Description

Paradise for women came in 2003. It was composed by David Apel who created a real exotic explosion in the top notes. Tropical fruits passionately dance with mouthwatering peach in the top, which lead to the floral heart composed of jasmine, gardenia, rose… the base caresses with orchid vanilla, sandal wood and cashmere musk. It comes as 30ml perfume extrait, 20ml and 100ml EDP with fragrant matching body care products.

It makes a match to a fragrance for men with the same name.

When I had this I enjoyed it and wore from time to time. Sadly, it ended up turning on me and smelled bad so I threw it out. Thinking of getting this again, but I fear it doesn’t age well. (I store all my fumes properly). Anyone have an old bottle that still smells good? Want to know if this is possible before I order.

This was my first experience with the pencil shaving smell that seems to come up from time to time in fragrances. It is another fragrance that is pleasant, but for the pencil shavings.

Something about this fragrance is very familiar but somehow distinct. The scent reminds me of a woman I can’t remember. It’s too new of a fragrance to have been worn by a woman from my childhood.
Paradise opens with a jarring hairspray chemical vibe but quickly turns into smooth, semi-sweet, and almost milky fragrance. It’s not very tropical or conjuring up images of Paradise, but it’s lovely none-the-less. It’s very reminiscent of a body lotion that I can’t recall the name.
No fruits or a girly sweetness. Just a smooth and green fragrance. Nothing I go crazy over, but I can certainly see how someone else might adore this. It has a certain charm with its drydown. Completely unisex.

Picked this up as blind buy at Marshall’a over a decade ago (along with a gift set of Gucci Eau de Parfum but that’s another amazing story!!) and will wear it maybe once every six months when I’m wanting to step out of my comfort zone. The lotion has finally gone “off” but the perfume is still as sticky-sweet on me as it ever was. This honestly smells better on my clothes than it does on my skin (good ol’ body chemistry!) and I like the unique bottle and color. My fave Sung fragrance is still the original!

To me this is good for outdoor days in the summer, picnics in the Spring. It’s quite grassy/outdoorsy, but also sweet

I have not worn this often, but this time it remainds me of Lancome’s Miracle. I decided to wear it because I wanted to wear a green floral today, but I think I should have gone with Vent Vert or even Cabotine. I think this is going on my do not wear list. I am going to try layering some Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia with it to see if that helps.

Very chemical smelling with a sickly, cloying undertone. And an overload of artificial, scratchy “cashmere” musk or woods I just don’t want to smell all day.
The only fume I ever chucked in the trash.

Very green start, but mild and pleasant, then creeps in an undeclared aquatic note that I find quite irritating. It disappears shortly, leaving only a trace of ozonic freshness. Not sweet at all on me, I wish I got tropic fruit. Even in parfum concentration Paradise is suitable for daywear, to the office, hospital, you name it. Lacks individuality, but can be a wonderful “to go” scent in case when you don’t know what to wear (and it’s inexpensive too – a value for money).

I got a strong peppery vibe from this when I first put it on. I’m not getting any fruitiness at all.

After the fleeting top notes’ fruitiness all I smell is sandal. It may be what others call pencil shavings. I don’t smell cedar. And santal is something that can definitively be associated with paradise.
P.S. Upon release it was a lot fruitier (pink guava like).

Upon first spray,i’m totally picking up the pencil shaving scent that the reviewer below described.
Its a nice green scent that is non offensive and its easy to wear unless you can’t get past the top smelling like pencil shavings.
I don’t pick up on the tropical vibe of this perfume at all but instead this fragrance seems like a fresh green musky rose scent.
I’ve never smelled another perfume thus far that smelled the same as this perfume which is a plus in my books.
I enjoy Alfred Sung fragrances because he is creative with his scents and had a wide range of smells:)
I would lean towards wearing this one in the springtime and in the day. It could also work for summer as well.
It would definitely be a good perfume to wear to work.
It last much longer if sprayed on the clothes instead of the skin.
    If you haven’t already,check it out 🙂
    Its priced great 🙂

All I smell is pencil shavings in this. I thouhgt it contained cedarwood, but don’t see it listed. I don’t understand the “paradise” name as I smell nothing tropical about it. Not for me.

This is a lovely light airy floral fragrance. My husband loves it. It wears well and is not overpowering for work.

I like the tropical fruit in this one. This note often is very ‘in-your-face-sweet’ in many perfumes but here it is surprisingly soft and it doesn’t smell like sticky, over-sugared fruit juice with lemon. The sweetness is nicely moderated by the floral notes, vanilla and musk. This combo really softens this fragrance and gives it this airy, ‘fluffy’ feel on my skin.
It’s quite weird but I can smell nearly all the notes right from the beginning and it doesn’t really change much throughout the day. Well, ‘day’ is a bit of an overstatement because it definitely doesn’t last long and I have to reapply after about 2 hours. Once I do that and my skin absorbs it, it seems to stay on for another 5 hours or so, although it obviously loses some of the intensity again.
It’s a very nice, soft floral fruity fragrance and I don’t find it ‘green’ at all. Pretty day time scent that you can pull off all year round. Personally I find it a bit too sweet though and I am particularly unlikely to reach for this one during the warmer months so it is available for an EU swap if anyone is interested.

This is just a WONDERFUL perfume! Gorgeous! It is indeed tropical paradise with a strong floral heart. Fruity and strong floral. GORGEOUS!

Nice daytime scent but uncomplicated and unexciting

I got this as a freebie sample from another perfume order. It seemed nice enough. I put some on. It promptly ignored me. I poured some more on. A-ha! A hint of green. Then poof – it was gone again. I drenched my hand in it, got to smell some insipid potion & then it promtly left again. I still don’t know exactly what it smells like.
This stuff reminds me of those ‘vitamin waters’ which deliver a lot of water & a little undertone of something indistinguishable & ultimately unimportant.

very pleasant green scent ideal for daytime. In my opinion,it’s more green than fruity, I don’t detect any fruits here not even in the top note. The musk scent in the drydown is very prominent in my opinion. A nice perfume for the summer evenings too

Arrived yesterday and i tried on today. I was surprised before when i read in one revew ofit that smells little bit like the wood of the pencil,, found it very strange for a perfume that has the name Paradise,, but there it was,, very strong in the beginning too!!! no fruits in it as far as i could smell,, but about half an hour later settled into an average, ok musky oily freshy smell. Would not rave about it, but i dont feel i lost that much money cause i bought it at a good price!

This is a pleasant enough scent but it would never be a signature scent for me. This smells identical to Midnight Obsession, spicy in the dry down. I have a full bottle that just sits and waits for god only know what in my collection of more than I’ll ever know what to do with. I have alot of this going on with my perfumes……….hummmm: being a woman, its a tough job but somebody’s got to do it!

Very disappointing!Very boring! This is anything else but not a green, paradise or tropical scent. To me it has a strong pencil smell which I do not dislike but I would not have epected it in this scent. If anyone wants it let me know. I´ll be glad to get rid of it.

Свежичък, има и една приятна сладост в него, прилича на Boss woman. Харесва ми за топлите дни. Струва ми се не много траен.

I LOVE THIS PERFUME…I BOUGHT SEVERAL ALFRED SUNG PERFUMES ON A WHIM AND I FOUND THAT THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE…VERY GREEN, SWEET AND MILKY FRAGRANCE. I COULD JUST LIVE IN THIS. I IMAGINE SITTING IN A FIELD IN THE JUNGLE SURROUNDED BY EXOTIC FLOWERS AND BEING CARESSED BY A SWEET TROPICAL BREEZE.

Impressive on the first few sprays, very invigorating and elegant. Too bad the scent doesnt last long on me.
But I have to say it could be unisex coz the green notes remind me of “just-out-of the bath” feeling and could give you an energizing yet relaxing fix.

this fragrance smells really good and it’s very fruity clean and fresh it’s a really good romantic fragrance but the smells kinda reminds me of another fragrance

I had this one for a while and I had to give it up. Mislead by the reviews for “fresh”, I was expecting something really juicy and … well, fresh.
Truth is perfume opens up rather sweet, with the fruit sticky sweetness of the peach, then it gets green and kind of powdery.
Lasting power is not very good. Perhaps if I did not have the expectations for freshness, we would have gotten along somehow, especially in the summer.

This fragrance brings to mind what I think a rainforest should smell like! Despite being considered a floral green, its base is damp and muskier than I expected.
In the opening I get a lot of peach and a touch of citrus, then a nice floral mix that I can’t distinguish notes from. The vanilla softens and sweetens as it goes, and for me the best part is the last few hours I wear it – absolutely beautiful!
I imagine that an array of lovely large tropical flowers under a damp canopy of huge trees might smell like the last few hours of this. The cashmere musk makes it very sexy and oh-so-sniffable. Decent staying power, about five hours on my skin.

Paradise…the name says it all. This fragrance smells fresh and invigorating, as if you’ve stepped into a lush and dewy rainforest full of fruit, green leaves, flowers, and woodes right after a summer shower.
The opening notes of tropical fruits are tempered by an alluring tart undercurrent. The scent is not so sweet as to be cloying. You are presented with a perfect balance.
The middle notes are where you experience the fragrance of enticing jasmine and green notes.
The basenotes are where this fragrance shines the most. We frequently see musk, vanilla, and sandalwood with many scents. But I have never seen a fragrance so perfectly blended with the floral and the warmer basenotes. The vanilla is understated and blends well as the jasmine folds into it, all accomplished while continually emphasizing the ‘green’ in its bouquet.
This is an extremely well done fragrance by Alfred Sung. I’m constantly asked what I am wearing, but I’ll never tell.

I like it althought it is not something speciall. It is perfect for the hot summer days at the beach.it is happy fragrance, not offending anyone, kind and nice .I was expecting something very fresh and crisp, but it comes to my nose little bit sweet and powdery.lasting power-average

I bought this because I like most of Sung’s perfumes, this one unfortunately doesn’t smell good on me. I get this strange smell and I can’t help but to identify it as the smell of a doll’s fake skin when you take it out of the box for the first time. It is quite odd, and I am disappointed because it sounded like I would like this perfume. Definitely try it before you buy to see how the notes develop with your chemistry.
