Description

Muschio Nobile is a pure, sophisticated and clear fragrance of fine white musk. The composition begins with fresh bergamot, black pepper, white tea and carrot seed. Airy floral notes of iris, jasmine, white flowers and red fruit are wrapped around the musk core. Musk is graceful and ethereal, worthy of the mythological goddess Aphrodite. After the crystal clean and fresh notes, the base performs with powdery musk, amber, benzoin and sandalwood.

It is available as Eau de Parfum in bottles of 100 ml. Muschio Nobile was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Marie Duchene.

It’s a very soft, slightly fruity and woody skin Musk on the back of my hand but kind of has a lingering musty smell when I used three sprays on front of torso. Not sure I like that. It is kind of similar to when your towel doesn’t dry out enough before you pick up and it leaves a slightly stale musty scent on your fingertips .

This smells like motel 6 bath and facial bars and baby powder. It sweetens up for just a bit but then it completely dissolved into my skin in less than an hour.

Is part of the unisex line, which has as presentation pattern the metallized label, 100ml bottles and a box whose print refers to the geometric pattern of stone façades of historical palaces, churches and cathedrals, as a tribute to Liguria, land that adopted the company.
According to the manufacturer, its output notes are bergamot, pepper, carrot seeds and white tea; in the heart, Iris, white musk, jasmine and silky notes of a white floral bouquet; at the base of the fragrance, musk, amber, sandalwood and benzoin.
It is a floral-musky, no doubt. Of all the fragrances of this unisex line that I tried, this one is the mildest (in all senses).
The biggest problem of this fragrance is the double meaning of the word Muschio, since in Italian, the word means moss and/or musk, which for us are different ingredients (both in Portuguese or in English). Only after searching, I could understand why we don’t see notes of Moss listed in the composition. Everything revolves around the musk!
The fragrance is very linear and thus behaves on the skin: smooth, silky and lightly musky. It’s not a musk of soapy or powdery characteristics and, therefore, along with the benzoin, results in a mild perfume that plays hide-and-seek all the time: one minute you feel it and, immediately after, it seems that there’s nothing else there. After a while, you smell the applied area again and there it is. This game lasts for hours, but the sillage is minimal.
I believe it is a great choice for those who work in small rooms or offices and cannot disturb the nose of others, like dentists, for example. The question that remains is: do you wanna play?

The opening on this is heavenly, it immediately reminded of the cologne my uncle wore when I was a kid. He always wore the same scent, kinda sweet for a man’s cologne but he always smelled wonderful. I never knew what it was but now I wish I did. Anyway, this opens with a fairly sweet and lovely bergamot scent with some iris that has just a touch of softened masculinity to it due to the pepper. The opening is extremely short lived then it settles into a peppery light musk (the musk is VERY light) with a tiny touch of sandalwood and amber. I am not quite sure what carrot seed smells like so maybe I am smelling it without knowing it but I am having trouble smelling any tea. But for me, almost the entire scent disappears after 15 minutes. I am left having to press my nose against my skin to smell anything and I applied 3 layers of it because I kept wanting another whiff of the gorgeous 30 second opening.
If the opening lasted this would be on my immediate to be purchased list but it literally only lasts about a minute tops and the dry down is nothing to write home about. While pleasant, it is really faint and you have to put your nose right up to it to smell it at all. And what you smell, while nice, isn’t anything to get excited over. It smells too similar to a million other fragrances. Muschio Nobile opens on a very high note but quickly fizzles into something less than memorable and disappears far too quickly to justify the price.

I really like this! For some reason It reminds me of Quelques Fleurs Royale.

I’ve finally found the musk I can’t smell. I can smell a vague hint of powdery/flowery for about 1-2 minutes, then nothing at all.

Unpretentious but very nicely blended clean musk enriched by a resiny ambery accord and soft white florals. Iris provides a slight powdery vibe which adds even more pleasure to this subtle beauty while the transparent citrusy peppery opening serves as a modern twist. If you like light scents orchestrated with potentially overwhelming notes, check this out.
Sort of an “originally bold fragrance now tamed down”. Probably not groundbreaking but it smells very very nice.
    Downside: a tad dull.

This is a very light musk, almost undetectable, it comes and goes, it’s not animalic, at the beginning it smells herbal, spicy, and then it turns into a fluffy cloud.
