Copied and pasted: The word “Tahara” means “to be cleansed of defilement,” and that musk is strongly recommended for this ritual that is specific to women. Fresh, sweet, with a very pleasant smell.
If you have had coconut oil, you will know that it is solid white in the jar and takes some time to warm up in the palm of your hands. In the summertime the jar of coconut oil is completely transparent… That is exactly how it is with this oil, it is so thick and the consistency of the oil changes throughout the year. At least it does for me where I live.
It smells wonderful, for me, it is pleasantly sweet, clean but not soapy or anything similar to the fabric softener smell on my own skin. The oil melds into my skin and leaves a delicate, clean, fresh, warm, comforting smell on the skin, I like to wear it to class and know that it will not bother anyone.
When you are out and you walk by someone and you think to yourself “hey, that person smells soo amazing”, I guarantee that when you wear this oil, people will think this very thing about you.
I buy 6ml of this oil on a consistent basis. Sure the batch could be different with some purchases but it smells soooo wonderful.

More affordable types are available but the scent is lower in quality. But this one is a good one – Musk Abiyad (Afnan)

Musk AlTahara means the musk of cleanliness. This is a thick whitish very clear smelling musk. it sits very closely to the skin with almost no sillage but lasts for days and days. I can even smell this on myself after showering. I was advised by the lovely SA at Arabian Wood to use it as a deodorant and have been doing so for almost two years now. This stuff works even in the hottest day and for the longest period of time.
