After looking in the Forum for “wine-like smelling scents”, I have found some posts from fellow fragranticans suggesting the original Sì.
Now, I was casually window shopping in the center of my city and happened to have my usual “sniff stroll” in a shopping center that carries all the trendiest and newest both mainstream and some niche fragrances.
I suddently saw this bottle, and thinking it was the original Sì and not a flanker, I ran to the bottle and immediatly tried it! The question that was wandering trough my head in that moment was “does this scent really reminds me of wine?”
And my answer was, very funny, a whispered “Sì”, since I am Italian. Then, at a closer inspection, I realized this was a flanker. But, oh boy, how beautiful, sensual and delightful is this perfume. It’s of course very sweet (the sugary gourmand trend is still dominating the industry). But this is the most precious, sweetest rose wine, absolutely incredible.
Too bad I can’t afford many designer scents with my student allowance.

A rosier and more powdery version of the original. I think this will appeal to pretty much the same audience as the original.
This starts out with a strong rose-cassis blend with a mandarin and freesia undertone. Within half an hour it transitions into a powdery patchouli-vanilla with fruity undertones from the cassis. The rose is definitely there, but noticeably weaker. I think the iris provides much of the powdery-ness even though its a bit hard to pick it out.
I’d say that this lasts for a long time. Usually a full day. It is also pretty strong, so it doesn’t really go unnoticed even when lightly sprayed.
As usual, Armani has created a quality perfume. The notes are realistic and the scent stays on pretty reliably. However, neither the original nor this is for me. The patchouli is too strong, and the combination of vanilla and cassis gets almost cloying.
I’d say its worth a try if you usually like patchouli-fruit or vanilla-fruit scents.

Basically, this is patchouli slightly powdery rose with vanilla. Rose version of the original
Don’t get me wrong, I like it but its a really a very near clone to 1)Rose Goldea which I tried recently and 2) La Perla Un Rosa(?) from La Perla.

Absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. It’s the liquid embodiment of bold, but graceful femininity. It’s a woman who knows how to harness her power and is so confident in her own skin that even the softness of the scent demands awe. It’s everything a rose should be from start to finish. My new signature scent.

Armani Si Rose Signature is a perfume you can’t describe by writing a full essay. For me, it’s simply the best from the whole line and I will tell you why.
The original is so well known, very easy to be recognized with a great sillage & lasting power, feminine and pleasant to all ‘noses’. To be very honest I don’t want to wear ‘signature’ perfumes, from vintage-like Chanel No.5 to modern-like La vie est belle-Lancome although nowdays you can hardly find good perfumes.
Rose Signature does it’s tricks because it’s simply a yummy rose with the golden signature of Armani’s Si behind it. That says all. It has it’s own character but at the same time it’s a player who respects fairplay. Like a mother walking behind her child in case it falls. It’s not that sickly sweet, more delicate, less strong and to end with, have you ever seen a perfume’s juice like this? Like a velvety milky rose lotion. I just hope they will not discontinue it as there are so many editions.

At first there’s a hint of rose then the original sì takes over i was hoping for the rose to last more

To me this version of SI is a lot more wearable. It is less sweet and more soapy like a rose soap.
The SI-DNA is identifiable. Nice and not too strong.

I was deciding between the Si Rose or the original Si. Put them both on each wrist and smelled them through the day. Si Rose starts of absolutely lovely. After a few hours it was gone and the Si original was still there. That changed after a shower. Si original dissapeared and I could smell the Si Rose again?!(maybe cause i spritsed Si Rose 3 times and Si once, its just not as strong) But sadly it turned into just roses. I dont smell anything other than roses. I think roses can add something beautiful to a fragrance. But as a main note, just smelling that, its not worth my money. With the original Si you can actually smell everything they put into the bottle and they all last and smell oh so creamy. I think its perfect for winter. Did it survive a shower, no. But does it have to? Plus one spray equals 3 sprays of Si Rose. You need to use a lot of Si Rose for it to become very clear.
Sorry Si Rose Signature, but you missed a chance to become a lighter yet still beautiful version of Armani Si

Finally, first Si perfume that I actually enjoy enough to purchase! It’s less sweet than the original scent and the rose nicely blends in with the other notes… I don’t know why, but it has a similar vibe as old Miss Dior Cherie: sweet, but not too much, girly, but at the same time very classy and elegant.
Silage is moderate and (on my skin at least) it’s quite long-lasting. I say yes to this Si! 🙂

I am a huge fan of Si, and Rose signature isnt that much different, it is more floral, lighter, not as winterish gourmand as the original, but nicely done…although it is sweet, it isnt like candy Flowerbomb sweet, the rose is there, gives it a nice elegant vibe..trying a sample, not sure though I need to have it..pleasant, but as I have the original, dont feel this one would be significant, especially as longevity isn’t so great.

I don’t know what is it about those Si fragrances. At first I loved the original Si. And now I hate everything that is Si. Reminds me of rotten fruits and all of the flankers have that smell.
This is over my dislike border. I can’t believe I loved it before and dreamed of my own bottle.
Anyway, I would describe it as a rose scent. A very sweet one, there’s probably some vanilla and patchouli.
    And rotten fruits.

I am not a big fan of rose fragrances, but this one is pleasant. It is a comforting fruity rose, a bit old school and elegant, without being too serious or pretentious. It reminds me of Nude by Rihanna, but this one is softer.
It is definitely made to please, there is nothing to dislike on it, but i have no problem with it. No every perfume needs to make a statement.
Would i buy it? no, but it is a good perfume, a safe gift and if you like floral fruity fragrances on the more classy side, it is worth trying.
I would recommend it for someone who likes fruity and floral fragrances but wants to update her tastes into something more mature.
If i had to describe this perfume in images i would say it is a walk on a sunny afternoon in the countryside.

This perfume left me confused. On my fair skin all I could smell for most of the time I was wearing it was lollypop candy or bubblegum soda with rose lurking in the background. VERY sweet and very “teenage”. I would expect such a scent from a “celebrity” perfume but not from Giorgio Armani. I guess it might be the combination of black currant and vanilla that together on my skin develop into such a sweet and elementary scent. Or rather not “develop”, just sit there. The longevity (sadly for me) is good, I sprayed it about lunchtime and it was still there when I was taking shower in the evening.
EDIT: even more confused. I washed it off in the body but looks like it stayed in my hair and I could still smell it very lightly on my pillow in the morning and I have to admit I rather liked the dry down… Weird kind of powdery iris and a bit of warm orange… Changing from no to maybe:)

Smell more mandarin, fruity notes, red berries black currant than rose.
Remember me some variations of Flora by Gucci.

Sweet, but less so than the original. I do enjoy the idea of Sì. But I could never actually get on with the offerings so far despite the variations. This one is not far from the parfum and toilette. However it is less nose burning sweet and more elegant. It’s a toned down eau de parfum with added rose. Not powdery stale lipstick rose. But sweet dewy spring like garden rose. It’s quite lovely. A bit girly due to the fruityness and sweetness but also more grown up due to the rose. This could be the SÌ I say yes to.

Just out of curiosity I went to my local perfume store and they already had this newbie!
It starts off with roses, a lot of roses! Then within the time the rose note fades a little bit and I could smell the original “Si” base, but not too heavy on vanilla though. Black currant plays its role well here, gives some sourness and freshness. Sometimes it’s more pronounced, sometimes less.
I find it a fresher, rosy version of the original, in the dry down you can tell they come from the same family. Is it a masterpiece? Unfortunately not, but it’s a nice springtime, rose scent.

At the beginning, rose was the only note I could smell, and it goes on and on for at least 30 minutes. It doesn’t ring a bell of the original Si EDP whatsoever… but with time, as it develops, it becomes more sophisticated and definitely turns out as a younger sister of Si. However, I can imagine that those who love the original EDP might not be fans of this new scent.

Smelt this in duty free yesterday. I didnt think much to it at the time, was too similar to the original which i wasnt keen on. But ive just come back to it and its so delicately beautiful. Almost like champagne. Thumbs up from me!
Couldn’t get this outta my head… I now own this treasure!

This variation of “Si” is rather delicate but sophisticated. Armani managed to mix a velvet, non-sweet rose with the original sweet combo to create a new, interesting but unfortunately not a very long-lasting piece of art.
I’d recommend this scent to those perfume lovers, who found the original Si and its followers too strong and too sweet but generally liked the idea. This one is more mature, refrained and delicate.

Very sweet, but not as sickly sweet as the most of the Si line. At first I could smell a lot of blackcurrant, but then the nice whiff of rose and creamy vanilla has arrived. It’s truly yummy, gourmand like, and quite strong, so better for cold season.
Bottle looks better in the picture than in reality, but it’s very nice anyway.
Update: After second test I must admit that it’s a bit too sweet for me.

Although this sounds nice, I’m still waiting for something more clean and powdery from this house. Didn’t we have enough of sweet vanilla fruity flankers already?
