Nothing is better than a crisp and juicy blackcurrant, and this one is as tart and rich as it gets. There’s an airiness to it that keeps it from being weighed down (thanks to the barbershop musk). It’s a “fruity fougere” and could be worn equally well by a man or a woman. This fragrance is unassuming and elegant.

This smells peculiarly similar to Clarins’ Eau Dynamisante on my skin’s chemistry. Sweet, clean, botanical. Very pleasant.

I don’t fancy smelling like a fruit bowl, which is what this smells like on me. Then again, that is likely the intention. Strange, but this instantly reminded me of the smell of the small Strawberry Shortcake figures I had as a child in the 80s. For blackberries, I much prefer Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay, which is fresher, and has an interesting green dry down. I didn’t think I would like that one when I tried it because berries haven’t been a hit for me in any other fragrances, but it surprised me. I tried this one out, thinking it might surprise me too, but it didn’t. On the positive, this is not overly sweet to the point of rotting, it is clear that is high quality, and the dry down is quieter and more subtle, but still very fruity – it didn’t change much for me.

    Song: Rasputina Children’s Reform Center
The words “Fruity, Musky, Sweet, Sour, Fresh” make this scent sound candylike or juvenile. It’s not. For the sake of being nitpicky, I shall opine that “musky, fruity, woodsy, fresh, warm spicy” are better adjectives for Mure et Musc Extreme.
This is a country meadow horseback ride on a glossy Chestnut mare under the bright autumn clear skies. The air is cool and crisp as the sun dapples across the changing leaves, but your body is warm from activity. You smell the dried fallen leaves overlaying pine needles, and immediately you catch wind of something like a fruity dry wine, discovering there’s a huge overgrown blackberry thicket along the edge of the clearing. Intrigued, you dismount to try one of its last fruit, but your tongue quickly tells you these berries are not for eating. Your horse judges your naivete and, ignoring your grievances, leisurely trots off back to the stables, naturally.
For everyone able to laugh at themselves while enjoying what the world has to offer.
For those looking to play, Mure et Musc Extreme lends its quirky yet suave charm most beautifully to rose dominant scents. Also pairs well with Cashmere Mist to create the ultimate clean 90s Pier 1 bath beads nostalgia, Light Blue to create an amazing woody zest, Britney Spears Fantasy to create a sensation of eating fresh whipped cream with pine jam topping as you trek through the dark, magical strawberry woodlands. Of course MeME combined with anything and everything Narciso Rodriguez will give birth to the musk of your dreams.

I went though a phase of hounding tkmaxx for L’artisans and have ended up loving all of them as though they are different, they all work well on my skin.
I bought this solely as it was a L’artisan even though the notes aren’t really my thing but this is pleasant in the morning when I have to get up early as it reminds me of picking blackberries on holiday with my step-cousins. It’s not too sharp and fizzy for the morning or overly sweet, just youthful and cheerful with a clean musky background. If this is the extreme version though the original must be really quiet as this is hardly loud…

maybe I am not putting enough of this on, but like couple min later I almost smell nothing left. It would be such a nice dry blackberry scent. not my favourite L`artisan – because of this weakness , I`d be mad if I payed a full prise for a full bottle 🙁 I will try to put larger amount on.

We are having a mini heatwave here in the uk and i am loving mure et musc extreme. I have a sample from the l’artisan sample tin and this is what I have been reaching for; previously I had overlooked it. Starts off blackberry and herby I’m sure I can smell basil, Rosemary – a mix of Mediterranean herbs and blackberry anyway, then light musk comes in to swirl it all around. So delicious on hot British days – not over the top just nice subtle fruity, herby, muskness.

To me this smells exactly like ‘Tunes’ (a cough sweet in the UK)! 😀 Blackcurrant/berry menthol… Longevity moderate, light but not weak. Overpriced, but wearable.

Oh dear! This is horrible. There is a brief blast of very life-like fruity berry. But the berry is always accompanied by something foul and stinky and when the berry fades, within seconds, all that is left is the stink.
People of a delicate disposition stop reading now… this ‘fragrance’ is a spot-on, life-like evocation of a baby’s full nappy. Sorry, it just is. First the fruity fart, and then the poop. I cannot imagine a situation where I want to smell this way but if I did I would just borrow my youngest nephew for the occasion 😉

I blindly ordered a big bottle… Batch number from 2015. The bottle and box have the typical elegance of L’Artisan… The notes, according to what is written on the bix are : blackcurrant , blackberry, woods, soft musc. That’s it .
The beginning is just wonderful, the most realistic blackberries and blackcurrants yoi can think, reminiscent of Enchanted Forest from Prince Vagabond. Juicy, fresh, delicious, unsweetened .
Unfortunately this gorgeous phase doesn’t last long, not on my skin that is…. Some skilfully blended woods mixed with musc and a hint of sweetness emerge… And this is the end of the perfume, as the musc seems to last forever but I can’t no longer sense the juiciness of the berries…. I don’t really enjoy this super clean and toned down feeling of cleanliness …
It is a high quality scent, in edp , but it disappoints me…. I wish I could hold on to those amazing opening notes …. Btut I cannot …. So here you have it, a large and fresh bottle availabe for swap……

Afraid this smells waaaay too light to call it extreme anything. Used quite a bit and could hardly smell anything. No projection on me. What I do smell, I like. The blackberries smell juicy. But again, the scent is very dainty and soft. Not what I would consider FBW, but I can see how someone who prefers something very light and fruity might find this appealing. I will continue to keep searching for something I find more suitable to my tastes. Happy smelling! 🙂

It’s more musky than fruity on my skin. I was expecting a blackberry-explosion, and I got a scent, that reminds me of Diorella in its drydown…

This was a REAL risky blind buy for a dude, but I bought a bottle because I got the 100ml bottle for about $65 and I thought it might be a nice change of pace for a guy who wears primarily ’80s masculine powerhouses. Plus it says “for women and men.”
Now here I sit, smelling just like JonBenet Ramsey.

I wanted to fall in love with this scent. On paper, it looks so good. Simple, elegant notes. Fruity but musky, so not too sweet. A classic. On me, though, it’s surprisingly sour. I know berries tend to have that effect, but I found it to be more pronounced in this than I was expecting. The sweetness was there, as was he gentle musk, but the sourness never seemed to dissipate. I’ll have to give this one another try, perhaps during a colder season. But for now, it’s just not right for my skin. Hopefully someday I can fall in love with it, though.

I bought this in the small duo collection recently from Sephora. One of the few scents I have ever owned that I strongly disliked. Upon initial application it smelled exactly like some strong mosquito preventative spray I had used…I couldn’t believe how badly it smelled! After waiting another 10 min it had dried down to a musky scent that was a decent men’s cologne. Very, very masculine. Plan to save for my son or brother. I am so disappointed.
Addendum: I “fixed” this scent, for my personal use and tolerance. Added Fresh Cream By Philosophy to warm the musc with some creamy sweetness. My son and brother may not benefit from this after all.

something about this just repulsed me so much , i know there is much love for this perfume but i can not describe why i disliked it so much , it was too cloying

The first spray is harsh and narcotic, later it develops into a sensual and unplifting scent. Blackcurrant, black berries and orange tree leaves with musk. Very simple composition and apparently customers’ favorite, but this doesn’t work for me at all. I like the scent, but it doesn’t project and doesn’t last long enough. 2 hours longevity for 125 bucks?

I ordered Falling in Love by Philosophy and it arrived this morning and when I put it on my wrist I was traumatized. Something about the way my nose picks up the chemicals in that thing felt like I was suffocating in a deep purple cloud of never-ending ear-piercing shrieks. It didn’t just smell like blackberries, it smelled like rotting rancid blackberries in a metal garbage can like the ones we used to have in New York back in the day in the sweltering summer heat and all you can smell is this so-beyond-cloying-it-needs-it’s-own-word stench of blackberry death.
Anyway, to console myself, I now have a sample of Mure et Musc Extreme on my (scrubbed raw) wrist and it feels so good, I felt like reviewing it. This is a very calm, demure and gentle blackberry and very true to its name, it’s literally blackberry and musc. It’s a very cozy and comforting smell and though it’s not sugary-sweet, at least it doesn’t make you want to rip your nose off your face and throw it in the ocean.
If you want a blackberry soliflore (solifrutti?) that smells just like the fruit, this isn’t going to be it. It’s not one of those deliciously edible scents, it’s more of a gentle, artistic reinterpretation of what a beautiful blackberry can be but I would still put it on my top 5 list of ‘best blackberry fragrances.’
Try before you buy! This is not sugary nor is it a gourmand so if that’s what you want, this isn’t going to be what you’re looking for. (But smell it anyway because it’s awesome!)

    This has impressed me.
Extreme is its own fragrance – and you don’t need to be acquainted with the original to love it, as it is perfect and interesting in its own right. It really is such a different fragrance. As a point, within the same brand, Premier Figuier Extreme is in direct relationship with its predecessor, the original, however MEME is its own character. Far sweeter, addictive, feminine.
I can’t stop smelling my wrist. This and the original Ambre are incredible offerings to the niche market, having a lady smell elegant and gorgeous while being a little cheeky and light hearted. This is musk dressed up with a deeper more currant-tinged blackberry. Fruity, but not cheap. The two notes are perfection together. Would appeal to all walks, for its simplicity, attitude and yumminess. The blackcurrent was a genius addition to ramp this girl up.

Starts off smelling like the perfume that an 8 year old at a birthday party might wear – sweeties/candies, very simplistic
Then, about half an hour into development it becomes somehow toasty and warm, slightly less sweet and rather pleasant. I can now imagine this worn on a snowy winter’s day while wearing crimson velvet. In that setting it could be quite romantic, very pleasant. Though there’s still something a bit blackberry chewitt, or wine-gum about it (sweets familiar to UK folks!), maybe even cough medicine or throat pastilles
Doubt I’d buy it, and for that red velvety vibe I’d more likely go for ‘La Fille de Berlin’ by Lutens, but I can see why Mure et Musc has always been popular, it has prettiness and charm

Mûre et Musc Extrême opens very sour fruity with citrus. First, the blackberry appears, fruity and sweet. The citrus keeps shining through. Last, the fresh red berries show up. The musk smells quite dry, sometimes even sharp. It is a good counterweight for the fruity sour notes of the berries.
The drydown reminds me of a shower gel by the Body Shop I had years ago during the 90’s. This fragrance is quite pleasant and fruity, though not my taste in a fragrance.
Sillage is soft, longevity is moderate.

The fruity floral isn’t my bag. There are a few exceptions to this habit, notably the intoxicating Badgley Mischka. I’m not starved for fruit, though. Eau de Cologne, which starts and ends with hesperedic notes, is by definition fruity, and it’s hard to dislike eau de cologne. Otherwise there are three ways that I like fruit in my perfume.
    1) The fruity chypre. Granted, chypres contain bergamot, a fruit in its own right. But in many of the great chypres of the 20th century it is the fruit that gives the genre such an enormous range of moods. It gives Rochas Femme its come-hither gaze, Diorella its hint of afternoon trysts, Chanel Cristalle its remoteness, and Prescriptives Calyx its brimming elation.  The chypre’s moss gives the fruit a long shadow, and the world settles in to a slower, more deliberate, more poised state.
    2) The woody, fruity perfumes like the Serge Lutens/Christopher Sheldrake Bois series (eg. Feminite du Bois, Bois et Fruit, Bois de Violette) and Keiko Mecheri Oliban. Dry woods/resins such as cedar and frankincense and sweet/tart fruit notes like plum and peach complement each other and have a raspy harmony.  These perfumes purr and hum.  They surround you and whisper in your ear.  Christopher Sheldrake using woody amber aromachemicals revived this form in the 1980s and made a reference point for much of current perfumery.
    3) The fruity musks. Some musks have have a berry-sweetness to them, and many fruits have  a strong musky quality, especially when they’re at the cusp of ripeness and rot. The fruit/musk pairing in perfumery feels preordained. Fruits provide a ‘flavor’ and musks add a roundness, backlighting.  In the same way that butter and cream add both richness and ‘mouth feel’ to food, the fruity musks add a set of scents and  olfactory qualities that might be called ‘nose-feel’.
So, Mure et Muscs Extreme. It is definitively fruity (blackberry) but the fruit never appears out of proportion or sickly-sweet. An astringency, a greenness runs right down the center of Mure et Musc Extreme.  It highlights the sweetness and roundness of the perfume.  It’s strong and can’t be missed, but it just highlight the berry/musk accord.  The musk is the pillow on which the fruit sits, and since the fruit and musk notes are of equal duration, Mure et Muscs lands somewhere between a top-to-bottom traditional accord and a linear one. It changes from start to finish, but most of the changes are an ongoing modulation of the original set of notes.  Different notes step forward at different times, and Mure et Musc demonstrates the best of the linear fragrance.

This opens with a musky sweetness. I occasionally get a whiff of berry but not much. It reminds me a great deal of some generic body wash. The berry comes out a bit more after the scent warms up, but it’s never very strong. This extreme version is sweeter and not as green as the regular version. I never got the petitgrain at all.
Longevity was about 4 hours before it was totally gone and sillage stayed pretty close to the skin.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Another rather simple perfume I’d call a masterpiece. It’s a high level of mastery to make such a divine composition with so little ingredients.
Basically, the name of the perfume pretty much says it all. While the original has a few more notes, the extreme version is mainly focused on the two mentioned on the bottle – blackberry and musk. There is a bit of an opening with some faint citrus, but the main thing comes very soon. For the biggest part, fragrant pyramid can be summed as a mixture of white musk, ripe blackberry and some other fruits I cannot discern(maybe red currant?). Compared to the original, the fruits are amped-up here, especially blackberry, while the muskiness makes this scent totally clean and inoffensive.
Like pretty much all the time with this brand, there is little to no projection, but this thing actually lasts for a solid six hours on my skin. I find this perfume more suitable for women – I would be delighted if I felt it on a female skin, I’m sure – but this can be worn by a man who likes fruity notes and overall clean vibe this scent gives. It is quite versatile, but I feel like its full beauty comes in spring and summer.
I said this in another review, and I’ll say it again – sometimes, simpler is better.
    9/10

A good fragrance does not absolutely have to be complex, which this one proves. It is so cheerful and likable! A tad immature, perhaps, but then aren’t we all sometimes? This one is for nights in, when one sneakily chooses a romcom over a good film. A perfect pick-me-up.

This is my go-to scent when I want something standout but not too bold, and it never fails to get compliments. I’m halfway through my third bottle. I’ve had more guys and girls tell me I “smell nice” when I wear this than anything else. It’s a berry scent that it’s not at all overbearingly sweet – a berry spritzer, not a berry pie – tempered with musk and a hint of vanilla. It’s very sophisticated and pretty. Not a scent that screams “sex” but not unsexy either.

I recently blindbought a box with six different Làrtisan scents, and this was the one I thought would be my favourite..but it is quite the opposite.
It is one of the worst perfumes I have ever smelt, and it doesn`t really improve on my skin either. It stays harsh. Big disappointment, and where is the musc? It smells of rotten fruit..

  31. :

My hopes to find a blackberry scent in this fragrance are failed. It rather smells something like red berries than blackberry. Almost the same as an original one. I even don’t want to compare. Disappointment.

i have been wearing this fragrance for 2 years. i like the simplicity of the notes, ‘mure et musc’. i mix the the Extreme edp with original edt as i found original edt is slightly musky (suitable for men, or girls like uni-sex scent) and the Extreme edp is slightly fruity. Once both mixed up, the balance is there. highly recommend if you have both. i got compliments from men and women.
besides that, i can truly feel all the ingredients produced from l’artisan parfumer are natural, rather than generic, appreciate that!

Mure Et Musc is a fruity fragrance with moderate longevity & sillage. It is most suitable for casual day wear. The musk is not so strong, the fruity notes dominate. Berries are not fresh smelling, they are a little sharp & sour, as if overly ripe or fermented. It seems the berries perished on their way to the factory ). It is a sweet scent, but it is neither sugary nor fruity sweetness, it has winy sweetness. Overall it would be nice, different fruity perfume if not that rotten aspect which develops into more disgusting smell in a few hours. Mure et Musc Extreme was meant both for women & men. But I can’t imagine a man wearing this kind of perfume. The original Mure et Musc EDT was more suitable for men, as it was dry, musky, slightly fruity and less sweet – a real unisex perfume. Ironically the EDT was meant only for women. Mure et Musc Extreme is less musky & more fruity and sweet. It is extreme in terms of fruits. I think the EDP was created for those people who didn’t find the EDT version fruity enough. And now people who loved the EDT for its musk dominance don’t find the EDP musky enough to be called extreme. As to me I don’t like fruity perfumes so much and I prefer the original EDT version.
Note: I don’t advise to use it in Spring time or in Summer. You had better use it in Winter. I have 100 ml of this perfume of disappointment. And I have found out that In cold weather it behaves better and that “rotten fruits” side is not so obvious.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I wanted to love this, like I did with the original Mure et Musc. However, there is too much sweet blackberry (and it really DOES smell like ripe blackberries btw), and not enough musk now. The blackberries dominate too much, drowning out the musk even after 6.5 hours on me. Can they make the musk more extreme please?

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I’m surprised that nobody mentions pepper as a note – when I’m spraying it onto my skin, pepper appears immediatly, together with the mouthwatering berries. Musk enters only after hours into the picture.
Longevity is – considered that is a L’Artisan – is very good, it last the whole day on my skin (second best from the same designer – no. 1 in this area is Tea for Two).
It is a very nice scent, I can wear it both in summer and winter time.

    This perfume has two faces:
A menthol, camphor, benzoin like scent makes a big 30 minute entrance. It stays in the spotlight for about 4 hours, slowly fading away, allowing the berries who have been accompanying the performance to take over.
Musk finally steps up on stage with the berries and together they sing the audience to sleep. (By that I mean it’s a berry & musk skin scent. For about another 4 hours.)
    Sexy allegory:
Nerdy nurse with analgesic muscle and joint pain cream turns into discrete sweet minx.
    Personally:
I use Tea Tree shampoo twice a week or so, it smells like medicated back rub too. Mure et Musc Extreme is a perfect pairing in this instance!
    ____________________________________
    EDIT: Nov-2-2012
I’ve had the chance to really get to know this scent over the months since my original review. In the benzoin opening I mentioned (after the first 30 minutes), there is what seems to be a green white flower, I assume it’s the petit grain, kinda smells like a lily. It’s there for the whole life of this fragrance.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

It’s a little menthol/minty in the beginning, however that note doesn’t last that long. Then it’s basically berries and musk. Later, through the day the scent warms up. I like it! 🙂

It made me think to something very familiar to me, but I didn’t remember it, until, suddenly… Does anyone Know about Roger&Gallet soaps? To me, it’s exactly to the Bouquet Imperial Soap. Amazing this discovering, anyway, in any case I DON’T considere it as a serious fragance.

  39. :

I dont know if i have a crazy nose or something but this scent literally made me want to vomit – i got a strong aroma of sweaty, dirty bum (seriously, i kid you not. Does no-one else get this?) laced with sickly sweetness. Literally like someone had poured some sweet, syrupy gloop down a sweaty, dirty bum-crack. Thats the mental picture i got with every sniff, and couldnt shake off (no wonder i wanted to vomit, right?). I think the musk notes in this must be the animaly, dirty type musk? (rather than the soapy, clean white musks im used to). And the sweet notes.. i have no idea what they are, but for someone who loves vanilla, pink sugar etc theyre just way too synthetically nausiatingly sweet even for me. So yeah, for a scent i was dying to sample and thought i would LOVE this turned out to be a wholly unpleasant experience. I NEVER want to have to smell this odour again. Actually, i tell you what else it reminded me of: when someone has been in the bathroom and, erm, stunk it out, and then sprayed a load of cheap sickly dewberry airfreshener to cover it up, but it just mingles into a sweet, poopy, dirty, gag-reflexing stench. Yup, thats Mure et Musc in a nutshell for me. 🙁

  40. :

What’s extreme about what essentially smells like the body shops pleasant teeney Dewberry is beyond me. The price, however, could be considered so!

  41. :

You really can smell the blackberry and the musk in this one. It’s fresh and not too sweet but after a while I started to find the blackberry a little too persistent and prominent for my liking.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

Fot something with extreme in the name, I find this rather light, simple, and sedate. I had to empy my entire sample vial to smell much of anything and when I did all I could smell were slightly soured fruits and very light musk. Indeed, I agree with sherapop’s fermented fruit description, this is almost like (extremely) diluted sangria. Still, it’s refreshing to find a floral fruity that doesn’t rot the teeth with sweetness, I just think the Extreme wording is misused here.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

Mure et Musc Extreme is a scent you’d better to test at least twice before drawing any finite conclution. I love it when it behaves nicely. I’m surprised that it smells so different now.
    —-
The odd bad first time: After I put one drop of it on me, I smelt a blast of weird, unnaturally twisted fruity scents oddly singing off-tune to me. It was like an night mare, ‘bugspray?’! it gave me a much worse headache than some really cheap sugary-plastic-out-on-your-face-synthetic ‘pink’ commercial perfume can do.
Then it went through an odd sweet stage, which makes me uncomfortable. It’s a vague sweetness, kinda floral, and nauseas to me.
However, the dry down is to die for, it’s the type of clean musk I love, something really similar to Lanvin Jeanne Lanvin’s dry down. Clean, slightly ink-y smelling musk.
    —-
    The good times:
(It’s about 12C this time, 3-4C colder than the other ‘bad’ testing day)
Loving the dry down,so I’ve put on Mure et Musc Extreame again today.
The opening is totally different! There’s at most 5 seconds of lovely juicy genuine blueberry smell(not sweetened, just natural blueberry smell you can smell from a punet of real blueberries), and then it transformed to something cirtrusy with a little bit spicy hint, something reminds me a lot of dry orange-peel/old fashioned good cologne kinda spicy(eg. Dior Eau Sauvage).
Then it smells creamier(as in vanilla creamy) and sweeter, all in a pleasant way.
Later on, there’s a Bang!,the pseudo-vanilla scent and the cirtrusy residual have transformed into the ink-y musk, smells clean, innocent, and at the same time really addictive and sensual.
Highly recommended if you love clean musk, the dry down is to tie for.
If it disappointed you by its opening, maybe give it another chance, it might bloom on you at a slightly different temperature.

Somewhat oddly, L’Artisan Parfumeur MURE ET MUSC EXTREME is a much simpler composition than the original MURE ET MUSC. Here the opening has a sweet fermented fruity aspect which reminds me a bit of palm wine. EXTREME features dark fruits with a decidedly boozy demeanor, but not in a complex or interesting way.
I really have no interest in smelling like anything even vaguely reminiscent of low-grade sweet wine. Although the edp does have somewhat better staying power, EXTREME is definitely not for me.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

The first moments are beautiful. Pure and airy (but on me definitely not too light, a few gentle dabs is all I need), refreshing and even energizing. Gorgeous, slightly sweet musk and a bit sharp/sour fruity notes – what a lovely combination.
On me this is pretty well lasting (as musk often does), but unfortunately the blackberries (and this should be clarified, really, because while the list of notes here states “blueberries”, Luckyscent.com says “blackberries”. Myself – I would be inclined to believe Luckyscent, for blackberries are the fruit with slightly wild, dark, sour zing, while blueberries tend to be quite quietly :-)sweet)…anyway…the fruit in this scent continues to stretch out and expand until the invigorating effect on my skin becomes quite irritating in later stages.
I do like this fragrance. I would wear it if given a bottle, but if I was to pay for a good musk, I would choose one that I can adore from the beginning till the end (update: after wearing it a whole day, this one is actually starting to annoy me)

I love blueberries and musk, but for some reason this fragrance is not working for me. It is not juicy or sweet, nor is it earthy and musky. There is a sharp “bug spray” note that comes across on my skin, and I am wondering if it is the black currant.

At first this is a lolly-sweet sugary blackberry scent, cannot smell musk or anything else. Disgusting.

I used to think I didn’t like fragrances containing or -even worse- built around a berry note. Thanks to this scent, now I know better.
It’s simply gorgeous. It’s the simple, sunny, mouthwatering smell of ripe blueberries against a light musk base. No unnecessary additions here to steal the show or make it smell cheap or girlie. It’s pretty potent, sillage and longevity are both remarkable. Just lovely!

I tried the Mure et Musc Extreme fragrance today and I definitely smell the sweet fruits in it, it is lightly gourmand. Slightly spicy. The Musk is not too strong, it’s not as musky as I thought it would be… and that’s a good thing. The fruit dominates throughout.
As it dries down any sharpness in the fragrance settles down, and it becomes more berry-sweet, but not a cloying sweet. It’s like natural blackberry/blueberry pie filling with spices. Good for playful or casual relaxed days and weekends.
All my talk about sweet berries makes this sound very sweet, but it is really only medium sweet, the berry notes used are not sugary… more naturally sweet.
I need a naturally sweet nectar scent, and this one is a top contender, for it’s niche, in my consideration to buy one. Naturally refreshing. I like it.

There is a lot of blackberry in this one, more than the Mure et Musc original. In the original the citrus notes dominate, in this one the blackberry dominates. It’s a very nice summer fragrance, juicy but not sweet, refreshing and cooling. Although, I thought since this is the extreme it would be more complex, but it really isn’t. I find this scent unique, anyway, because I haven’t known of too many perfumes that feature a blackberry note, or at least a prominent and well done blackberry note.
