2015, named Spring Reign. The flacon design follows previous editions, Killer Queen, Killer Queen Oh So Sheer and Royal Revolution, but this time it is available in a pale pink color with metallic pink stopper.

The composition is floral-oriental, delicate and fresh, and conveys the feeling of the rebirth of spring and blooming flowers in a lush garden, when you can feel the scents of pink freesia and black currant flowers. Spring in bloom is described in gentle petals of violets which provide a romantic and slightly powdery shade to spring opening. The heart of the composition blooms with May rose flowers, creating a rich bouquet along with gardenia, while Artemisia oil contributes to fruity passions and the fullness of the flowers. The base is created of benzoin, cashmeran and cedarwood oil, leaving a soft, resin-vanilla shade on the skin.

Fragrance Spring Reign will be available in diamond-shaped flacons as 30 ml Eau de Parfum starting from Spring 2015 as a limited edition. The advertising campaign features Katy Perry posing in a spring garden.

a sprakling sharp aldehyde rose that is green but with some sweet fruits but not jammy and a hint of benzoin or labdanum underlying

    Very suprising smell
Somehow i smell banana in this scent
Bubblegum and banana and some flowers
The lasting power is 6 hours
    The silage is normal

This has absolutely nothing in common with “Killer Queen” and Co. I am surprised that this frag belongs to the line.
Fresh roses, green leaves, a couple of violets – no sugar at all. When the scent settles down I get some bitter herbals, gentle floral sweetness and some ozonic notes.
The sillage and longevity are ok for such a light and transparent green floral.
I did not expect such a smell, it was a blind buy and I was expecting probably another variation of “Oh so sheer”, but all in all, I like “Spring Reign” as well:)

This is really pretty and light, a nice, pleasant mood lifting scent. It reminds me a bit of DKNY My Ny even though the only note they share is freesia.
I like it because it is sweet, but not overwhelmingly so.

I’ve decided to write another review as my last one was bit negative. After a long time without wearing this perfume, today I decided to give another chance. And for my surprise this time this fragrance feels completely different from the last time I wore it! I can still sense the floral notes ( although artemisia is the predominant note) Still give that soft powdering feels. The silage was much better as well the lasting power than the last time I wore it. I bought only the 30ml as I was unsure but now I probably would get another bottle as I’ve change my mind.

Florals are not my favorite but since i have the whole Katy perry line except Spring Reign i will buy this, since its almost spring and try wearing this for….Spring! and do a review on my honest opinion.

I bought a 2 bottles of 100ml of this katy perry spring reign! Yes its far different from its first three sister flanker! This is a real floral! If u want a big bouquet of a rose or flower. This one is the scents! i cnt smell the sweetness in this perfume! Its floral and little woody! My sisters love it than the first 3 lines of killer queen.. Its for a woman who wants to be elegant in a important occasion. If u wear this one its like ur carrrying a lot of rose in ur arms. The sillage and longevity is pretty amazing on my skin..it last longer than what i expected. I like this perfume but not love it. Coz if im ganna wear it in a hot summer day. And im about to do some errands.. I feel nausea and headache. Which is my problem when it comes to floral and woody fragrances. But i like it because the scents attracts the other people. Asking me what perfume i am wearing. I dnt find it as a cheap perfume. I feel like its one of a niche perfume who have a good chemistry on my skin.. And about the bottle. I love it!! Rose gold plastic cup and transparent bottle with a pink liquid.. The only problem in the cup or lid is the rust. If its sitting on ur shelves for a long time. U can see a lot of rust in the plastic lid which is i dnt understand why.? The box is beautiful but cheap cardboard like other previous flankers… So when it cokes to the artistry and design of the bottle, box and liquid color. I love it but the scents! I like it. I dnt love it much coz i feel headache and nausea when i wear it to hot summer day. But still. Its a beautiful perfume. I recommend this one to all the oriental floral lover! So if u want a floral perfume?! U better grab this one!

nice rose but the artemisia ruins it for me – too bad. it doesnt blend well with the rest notes

Luscious and feminine floral with soft powdery undertones. Reminds me of a spring garden after the rain. Fresh and appealing.

  10. :

Lovely combination of notes it is very feminine uplifting and delicate smelling- it is powdery fresh floral scent. It is a nice perfume while it lasts, however that is only 15 minutes on my skin and clothes. Hugely disappointing. Probably the worst lasting power ever. It suits the name spring very well, though it is safe and pleasant enough for all year round. Still I couldn’t buy it the lasting power is beyond ridiculous.

Is actually very nice soft flowering smell but just a shame doesn’t last on me and doesn’t seems to have a good silage. I love when I wear a perfume and make people notice ( in a good way). This one doesn’t seems to do anything. Still , for the ones like a very soft fragrance that’s the one. I wouldn’t buy again though.

The one and only floral scents in katy perry’s line. Not fruity. Gourmand or chyper. Its a pure floral notes!which is unique than her other perfumes.i was shock when i first sprayed it. Coz i thought it will b similar to oh so sheer but NO! Its a floral scents.. I love the pink fluid and the transparent bottle with a rose gold lid. I use almost 30 percent of my 100ml. So i bought another 100ml for my extra flanker. It cost me 48$ for 100ml. Its a morning scents. Reminds me of visiting the garden or rose. Rose rose rose. I smell a sampaguita gardeina and artemisia in this perfume also . its kinda airy and cool floral but it makes me headache when i wear it on a hot morning then sitting in the car with aircon.. If u love daisy in marc jacobs line. U will love this one also..

I love this bottle. I got a package that has each of the 4 bottles like this. Spring Reign is the first on I have tried and I love it. I can see myself wearing this for a lovely spring fragrance and enjoying it. I smell freesia and rose so nice.
As it drys down the scent becomes more soapy a soap that my grandmother used to have on her sink. Fresh and clean.

  14. :

    4 out of 5

Spring Reign applies with a soft-but-fresh leafy burst, with a light and short-lived sprinkling of black currant. The fragrance then quickly settles into a uncomplicated rose-lead powdered floral heart.
The base of light woods, airy musk and what seems to me as a very light breeze of vanilla [although I guess this may just be the benzion] develops quickly and bleeds though into the florals, so the fragrance is quite linear.
Spring Reign is rather simple and goes close to the skin quickly and barely lasts five hours, so I wouldn’t pay full price for it as it’s nothing that hasn’t been done many times before. I do recommend testing it and then picking it up when it’s on offer though if you’re looking for a quieter rose fragrance to wear on those days when you don’t want a ‘dressy’ structured fragrance, but still want something that packs a bit more punch then a body spray. I can’t imagine anyone finding it offensive, so it’s also nice to wear if you have personal contact with the public at work.
This is not a “wow” fragrance, but whilst there’s nothing unique about Spring Reign there’s nothing disagreeable about it – I’ve tried every Katy Perry fragrance she’s released, and this is the only one that I could see her wearing.

    Light, Fresh, Floral, Rose, Semi-Sweet
    ~Rose Garden-esque
    Pretty bottle
    Pretty, floaty, light scent
    very casual.
    I like it.
I found myself saying: “I don’t care for it.”
but then i count how many times
over the last few weeks, I put this on
and then thought to myself: “jk I actually love it”

Smells so beautiful. This is the only Katy Perry fragrance I wear other than Purr. This is a sweet and soft floral fragrance. No fruits unless there really is black currant which is like a grape scent. I smell only the slightest grape scent. I smell roses, freesia and gardenia. Rose and gardenia pairing make it very strong and mature like this scent was made for more grown up women who don’t wear body mists but actual perfume. This is also very suited to spring and summer or to climates which are warm all year round like here in Florida. Sweet some would say too sweet or too strong in it’s sweetness but it’s just what I like. I love the bottle design and the name. It makes me visualize a Flower Princess ruling over a kingdom where there are lot of flowers. Cashmere or cashmere wood gives it a warmth and woodsines toward the end. Love that dry down but it’s the flowers that really possess me. This is so enchanting and much better than Killer Queen.

I love this perfume! I’m obsessed with it right now! I didn’t like the Killer Queen and Royal Revolution perfumes (even the bottles were cute) but this Spring Reign perfume, it’s perfect for Summer! The lasting power is not great what-so-ever but for the Summer, it’s really flowery and light 🙂

  18. :

    4 out of 5

I really like this perfume a lot. It is a floral scent, but it is not overly rosy or anything to me. It reminds me initially almost spot-on of a body spray I have by Calgon called Blushing Blossoms. The base notes of this fragrance remind me very much of my Wicked Style Music perfume from Gwen Stefani….Maybe the woody scent that lingers? Love both of these other perfumes, so of course I also really enjoy Spring Reign 🙂 The longevity of Spring Reign is very good as well, so I am happy! It is definitely for spring or summer, and the bottle is very pretty!

This was a disastrous blind buy for me. I only bought it because it was claimed to be limited edition, and it was pink lol. But it just smells like pure roses. Now I’m stuck with a 3.4 oz (100 ml) bottle that I’m never going to use. 🙁
    Thank God I sold this!

  20. :

It smells REALLY nice! It is really floral, but not synthetic, it is really like pure floral with hint of sweetness. A girly spring scent and a soft one.

Besides Killer Queen i think Spring Reign is going to be my next fave in the katy perry scents can’t wait just wish they had full size bottles I only saw it in a four pack gift set at wal wart and khols

I snagged this up when it first came out, and overall I really like this version in the killer queen line, I think it does what the name says and captures the freshness and florals of spring. I definitely get the rose but it’s not an overbearing in your face rose, to be honest the whole perfume is very subtle and I think that’s the point. Spring is a time of renewal and flowers just beginning to pop up and morning dew on the lawn. I think the creators did a great job of translating that into a scent. I think the baby pink color of the liquid helps make the connection that what you’re going to smell is going to be light and delicate. I find it deserving of a thumbs up.

This perfume is incredible! It’s the best perfume I have ever smelt, as soon as I smelt it I just had to have it! It just reminded me of a beautiful spring day with a garden and the grass is green and beautiful with a little lake too. This seems like the perfect picnic perfume to me. If you don’t or haven’t smelt this perfume, you just have to get it or smell it.

Ver fresh, spring fragrance. My country is still in winter but I hope that this fragrance is still in stores in September, who wouldn’t wanna smell like this in springtime?! It smells like flowers and grass it’s so refreshing. The bottle is probably my favorite. It’s funny how it’s called Killer Queen but this pink bottle is fit for a princess!!

  25. :

I really like this scent! Smells like a bouquet of flowers to me. I always keep smelling myself a bit after I apply it because I just like it so much. The bottle and box are very pretty too. I wish it lasted longer though.
They only had the 30 ml bottle here but I wish I had a larger size.

Bad blind buy. 30 ml for 21 euros. Giving it to my baby sister.
    Disappointed.
Royal revolution is a thumbs up. Cozy and interesting .
Killer queen a big no no! The perfumed ashtray phenomenon remains a mystery to me.
    Getting Royal though.

After stalking my Tj maxx to the point where I think the employees are scared of me I have come to the conclusion that my Tj Maxx is as horrible as it always has been and wont be getting this. If anybody has this and doesnt want this let me know I might have something on my swap list 🙂

I also found this is Ross when I was on vaction in Vegas. The 100ml bottle. I bought the 30ml from Ulta when it came out. I live in Seattle, and I haven’t found a 100ml of Spring Reign at Ross ( muiltple stores ) and 2 Tjmaxx stores in Seattle, so it may depend on where you live, if you can find the 100ml.

I typically don’t go for celebrity scents, they almost always are an over powering powdery mess, but while trying to decide on what new scent I wanted as my Mother’s Day gift, I sprayed this and I was blown away by how pretty it is, it’s very floral, I can’t remember the name of this certain type of flower that used to bloom in the fields by where my father used to play soft ball when I was a kid, but it smells very close to that flowers and as soon as I smelled it it instantly brought me back to my childhood 🙂 just so happened that the 30 ml was on a good sale too!! It’s nice, it’s fresh, it’s clean…..very nice spring scent!

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Spring Reign is nice, but I wouldn’t buy it. Although I do love floral scents, this one slightly reminds me of air freshener. I’d go for the original Killer Queen over this one, but the bottle is gorgeous.

I finally had time to try this one today. A major disappointment. I have liked all of the other Killer Queen fragrances, especially Oh So Sheer. But this one is just not nice at all.
A cheap and sharp detergent smell.

@toxicpunkette- That’s awesome that you found it for $20! I don’t have a Ross where I live, but I will definitely check out Marshalls and TJ Maxx because they are similar from what I hear.

I have to say after waiting a while to get my hands on this fragrance I finally got it. I voted I love it on here only because I like it more than I like it. It is a pretty warm floral scent and lasts an average 5-6 hours on my skin. The box is so pretty and stands out so much on my shelf. The bottle is very pretty and looks cute in the collection. Thank god Katy is releasing 2 new fragrance totally different from her others so far. Mad Potion & Mad Love. This gets a 8/10 from me just because of the box. Make the next 2 amazing Katy ! xx

I purchased this perfume from Ulta online, and didn’t know what to expect. I really like this perfume a lot, it’s a nice Spring scent. To be completely honest I didn’t like Killer Queen & I hated Oh So Sheer. So I was nervous to purchase this online, but glad I did. At first spray it does remind me of Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh mixed with pink pepper (not a note) but at first spray, that’s what I get from it. It dries down to a nice fresh Spring scent. This one and Royal Revolution are the only 2 out of the 4 from this collection that I really like & enjoy. This will definitely be my Spring scent and will be getting a lot of use out of it.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

The description above says that this will be available in a 30ml bottle. I was thinking about getting it at Ulta next week, but I googled the perfume and apparently it comes in a 100ml bottle?? I would rather wait and get the full size than spend $40 on 1oz. I’m pretty sure the description is incorrect on the size availability. There are many pictures of the box saying it’s 3.4oz. Just wanted to post this for anyone else that was going to settle for a smaller size.

I dont know why I had such an high expectation from this perfume but Im very dissapointed now, that I finally bought one.
It doesnt seem like an oriental floral to me. More like an floral.
Its a very “fresh-light-airy” kind of perfume. You can certainly smell the rose.
Nothing sophisticated, luxurious, or special. Just a generic rose perfume and to me its quite sintetic too.
The worst from this “Queen” line so far.
It doesnt last very long either. Like 2-3h on my skin.
    4/10

Sniffed it today at store. I was pleasantly surprised – very nice perfume! Soft, sweet yet fresh. Perfect for spring and summer.
EDIT: ordered it online yesterday. Woop-woop!

  43. :

    3 out of 5

Disappointing. Starts off kinda sweet like bubblegum or candy which is odd since it’s a floral, then all I smell is a generic, sweet rose. This might be good for someone who likes a “floral” scent that doesn’t stand out but it’s definitely nothing I would buy for myself.

When is this available in the UK?
Or is this only available in a foreign Market?
Because I love Pink, I love Killer Queen and adore Royal Revolution and the fact that somebody likened it to So Elixir Purple has just furthered my interest in this fragrance, and I am interested in testing a fragrance with Artemesia in it.
Please tell me this is coming to the UK soon?
Edit: Can someone in the USA ask when it is going to be released in the UK? Otherwise she may well have called Fall Reign at this rate!

This is officially sold in Finland. I tried today and I would have to agree that it is different from the previous creations of Katy Perry, but it is not something special. It is a quite generic floral fragrance for summer. I actually liked the scent, it is just very usual. I can distinct the black currant, the rose and the gardenia. And by the way it is a very light floral perfume that it doesn’t have anything oriental. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

Does anyone know if or when this is to be launched in the UK? I need it in my Katy Perry queen collection!

  50. :

    4 out of 5

Have been sniffing through the whole range but this ‘pink diamond’ is the only one that I actually like out of the quartet. The scent is fresh, delicately floral and I’d describe it as a safe choice for everyday use at the office. Poor sillage and lasting power though, sprayed it onto my clothes and the frag did vanish within an hour..which is such a bummer. Nice scent but not worth spending my dough because of that.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

As another reviewer wrote, this is not like Katy Perry’s previous range.
This is a light spring floral, quite generic, a little pretty with nothing particular to distinguish it from other generic florals. Low sillage and longevity on me. I have other more exciting or distinctive florals in my collection. I don’t need this one.

  52. :

    4 out of 5

This is very different to all the other styles from Katy Perry. Its very sharp floral, a little screechy and non discript, its a melange of what you would recognise as Freesia i suppose. t detect a little sour fruit in there but it strongly has the typical Cashmerean base and artificial sweetner note. Sadly not very exciting at all, but overtly synthetic and typical cheap produced scent. Its clearly meant to be a dside money maker, crowd pleasing floral, but it comes off as a cheaper Marc Jacobs Daisy.

  53. :

I do not like cashmeran and patchouli first fragrance.
I’m curious about this new release.

So I’ve had this fragrance for about a week and a half, only a couple of days after the very first picture of this fragrance surfaced. To this date this fragrance hasn’t been officially announced, the only way people are aware of its existence is due to people in Australia purchasing it from either My Beauty Spot or select few Chemist Warehouse stores and then posting pictures online. Now I must say that this entire campaigne feels a little lazy. The bottle is just the exact same bottle as Oh So Sheer but this time it is a pink liquid instead of a purple fluid. The box, unlike the Royal Revolution box is very plain and simplistic. And instead of having a proper Photoshoot they just decided to create a computor generated painting. But none the less it definately captures the exact imagery that was intended, a beautiful fresh clean floral spring! Now the scent is on a whole nother level in terms of capturing the imagery intended for this fragrance. All I can really say is that it is an amazing beautiful scent smelling of simplistic fresh flowers! I would recommend this to anybody this spring!

  55. :

and wonder might be next one she will launch is with a green color, oohh amazing can’t wait if this come true next, lol.

I don’t care for blackcurrant but I’ll have a go anyway because the other notes sound ok. Her stuff may be sugary but not it’s not bad: Some better than others – I like the first two a lot and the bottles are always fun.
