An oriental fragrance since its inception.
Smoking Lounge scares in the opening, a set of combining spices, and are hard and sharp, but get along well despite make it complex.
Bitter, sweet and hot it can be said therefore that these spices assemble this chord, cinnamon and cardamom longer appear on my nose, and this combination gives me a delicious boozy sensation, perhaps the drink like whiskey.
Soon appears clove, with a slight DNA of the house, and tobacco in the heart, this transition makes this scent with characteristics of works such as Tobacco Vanille and Chergui, has a short similarity and what looks like a chocolate powder on top of this and gets drier medium sweet smoky scent.
In the base around is sweeter, vanilla gives faces and makes it through gourmand, which referred me to a delicious gingerbread, my favorite so far.

Dress up with Smoking Lounge is making sure of what is to wear soon, and no future regrets, that is, launch yourself on an aromatic costume that the existence of your exhale is beyond the imaginable or even the before known. It is to be convinced feel a fresh aroma which runs every incessant clatter clockwise. Again Amberfig hit squarely in this creation that through the imagination transports us to a rustic place where the presence of dense and imposing odors, quality, are highly dominant.
Like most Amberfigs, the output Smoking Lounge is something very difficult to face because right away it gives a bitter kick, in which case comes from Bitter Almonds, which slightly comes to remember the same odor of the famous medicine Elixir Paregoric, It may sound crazy, but the resemblance is so great. The Cardamom is very present after a few minutes after opening, and its combination with Cinnamon wood, reminds ingredients Massala being processed for flavoring some exotic Indian dish. The Anis also gives an abused in output, however, the bitter touch gave a calming of the fatigue he always causes when present in some fragrance, was show, amazing!
The middle of the fragrance is marked by a delicious combination of an incense Carnation-of-India that exudes an eccentric sense of power and glory, for kilometers, on the junction of a tanned leather reminiscent of the luxury car seat, with a nuances kind of sweetened by Cocoa note that to my nostrils present gourmand, recalling the rustic cuisine of the time of our grandparents. At the same step, this phase here, among all his righteous combination leads us to a clean, organized, where the ability to relax and reflect are merely inviting parameters.
In his concluding remarks is that I could see the presence of tobacco, while thin smoke with his serious scent has the power to smoke the environment of wide and appreciative way. I confess I was afraid Smoking Lounge remember on your record only aromatic notes of smoke and little else beyond that, however, I was greatly surprised to experience the purpose of this fragrance that makes a difference among many carrying “big names” and little subjectivity in their structures. Rounding the end of Smoking Lounge we notice a slight woody Cedar with dry Vetiver and big surprise, Vanilla Docinha, gourmand, she arrives remind Rocklets sweets, but in a subtle way and nothing cloying. Amberfig in season and out of season is a house which has and will have my respect for her as unpolluted creations, this is fact!

The fifth creation of the fine crafted niche collection from the brazilian Amberfig is somehow a continuation of themes already worked without being a repetition itself of the aromas. The second 2015 launch (at the present moment of this review it wasn’t available yet), it was inspired by a page of The Kit Runner book, that describes a smooking room from where a tobacco and cinnamon aroma emanates. David here expands this idea, flavoring the tobacco with what seems to be a mixture of vanilla, almonds, cardamom cocoa and spices. Due the almonds and vanilla, at first this seems similar to Café Massoia, but bit by bit it gains a a drier spicy shape with smoky tobacco and incense nuances. When it gets into the drydown, the aroma becomes quite different, getting more woody and dry, a mixture of vetiver and cedar that makes its base one of the most masculine one from the entire line. Café Massoia and Smoking Lounge complement each other very well, they seem like creations made like a pair, ideas united from some notes that goes into directions very diferent. Both seems also like heirs of Oriental Noir, which makes me thonk that Davis is progressively contruction on each new launch a kind of olfactive signature, a very personal way to combine and make recurrent certain aromas. Another beautiful work of a new brand that has been showing very promising on what it does.

The story behind this creation is beautiful. The perfumer, David Magalhães, was inspired by the book “The Kite Runner”, when he read the part that says: “Upstairs was my bedroom, Baba’s room, and his study, also known as “the smoking room,” which perpetually smelled of tobacco and cinnamon. Baba and his friends reclined on black leather chairs there after Ali had served dinner”. At first, David thought of calling this perfume Le Fumoir, but decided to call it Smoking Lounge.
I received this perfume, firsthand, since its official launch will only occur next year (2015) and I am very happy to be able to talk about this fragrance that brings, in its official composition, notes of star anise, cardamom, bitter almonds and cinnamon, in the output. Then, roll smoke, tobacco, leather, clove and cocoa absolute, in the heart. Virginian cedar, vanilla and vetiver, in the base.
I feel that this scent, into the Amberfig line, is a continuation of a story begun by Café Massoïa. Both work with indoor environments and filled with books, besides sharing notes in common, such as cinnamon, cocoa absolute and almonds, for example.
But this fragrance is more mysterious than the previous one. Here, it is possible to imagine that there is any alcoholic element, as soon as the liquid reaches the skin. I thought in rum or some kind of Bourbon (whiskey). The star anise is extremely pungent, giving to the output a very peculiar touch. In addition, bitter almonds also appear. However, this time, the aromatic content is another, slightly sweet, reminding me of cherries in syrup, mixed with cinnamon. The bitter almonds are so strong, that the maximum intake for an adult may not exceed 20 units. More than that can be lethal!
The evolution continues, but I feel it pretty discreet, almost linear, with a little aroma of the clove and a dry touch, which I think is the leather note. So, I finally come where my nose led me, initially: tobacco. It is this element that gives the aroma with nuances of whiskey. Delicious!
Finally, the vanilla comes in and makes the fragrance even more beautiful, when joins the vetiver and its smoky facets, instead of earthy facets.
A final tip submitted by creator: beware of the application over the clothes, because the liquid can stain the fabric.
I also want to leave a tip: beware of the application on the skin, because its heady aroma can be addictive!
Ironies aside, another beautiful national work, which deserves international prominence.
