Description

At the end of the 1960s, the winds of change blow across the world, as young people rise against all of the previous
generations rules. Music changes, habits change, fashion changes. The young generation, starting from the U.S.A and England,
embrace oriental philosophies looking for a simpler more natural life style, less chaotic and stressed than that of western
civilization.

This new style of living is also reflected in perfume. Young people no longer want the sophisticated fragrances worn
by their parents, but embrace the simple ones whose roots lie in the oriental culture. The hippies and the flower children buy the
fashionable essential oils, and in 1969 Alyssa Ashley launch their first product, Musk Oil by Alyssa Ashley. Musk Oil was presented in a small heart shaped bottle, and over the years a complete line was developed including Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum and a collection of body care products.

The success of MUSK is due to its very
special formulation, which blends over
one hundred of the world’s finest
ingredients to create the warm, sexy
fragrance we know and love.

Alyssa Ashley Musk is of course a
unisex fragrance, and nowhere is
this emphasized more strongly than on
the contemporary packaging.
Strong glossy black symbolizes the
male aspect and bright soft white
the feminine, they are bonded
together by a fine line of gold and
easily recognized by Ashley’s
distinctive gender symbols.
The intertwined male and female
logo is recognized and revered all
over the world.

The spirit of Alyssa Ashley Musk
is captured by a sexy shot,
showing a couple who is clearly
having fun. The intimacy is clear
for all to see, the situation is
obviously “Dangerous but fun.”

We actually get along really well this little old lady and me. We have known eachother for alomost an entre generation now.. Amazing she is. Musky, rose, light and powdery. She` s not offensive or overwhelming. She`s is subtle, feminine and clean. My bottle is almost empty now, but I ` ll for sure buy another again… like I did since my teenage years. Silage and longevity is moderate and so is the Price..A classy classic which I will hopefully never grow apart from

I like musk, but this one was a disappointment. The bottle I ordered is from a trusted seller on ebay, so there is no way that my bottle is a fake. I spray and spray – and nothing..It literally smells like nothing, I sprayed generously and all I get is something very faint, very slight reminiscent of Chanel no 5, classic Dove shower gel and basic musk, but the scent is barely there – and now, I really sprayed generously! It`s a disappointment because I expected `in your face` good quality musk, and this one just won`t do. What I smell I do like, but it`s so faint that at this point I`m just pissed off..A lot of reviews here say that the oil is the real deal, so maybe I should go for that..

Review for the oil version. As far as musks go, this is one of my favorite musk fragrances. It’s a fresh floral musk that is extremely pleasant. However, the current formulation is so soft/weak it would be hard for me to even call it a skin scent. It would be a fantastic choice for somebody who wants to wear something very light or works in a field where fragrances are discouraged. Bottom line: love the scent, disappointed in the projection and longevity–good thing it’s cheap enough to apply lavishly and often!

this is one of those clean, white musks typical of the 70s and 80s. i remember liking jovan musk as a preteen and hoping this might be similar, but jovan was stronger and muskier. this just is barely perceptible on my skin-i get the soft skin musk, some iris and maybe some oakmoss? my skin seems to eat it up, it is so subtle! also a bit watery/soapy. it reminds me of Ombre Rose a bit, but i prefer that one in it’s rosy powderiness…

Having just tried a sample of Aerin Lauder’s Amber Musk and liking it a lot, but not the high price, I thought it smelled a lot like the Alyssa Ashley Musk Oil I used to wear in my twenties (30+ years ago) ..I always used to buy the oil but once I’d run out of that I couldn’t find any more so opted for the spray which was a lot weaker and had no staying power so after I’d used it up I didn’t buy anymore. I decided to have a search for it on eBay and Google recently and was surprised to see that it was available everywhere! I purchased a small vial of the oil through Tesco (Perfume Click) but have been pretty disappointed since trying it. I remember using Alyssa Ashley Musk when it was under the Houbigant label and it was a gloopy oil (it ruined the collar of my Coney Fur jacket! ) and the fragrance was intense and lasted for ages. This newer one is poor in comparison. The oil is a lot thinner and dissipates quickly on the wrist. I recognised the scent immediately but after about half an hour of wearing it I have to closely smell my wrist in order to get a faint whiff. I’ve either got a duff copy or Alyssa Ashley is allowing her oils to be diluted..shame as I shall probably be taking this back and looking out for a vintage Houbigant bottle. I would say it was and is my all time favourite.

This is like a dupe of “Chanel No. 5” without the bone dry aldehyde opening or “Je Reviens” without its characteristic cast of benzoin sanitized, eerie sterility.
I actually love both those scents for those precise and interesting differences I pointed out but its nice to have a scent that’s just the non-challenging parts of those two scents mashed together.
The creamy woodsiness of sandalwood, the rose and jasmine soapiness, a pinch of hairspray like aldehyde but never enough to be weird or stuffy: “Alyssa Ashley” musk is great if you’re a musk lover and want a wide array of musks with subtle differences to suit your mood. This one is a “washed with a hard milled 1940’s beauty soap or just got a steam cloth at the barbershop” type of musk. Clean, creamy, warm and soapy. There’s even the slightest hint of patchouli that appears to be whispering in the background.
It’s a great scent for those who feel naked without fragrance in even the most frag incompatible environments or around frag averse people. This just smells like being starched and scrubbed with creamy soap. It smells enough like your skin and hair, that people will feel too nervous to point out such an intimate scent — in case it’s just a skin scent — to complain.

I love this and remember when it first came out. I never knew a cologne existed as we always bought the oil when I was young. It was in a small round, black bottle and smelled like heaven. This was before chemicals replaced real musk. There is no comparison to the real deal. (Forgive my sins musk animals.) The cologne is didsappointing, but the oil is still nice. Just musk, cozy, clean musk. I have African musk, White musk, Hymilayan musk, all kinds of musk, but have no idea white kind of musk this is. It is the kind that smells good!
PS- The clear round bottles smell better than the clear column shaped bottles. Why? I don’t know. They are not alike. The round one smells like musk. The column shaped smells like old time Mum Deodorant.

Uhm this doesn’t really smell like musk to me. To my nose, it smells like a super powdery hairspray, plus some Dove soap and deodorant. I mean, it smells very clean and inoffensive, which is good.
But I only get musk in the drydown, basically the following morning. It gets much, much better in the drydown but I’m not one to way until it. I want to be able to like my fragrance from start to finish, possibly.
    Pros: clean, long lasting
Cons: not really musk, it’s a bit strong initially
Edit: Thinking about it, it could be that I’m anosmic to this kind of musk (maybe?) but I did smell it a bit in the drydown, so I guess it must be the scent itself not being very musky, and not a problem of my nose.

Does what it says on the tin. This one lands somewhere in the middle as far as musks are concerned. It’s neither animalic nor clean. A balanced, well-rounded, (uni)sexy musk, plain and simple.

I reviewed the body spray off this, but I recently purchased the perfume oil.
I don’t use it often because it’s a bit boring, honestly. It’s good for when I just want to smell clean. It’s very soapy, if you’ve ever used Johnson’s Baby Soap (the bar kind that comes in a pink box) you might recognize this as to me it’s nearly identical. I find it interesting that this scent boasts about being unisex, because it smells so powdery and that’s not a note often found in men’s scents.
I think I would like or at least respect this fragrance more if it wasn’t so SHY. I’ve used the body spray and oil, and I’ve tried the eau de toilette at a store, and none of them have lasted over an hour. The silage is not bad too although I suppose this isn’t the type of scent that’s meant to be loud.

This is an early ‘scent memory’ for me, someone, I think my aunt, had a little trio of solid perfume that got handed down to me as a child. I immediately fell in love with this one, with it’s naughty male/female symbols and my mother’s equally immediate ban on me wearing something this grown up.
I’d sneak sprays of this at the drugstore while my grandmother picked up her pills and marvel in the taboo and strange animaliac scent that was ‘too grown-up’ for me, and marvel at what that might hint at…
I don’t know if the formula changed, or my chemistry/tastes did, but this no longer smells even remotely how I remember: before it was a warmer scent, heavier on the tonka and jasmine (still two of my favorite notes) and less on the hairspray and plastic.
Oh to go back to that heavenly world of possibility those first whiffs of this took me to!

I adore powdery perfumes, so when I saw this recommended to a fellow perfume lover with similar tastes as mine, I sought out a bottle. I’m glad I only bought an inexpensive tester, as this is just not for me. First notes I smell remind me of a cheap hairspray I used in high school, followed by an odd floral note that makes me think a little of artificially flavored cherry candy. The powder notes almost happened, but not quite. Maybe it isn’t for my body chemistry, or perhaps it has been reformulated, but given all the hype, I’m disappointed.

Whenever I feel this perfume I think of my mother. It is perfume since I am very young and it reminds me of many memories. He feels very good and fits her perfectly. By cons, I would not wear this perfume because it looks less like me and because this perfume is the smell of my mother for me. I advise you to go and feel it, it feels really different. 🙂

    Fecal?
    Not in a million years.
AA musk oil was my signature scent in the early 70’s (along with every other girl in my rural, farm town). It was so different than the current one.
Clean and fresh, lasting for hours upon hours.
I have a bottle of the EDT. Sadly, only a cheap nod to the original scent.
Oh how I wish I could find that little heart bottle of oil again.

Alyssa Ashley-Musk: Thank You Moonsparrow for this bottle of perfume. I have worn this perfume many times now since you gave it to me. I still like it even after noticing the shampoo smell early on, but shampoos smell wonderful too, why does that have to be a bad thing? I never understood why folks will put down a fragrance for smelling soapy, or like shampoo, after all, those soaps and shampoo’s are using the same essential oils to fragrance their products as perfumers are to theirs. That aside, I must say I am very pleased with this fragrance and my dear friend Moonsparrow’s investment hasn’t gone to waste. Although the formulation has changed a bit since the original in the late sixties, there is still some of it’s 1960’s character remaining. I remember hanging out at music events and smelling this alyssa ashley musk scent together with patchouli, nag champa, frankincense and myhrr and new at the time colognes like Brut and Jade East Musk, British Sterling to name a few.
Alyssa Ashley Musk starts out very sharply with bergamot and jasmine and Iris creating this powdery, soapy note that everyone seems to get from it at first, laying below is the musk note surrounded with a floral aura that hints of rose and although ylang, ylang is mentioned in the pyramid, I don’t capture it much as I do the geranium. Oakmoss and Tonka seem to tame Musk and renders it clean and void of any skank. Pepe Le Phew would be disappointed with this musk, because there is absolutely zero skank or fecal note here, which is common in musk notes especially those using the musk of the civet. This Musk is safe to use in the office. It is more of a floral, powdery musk. It is a very different Musk, one that has been tamed, or can I say Neutered. The musk is there and lasts a very long time, it is warm and almost wants to get funky but does not. It remains pleasant and clean as if enveloped in a floral aura.
I like this one, even though the formula may have changed some. This has the same musk type that is popular with Jovan and Coty, very similar. This is not an animalic type of musk. It’s longevity is very long lasting, sillage is medium to heavy depending on how many sprays you apply.
I like it, and have enjoyed it many times since acquiring it. Thank You again Moonsparrow.

This was an inexpensive blind buy a year or two ago. I didn’t have the original Alyssa Ashley MUSK and so can’t speak to how the modern one compares.
In its current form, this fragrance starts out with a distinct note of something that reminds me very strongly of vintage Breck shampoo. (If you’re not familiar with Breck, it had a clean, soapy and vaguely artificial scent.) After dry-down, which on me takes about 45 minutes, the shampoo note dissipates and what is left is a pleasant, soft musk which lasts for many hours.
If you find it at a good price and don’t mind the initial shampoo notes, it’s worth a try if you collect musks. On the other hand, if you grew up using Breck shampoo, this will trigger feelings of nostalgia.

I got my Alyssa Ashley Musk as a Christmas gift in 1988. How I loved it! Anyway, today at the crocery store I decided to spray some on my wrist..what a disappointment. It wasn’t the same anymore as it use to be..

Given the legendary status of this musk fragrance, I sought it out on ebay and after some time finally bought it. I love Jovan Musk but that one needs constant respraying to hold its scent, and I run through bottles of it quickly. AA is more expensive (though not prohibitively so) and I thought it just might be the One. No. It is not. To me it is very, very soapy and almost aldehydic, pretty bland really. I don’t get musk at all from it, and longevity is only slightly better than Jovan. I admit to liking my musks with a bit more of a kick – not skanky (ala PD’E Musc Tonkin) but definitely more colorful than this. I’m very disappointed after the hype that I bought into and while it is certainly not an offensive fragrance, it is just not me. Mediocre at best. Got a bottle to give away if anyone wants it.

I have the current oil version.
AA Musk was a dislike for me, as my reviews can witness, but I lately wanted to revisit some scent. It’s still a no in EdP and EdT, because they smell too harsh like old hairspray (in the opening), but the oil wears in a different way. Basically the same scent with a little less aldeid, but more on a yellow baby shampoo side. It keeps so for at least 30 minutes, then settle down to a regular musk oil of the clean type.
I don’t smell the slightly fecal edge on my skin with the oil.
It’s a dabbing bottle with a plastic thingy to apply the perfume on your skin.
It smells clean, simple and familiar like a body cream, but it’s so much better than pungent white musk and it has a few nuances more than that.
If any, it is more similar to a weaker version of TBS Red Musk in oil.
Not bad, but very tamed as projection. It’s really more of a skin scent.

It reminds me a Dove soap in a good way.
Slightly more feminine but a 30+ confident man could also wear it.
    In my opinion strong sillage.
    A like from me 🙂

I am in the lucky possession of an unused black rounded bottle of oil from the 70’s and a newer clear round bottle of oil. The newer bottle is not the currant bottle sold today, it looks different but I don’t know from when. (80’s, 90’s or 2000’s)
The old fragrance is rich, creamy, slightly soapy and lasts all day and all night! It’s reminiscent of Jovan Musk or more accurately Jovan is much like Alyssa Ashley.
The newer one is obviously the same fragrance but more soapy and the silage is not there. The lasting power is good but not half of what I found in the older bottle. All in all it passes.
I have yet to try the newest bottle and if it hasn’t changed much from the last incarnation than I will be happy with it.
Buying vintage fragrance is time consuming, expensive and risky as many will have gone bad.

I used to adore this and now that I’ve finally got it (edt), it’s not at all what I remembered it as – I must have overrated it.
It is musky, soft, floral and powdery. It’s almost like… Musky baby powder? Kind of, yes. Still very good, could wear but but nothing I want to wear.

I love unisex fragrances, musks and vintage scents so this was something I was eager to try. Actually I first saw it in an old copy of Seventeen magazine from about 1983, they were doing a back-to-school spread and were encouraging purchasing the whole line of Musk products so you can layer your scent and keep the musk oil in your locker to freshen up during the day. I couldn’t really picture using a musky body oil to “freshen up” but I was intrigued and made a mental note to check on eBay to see if there were any old bottles still kicking around, so I was happily surprised to find out they were still selling it at my local drug store.
I purchased the body spray for $8 (the musk oil was $30 which is a bit much for a blind buy). I figured I would come back later for the oil. I wanted to love it. I really, really did.
    But it’s pure hairspray.
Maybe it’s because I have aerosol spray, maybe the oil or cologne is better, but on me this never really blossoms past the hairspray stage. I don’t even get a strong musk note from this, ironically. It’s main note is hairspray with base notes of soap and baby powder. I was expecting something I would have to use sparingly because it was so musky and strong, something obnoxiously vintage like Drakkar Noir or patchouli oil.
That being said, I’ve kind of made my peace with what I got. It’s a very clean, unoffensive scent. It’s unisex only because most people won’t even know you’re wearing a scent. They’ll just assume you’re freshly showered and hairsprayed.
Not at all what I expected, but for those days when I don’t feel like making a big splash and just want to smell “nice” I’ll definitely be reaching for this.
Edit: I realized on my skin this smells exactly like Johnsons Baby bar soap or Ivory soap. It’s what I was hoping Pure Soap by Demeter would be. I might have to purchase the oil after all and see if it gives off the same soapy vibe, if so I’ll be wearing it a lot more often!

Why isn’t this the potent musk you remember? Two words: Nitro Musk! Banned in the US since 1979 they were in most if not all of the old musk oils. Contrary to what some believe “real” musk hasn’t been used in most mainstream fragrance for almost 100 years!
Nitro-musks were once used extensively in perfumery and are now largely prohibited in many countries because they can’t be fully cleaned out by sewage treatment plants and accumulate in fish and such. The kicker is that there is no conclusive proof that they’re actually harmful.
Polycyclic musks are mostly used in fragrance and londry products these days. They far inferior in strength, longevity and odor to the nitro musks.
Macrocyclic musks are also not a good replacement for nitro musks. Although they closely resemble the true scent of real deer (Tonkin) musk, half the human population are anosmic to it. That means there is 50% chance you can’t smell it! EVER! So fragrance companies use several musk chemicals in the hopes that you’ll smell atleast one! So now you know why fragrance can smell so much different between people.
Alicyclic musks I don’t know too much about, their sort of new but from what I’ve heard they are also no match for nitro musks.

Okay, I tried this on today. The initial blast was awful, it smelled like hairspray. I thought that AA won’t work on my skin, and moved on. But after an hour or so it started to lose the hairspray quality, and moved on to be softer and sweeter.
Well, now, after six hours, one of them in the sauna, it smells wonderful. Just like my grandma. It’s musky and earthy but clean at the same time. I love, love, love it.
But would I buy it? Hmm, well, I don’t feel for the beginning, not the slightest. But maybe, if I sprayed it on the night before..? Just a thought. Or maybe it works better in the oil form? It’s not too expensive, so maybe I could get a bottle of this.

This was my grandmothers signature since the beginning. She always reminisced how good this used to smell before synthetic musk. I just smell her in this. She passed just recently, and I find my self thinking I should buy a bottle just to remember her by.
It may not be super expensive or niche, but I like it. It’s safe and comforting.

I found this at Walmart for $13.00 for the 3.4oz bottle. It smells like hairspray at first, then it turns into a soapy musk. It kinda reminds me of the original Dove bar soap mixed with white musk. I spray it onto my undershirt to help the longevity out a bit, but I really like it. I’m looking forward to warmer weather to see how it does!

Haha this toilette is so save. Nothing good or bad to say about it. it has no gender nor a age.
I like it, it may sound crazy but it brings me my moroccan child dreams back. The Mosque always had a fog of muks around it. of course it was not AAmusk but that musky thing AA has, is almost the same.
The oil of this line smells oke almost good, but de oil self is not a normal oil. you realy need to wash your hands. Wich is not normal for a parfum oil. because a normal oil will absord quikly and wil leaf the skin soft.

  33. :

The first hour smells to me like a bar of soap. I can’t think of any fragrance that smells soapier than this one. Eventually the musk starts to assert itself. I love a nice, clean musk scent but there are a couple I prefer. On the more expensive side Mure et Musc, and on the less expensive side White Musk from The Body Shop. I would also say Skin but it has been so long since I’ve smelled it I don’t know what’s going on with it, it may have been reformulated for all I know.

  34. :

Yes I agree this smells a bit like Chanel No5, a cheaper, hairspray version. I was hoping for a more musky smell though understandably. Charmingly tarty, you can imagine the character Rose from ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ or the character Doreen from ‘Birds of a Feather’ wearing this.

Today I will use the last of the bottle of Musk I’ve carefully saved over last 12 years! Discovered this fragrance in the 70’s. IMHO it is what musk smells like. I never picked out jasmine, or OAK MOSS, a most favorite note of mine, just musk. I’ve moved from Musk to Mitsouko. Thanks Fragrantica, the journey of perfume discovery has been thrilling.

Unfortunately i cannot review the oil here. The oil is the best. It is fresh, musky, clesn, warm sexy, comfy. My go to scent when i want some comfort. To me it is noticable but not too in your face or obnoxious. But when i wear it i also am afraid it might be considered childish or tacky but i love it. Sillage for me is moderate and lasts about 8 hours. I get compliments wearing this.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

The perfume oil version was my favourite.
I recieved it in a swap a few years ago and it was sweet musky and intense.
When i ordered two more bottles it just wasnt the same. As though it had been diluted – not sweet intense and long lasting. Sigh.
The edt is very pretty but the sillage is minimal.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

My only experience with straight-up musk is The Body Shop’s White Musk.
The dry down of AA reminds me of TBS WM, but a pretty floral ribbon woven through.
The initial blast of AA is too strong and chemical. Perhaps my mistake was in purchasing the spray instead of tracking down the oil?
But after about 30 minutes, I reach the dry down stage and AA morphs into a powdery musk. I like it. It’s not something I’d wear everyday, but I can see how this scent would be unobtrusive and good for situations where one does not want a perfume to take centre stage.
I think I’ll need to use a blowdryer on my wrists to fast-forward through the initial chemical stage, so that I can reach the powdery, floral dry down sooner.
Edit: tried this again this evening, and that sharp, almost ammonia-like note in the beginning wasn’t as strong as the first time I tried this. Instead, it has been a gentle, powdery musky scent on my skin.
Longevity is outstanding–almost 10hours with one spritz.

I had a productive day exploring musk scents at Beauty Base Westfield and I came across this at the back of the store.
I tried the EDP of this and like the others I got hairspray and more hairspray for a solid 20 minutes then suddenly it cleared and like the sun through the clouds I smelled powdery earthy musk with a hint of jasmine and rose. I took a chance and got the perfume oil instead of the EDT atomiser, and I would recommend that if you want this you do the same. The perfume oil starts with the musk and florals none of that hairspray. Compared with Jovan (which I also got) I would say that this is slightly less woody, a bit more green and a bit sweeter.

I agree with the pee/ hairspray assessment, this smells cheap and synthetic and horrible.

Notes say I should like this, my skin doesn’t agree… For the first few minutes I can detect a slight pee and hairspray odour , then it softens, pee note disappears, yet hairspray stays. Not one to buy blindly.

This is the only frag that’s not smells like perfume on me,it smells very soft, comforting, pleasant, not over powering or giving headache,it stays close to my skin, heavenly!! i started to find a musky perfume after this but no one can compare this one,um still waiting for my jovan white musk and wondering who’ll be the winner..

I must say, that after just receiving and wearing an early 70’s, pressurized bottle of Houbigant Musk Spray Mist (fine print on the side says Alyssa Ashley Inc., Div Houbigant Inc.), it smells nearly identical to the currently produced Musk by Alyssa Ashley EDT.
Sure, there’s a bit of a difference – mostly that the older one is somewhat stronger/louder, does have a more penetrating musk presence and there is a stronger “hairspray” note (similar to Elnett) – but overall the fragrance hasn’t really changed all that much. Nothing like the changes that have occurred with Jovan Musk or Coty Wild Musk
This is a very pleasant surprise in this day of drastic reformulations.

I have this as a”Houbigant” fragrance, so quite vintage. It has a beautiful, clean, skin scent without smelling too much.
I wear this with an Orange Blossom body spritz by Pure Fiji. Nice, uplifing and they go really well together.

Who the heck thinks this smells like MPG Ambre Precieux? (as seen above in the “This perfume reminds me of:”
There’s absolutely no relation or similarity whatsoever – one is white musk and one is a vanillic amber.

I love musky perfumes and notes in Musk by Alyssa Ashley seemed very interting. Unfortunately, this perfume smells like a too old talc, nothing more.

I bought this perfume because I was looking for some perfum that smelled like my ever favorite Jovan Musk , but Musk by Alissa Ashley unisex did not go with my chemistry . Really I was very sad for that ! But , now reading in Fragantica I could know that there exist one just for women !! I will try it and I hope it be what I am expecting!!

I am a musk lover…and I love this one! I also have the bubbling bath and shower gel and it smells wonderful too!! It reminds me of Chanel no 5…

I must be crazy or old. I never liked this and I still don’t, I wrote a negative review before about this smelling like plastic+hairspray+fecal edge.
This is what I smell in most so-called “musk” which seems to belong all to “woody floral musk” family.
Kiehl’s is more on teh fecal edge, while AA Musk is more on the hairspray side. Both effects must be a result of aldehydes. That’s probably where the similarity with Chanel n°5 comes from.
AA Musk is like a cheaper version of grand classic type floral+aldehydes. It’s like a simplified Van Cleef and Arpels First or Lanvin Arpege.
The aldehydic-indolic effect has become a typical way to mimic not so clean human smells.
The perception of smells is very different from a person to another. That’s why with AA Musk some smell a warm soft skin scent, while other smell human dirt.
It’s a good job in itself!
At the moment I found myself reaching the tester any time I scroll the shelves and I ask why.
    I don’t really like it!

Nothing to says about this scent just a month has 30 days & I wear this scent around 20. I can’t bear if I see that the perfume has left leass than 20% of the bottle & I need to stock it up as sooooon as possible. I am be like this for 6 years since I found this scent. The body lotion is also work great as it could be stay on your skin with moderately sillage for day without top up with their EDT.
This scent is unintentionally sexy while it’s innocent in the same time. I always got compliment from many people and ask me what’s that scent. Surely that i keep it as my secret to avoid my surrounding people has the same scent with me! hahaha.

Just found out an old bottle in my attick, I think it’s from the 90’s. Brings back memory of girls I used to date who wore it.

Takes me back to summer of ’89. I alternated from this to some peach scented body spray (possibly Calgon?),Baby Soft, Debbie Gibson Electric Youth, a Tea Rose perfume from Mervyn’s, Avon Sweet Honesty, Primo, and Exclamation (although I was allergic to that last one!) All were my favorite scents of the 80s.
Recieved it as a Christmas gift some years back and my reaction was not the same. Guess either I outgrew it or didn’t like my bittersweet trip down memory lane.

it does bring back memories, thats for sure! i use to wear this all the time in junior high school, it was my favorite back then! i had the whole set up…thought i was the greatest, perfume, lotion, even the powder with the large powder puff. i recently purchased the pure oil of Alyssa Ashley and i must say, it smells nothing like the perfume, to me anyway.

I love the way perfumes are able to bring back memories you didn’t even know you had: I smelled the tester for Musk by Alyssa Ashley and immediately felt like I was 5 years old again, in my gymnastics class (my teacher must have worn this because I thought of her)!
Musk by Alyssa Ashley is a clean, pleasant musk scent that stays fairly close to the skin. It’s somewhat reminiscent of White Musk by the Body Shop, which I loved, as a teenager. There is a powdery note there, too, but I have a really hard time picking out any specific notes other than musk because they’re so well blended (doesn’t the description say it’s blended from over 100 ingredients?).
Overall, I think it’s a pleasant, somewhat sexy fragrance that has been popular for decades for good reason!

I have a mini bottle of alyssa Ashley perfume oil, for me the best, i had years ago the EDT but that one gives me a rash, it must be the alcohol or something? Well this mini had a nice price 4,95 euro 😀 i’d wish all the perfums were that much c
