This review is for Creation-R EDP, also known as Risque EDP.
Like all Roja Dove fragrances, it is hard for me to pick out all of the individual notes. Roja does a fantastic job in creating very well blended and balanced scents. One day when I grow up and hit the lottery (which I have been saying for decades now) I will own most of the RD line. There has been a lot of bashing on the cost being an arm, a leg and a kidney or two. While that puts it out of most people’s price range, if you compare the quality of his stuff to the quality of other scents out there, the cost is justified IF you can afford a sample or two and wear them on special occasions, or take my idea and hit the lottery so you can wear them every day…
I purchased a small sample to try this on my skin and I am glad I did.
Risque has an incense and Myrrh heavy opening with underpinnings of wood and peach buried deep in the scent. Closing my eyes I am a small boy sitting in church. After a few moments the germanium joins the chorus and the notes sing in perfect harmony. At this point I lose the ability to pick out individual notes, but the harmony is deliriously beautiful to my nose.
I get great projection and longevity on my skin. I do not spray fragrances on my clothes, I only spray it on my skin. This morning I picked up the sweater I was wearing the day I sample Creation-R and I can still smell it on my sweater 5 days later. Impressive!
Although marketed to men, I can see a strong woman pulling this one off. This can be worn in formal or upscale / trendy attire.
Bottom line: If you enjoy complex scents or other Roja Dove scent, you should try this one. If you are on a really tight budget you should pass. While the sample is not too expensive, the bottles are and if you love the sample you may be stuck between rent and Roja….

Roja Parfum Risque (Parfum version) for Men.Talk about elegance. Top class. What a fragrance. I have no words to describe how beautiful this is. Signature worthy scent for summers. Beats any chypre I have ever tested. This is vintage perfumery speaking. That experience speaks through this fragrance. Sparkling Bergamot, damp oakmoss, powdery fine lavender, sweetness of cardamoms laced with the rooty vetiver, finely powdered cedar and the BEST use of Tonka beans in the drydown. I am hooked. 10/10. Lasts an easy 8 to 10 hours with great projection for the first 3 to 4. Pure elegance. Guys please try it out. It will transform through short periods of transitional brilliance. Blown away.

This is a decent fragrance but the utterly irrational price puts it out of my list. It starts with a citrusy blast followed by a blend of chypres / fougères. In a literary way I would say this: imagine you go in a forest after it rained (first 45 minutes after the fragrance opening) you get the notes of oakmoss, pine, fougeres and fallen tree branches that lay in the rain water among decaying leaves. After the first hour, you get resinous accents, myrrh and incense as if you decided to start a fire in the forest to warm yourself up. The strong and pungent incense/myrrh notes in the dry-down makes this perfume a heavy-to-wear type of fragrance and a quite sober one at that. This is a frag that I would totally avoid for dinner dates or fun nights out. I would wear this to a bereavement or a church meeting.
Quick Review Note: I did not get any peach notes, the cedar wood note listed should be replaced with pine, fougeres. Did not notice a lot of pepper, perhaps in the beginning. The dry-down is just incense and myrrh nothing else (could not detect any tonka, vetiver or labdanum).
    Scent: 6/10
    Longevity: 10/10
    Sillage: 6/10

Edit: only one Risqué thing about this fragrance is wasting your money on it. Jokes aside the dry down is really disappointing, you literally smell like church myrrh ointment. Nothing wrong with that but I doubt this is the result you are aiming for when applying fragrance. Til’ next time…

This reminds me of an old silky red cedar wood box I found when I was a small kid rummaging around in some junk. The smell of it left a huge impression on me and is somehow buried deep in the formative layers of my mind. I’ve never found a perfume that comes close to the smell of that box until I came across this perfume, so that’s pretty cool!

Im not good enough to describe a perfume all i can tell it’s
Very very high quality but very very piney as Arabian night mentioned … no innovation tho the ingredient are very special

On my skin this is very piney. In fact I smelled like a damn Christmas tree for the first hour, which I suppose was appropriate as I ambled around town to do my Christmas shopping.
There’s a fresh, sweet aromatic accord and tinges of something fruity in the background, but to be honest, I’m having a hard time picking out individual notes. Peach is not something that sprung to mind at all, nor do I particularly get much lavender or citrus. The sweet, spicy aspect is more of a blur. It’s all about the wood notes, the foresty pine and cedar, the ashen oakmoass, that tarry labdanum. Despite this, it’s not particularly heavy, in fact it smells quite desiccated and refined, but the focus on cedar actually makes it rather boring for me.
After 2 hours it starts to smell like a more typical mens cologne you might buy for less than a quarter of the price of “Risque”, so all things considered, I’m not blown away.

Similar note breakdown with Bergamot Extrait. Maybe the reason Bergamot Extrait has been discontinued. Great scent.
