Description

“The name Rosuerrier derives from French words, ’rose’ and ‘guerrier’ (rose and warrior). This atypical rose scent is in honour of the historical journey of a great woman, Jeanne d’Arc (Joan of Arc); the martyr, the saint and a legendary military leader Rosuerrier composed of exotic spice, incense and Vigorous Rose, a hybrid of 3 types of roses which suits both men and women. Each notes in this scent is a narrative representation of Jeanne d’Arc’s life. The roses are from her childhood when she had a vision of Archangel Michael in her father’s garden. Spices and wood represent her great leadership when she served the French’s military. Lastly, incense, represent her canonisation as saint by Pope Benedict XV.” – a note from the brand.

Rosuerrier by Pryn Parfum is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Rosuerrier was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Prin Lomros. The fragrance features damask rose, english rose, cumin, rose de mai, jasmine, aldehydes, elemi, guaiac wood, nutmeg, black and pink pepper, caraway, labdanum, civet, castoreum, atlas cedar, cashmeran, oakmoss, incense, sandalwood and amber.

Wow! This is seriously good juice for rose and spice lovers. Move over Portrait of a Lady! You have some serious competition.
The cumin and carroway dominate alongside the rose who is of course queen here. The incense is pretty strong but the spices are a nose ahead. I gradually pick out the oakmoss. The animalic notes remain low key until far down the timeline but never dominate. The resinous Elemi softens some potentially strong notes.
It’s much stronger than the current reformulated bottles of Portrait of a Lady. If you don’t mind a load of spice then definitely check out this stunner first.
Impressive longevity and sillage. It’s perfectly unisex.

A romantic and spicy rose. A complex, mystical and voluptuous fragranc … I really like this perfume, perfectly unisex, suitable for cold days. The notes listed are many but surely the rose is predominant, even the incense is very present… evocative and very beautiful!

A strong fresh rose opening….followed by a spicy kind of incense mixed after after drydown. This was a blind buy for me and I am very pleased, it is excellent with quality notes. I have other rose fragrances like Amourage Lyric Man, but this one blows that out of the water IMO. Very well blended and I see why this one was nominated for an award.

    Oakmoss roses.
It’s a spicy slightly earthy roses with soft roses blended with black pepper. It has cumin, civet, aldehydes, nutmeg, elemi, jasmines, & sandalwood.
It’s a nice cold roses blend.

I brought this perfume last month when I was in Bangkok. I have to agree with Farang that the incense is quite prominent, I do noticed it on my skin as well.

This is quite a beautiful fragrance. Rose dominates on top supported by other notes. Not much animalic or spicy despite these notes being listed. I don’t know if it contains incense, but this seems quite prominent on my skin. It turns a bit soapy on my skin and at times powdery and waxy – like candle wax.
A very nice and long lasting fragrance; feminine not unisex in my opinion.
