I’ve been wearing this to work today and I have had 4 compliments. This is potent and long lasting. I love it almost as much as the original Olympea. I’m finding the amber to be very prominent the more I get used to wearing it. Its beautiful and I feel, quite unisex.

It’s the fizzy amber and salt that makes this scent lean aquatic. There’s also a prominent sweet, gourmand note. I’m basing my review off sampling from a manufacturer’s 10ml spray, second wearing. Very good performance all around.
I don’t know how it compares to the original, but this is a good effort. My only negative is that I’ve smelled it before (many times), and I have something in my collection that it’s reminding me of, but I can’t place it.

This is like a mix of Womanity and Amber Romance and nothing aquatic at all. A marine note does not mention to be aquatic…. It s a heavy projecting salty ambery vanillic heaven. Fortunately no honey in this. I m offput of all the new bland honey frags like scandal out there. Love love love this! Lingers for hours on me.

I am starting to fall in love with aquatics. This is a sweet, honeyed, amber aquatic. It’s not salted like a salted caramel or a gourmand but it is sweet, not cloying or heavy. A winter aquatic if you can picture that! Like the shores of Maine with crashing waves in the fall while you wear suntan lotion and wear a sweater and jacket. This could almost be called beachy. It’s sweet, musky, honeyed, fresh and not vanillic in any way. I see why people mention fruity because it does take on a fruity nuance from the honeyed aspect.

Delicious …but when every body use it … Every magic sensation is gone.

I bought this and the new Olympea Aqua Legere as blind buys (oops) because I’m so in love with the original Olympea, but I’m not impressed with it at all- I don’t find it to be anything like the original fragrance. One reviewer mentioned that this smells like those strawberry scented stickers, and that’s exactly what I get from this perfume. It’s sharp, sweet, fruity, and incredibly synthetic, which doesn’t match the notes at all. It’s actually uncanny how much this scent takes me right back to the scratch-and-sniff stickers I used to have as a kid. Nostalgia aside, I don’t actually want to smell like a strawberry sticker. It’s just not for me, unfortunately. I was hoping for a creamier, warmer, more powerful version of my signature scent, but to no avail. If I want a big intense creamy vanilla powerhouse, I’ll stick with the original Olympea.

when i was working at shoppers, it was the first time i ever came across this woman’s Paco rabanne fragrance. I used to work at an arena in which I would always be surrounded by food, alcohol and lots of sweaty hockey players and drunks, but everytime I entered the room, people would immedeatley be shocked about how good it smelled on myself. it lasted throughout my long nights of dancing or work, and id still smell heavenly by the end. 10/10 perfume!

I tried. I really, really tried. I blind bought it because i found the notes interesting, and some of the reviews here were quite exciting. But it is not for me. I find the combination of salt and amber nauseating.
It has great sillage and an outstanding longevity. Once the salt is gone – more than 24 hours later, the vanilla- amber combination is delicious. I gave it to my mom: she’s in love with it.

This was put on clearance in all Macy’s last winter for a good reason. Smells ambery vanilic at first after 15 mins it turns into a burned sugar scent. an absolute fail!!!

It smells salty somehow like the beach I can feel it’s tropical and coconuty, even though at the beginning I detected some jasmine.
    It’s salted heaven

I love love love Lady Million and bought this after reading so many positive reviews on this fragrance, sometimes comparing the two. But.. I’m sorry I cannot stand it.
It’s nauseatingly sweet and smells like those strawberry scented stickers one may have had as a child. From spraying just a bit on my hand, I had a massive headache that lasted for hours.
All I smell is synthetic berry and melting Barbies.

The notes are wrong. According to the official Paco Rabanne website, it goes like this:
Oriental Amber (this one is in larger font slightly separate from the rest, so I suppose it’s meant to be the stand out note)
    absolute orange blossom, White pepper
    vanilla salt, white amber
    Ambergris
(Yes it’s really written as “Vanilla salt”)
I had to go check because I kept sniffing my arm and feeling like “no, there are more notes here…” and I was sure there must be ambergris (whatever chemical they use to replicate ambergris) and I didn’t think of orange blossom but it definitely feels right now that I see it (however I don’t smell any pepper)
But to me mostly this reminds me of the Atlantic City boardwalk, but not the current 2018 version. It’s more of a fantasy version, maybe as featured in the 1980’s Bette Midler move Beaches, or maybe the TV show Boardwalk Empire set in the 1920’s. I see a beautiful beach on a hot summer day. Salty sticky ambery caramel mingling with the salty ocean breeze. The sun is so bright it’s nearly blinding, The seagulls flying and making their seagull sounds. The waves crashing.
It’s not suntan lotion exactly but it definitely has that beach-city vibe. It kind of reminds me of the Hermes “Des Merveilles” flankers too, especially L’Ambre because of the rich caramelly amber. They’re not close enough to be flankers of course, but there definitely is a similar vibe, this one skewing a lot towards beachy while L’Ambre definitely feels like a winter scent.
Actually, I have a feeling this would be amazing in the winter and fall too though, I feel like it will adapt with the temperature and release the notes in different intensities and feel like a cozy wintery beach scent. (Imagine the boardwalk covered in snow!) I can’t wait to try it out.
I stood there for 10 minutes, couldn’t decide between this and the original. So happy I chose this (but may get the tiniest bottle of the original too, eventually…)

Best of olympea line. Both summer and winter, especially for spring. Best of all.

I really love this one, smells so good and not overly sweet. The perfect scent for cold months.

  15. :

Not bad. Salted caramel toffee done right, almost hazelnuts could be imagined there. It’s actually not too sweet, oddly.
    Works well on my skin.

  16. :

    3 out of 5

A little one dimensional but it is intense for something so simple. The salt does not mess around! The vanilla note gives it a lot of warmth and gives a slight, spicy edge. Not good as a blind purchase- and imo it smells better on clothes than it does on skin. Purchased as I wanted a salted caramel kind of scent in my collection. I’m not sure of any other fragrance that can get as close to the dessert than this can.

They are not discontinuing Olympea Intense, at least not in the UK. They are bringing out new bottles, in line with the design of Olympea Acqua Legere, rounder and sleeker shapes, which is a bonus – I hate the current cheap-looking bottles. Not sure if the scent is reformulated though, hopefully not – if anyone could comment on this, would be much appreciated!

I fell in love with this magnificent creation, however, I wasn’t pretty sure about the first Olympea, but this fragrance is pure magic, I didn´t want to try it, because I had low expectations, how wrong I Was! It´s a must have.

This is a nasty excuse for a perfume. I’m not as all surprised this is being dc

I agree completely with the reviewer just below. The “original” Olympea was a mere “that’s nice” for me. A clearance tester in an opened box at “the MAXX” gave me an opportunity to spritz & evaluate. Too floral and not enough salt, was my conclusion so I passed on a 2.7oz bottle for $20.00 a couple of months ago. Now that discontinuation is official I’m realizing I could have bought and held onto that bottle with an eye toward future profit but alas, that’s not something I thought of at the time.
Olympea Intense, however, is an absolute GEM! The first 15-20 minutes after spraying is a delicious salty, vanilla amber dessert scent (salted caramel?) that makes me smile and I have to pry my nose away from my wrist. I was lucky enough to find two unboxed bottles on “the bay” for a very good price so I can spray with abandon. Good thing, too, because it does indeed fade to a warm skin scent within the first 1/2 hour. I have to spray it on my clothes in order to detect it beyond 30 minutes.
After multiple wearings I’ve concluded that Olympea Intense is a sweet/candied version of Dior’s Dune. Truly! I love Dune for its dry, Atlantic ocean beach warmth and Olympea Intense has these aspects also but with a salty & sweet vanilla wave coursing through it. Dune is a walk on the beach early in the morning and Olympea Intense is a walk on the boardwalk later in the day as the cotton candy machines are working full tilt to satisfy the cravings of happy vacationers. Love it!
If you already have Olympea Intense and have fallen in love with it I do think you should grab a couple of back-ups before the price goes to ridiculous, gouging levels. If you don’t have it I say don’t rush to purchase. It’s lovely but the lack of longevity should be a deal breaker and is probably behind its discontinuation. Too bad, really, because greater longevity would have made this a “must have”.

  21. :

It’s always interesting to me how sometimes I can dislike the ‘original’ version of a perfume, and like or even love the “Intense” version. Olympea falls into that category for me. I bought the original Olympea, mainly because the bottle was so pretty to me. But the original Olympea never smelled nice on me. But..Olympea Intense..SWOON!!!! I admittedly would never have bought this, had this not been (apparently) clearanced.
There is a delicate sweetness here, not a sugar-bomb, at all. This starts off feeling like it might be heavy, but it softens quickly; in less than say 15-20 minutes, this becomes a soft scent to me. But I only do 2 quick sprays. I do pick up the salt note. I can’t detect amber per se, but yet there is a slight warmth to this. Mainly this is a softly sweet slightly salty scent, with a wee touch of warmth. Kind of bummed just getting this now at the end of Winter; this would make a great Fall/Winter scent. Kind of unique, not an everyday frag for me, but nice for days I want something a little ‘different’ yet still fairly office-friendly, and also for days I don’t want to smell like every other girl at the mall or coffee shop. Also great for rainy days, imo, and we get plenty of rainy days, year-round here.

  22. :

I’m going to chalk it up to my skin chemistry. I get a blast of Secret Clinical Strength deodorant, followed by the same unpleasant bubblegum like scent I found in LVEB – with a little powder. Zero salt on me.
Don’t be discouraged – I’ve smelt this on others and it’s been lovely, just not with my chemistry.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

This smells very nice. It is richer, bolder and more mature than the original one, but it still resembles the first Olympea quite a lot. This is my favourite from this line, so far.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

Omg yummy. First spray i smell candy and gum…sweet tarts.. like a bag of Halloween candy. It reminds me of neroli blanc intense. I definatly smell orange blossom. The candied orange blossom lasts quit a while in my skin. Within an hour the amber takes over with some salty vanilla. This is when it smells just like this tanning lotion i have called Exotic blend Australian Gold Acceletator. It ends with a warm soft sweet slightly salty cream. It’s dense and intoxicating. I don’t smell much salt … i wish i could smell more of that. But it is beautiful. Not totally unique . It reminds me of other orange blossom scents but it’s yummy non the less. I think it could be worn in any season.
Edit: ok never mind. The second time i sprayed it there was plenty salt. Salty warm orange blossom. Wow.

  25. :

This is definitely more intense than the original Olympea. If you liked that one as well as a bit of a heavier or stronger perfume, definitely check this one out. The scent is quite strong, only one or two sprays will last you around 5-6hrs. The amber is definitely amped up in this one, I mostly get the amber with a hit of vanilla to soften the punch. Good for cooler weather I think. Anything warmer and it might be too much and get a bit suffocating.

  26. :

This is an AMAZING perfume! Absolutely the kind of scent I prefer for nights and winter days. As the name indicates, it is really intense and that’s why it is pretty long lasting. I can still smell olympea intense after I shower when I start drying my hair, I guess it gets stuck there on my hair. It is a sexy and extremely feminine scent, a signature for me.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

What a tasty perfume. To my nose and on my skin , it smells ONLY from opening to drydown whipped cream with hazelnuts and a hint of salt. It’s sweet, very creamy, not buttery. I agree it smells like nutella without chocolate. It is very similar to LVEB intense. I prefer olympea intense, just because I prefer the bottle and because everyone wears something from LVEB line. From LVEB line which I adore, I still prefer the original. Longevity and sillage for Olympea intense:
    12+ hours, moderate sillage.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

Very tasty, but not overpowering. On the initial spray I got a lot of dense sugary cotton candy, but it goes away quite quickly, leaving that thick creamy base. Salt gives an interesting kick to it and amber makes it so warm. I prefer it to the original. If you like a good gourmand – test this one out, but I wouldn’t recommend a blind buy.

The Pacco Rabbane website States that the notes are white pepper,Orange blossom, salted vanilla and Amber or ambergris.I definitely can pick up orange blossom and am surprised no one can pick up this note.I think this version is even more beachy than the original. This makes me think of suntan lotion with the orange blossom notes. It has a warm glowing sunkissed skin vibe and to me is not as heavy as the original.I tried this in the summer and to me it would be perfect for warm summer nights but easily can be worn year round.I would say this is a Mediterranean beach goddess fragrance or if you like boho fashion this would suit as well. Its warm glowing and softly sensual.Love this better than the original as the ginger in the original plus the cashmere woods was a little to much for me.I picture a Mediterranean mermaid wearing this!

I like this one more than the original. To me, this perfume definitely is similar to the original Olympea, except it almost smells in the top and middle notes like honey is in the mix. Then the dry down is much more of a skin scent than the original….maybe due to the “saltiness” of it. I like it. Not sure if a full size bottle is going to happen, but it is nice.
Update: I don’t know what changed for me with this perfume, but every time I wear it…I get grapes + honey! That’s what it smells like to me…no longer a perfume I really wear :-/

  31. :

This isn’t as bad as I’d thought it would be. I like the saltiness. Good for winter and cold weather, but not really my thing.

    Gorgeous!!! Simply amazing!!!
    The best gourmand ever!!!
Lots of the sweatest vanilla, the warm touch from amber and that salt note in the very end. Yumi, deliciously sweet, but not girly at all.
    I’m totally in love!!!

  33. :

A lady in a perfumery shop recommended it to me, when I said I was looking for sth. vanilla and warm. After testing it and wearing it on my wrist for a day, I finally decided to get a full size 🙂 Why?
I love VANILLA based scents (Hypnose Lancome, Black Opium) and for a long time I wanted to get Hypnotic Poison, but still there was something missing: it was too sweet, too vanilla, too simple. I was not positive on that one…
And there comes Olympia Intense: it reminds me of H.Poison, but It’s ‘spicier’ (maybe it’s the salt) & more “complicated” – there is no “but” for me.
Now it’s the end of November in Poland, so cold and wet, and the scent warms me up, creating an invisible velvety scarf around me…
Dear FRAGRANTICA: why this perfume has no ‘group category’?
I suggest to categorize it as “Oriental vanilla” 🙂

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I loved that stuff, bought two bottles…till one morning my son told me I smelled like grape chewing gum…since then, that is all I can smell in Olympea intense…which kind of sucks…grape smell isn’t my favourite. I used to find it rich, deep, warm, much better than the edp, with a balsamic vibe..
I guess I will revisit it at some point!

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I will first go on record to say that I am a HUGE Paco fan! Olympea Intense does not disappoint my love. As most have said, this is not for warm temperatures. I tried it at the beginning of Fall and it still wasn’t cool enough to enjoy yet. I truly believe that this will shine the best in Winter. We are about a month away from Winter and I feel it’s still needing a lot more “cold”. I still love it though!

  36. :

    5 out of 5

What a beauty. You need to enjoy the salt note in order to love this perfume! Olympéa Intense is deeper and heavier than Olympea which aims more towards the late summer. This intense version has already settled in the depts of fall. It’s quite strong and a little goes a long way. The vanilla, amber are well balanced. I can’t say there is a clear division in top- and basenotes. It doesn’t change that much over time.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

I found this too salty. It reminded me of the uneasy way I felt the time I tested Thierry Mugler’s Womanity. Longevity was good but sadly not for me.

  38. :

I always had mixed feelings toward original Olympia.I liked it’s vanilla, floral blend but I couldn’t get along with it’s marine saltiness.I know, salt is exactly what gives Olympia it’s personality but I really, really hate marine and salty notes in fragrances.of course if I was forced to buy a salty perfume,it would definitely be Olympia
I didn’t have high hopes for it’s intense version as it has salt among it’s notes too but it was a love at first sniff!
Olympia intense is much warmer, sweeter and more smooth than original Olympia.I love sweet scents and I adore this type of sweetness.intense buttery vanilla cream sweetness with a dash of spice.delicious!
It reminded me JPG classique intense(but not essence)which I also love
Original Olympia is more floral but not that there isn’t anything floral in intense version.I can easily detect orange flower and something like Jasmine.it also has Olympia’s salty gene but not too much of it.in Olympia intense, saltiness doesn’t read as marine.it’s more like a spice that makes it even more delicious!
As it dries down it becomes more ambery and powdery.a cozy, lovely kind of powder
Longevity seems to be very good, don’t know about sillage yet.it’s a simple one.nothing complex or mind blowing here.still I like it a lot and would love to have it
Olympia intense is a fall, winter perfume unlike original Olympia which is more of a summery one.
Until now I thought I have to buy Olympia one day because I wanted to have a salty vanilla scent.but now that I see this other option,I will definitely go for intense version

Wearing far better than the original, Olympea Intense is a unique salty gourmand scent that will have everyone asking what you’re wearing!

  40. :

    4 out of 5

I really, really enjoy this fragrance. It is deeply intoxicating..the vanilla is rich, smooth and creamy. Along with the rich amber and soft salty touch, it really is a sexy scent. My husband just loves it and it really is a head turner 🙂 It lasts for about 4-5 hours. It is a must try.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

I totally agree with one review just below, this is much easier to wear than the original Olympea, the sweetness in it makes it less harsh. I do like original Olympea and found it very unique when it first came out, although others have now followed in it’s footsteps, but this one is nicer in my opinion, lovely vanilla with the original Olympea sitting in the background 🙂

  42. :

    3 out of 5

So glad I didn’t blind buy this one, which I almost did. Tried the original Olympea and loved it, and I thought I would surely love the Intense version more.
Wrong! Finally had the opportunity to try it today, and it’s different from the original for sure. Very strong on the amber and orange blossom (not listed in the notes, but amber and orange blossom are pretty much all I smell). To my nose, the vanilla is in the background. This isn’t sweet to me, either. Agree with others that it’s in the same vein as JPG Essence or Classique EDT (the orange blossom), or similar to a few Roberto Cavalli frags (again, the orange blossom).
This is an easy decision for me – I’m getting the original. Try before you buy!

  43. :

    5 out of 5

The original olympeas combination of salt, ambergris and ginger was too overwhelming on my skin.
This I would say is a lot more wearable and pleasant.
Its quite sweet and there is just enough salty amber. I smell a little spice but not too much. The orange blossom in this is similar to JGP Essence. And the amber in this smells like Alien essence. But it of course has about 80% of the originals DNA.
I keep catching the smell of this around me and it smells heavenly.
    The notes are:
    absolute orange blossom, white pepper
    vanilla, salt, white amber
    Ambergris

  44. :

    4 out of 5

This smells like some really sweet vanilla dessert to me.It’s not the worst from this type of scents, but I think I liked the original one much better as it was lighter and had a better composition of notes.
I think it could only be worn in winter when it’s really cold outside, it would match nicely with the cold air.
I think this scent might bother me if I would wear it.
Sweet and nice, but not the perfect one for me.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

    Warm ocean breeze…
    Sweet, beautiful Vanilla Amber
I also get something floral here, Neroli? Jasmine?
I’m addicted to this scent on the paper sample. Not on my skin though. How strange.

First spray, uggghh no, this blend smells exactly like a cough syrup that I always receive from the doctor when I was a child. It just reminds me of being sick

I received a sample at a local department store today. The first whiff reminded me of something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. I could smell the salt and amber and a bit of vanilla but there was still that other something. An hour later it hit me. Bubblegum. Hmmm ….

  49. :

    3 out of 5

Got a sample of this and the original one. I just did my review of the original and like I said about that one I’m shocked I like it, typically not a perfume I would find appealing but I do like it. This one I think I like more than the original.

  50. :

@rozo: I have exactly the same issue with certain vanillas! I thought I was the only one. It happens with this one and also Black opium, but not always. I wonder what the cause is of vanilla turning rubbery. Apart from my chemistry this really is a beautiful warm sweet beachy amber which I would have loved to buy if it matched with my skin a little better.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

I have sampled this for a day, it sounded promising but just doesn’t work with my body chemistry.
It started off very salty, then faded to an almost headache-inducing synthetic ‘rubbery’ scent that I also get with the YSL Black Opium fragrances – I want to like these but it must be a certain variation of vanilla scent that just doesn’t work for me.
Sillage was slightly more than arm’s length, and after 5 hours it had faded so that I could only smell it up close. By this point the rubberiness had gone and I was left with a pleasant enough amber scent.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

I’m using Olympea and I wished it was smelling a bit intense. I tried this one at the store and I really really liked it.
Edit after purchase, after 1 week usage: Definitely not the intense version of the original but another edp. I still like to use it though. The most dominant smell to me is vanilla.

  54. :

glad this is not woody..i hate wood..drydowns…the amber in this has a soft floral undertone hidden as you pass by someone with a warm breeze.

  55. :

    5 out of 5

This is good on a warm spring day but with a light spray. I have gotten so many compliments from wearing this…its not that its big on being different but the drydown after an hour is what makes this nice..its soft, warm, sexy, creamy ..summery or winter..this is an intense skin scent and no u wont smell this on yourself but others smell you all day long! love it!

  56. :

    3 out of 5

Not impressed. I really thought this was going to be an out of the park hit for me since I love vanilla, spicy, musky, and woodsy gourmands. This smelled synthetic and cheap with very little complexity or refinement. Additionally, it has poor longevity and projection. Swiftly taken off the want list.

  57. :

    5 out of 5

I cannot agree with the intense statement, it is though a beautiful simplistic vanilla gourmand, not sickly sweet but rather soft spicy. Salty notes make it even more edible and enhance the spicy facets of vanilla. The scent deepens with the appearance of amber-benzoin and then tames into a slightly powdery soft spicy, cozy and warm vanilla. It’s simplistic, lasts long but doesn’t project well, after three hours it stays close to the skin.
It’s like they took Classique Essence de Parfum JPG and pushed it just a bit to the gourmand side. I like Olympea Intense but I don’t wish to wear it yet. A yes from me.

  58. :

    5 out of 5

Ok ok ok ok ok this is so weird because i pretty much dislike the original Olympea and i LOVE Olympea intense. This is very warm vanilla scent and i can’t get enough of it. The only thing that bother me is that it won’t last for more than 3hours on my skin, which makes it rather Olympea NOTintense.

  59. :

    4 out of 5

Different beast to the original Olympea. Intense has no floral notes. The salt and amber dominate the vanilla. It’s much more abrasive due to the amped up salt. It still smells good though but I prefer the original which is fast becoming a favourite!

  60. :

    5 out of 5

I spent a long time testing the original Olympea and Olympea Intense. I could not decide which one to buy. I ended up buying the original Olympea and I’m glad I did. The Intense version is more a fall and winter scent and is fairly heavy. The information says it only contains three notes while the original contains nearly 3x the notes. Both versions last forever. But the Intense has more amber, vanilla, which exudes the winter notes to me. I am a spring/summer girl and so prefer the original. However, if someone were to give me a bottle of the intense for Christmas I would like it! But will not spend that money for just a fall/winter scent. Both are great perfumes.

@arlene-Beatrix, If you pay attention to your fav collection of scents you like on your body…those scents will favor many of the same base note or notes..that work for you. Not every person can wear a scent skin wise , even if the nose likes it. Its the chemistry n oils in each persons skin. I wear alot of amber/vanilla sandlewood based scents, or fresh citrus ..works well for me.

MOST who like flowery rose based scents or white blooming rosey stuff..will hate this. Great for Woc skin ..for some reason.

Thick and warm scent, mix of salt and vanilla. All in all, nice, but I personally find any salty & sweet blend of notes a bit awkward.

I love the original Olympea and I thought I loved this until I bought it! It wasn’t a blind buy, I saw this on display at boots and was sooo excited I practically barged the sales assistant out of the way to get to it! I sprayed it on the back of my hand and instantly loved it, or so I thought. The original Olympea is so beautiful, I spritz it on and I am transported to a boat somewhere warm and tropical inhaling fresh sea air mingled with tropical fruits and flowers. Well this intense version smelled a lot like that but a little less fresh, slightly powdery with lots of lush amber. Its like I am transported to the same boat in the same tropical climate but on a warm night and the fruits are not as fresh and tropical but more dense and syrupy. Anyway…I LOVED IT!!! I bought the biggest bottle there and then. Because it was a new fragrance launch it came with a free gift, a gold clutch bag that I did not care for so the sales assistant was such a love and she swapped it for a CK freebie that I liked more, the reason I am telling you this is because she said something that made me laugh so hard inside, she said ” just remember that if you return the perfume do not bring the CK gift back with you as I will get in trouble” bless! I left thinking you are crazy lady as if I will be returning this beauty, returning for another bottle more like! Then something weird happened…. I climbed out of the shower that evening and unconcerned about gassing anyone out as I was on my own that night, I sprayed olympea generously on my chest, neck, wrists and forearms and waited for the magic to begin and ……nothing 🙁 I mean there was something slightly sweet for about 4 minutes then absolutely nothing! N.O.T.H.I.N.G. Can’t even say it is a skin scent, it isn’t just me. I have asked my partner, sister, mother in law and daughter and they all agree. Now I do not know what to think, as the tester I tried was divine?! Or was it something else I had tried? Do I have a bad bottle? I don’t know. What I do know is that I am seriously pissed off that I spent not far off £100 on this. I have made a considerable dent in the bottle now too trying it over and over to make sure I am not crazy, so will struggle to return it. However I am that angry I am considering going into the store with my bottle and testing side by side with the tester and getting the sales assistant to do the same, maybe then they will refund me.

I just picked this up…sexy warm amber beach vanilla nights with a summer softer creamy set. I have the original and I love that as well. This one is more vanilla and less salty air than the original but creamy and less floral…love both

Everyone’s skin reacts so differently to each fragrance. Today I tested both Olympea EdP and Olympea Intense. While the original EdP is beautiful, the opening felt much harsher and sweeter on me and as it developed, the salty note felt as if I had sprayed the fragrance on sweaty skin… That’s the thing that put me off about the EdP. Olympea Intense, on the other hand, calms down into a soft, amber fragrance. I just wish they had created a bit more complex fragrance with more ingredients and still less salt wit, but overall I love Olympea Intense.

I love Olympea, the original. It’s soooo good. In summer it’s just like the beach…. sweet, salty vanilla, flowers… just dreamy and creamy. In winter, Olympea is an airy floral jasmine on me… light/airy and creamy with the salt still present.
So I was stoked for this. Blind buy, of course.
Andddd… I’m rather disappointed. Sure it’s thicker and more syrup-y, but it’s not INTENSE… haha… It’s a simplified Olympea- smells linear/no layers, more like a creamy sweet smell (smells similar to Classique Intense too- except this has the salt). The salt is much more toned down. In fact, I get a rather “generic” amber/vanilla with a fleeting, airy salt note that comes and goes with movement… that sets it apart and reminds me this is Olympea. It’s the Olympea DNA. Now since uber sweet perfumes are my thing– I do like this. But my mind wasn’t blown.
Something in this was also “lipsticky” (powder? sort of a dusty vibe) but I don’t see any benzion/tonka notes.
I totally agree that this is the sunset/night version of Olympea. 🙂 The original is a sweet day at the beach, and this is a warm dusk.
I have to say, after a few pr
