If you’re into rosy scents, and if you can still get your hands on a bottle of this beauty – I suggest you go for it.
Not your usual powdery rose, here is a green, blooming fragrance, dewy and airy.
This is rose made happy and light, and I must say it smells less complicated than it seems, somehow in a good way.
Longevity is fair and sillage is light.

The first time I tried this, I was unimpressed. It smelt so green to me, like a white rose bud that has yet to bloom, nestled amidst the bushes.
This beauty dazzles with heat, so take note and test on your skin or take the paper tester into the sun in order to appreciate it.
In the presence of heat, there is a strong note of airy rose, pear and the backdrop of grassiness.
L’Occitane is very good at making such airy, floral scents, I must say.

I tried this fragrance lately and really enjoyed it. Not the usual dusty old rose smell, this one is light and fresh and has a lovely green freshness as well. Perfect for hot summer days and for women who love floral but don’t want to smell dated and out of fashion. Very uplifting and almost has a citrus zing to it with a twist of green stalk. I am adding this to my list of “must haves”.

I just recently purchased this perfume on a trip to an outlet mall, and at first, I was hesitant. I love L’Occitane products but have never actually owned any. But upon entering the botique, I was bombarded with a beautiful scent of roses. I saw that Rose Des Champs was what I was smelling and I had to test it. I spritzedd some on a card and I knew that it’s what I really had been looking for in a scent for a long time. At first glimpse, this scent is a typical, fresh and young rose scent. Done to death? I think not, because, it acquires this depth that has yet to be executed. In the bottle it’s heady and green, on the skin it’s a much different story. It’s light and grassy on top, but underneath it all it’s this almost sexy and alluring rose with a rich quality that the cedar and tonka bean really bring to it. I absolutely recommend this scent to ANYONE who loves the smell of roses, and even if you don’t, give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Perfect for a spring morning… Infact that’s just what it smells like! Warm spring sun on dewy morning grass with rosebushes awakening. Green, fresh, floral, wet, not cold.. Nor that warm.

I love this scent (the body gel). This is a beautiful, warm rose scent. It smells so fresh and really does remind me of standing in the middle of a green field of roses. It smells “Victorian” and applying it makes me feel like royalty! There is sweet cedar in it so it smells warm and even comforting. Loccitane offered this as limited edition but I see it offered on QVC.com at $25 for a duo with the rose 4 reines hand cream!! Please buy so they don’t discontinue such a beautiful, pastoral fragrance!! So many compliments when wearing this!!!!

I went into the store to buy something else they did not have, and thought I liked this. It is very fresh and almost soapy on me.
It smells lighter and sort of sweet after many hours, but I have this enormous headache from it right now. I think I may have used too much though.
Edit: now that I am no longer overwhelmed from too much perfume, I would have to say it is just very floral. Not that sweet, not heavy, sort of fresh. I tend to like sweeter scents though, so it might be sweet for people who do not like them.

Fresh, and very very citrusy! dewy and slightly damp and green. Try before you buy, it smells heavenly on others but only lemon on me.
