I really dont like this. Its smells like a cheap nasty mess. Dont get me wrong, Ill wear cheap perfumes when they are made well. I wear the heck out of Britney & Paris but this is gross & stomach turning. I think if someone passed me wearing this Id gag. Im not upset I bought it tho, as I believe PETA gets something out of it. So thats the only good thing I can say about this perfume.

I’ve always liked Pamela Anderson and her devotion to PETA. Malibu Day is delicious…in an upscale resort on the beach kind of way, not a suntan lotion kind of way. The bottle is gorgeous, the juice is a beautiful blue, plus it smells wooooonderful. I mean this is just a stunning package all the way around! It becomes more of a skin scent, but the longevity is good. Excellent blind buy!

    What a surprise!
No this does not smell like viva la juicy, and I can still smell it on me after a shower.
It’s definitely beachy, sexy and sweet but not too sweet or overbearing and a little salty.
the praline and red berries come out in the drydown along with a odd salty caramel smell.
If your looking for beachy and sweet I would recommend 100%
Amazing for the price I paid.

Pam has some balls because I smell fish in this especially the body lotion. It is only for a second but it is a seaweed fishy aroma. If you dont pay attention it is gone but it is there at the beginning. She did this before womanity came out. I cannot understand why this was discontinuef? I never got to try the pink 1. The money helped Peta so it is a shame this was a really nice perfume.

Such an underrated gem. Malibu draws comparisons to a Juicy Couture release– and while I concede it comes off as kinda sorta reminiscent of the kind of thing they’d put out, I don’t get the need to readily associate it with anything in their corral.
Malibu is certainly (and obviously) a “beachy” scent, specifically meant to be evocative of the beaches of Malibu that Pamela Anderson calls home. But it’s her interpretation of beachy that’s so intriguing. Malibu isn’t chipper and sunny, nor in my opinion is it overtly sensual. It hovers in a pensive dreamy place, even delving slightly into mournful territory. For those of you who avoid celebrity releases– and trust me: I don’t blame you– I strongly suggest looking into Malibu (and its sibling “Malibu Night”; the pink bottle). There’s a portion of intelligence here. There’s nuance and a bit of depth. An element of innocence and girlish fun going head-to-head with the crashing waves, the power of the ocean. The play of the gourmandish praline note against the curtain of salty surf is low-key mystifying.
According to press statements concerning Miss Anderson’s foray into the world of fragrance, apparently Pamela’s been mixing and messing with essential oils on her own for years and had a great deal of say in the final product. I wonder what exactly was on her mind when she came up with Malibu… Most of us will never know what it’s like to live in such a place; we’re perpetually on the outside looking in. It’s a playground for celebrities and the wealthy– but what is that life really like? Money and mansions can only serve as a balm for the soul for so long. They don’t last forever. What happens when the opulence no longer works to satisfy that spiritual longing on the inside?
    Ah, but I digress…
Back to Malibu. Unfortunately it doesn’t have as much lasting power as one would like. But on the plus side it’s made with all natural ingredients and isn’t tested on animals (If I’m not mistaken the fragrance does qualify as organic). And a full sized bottle costs almost nothing. Safe to blind-buy.

A pretty scent that is weak in silage & longevity even with considerable spraying .
So it becomes a nice skin scent !
First I get a sweetness that reminds me of walking into a candy store , after awhile Honeysuckle appears .But I don’t consider it t be a white floral .
Nothing like I’d expect a scent called Malibu to smell like, or a scent by Pamela Anderson .
Affirming do not judge a scent til you try it .I like it and for the price can spray away 🙂

Very similar for me to Hugo boss deep red. Sweet and sophisticated with that play doh vanilla like smell from pure poison. Very different to the other celebrity gourmonds and not tested on animals to boot. A vegan gem.

This is pretty nice, the scent is really unique too in how it’s constructed. Reminds me a tiny bit of hot couture by givenchy. It does turn a bit sour upon settling on the skin however which may be my skin chemistry. Great bargain though

Found this fabulous club and started reading and searching the pages early this summer. I found this little bottle of heaven thru e-bay and with the guide of your reviews purchased for a song! Bliss, and guilt free on the expense. This isn’t serious perfume, but fun, easy, juicy, playful, and yes ‘buxom’, just like the lady herself. I loved the idea of being transported to a Cali beach and this does it!
The first wave is fruity, and now in less than five minutes I get a bit of ocean spray aquatic fresh. I do smell honeysuckle, and about 10 minutes in, it gets creamy and surprisingly warm and cuddly, like a cashmere blanket around a campfire warmth.
This is a bright addition to my wardrobe. I will see if she is ‘fall’ weather worthy, but I expect is just what it promised to be, a nice day at the beach.

It is a beach fragrance, indeed! I loved it at the beginning but it turned salty on my skin which is a real shame. It is sweet and sunny but not tropical, nothing extravagant or anything like that, but definitely a summer scent, great for daily wear. When I smelled it I immediately thought about the beach of Malibu.

Sweet sweet summer scent. This does transport you to Malibu Beach in California on a summer’s day. I’ve been there and I wish I could have smelled this on more women. Easily mistaken for Viva La Juicy but I find that this scent is even more gourmand- ish. It’s got vanilla of course doing it’s thing: giving the fragrance a long lasting strength, a sweetness and lack of muskiness. The fragrance is a honeysuckle that has a lot of sweet stuff around it like berries caramel praline and sweet mandarin. There’s also aldehydes (not listed) and probably just a touch more of citric notes as it begins. I believe the white flowers are freesia and jasmine but this jasmine is shy. This is all about the gourmand scents of caramel and vanilla. But this also has sandalwood and amber which is found in the best perfumes so it’s like Pam knew that she could not make this fragrance too sweet and too innocent or too suited to teenager girls. This is a woman’s perfume but a woman who is playful flirty sweet and seductive in a way that does not have to include being slutty. I don’t find this slutty at all. It’s a whisper of sex. A light touch of feminine allure that promises something more for another day. It’s a perfect first date fragrance. Guys have complimented me when I wear this. I’m wearing this next Sunday on Valentines Day. Thank You Pamela Anderson.

Where’s the Beach? Aside from the marketing? It’s a fruity floral gourmand and a light one at that. Nothing about these notes say beach to me. Pam Anderson is All About The Beach. The color of the fume screams beach. The scent? I dunno? Never thought of the beach as sweet and there is no coconut here .. Revlon’s Charlie Gold Eau Fraiche is Way more Suntan in a bottle. However, I agree that the scent is delicious. Shame Pam didn’t make more. She does fruity gourmand justice by not going too sugary candy. Of course, Pam Anderson Malibu isn’t appealing to young girls it seems but to women .. and men who can appreciate her perfume and aren’t afraid to wear it. For me? Require something much more heavy. This can’t carry me out in public. However, thankfully I am home a lot and this is great for around the house (or by our pool. HA) Maybe that is the beach part .. it is light and lends itself to tropical drinks not eggnog and sweaters.

Am on my second bottle of this and I pretty much agree with the majority. Major highlights are…
Scent itself – Smells great! I’d give it a 9/10
The longevity & sillage are the weakness of the product.
    Longevity – I get about 3.5 hours.
Sillage – Only radiates about 1.5-2 feet off your skin.
Overall, the scent smells great and it IS a very cheap price, so I will probably continue to buy bottle after bottle for my collection. But due to sillage & longevity lacking…I don’t reach for it as often as I would if it lasted double as long as it does.
Nevertheless…for making something great smelling and actually UNIQUE… I’ll give Pamela a thumbs up on this one. 😀

Smells like a watered down version of Viva la juicy by juicy couture :/ meh.

    The pros:
-A percentage of every purchase goes to PITA. Which is awesome.
-Has no synthetics (which is also a con… But I’ll get to that)
    -Not tested on animals (yay!)
-Very pretty, beachy, intriguing scent. It really does smell like what you would imagine Malibu to smell like. A dreamy not-a-care-in-the-world fantasy land.
-Gorgeous bottle. Interesting geometric design, but not overdone. It’s like a simple beachy gemstone.
    The cons:
-When one makes a fragrance with no synthetics the palette becomes very limited. In this case the perfume is affected in weird ways. Lower shelf life (in my opinion), not much longevity or sillage, etc.
-Like I said, not much longevity. Dissapears very quickly- which is a shame because it smells wonderful.
-No real sillage. If you spray this on, you’re the only one who’s gonna smell it. And even that is elusive.
In short, because of it’s low price it’s worth trying. Perhaps you’ll have better results.

Just got this today and I must say I was amazed at how much I love this scent! I live on the Coast and am at the beach all the time. This screams beach to me. I get the coconutty, suntanning while sipping a tropical drink vibe from this perfume. I love it. I plan to order another because it’s $20 bucks right now. I sure wish she had a better launch for this because I never even knew she had a fragrance. I enjoy that it isn’t floral. So many florals give me a headache, and I hate that because I love flowers. I don’t even know why it happens but it does. Totally worth it guys.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

This is very floral on my skin:osmanthus, honeysuckle, magnolia, beach salt, amber and watery grape, and something else I can’t place-maybe a little honey and iris. On my skin I don’t see the connection to Viva La Juicy, which is much more citrusy to my nose, but it seems from reading these reviews that Malibu’s scent varies dramatically according to the wearer’s skin chemistry. On my skin, the drydown of Malibu is cozy-sandlewood-amber and a bit of vanilla. This perfume travels all over the place with different notes highlighted at different times. It has weak lasting power but since I got mine on Christmas clearance for $2.75 (Big Lots)I don’t mind respraying often.

This is sticky sweet caramel, and I love it! It’s sweet and tangy. This is like candy, and the ocean mixed together. It’s like sitting on the beach eating sticky caramel and Sweetarts. The bright blue color of the juice matches the ocean perfectly.
They should come out with a third Malibu, and call it Malibu Gold. It would have yellowgold juice, and smell like champagne and ginger ale.

I’m a sucker for gourmands, or anything sweet with vanilla, caramel, praline, cotton candy, etc… And this doesn’t fit for me. Maybe since it’s discontinued I have a sour/bad bottle? All I get is honeysuckle and florals. Blech. No sweetness at all. Oh well. It was cheap on ebay.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

i think this smells like summer in a somewhat coconut way. its is reminiscent of an aqua cool water type smell yet it is deeply embedded with praline vanilla and caramel. if you want a scent to remember the summer with then this is it. the scent is very feminine and sexy it is light and yet sensual at the same time. for a summer fragrance in the parfum the sillage is amazing. A good perfume for the price 🙂

  22. :

Do not waste your money on this perfume! It’s very veryy boring, doesn’t last, and is a cheap dupe of Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy..As well as the cheap dupe La Vida Loca Perfume..

  23. :

    4 out of 5

To me, this opens up very similar to Viva la Juicy mixed with a bit of saltiness and berries. It quickly goes vanilla caramel and stays there. I knew when I ordered this it basically followed the same Caramel-Praline-Vanilla-sandalwood-Amber recipe so many others are copying now (Fancy, Viva la Juicy, VS Noir Tease)and I was hoping this would have a different twist from those fragrances. Don’t ask why, I’m either optimistic or delusional. But no, this gets lumped into the list of things that all smell alike with not enough of a unique characteristic to matter. I’ll say that I like this, but I like the other 27 perfumes that are out right now that smell just like this too. Silage and longevity are not that great, I have to put my nose right on my arm to smell it after about an hour and even them I think I taste it more then smell it. Bottom line- it’s nice, it’s summery, it’s cheap. If you have anything in what I call the “Brat pack perfume pyramid” already in your collection, you probably don’t need this one.

I recently got this perfume and it smells amazing, it’s girly and beachy, I can smell the sweet praline and a hint of honeysuckle and caramel in it and then a floral flower. Excellent for summer days, it’s soft and sweet and powder scent. My new signature scent. And the bottle is so cute and girly.

A huge thank you to smile4thecamera for sending me Malibu Day and Malibu Night samples. After taking the time to sample both, I definitely prefer Malibu Day. The first time I tried it, I wasn’t sure it was for me, but now I can’t get enough of it. I’m actually sad that my sample is gone. I can see myself purchasing a full bottle in the future.

This perfume seems to react with body chemistry to smell quite differently on different people. On me, it is a sweet, thick, honeysuckle/vanilla/amber. On my daughter it smells nearly gourmand, with the caramel and praline dominating the other notes. On both of us it is very lovely. I would say the sillage is soft in the cooler weather of the winter, but I bet this will be a nice medium-sillage perfume when the weather is warmer. This doesn’t smell much like anything I can compare it to, which is nice! It’s a little distinctive.

I will be the first to admit that the first time I tried this perfume I HATED it or so I thought. But then I thought I would give it another shot because of my extreme LOVE of her other perfume Malibu Night. The conclusion I came to was that the day I tried this the first time I had also tried 6 other perfumes and must have mistaken it for one of the others. I LOVE this perfume. On me this lasts 6+ hours and smells of powdery caramely pralines with a touch of honeysuckle. So delicious in fact that I cannot get enough and have been reaching for this more and more lately. It is the perfect summer fragrance but I would wear this in any season. I need to invest in the 3.4 oz bottle now because my 1.7 oz bottle will surely be gone in no time!!! Delish!!!!!

i really enjoy wearing this sweet scent. it’s not over-powering, nice for day or work and it lasts over 5 hrs on me, which really surprized me. i wore it to work and received many compliments on this one. its candy sweet, but florally subdued and yet you get a bit of citrus and musk too. nice.

  32. :

I am actually very impressed, this is a really nice scent. I would describe it as soft spicy & powdery, the staying power is horrible but its a very lovely fragrance.
Edit: I noticed that it dies down to JUST MUSK, I am starting not to like musk. This scent is so lovely in the beginning that I want to add it to my favorite shelf, but since it changes and goes to musk I can not do that 🙁 Gosh I was sooooooo loving this.

I enjoyed the fragrance, but the smell just would not last beyond 30 minutes. I received many complements from men when I wore it though. Lastly, PETA gets some of the proceeds from every sale of this perfume which is awesome.

This perfume smells exactly like Paris Hilton’s Siren. It is a little like Sunkissed Glow by J Lo. I love the smell but it just will not stay on my skin no matter how much I spray. Interesting to see if more reviewers agree or they find it lasts. It is very beachy and has a dry sandy smell. I would like to try the pink one but I have not seen it here in Australia. I would recommend it but I hope it lasts on your skin because I have struggled, could just be my skin. Nice perfume.

i love Pamela… she’s a great woman and she loves animals so mutch and is doing really important things to change the minds and behaviour of humans to animals over the world.
the perfume sounds delicious.. unfortunately didn t find on ebay… i m very willed to purchase this blind.
otherwise i can t undertsand the ignorance of people who do support perfumes from cruel furlovers as JLo and Naomi Campell. they could have the marvelloust perfume ever, i would pass over it for shure.

Malibu Day is a carefree floral fruity gourmand with an abundance of red berries in it’s opening act. Although orange and honeysuckle are listed, they take a back seat to the berries. Scattered in stage two is a spray of white flowers that tone down the berries a bit. A huge wave of sweetness is encountered in stage three when the praline and caramel surface until the sandalwood, amber and a small amount of vanilla complete the composition to a satisfying state. Simplistic in its nature, this by all means is not a ground breaking fragrance, however, considering the theme of the scent along with the low price range per bottle, for kicks it’s worth trying this physically energizing and somewhat impish scent for beach getaways and casual outdoor occasions. There are a slew of similar scents available but to date Malibu Day is one of the best. This is a super light scent with an almost 3 hour wear.
Twofold-tip: Apply a small dab of organic coconut oil before spraying to lessen the sweetness and extend the longevity.
