This is a simple rather lovely vanilla based perfume. The perfume contains (like most Profumum offerings) only three or four really discernible but very natural smelling notes. In this case, it is a central vanilla, surrounded by citrusy orange blossom, jasmine and tonka bean. The smell is supposed to replicate the popular Swiss dessert meringue. Unisex (feminine leaning)!with moderate to strong projection and very good lasting power. Unfortunately a bit too exclusive ( exclusive for Osswald) and too pricey for what it offers, so I will have to pass. But those into soft florals or vanilla based scents will find much to love here. Enjoy!

If a 10-year-old girl could design her perfect perfume, this would be it.
Think bright pink, Barbie doll, Bubblicious bubble-gum.
It smells of sweeties, like fruit salads or black jacks.
Actually, what it really, really smells like… is fizzy cherryade. Not cherry cola, but cherry lemonade, it’s EXACTLY that smell (go sniff some!)
The opening and linear middle is as described. Where this perfume actually becomes quite nice is on the dry-down. I had sprayed my wrists all day with it and it lasts on the skin so it was there when I went to bed. I actually woke in the middle of the night thinking how nice that smell on my wrist was. Very comforting.
So for men, this is a definite no-no. It’s not only feminine, it’s girly.
Perhaps this would be nice on a lover lying next to you.
But I certainly would never try or buy again, it simply lacks any sophistication.

I love this floral gourmand fragrance – it’s a frothy vanilla, orange blossom and jasmine concoction that is simply delicious! From the Oswald’s website this fragrance was inspired by a popular Swiss meringue and whipped cream dessert known as Meraengge. Soft, light, airy but has a wonderful sweet sillage with great longevity. Great for layering too.

I’ve worn this on several occasions – in fact, I’m wearing it today. I get a smidge of lemon in the beginning, then it’s all vanilla with a little jasmine. I agree with brandonmont, it’s definitely not lemon pie. If anything, it reminds me a bit of Profumum Vanitas. Not full bottle worthy for me, but I’ll enjoy my decant.

Cozy vanilla with white florals. Smells nothing like a lemon pie or Chanel Edition Blanche like some have suggested. This stuff lasts forever. The smells is very pretty, for lack of a better word. I do find it somewhat feminine but I still wear it. The vanilla fights to keep it masculine enough.

I get a vanilla/jasmine combo, jasmine taking over after drydown. Sillage is average, not a beast like others from this house, but with this fragrance you wouldn’t want it beastly. Very nice….somewhat feminine but works on me pretty well.

I’ve been waiting for Fragrantica to add this one for a long time because it really deserves some recognition. Meringa is Chanel’s Allure Homme Edition Blanche on steroids. Really it’s more than that, but to put it succinctly, Meringa is a nuclear strength lemon meringue pie fragrance that lasts for hours and hours while possessing the ability to announce your presence from across the room with just a few hardy spritzes. Fortunately, it smells absolutely wonderful and any attention it does attract is likely to be positive. Meringa is driven by a rich and creamy lemon/vanilla combination and features floral accents, specifically a sweet, fragrant jasmine accord that does an excellent job of ensuring this never touches “furniture polish” territory, a place in which any strong, lemon-dominant fragrance has the unfortunate potential of landing. However, there is enough going on in Meringa to avoid this completely. I get more jasmine than orange blossom as far as florals are concerned, though orange blossom is indeed at play, lending a fresh dimension of clean whites to the overall picture. Still, I would be tempted to label this a gourmand, as it is clearly centered around the impression of lemon meringue pie. While the lemon notes open rather sharply, they settle in for the heart which is more an equal balance of lemon and vanilla, with the floral accents previously described. Meringa is a linear scent for the most part, its final stages drawing forth more of the vanilla and tonka while the lemon and florals fade away.
Meringa was an exclusive sold through Osswald’s of New York City, an upscale niche fragrance store which carries many other Profumum Roma scents as well. Continuing in Profumum Roma’s style, Meringa has incredible projection and longevity and the ingredients feel deep, bold, and luxurious. It is a relatively simple scent, but executes well and nails the lemon meringue pie theme with ease. It feels slightly opulent, though it can be worn in casual situations as well. It walks exactly along the unisex divide. I think this is a great release by Profumum and recommend it for sampling. If you’re a fan of Edition Blanche you will probably like this as well. Thumbs up 8.5 out of 10.

Profumum Roma Meringa is an exclusive release for Osswald (of Switzerland and NYC) released in 2015 and is based on the concept of the meringue dessert dish, commonly understood in the US via lemon meringue pie.
Meringa, in contrast to that pie, involves vanilla, tonka, jasmine, and not lemon but rather orange blossom, so while it’s nonetheless a creamy, sweet, citrus blend, it’s a different citrus from what I’ve recently been accustomed to in Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche and Dua Fragrances Vanilla Lemon Gelato.
Meringa is certainly quite refined, and smoothly blended, as neither the sweeter vanilla and tonka nor the sharper floral, citrus orange blossom dominate the other. The inclusion of jasmine does help this in leaning slightly feminine, though I’d argue it’d lean feminine even without the inclusion of this note. For me, orange blossom is always a more feminine alternative to standard citrus (bergamot, orange, lemon, grapefruit) ingredients that are more wholly gender-neutral.
Performance is impressive for a conceptually “light” (even a dessert) fragrance, so with respect to both how it projects (with only one small spray on each arm, in my case) and lasts (it doesn’t stop kicking for hours). Still, I overall prefer the lemon fragrances mentioned above to Meringa, not to mention that they’re substantially more affordable, as Meringa has the standard Profumum Roma pricing of $250 for 100ml EDP.

I just received a 10 ml decant of this scent today it’s a very linear vanilla and tonka bean with a touch of jasmine to my nose really nice. Reminds me a lot of Ylang by M.Micallef minus the beautiful fruity notes and mint in Ylang however this is much stronger but Ylang to me is more interesting.

Very nice fragrance with high quality, but the truth needs to be said. There are no similarities to any pie, not a super gourmand, Meringa is just sweet and also does not look like the Chanel Blanche. Perfume for low temperatures, due to the high concentration used by the perfumer. Evolution takes a long time to happen as well. However, as said above, it is a very tasty, sweet aroma in measure, luxurious, something that is characteristic of the house and slightly floral.

This is the cousin of Battito d’Ali, but tbh I like Battito better, it was just more original in smell.
I feel both of them lean towards the feminine side. Don’t get me wrong, unlike Dulcis or Vanitas, this one is not sweet, it smells like a pastry but its not overbearingly sweet like the others mentioned. I had very high hopes this could be AH Edition Blanche with Profumum notorious performance but sadly this wasn’t the case. Performance is ok, but not beast. I wish it didn’t have so much vanilla and had more lemon instead.

Scent – vanilla, lemon & dried jasmine.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, day or night.
    Projection – I didn’t get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
    Longevity – I get 24hrs consistently.

I THINK I could best describe this gourmand scent by making reference to a a lemon cake or the uncooked batter of! It’s almost edible! I accidently layered this with Battito by the same house and it blew my mind.
at least now I don’t have to choose one or the other.
    They work so well together
I have Sorisso too and they all have the best performance! I want to explore more from Roma because I can justify large price tags when the concentration of raw materials is so high. 40% I’m told. That’s almost twice the standard 22% for edp and 15% for edt.
    Good value, GREAT scents.
