“For Ma Flamme I wanted to create an animalistic perfume, a sensual and burning amber, in the image of their exclusive and passionate love. The spiciness of bergamot contrasts with the aromatic vapors of absinthe and Russian sage, both sweet and herbaceous, coming to distill a bit of Slavic soul, like a wink to Gala’s origins. The enticing and voluptuous amber with the red rose from Turkey, symbol of an infinite and passionate love combine in perfect harmony orchestrated by the richness of the base, where the velvety and captivating tones of the carnal suede ally with the character of the essence of cistus. A perfume like a loving embrace, without restraint” – explained Alexandra Carlin, the perfumer of the Ma Flamme composition.
The fragrance belongs to DALIGRAMME COLLECTION and its available in 100ml eau de Parfum flacons from 2017.

Salvador Dali producing exclusive and niche-oriented perfumes? This is certainly the first question that many (including me) have had when they discover that the brand is targeting this market. But just look at the numbers and realize that the mass market and celebrity perfumes have been parked or even shrunken while the exclusive and selective perfume only grows every year. And certainly to diversify its revenues and capture part of that market the brand began to target since 2015 in a more selective profile.
Daligramme is his second exclusive collection, one with a more accessible positioning than the first one launched in 2015. The idea here is to explore as concept the instantaneous and fulminating love that happened between Dali and Gala as a kind of perfumes as secret messages of love and complicity between the couple. From the descriptions and notes it is possible to perceive that the perfumes tell a progressive story, being Ma Flamme the second episode of this saga.
By name, notes, and inspiration he imagined it to be an intense spice and sweeping leather, but the perfumer responsible for creation chose to celebrate the commencement of immediate complicity between the two, capturing a very brief moment in that narrative. Ma Flamme seems to combine the masculine and feminine universe with a more delicate suede leather, subtly animálico and that is wrapped in a fresh and spicy aroma, in which a green and slightly bitter chord of absinthe is created that is made to honor the Slavic origins of Gaia. Not all the flames are the same and what Ma Flamme seems to me to celebrate is a greenish red color, hot but small, beginning to form. An intimate yet exotic scent in its essence.

Starts out with a peppery blast that soon sweetens to a warm rosy amber with a bit of that suede thrown in.
This entire range is very well blended – none of the notes are overly dominant. More like they combine to give a feeling – an aura, that is different at a distance than it is up close. This one’s aura is very warm and elegant – it isn’t heavy or suffocating.
There’s an unctuousness, some kind of give to it. Not juicy but almost. Yielding but with a solid heart.
All of the Daligrammes are very well done. I think this is my favourite of them all.

Amber, rose, and pepper.
It’s a spicy rose with doses of amber, some pepper, and chili. Absinth, sage, & suede are there. it’s kind of hot as pepper.
