Description

Sarah Horowitz Parfums’s Perfect Perfumes line features thirteen signature fragrances that were created to meet the demand for both nature identical florals and new interpretations of classic favorites.

Perfect Vanilla is a sumptuous, mouthwatering celebration of one of the fragrance realm’s best-known aphrodisiacs. A rich and textured collection of five vanillas from around the world made decadently inviting by hints of amber and blood orange, its evolution on the skin is at once familiar and mysterious. Perfect Vanilla was launched in 1998.

I Don’t like this vanilla perhaps because of the amber. I’m going through a vanilla obsession time, so I’m trying a few at the moment and this is not one I want in my perfume wardrobe.

This smells like a generic vanilla candle you could find at the Dollar Store. Not something I want to smell like. There really are no other notes to be found other than the cheap vanilla. This should be a really inexpensive fragrance – but it’s not.
I had to scrub it off. My husband (who normally loves vanilla) was getting annoyed with it & said I smell cheap. I agree.

It’s a light, fresh vanilla, sweet but not sticky, but as it dries down it disagrees with my chemistry and becomes dusty on me.

Here’s my review for the Perfect Vanilla Pure Oil.
Perfect Vanilla is straight up summer dessert. Two hands with dripping orange vanilla ice cream pops, with a tiny dish of pastel candy-coated jordan almonds on the side. It is tangy, powdery, sweet, creamy and tenacious. It has amazing longevity and wears pretty close to the skin. A beautiful summery comfort scent! I’m going to wear it to bed and dream about the best vacation I never had.

Thank you Sarah Horowitz Parfums, for the lovely samples.
Perfect Vanilla opens with a strong amber-saturated vanilla, a powerful orange/yellow flower scented from orange sherbet, and a centrally heated, confined interior space with the faintest, almost undetectable trace of lemon disinfectant, buried under the dense vanilla/sherbet atmosphere. I attribute this to the blood orange note. A natural smelling blood orange is a very hard thing to do. Without the sour bitterness, it’s a creamsicle. If you try to add the tartness, you can end up with something that clashes with the sweetness.
This vanilla is warm and complex, but it is not subtle. It doesnt scream in the way designer vanilla frosting candy cake fragrances do, but in it’s own very unique way, this vanilla spends most of its time shoving me instead of embracing me. It is not cloying, but it’s also not quite comforting, though after a while it does take on a somewhat appealing spiciness.
Perfect Vanilla is a tough one to figure out. The creamsicle aspect of it is my favorite part, but the multifaceted composition of this fragrance is sort of like a middle school bully.
She’s tall enough to be a model though she has the shoulders of a quarterback, and she applies makeup while sitting at her desk during class as if she were in the bathroom at a nightclub. You always do what she says you should, but immediately after, you look at your actions in disbelief, promising yourself that next time you’ll just ignore her.
You forgive her because you know she’s confused and human, trying perhaps too hastily to form a unique persona.
One day not so far into the future, you find out that she has not only grown up into a warm and kindhearted mother, but that she has also lost her vision, so you go to visit her at the seeing-eye dog training facility, and give her a big, warm, strong, and slightly awkward vanilla hug.

A grown up vanilla!Smoky and tart at first whiff, the
blood orange gives the vanilla a fresh crispness.Did
I mention the vanilla? There are five kinds of this
dreamy creamy blend mixed with an amber base for a long lasting expression of sophisticated good taste!
Suitable for a man or woman.I also detect the faint hint
of tobacco and cognac. There are no floral or fruity notes to cloud the true vanilla lover experience!
I imagine an attractive well dressed couple in a smoky
night club, cool jazz plays in background, the evening
is full of promise, as they start their night out on
the town.A smoldering sexy vanilla scent indeed!

For me this opens with blood orange and soft vanilla. It kind of reminds of a dreamsicle, but not in a childish way, but a creamy and tart combination. As it settles I get vanilla and amber with the orange still there providing a nice contrast. For me the final is creamy vanilla, spicy amber quietly in the backround, orange for tartness and what must be the tobacco adding a bit of earthiness. It just kind of halo’s around me not being obtrusive, but has nice sillage. The fragrance never gets sweet it stays beautiful and creamy. A very subtle fragrance, not overt or in your face and not your daughters sugary vanilla. Very well done.

All I get is Musk. I have to try really hard to smell the vanilla in it. The orange never showed up.
I find it similar to White Musk by Body shop. Nice, but not impressive

    Sugarpuff vanilla? Absolutely no.
This scent is hard to describe.
This is an adult version of the note Vanilla. Sensuous (I barely never use that word!), warm and soft. It’s like being a little kid who snuggles in their granny’s lap. I could imagine someone who chooses to wear Chloé (Chloé edP) to wear Perfect Vanilla, because it’s innocent and classy. It’s a kind and welcoming scent. Recommended for the warm and uncondemning women.

Very much VANILLA, but not in the girly, sweet way.
After spraying, you get the fresh, bitter-sweet blood orange, and then the vanilla with amber and tobacco lingers on for the whole day. Very sexy, very warm and very soft. I just love it!
