Mandarina Duck Pink is in the Air arrives on the market in 2013 as a fragrance full of fantasy and optimism. Butterflies and hearts have evolved from the first pink fragrance Cute Pink, and are transferred in new form. This is a gentler and more subtle pink fragrance with a gentle touch of gold.
Perfume Mandarina Duck Pink is in the Air is signed by perfume Sylvie Fisher (Takasago) and now offers a chypre-floral-fruity composition highlighted by romance, optimism and emotions. Top notes incorporate a colorful fruity cocktail, energy explosion and dynamics. The opening is joyful, created of pineapple, tangerine and black currant. The heart encompasses a transparent and romantic blend of water lily, jasmine and freesia, the petals of which are sprinkle with velvety peach zest. Base notes add fascinating white musk introducing calmness and sensual trail enhanced with sandalwood and vetiver.
The fragrance is available in pink flacons with butterflies as 50ml Eau de Toilette.

Haven’t smelled it yet; I will buy some for my wife so that I can write a review. However…
…I just had to comment on how much it (the liquid) looks like “Johan B Beaute”. And coincidentally, the notes are EXTREMELY similar with the exception of a few notes–oddly enough–that are all found in “Johan B Beaute d’Orient”. Here’s the “Pink” pyramid and which notes are in common with the Beaute and BdO frags:
TOP: tangerine (from Beaute), pineapple (from Beaute d’Orient), black currant (from Beaute)
MIDDLE: water lily (from Beaute), jasmine (from Beaute), freesia (from Beaute), peach (from Beaute d’Orient)
BASE: white musk(from Beaute), sandalwood (from Beaute d’Orient), vetiver
Could MD have picked out the best parts of the highly acclaimed Beaute and the equally touted Beaute d’Orient from cheapo fragmaker Johan B and combined them into a pricier clone? Aren’t knock-offs supposed to be cheaper than the originals?
We shall see…by the way, I didn’t leave any ratings, or comments on sillage, or best-time-to-wear, etc. since my wife doesn’t have it yet. Those ratings up there are not mine. I just wanted to be the first one to do a “what, what?!” double-take at what looks to be a well known house copying a lesser-known but quality house.
