Description

Creed has created their oud fragrance as a response to the many requests they received from clients, but they have adapted the scent to the style of their house. Wood, leather, marble and gold—the elements of a royal Persian palace—inspired this luxurious mix of the Persian and Parisian.

Royal Oud is a stylish and warm fougere fragrance with a beautiful kaleidoscope of woody, aromatic green and spicy nuances. The note of oud is an integral part of the composition, playing its role in balanced equilibrium with other notes.

Top notes include lemon, pink berry and bergamot. The middle notes consist of cedar, galbanum and angelic root. Base notes are Regal Indian oud, sandalwood and Tonkin musk. Royal Oud was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Creed Sixth Generation.

I had a bottle of Royal Oud (millesime) about 2 years ago. Absolutely loved it. I went to buy one recently (the Hague in the Netherlands) and noticed some differences.
The packaging was different and the label did not contain the word “millesime”.
i sprayed some on the back of my hand and within 10-15 mins it had all but disappeared. My previous bottle would give 12 hours minimum…but this felt like a new formulation.
Has anyone had the same experience recently?
FYI i bought italian leather by memo instead. I had it before and is my favourite

I think the listing of Sandalwood and Oud is redundant here.
“Oud” by it’s terminology in Iran, is the fragrant incense of woods. Which can be the popular Agarwood or any other type of wood. Most perfumes use Agarwood incense as their oud, such as Tom Ford Oud Wood and Amouage Jubilation XXV. Here, the oud used isn’t Agarwood, but Sandalwood incense. Which is the same incense that is used in Lost Cherry.
This can be why many people say they don’t smell “Oud”. Perhaps because their perception of Oud is Agarwood incense. However, the less conventional Sandalwood incense is still a popular and respected type of Oud in the middle east and is very present in this fragrance.
All I need to say about the actual scent is:
Imagine the rugged masculinity of Clive Christian X, mixed with the statement-making boldness of Tobacco Vanille, the “lightness” of Acqua di Gio Profumo, and the contemporary touch of Aventus.

Creed’s best offering IMO. Old library books that turn into a warm and inviting new world once one of those great stories is opened and dove into. The dry down is a masters blend of clean musk radiating off vintage woods of a high quality. Held together by an oud note that is integrated so seamlessly that it confuses many to believe it is not there. I assure you it is and the fragrance is all the better because of it. Used as glue to join the individual notes into one, instead of the brash sore thumb that it can be portrayed to be if used in too high of concentrations. The combination of very fresh citruses and pepper along with vintage woods and galbanum, I believe, are what combine to create a photo realistic mental image of walking into what could be the Great Library of Alexandria*. *
*This would be if it hadn’t been burned down by the tyrants and their slaves who have been trying to erase true human history since the Moon first appeared in our sky.

Royal Oud comes with a Double-Face composition! In my nose is a mix of wet wood and spicy pepper! It looks like a hookah! Hot and enveloping steam! I like it!

Finest spicy sweet unlit cigar and honey scotch not to mention deserts as complimentary for a royal bad ass.. the compliments just sit there.. and whatever is possible.. respect fills the air as admirers linger… all clean.. no smoke…. comforting and therapeutic in the best way.. reminds me of Vegas with my old jewelry boss for jewelry conventions.
    The Great Gatsby’s signature scent

My favorite Creed perfume by far. What a beautiful fall to winter fragrance..
After an initial burst of zesty citrus and pepper it sattles down and continues on as a dark woody spicy gem. I do get a very fine and refined touch of Oud which is really a pleasent change from all those heavy oriental oud based monster.
A polished sophisticated fragrance for a formal wear. It is definitely not a club or party fragrance. Mostly an office, formal meeting or highend restaurant dinner wear to go with your suite and tie.
2 to 4 puffs will comfortably carry you through the event.

Silly me for thinking this would be an oud fragrance. How on earth would I get that idea. Well well, not a bad fragrance despite the lack of oud. Reminds me of … Spicebomb… But not as spicy…Or bomby

Ok. I just picked up a bottle because I love the way it smells so much. Smokey and masculine. Gentlemen stuff in my opinion.
However, the performance does not match the retail price. I get a strong opening but it quickly settles and whispers on the clothes and skin for a few hours. Then bye bye, reapply!
Great scent but come on with this performance.

I dont know why people upvote oud in this fragrance. There is not even the slightest amount of noticable oud in this. This is an Cedarwood/sandal wood fragrance with a peppery opening and with some slight floral/green mid notes.
How would i decribe this fragrance? Modern classic or classy in a modern way.
    Very good fragrance.

I bought a bottle since this seems to be the only Creed fragrance I like, so far.
I am not thrilled, I must confess.
I like the top notes and the base notes more than the middle ones.
I think it’s got too much cedar and sandalwood, which give the fragrance a warm feeling but a bit too old school and deja-vu.
I expect this to work better during colder months, and so I’ll wait and will wear it more often when it gets colder.
The good side is that it lasts a lot without being a sillage bomb, for that would make it smell definitely vulgar.
I have already made up my mind about not buying a second bottle, nonetheless.

This is the best fragrance for ever to me…it smells pink pepper on top note and a little oud…this is warm spicy and and they say royal oud is for about persian history…yeah,i am an iranian man and i say to you this is true….i can watch persian history and persian kings in royal lifes at 2500 years ago when i smell royal oud…this is my first perfume choice for ever.

    Hello GrayJacques,
I have a new 100ml bottle, and find it the same. It is that peaty, Royal Cedar, cleanest “Oud” fragrance I have smelled. The hint of warm off-spice tying things together must be the Oud, and I really like how restrained this feels.
Mostly, this is an Angelica fragrance in my opinion, on a rich cedar base. My comparatives would be Spice and Wood, and Malle’s French Lover.
    I love it!
    From the brand:
    Top note: Lemon, pinkberries, bergamot
Middle note: Cedar, Galbanum, Angelica roots
Base note: Sandalwood, oud, Tonkin musk

WOW. Smells classier than anything other from Creed. Maybe except of GIT. I wear it only with suits. All year around. I do not think it is winter or fall fragrance only. Perfect signature for CEO. Enough said.

One could say the wearer of this fragrance exouds (not a spelling error) confidence both strongly and openly. It’s the fragrance I most enjoy wearing when it’s time to get down to business. Creed Royal Oud was my first Western oud fragrance when it was released some years ago, and I absolutely love this fragrance. Moreover, I was thrilled at how well Creed took oud and blended it masterfully with woody and musky notes…just a terrifically enjoyable, and wearable, fragrance.
To me, Royal Oud strikes a perfect balance between capturing the rich, powerful essence of oud and showcasing it in a splendid fragrance with plenty of spit ‘n polish. I don’t know how it’s possible, but Royal Oud has managed to be remain one of my favorite Creed fragrances, year-in and year-out. Go figure!
Just to play devil’s advocate, I own and have sampled hundreds of other more ‘oudy’ fragrances. While I do love my full-flavored more pungent oud perfumes, Royal Oud strikes a perfect balance of how oud should be used in a fragrance when the notes of oud gets dressed to the nines and is sipping a smooth-as-silk bottle of aged scotch.
Performance it solid in that it lasts 9-10 hours and projects quite nicely (forcefully moderate, yet well-behaved) for 4-6 hours on my skin. Overall, one of the best gentleman’s scents ever released by Creed. Not a blind buy, but a definite try.

    Cedar/peppery/citrus opening (decreasing order).
In de mid you get a cedar/floral scent with some citrus sourness left from the citrus.
In the drydown after a few hours the cedar and floral note goes away and youre left with a sandalwood drydown which reminds me of bois du portugals sandalwood drydown.
Spice and wood had a better cedar note, but the drydown on that is iso e super dominant.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

Perhaps the easiest oud fragrance to wear in history and I do not smell oud here in the slightest
Overall I get a woody cedar base, a nice aromatic with spices and something akin to spice and wood , but is more harmonious and easier to love
Overall this does smell somewhat elegant and refined and could be worth the money for you
I think this is for 30 plus men and for me is not worth the money personally
    Try it for yourself

For a Creed offering, this is available relatively cheaply, which is a good thing.
Royal Oud is a very pleasant soft cinnamon, cedar, and powder scent. One of my favorites from Creed.

I have reviewed this scent before so this is pretty much an update. My husband wore this when went to the snow fields at Perisher and this scent really works well in cold temperatures!! The oud is really crisp and spicy that carries well and makes this scent sexy and masculine that I want oud scents to smell like. Definitely works well as a winter fragrance!

  23. :

Fresh and very spicy woody fragrance. Mainly cedarwood and there is a very light touch of oud.
The opening is not that pleasant but it develops to an elegant and luxurious scent.
It is nice and well done but Not creeds best. There are tons of better alternatives.

  24. :

    Beautiful….
The Oud doesn’t overpower but adds intoxicating warmth and depth to an interesting bouquet of citrus and green notes. Royal Oud is a great scent for evening dinner or formal occasions and will remain noticeable as a skin scent the next morning.

This fragrance shock! The smell of business people needs a very cold weather in order to highlight its distinctive fragrance, but the undervalued performance is never suitable for those who want the strong oud smell favored by the Middle East
Longevity : 7/10 in cool weather 6 hours
Projection :6.5 /10 cool weather max 1 hour and be soo close to skin
If you want to be business man smell just for 2 hours buy it

@jose Marcos why dont you try reviewing the fragrance instead of taking petty shots at other reviews.
What a shame you think money rules our brains, while I also belive a Ferrari Essance Oud smells luxurious and rich. What a compliment for a $25 frag on Fragrancenet.
BUT it’s alright. I wear it. Nobody knows what it is when it’s on my neck, could be $60 could be $600 yet thoes are common words I hear describe it.

WARNING: Does not smell like Hanae Mori for HiM
HiM: Smells more spicy, with a punch of cinnamon, amber and tonka bean. The Cinnamon is very pronounced with a touch of citrus bitter sweet (possibly burgamont) and light bit of Cedar. its ba great scent but from beginning to end it constantly reminds me of a more refined V&R Spice Bomb
Royal Oud: Does NOT have that strong cinnamon, amber, tonka fragrance at all… its got a stronger woody cedar & Sandalwood base with sharp Pink pepper & bergamont bitter sweet and some would argue Tobacco
(i do get that accord) The whole scent from beginning to end smells luxurious, creamy and screams masculinity.
And i should know…i own both Frags, after i read that review i sprayed 1 on each wrist and went to work. 3 hours later and here i am.
Wrist A: smells like Cinnamon, spice and everything Nice.
Wrist B: smells like a creamy luxurious woody, tobacco aroma blended with pink pepper, bergamont & Musk.

While shopping I had a daft moment and got it. When I got home I had sprayed it and instantly regretted paying the money. I didn’t get any wood or anything. All I got was a sweet sugary accord.
I may have had one of them inconsistent creed batches or it just didn’t take to my skin. I cut my losses and swapped it on Facebook for Bleu de channel

My husband bought the 250ml splash bottle online and when he opened the package, the scent penetrated the whole box!! He decanted the perfume into a small atomiser so that my husband can spray it. Very wearable oud with the opening of pepper, cedar and green notes and then the dry down of the powdery sandalwood and that hint of citrus that comes out after. The fragrance of the initial spray does come on strong so spray sparingly. I feel this is a more masculine fragrance even though it is unisex. Less is more for this scent and unfortunately the price is on the expensive side, as most Creed fragrances are. Definitely don’t blind buy this fragrance and test it on your arm and leave it for a day to get a true scent of this gem.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

One of the most versatile Oud-based fragrances out there – you can wear this one all-seasons and it’s signature scent worthy.
On the scale of barnyard smell to medicinal smell when it comes to Oud fragrances, this one veers towards the medicinal side but not so much as to make it inappropriate for work or other close encounter scenarios.
Although not listed as a note here, there is a nice incense that comes through as the scent dries down but it never gets too smokey – the green/herbal + citrus notes keep this oud scent with just enough lightness/freshness to be good for warm weather.

    REVIEW – CREED’S ROYAL OUD
This bastard (yes that’s how I choose to describe it) came in a few days ago. Took me a while to even make my mind to open the packaging and sniff this, that’s the kind of swagger this had right from the get go.
To begin with, it’s a quality scent. In terms of the fragrance itself, not going about the performance yet. It’s well made. The blending the transformation and the emotion. It’s worth it when I look at it romantically. Just what a niche should be about, emotions not just a mixture of different materials put together and this certainly ticks that box very well.
PACKAGING – Intimidating. The name, the class, tha aura. You must have seen so many Creeds but royal oud for me has something going on about it. 10/10 It’s a Creed after all.
BOTTLE – Typical Creed bottle. Like it or not, these are actually as good as they come. Thick solid base and glass over all. A proud flacon in my wardrobe.
SCENT – Now the difficult part. It’s so difficult to understand this scent. Primarily becauof it’s name and it’s classification.
Royal Oud – Very minimal hints of oud if any.
It’s classified as a scent which has Oud swinging throughout the composition. Wrong. It’s the other way around. It’s the spices that surround the composition. From top to bottom.
TOP – Very firm and green thick Galbanum note was the first accord to strike my nose. Very green. Almost herbal/medicinal. Cool minty Angelica Root and satisfying Cedar accompany the Galbanum as powdery spicyness of Pink Peppers kick in. Very less citrus.
MIDDLE – It gets more citrusy here in the middle. The spices hold their ground nicely but in the background. The green thick Galbanum has dried down a little paving way for the musk to kick in the middle.
The scent really starts to bloom here now. The freshness from Lemon/Bergamot,the powderyness of Pink Peppers and Musk take this scent to the peak of it’s olfactory genius.
It’s when the emotion kicks is. It’s when you start to feel why this scent is more than just a collection of raw materials. You start to picture wisdom, powder, medieval times, the mafia and their ways.
DRYDOWN – Nothing much changes here from the middle. The musk slows down, but the spices don’t. The greeniness of this scent is almost gone now. The bitterness from the Galbanum does remain though backed by the powderyness of Pink Berry who like a well fought soldier is out of ammo now.
This is where you can actually appreciate the gentleness of sandalwood combined so very well with musk.
OVERALL SCORE – 8.5/10 for the scent
PERFORMANCE – Nothing surprising here. Creed is a house not reknown for its beast mode scents as we all know. This one is another let down when it comes to the performance.
Longetivity – 4-5 Hours on skin
Projection – One hour to 90 minutes
    COMPLIMENT FACTOR – 9/10
This is a compliment beast. This doesn’t even suit me properly because neither do I wear suits all the time nor do i ooze out wisom or confidence. Still my girlfriend loves this on me. My friends have adored this one asking me what this scent is. They sure get intimated when I tell them the price though!
USAGE – Let’s get this straight. This is a sort of scent which you have to earn. If you believe in yourself, everything you’ve learnt about life, your wisdom then you can go and own this scent.
It’s very hard to wear this scent if you’re not above 30, don’t dress up properly with a button down shirt, flannel coat, leather boot and belt,a car of your own coupled with some wayfarer’s and a bag with your favorite book in it.
A captain of a ship might wear it in earlier times. This scent is all about wisdom, leadership and self belief.
This is a manly scent no questions asked. Nothing unisex about it imo. Only suitable for Spring and Winters imo. Not suitable for summers or fall. One can weae it in fall but the greeniness of the scent may feel out of place.
    Age Group – 30+ Men
    Weather – Spring / Winters

A very dry and peppery oud. Extremely pleasing especially from a slight distance.

  40. :

smells way better from a distance, the floral qualities shine. Up close it is a little harsh, then again most fougeres are harsh up close. Bear in mind most people will smell you from a distance, this will be quality.

I can detect tobacco in it. In fact, if you take the mint from Amouage Memoir Man, it might smell a lot like Royal Oud. So, both of them are great tobacco fragrances.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

Some reviewer not too far below said this should be called “Royal Tobacco”. I 100 % agree with that. There is no detectable Oud in this frag. It’s a complex, woody, TOBACCO frag. I absolutely love it. This would be my “you’re gonna be on a desert island and you can only have one frag for the rest of your life frag” frag. Every time I put it on I get favorable responses from others. It’s a mature, complex frag for men over 30, maybe well over 30. It’ll make you smell like you spent the day in a cigar store, and I’m totally down with that. Almost (but not quite) my signature frag. It’s on par with Aventus and I think of them as my winter vs. summer frags, for the most part. Nothing wrong with wearing RO in the summer, though. I give this an A+ but I want to be clear, this is NOT an oud frag, it is a tobacco/spice frag.

Royal Oud is a lovely fragrance, that reminds me of Versace Dreamer and Pure Havanne (without the heavy sugary notes). My nose currently only picks up the notes of tobacco and powder when I smell my skin.
The scent that projects off my skins smells significantly more complex than what I smell on my skin, and is truly beautiful and masculine.
I should state that I am not getting any remote notes of oud — which is somewhat of a bummer, but at the same time okay, since the cologne’s overall smell is very nice to my nose. I also purchased a 120ml bottle for $275USD at a retailer, so I don’t feel like I got duped. :-p

I can’t wait to bust out the sample I have of this! The snow has finally dropped, the temps are low and cold, and that’s where this one will shine. Purely masculine. Not much sweetness (or any at all) which I like.
You’ll feel like a million bucks wearing this one!
    UPDATE:
I personally feel like this scent as a whole, is a representation of a sort of make shift oud that Creed beautifully created. All the spices and woods together almost give the impression of a very luxurious oud. While there is not much oud, as most have said, this scent is absolutely beautiful, and comes off in a creamy, spicy woody scent. Excellent for winter and fall. Amazing longevity, and sillage. To be honest, this is how I feel Spice & Wood should of smelt.
    UPDATE 2: 3/7/18
I have a 15ml decant now on it’s way! Very excited!
    Bottle worthy? Absol-oud-ley!

Great masterfully blended perfume by Creed. Citrusy, musky with light nose friendly oud. Very long lasting and very versatile and smells as expensive as it is. I don’t know anyone that does not love this fragrance. It brings loads of compliments and it is not over popular, so the chances of someone else in your party is not going to be wearing it. The chances are, you will be the best smelling person the the room.
I am so glad that I have this I my collection & it always will be. When I run out, I will restock.

This and Penhaligon’s Endymion are easily my colder weather favourites.
Lightly spicy is the only way I can describe this. I can’t really place the notes (I certainly don’t get much Oud)!
What I can say, though, is this is absolutely lovely. Smooth and soothing yet with fantastic longevity, this is an absolute masterpiece.
I have designated this as my Christmas day scent as I can’t think of a scent that makes me feel so dressed up and special.
Love, Love, Love this stuff. The only other Creed scent I feel is worth the price is MI which I rate just as highly for warm weather.

    Royal, but so familiar.
Smelling this fragrance for the first time, after so many experiments with more exotic scents, is like finding your soul mate. You have the feeling that you have found exactly what you need, although it has always been so close to you.
In my opinion, it is an exceptional creation that goes from the archetype of the men wood based fragrances, which adds a fine touch of sweetness and … oudy accord.
Indeed, oud is a minor player in the composition – the main quality is, by far, the quality without any compromise of the ingredients – I just do not think I have smelled so far a perfume that is even closer to Royal Oud regarding natural ingredients.
Both the fact that it was targeted as a unisex perfume and “Royal Oud” name is due exclusively to the marketing strategy (the main ingredient is … cedar, but that is… great).
I love it very much and, frankly, I think I could wear this perfume every day for a very long time, but the price is too high, even regarded to the quality of the ingredients.
Longevity is excellent and the projection is moderate, meaning it is just perfect from this point of view too.
    Fragrance 10/10

If you dislike wearing oud, you will love this one, because it doesn’t smell like any oud I’ve ever smelled. In fact, it doesn’t smell like oud, period.
It’s not a “Western interpretation” of an oud. It’s a scent that is oud-free.
It doesn’t smell like a Montale oud or a Mancera oud.
It doesn’t smell like a Francis Kurkdjian oud.
It doesn’t smell like a Middle Eastern oud from Rasasi or Al Haramain or Arabian Oud or ASAQ or Ajmal or Lattafa or Armaf.
It doesn’t smell like a French oud like Dior Leather Oud, Dior Oud Ispahan, Lancome L’autre Oud, Aramis Calligraphy, Etienne Aigner No1 Oud, Lancome Oud Bouquet, Ferrari Essence Oud or Givenchy Eaudemoiselle Bois de Oud.
It doesn’t even smell like a mass market Western designer oud like Scentstory 24 Gold Oud Edition.
I don’t know whether this scent should be called “Royal,” but it definitely shouldn’t be called “Oud.” Maybe Royal Citrus or Royal Powder, or even Royal Musk or Royal Green. But not Royal Oud.

  53. :

This is one of the finer ouds out there. Not pungent and overbearing, but rather very elegant.
Pricey.but for a spot on wearable oud, it is tops.

Smells pretty different to most stuff i have laid my nose on, it’s kind of woody, with a slight distant smokey sweetness. I can imagine this would work well with formal clothes, as has been mentioned many times. Not really to my taste for me to own a bottle but i can appreciate it.

Great fragrance! Dry down better than the opening. Opening is very smoky. You have to try it on not just smell the test strip at the store. Regal, more of a formal fragrance, suit or tux to me. Also a cooler weather scent may be too much for hot days. Lasts long but doesn’t project far.
Interested in hearing if anyone has Layered this with a molecule 04 and what was the outcome. Layering Creed MI with Molecule 01 is a great mix on me to increase longevity and projection.

I had two compliments in one day when wearing this. The opening is a peppery blast with musky undertones. After about an hour, the cedar and other notes start to come through. The oud is hardly noticeable, I’m not sure why they would call it “Royal Oud.” Even though the oud and musk are synthetic, it has been expertly blended into a crisp, masculine fragrance.

Aventus is alright…Royal oud is what you bring when you want to scream class… This is sexy, mature and confident…The “I’m successful now fragrance.” This is not some sweet baby stuff…this is for men and women who has finally discovered themselves and goals in life. If you feel like I feel about this beauty, congratulations! you are in the league of the few.
By Far the Best Creed for me…
I’m not worried about projection, silage or nothing… When you come to me you’re not just going to smell it, you’ll feel my royalty.

    Farkedilirlik: 6
    Koku Güzelliği: 9
    Fiyat/performans: 4
    Puan: 6,5 (Bütçeniz varsa denenebilir.)

Ok so I’ve never had a turnaround of opinion on a fragrance like this before. I tried Royal Oud for the first time in the summer of this year, and it did nothing for me. It was extremely light to the point of SMW or MI.. it seemed like just a bland woody scent that lasted half an hour on me. Fast forward to November, I tried this today and wow.. just wow.. completely different scent. It smelt so fresh and clean, the cedar is amazing and crisp. It also went absolute beast mode.. which is very strange for my skin and Creeds (even Aventus), I had so many people at work asking me what I was wearing it was ridiculous. I even had the same people coming to me in the afternoon/evening telling me they could still smell it and how much the scent had developed and changed since the morning.. I then went on a date after work and she even complimented me on how great I smelled. This was 12 hours after application! Although it must be said that I couldnt smell it on myself after a couple of hours but it was definitely still there. I’m usually put off by oud scents.., most carry that overbearing Arab floral vibe, but with this one I couldnt really pick up the oud, it was just beautiful fresh wood scent. I’ve learnt my lesson.. test, test and test before you judge a scent.

Another great one from Creed. If you are expecting an animalic Oud, this one is not for you. I really like the opening with frsh wood and very mild earthy Oud. Very masculine and formal, definitely not for the young crowd. Performance is excellent. Silage is moderate. Full bottle worthy.

Nice scent. Getting much smoother and better in the drydown.

Not for boys, this is definitely for the confident and successful man. One of the best Oud blends my nose has come across. There’s Cedar that’s blended beautifully with a touch of sweetness and spice. It tones the Oud down so it’s not overpowering, therefore creating a distinct scent all on its own. Once the decants gone I would consider getting more, if not a full bottle.
    Best worn for business encounters!

This smells like it was made with thousand-dollar bills. It reminds me of a 1920’s millionaire businessman riding in a limousine, the smell of rich wood from his cedar cabinet wafting off his pressed velvet midnight-blue dinner jacket. This is for people who want to smell like The Great Gatsby.
The longevity of this scent is difficult to rate because when the base notes finally take over after about 4 hours, all that remains is a sweet, mellow amber similar to the final stages of Bvlgari Man in Black and other such tonka bean concoctions.
Galbanum, cedar, pepper, and angelica play the major role in creating the essence of this fragrance, which could be described as a “mahogany-cigar-box” accord. Once that evaporates, alas, Royal Oud is no more.
    Scent: 10/10
    Sillage: arm’s length
    Longevity: 4-8 hours
    Variation: summer (sweet/savoury), winter (powdery)

Cedar, sandalwood, and oud are the main players in that order. Extremely masculine but in a modern way. Compliment getter for sure. Versatile as well. I’m not exactly sure why people say this is the ultimate formal scent.
