This is a beautiful, clean, sweet green fragrance that’s as healing as it is uplifting. With the bright yellow blooms of the linden, richly fragrant and restorative, and calming cool lavender, Spirit should be valued for its genteel tactile quality as much as its scent. A beautiful liquid floral note, the lotus, blooms through the ever sweet green honeysuckle and melds the entire fragrance into a melange of softly supple sweetness. Blue lotus has a long history of usage in Ancient Egypt. Here in Spirit, I have a chance to encounter this extremely rare absolute within a harmonious context of nectarous floralcy. My first impression is one of brightness. I have a vision of dappled sunlight. The sharp hesperidic linden blossom shines through the delicate translucence of verdant blue lotus. This opening is uplifting, brings a smile to my face, and makes everything, well, brighter. Later in the stages of drydown, the deep yellow notes of honeysuckle dominates together with a subtle grounding effect from Kashmiri lavender.
This is very soft, feminine, and channels the high priestess. I’ve been gifted with a generous sample of Spirit by Teone after ordering another one of her perfume, Batavia. This line continues to amaze me with its creations. It’s like inspiration meets fecundity of imagination, and parallel worlds are rendered in scent-scape.
