Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a Winner!!
I’ve set up a biweekly entertainment of ordering a near-dozen samples from Demeter Fragrance Library to test. Lychee for the win, this round.
Perfect blend of sparkling fruit and floralcy. There are more expensive loukhoum perfumes out there, and Demeter’s Turkish delight gives them a run for their money. Rosewater and peony harmonize mellifluously in this crystalline dessert.
While the wear-time is roughly 2 hrs, I’d also like to point out the absence of amber, patchouli, and other nauseating fixative base-notes in most frags. Simple, fresh, and clean-feeling.

Realistic lychee note — in the opening especially it has just the right mix of sweet, tropical, and sour. The drydown is a bit more generic with the scent as it fades but it is still a good approximation of the note. I just wish the opening has lasted because that is perfect. Also seems to be a bit of musk in the dry down. Lasts 2 hours, good summer casual scent and good for layering.

Lychee is one of my favourite fruits, so I expected a lot from this cologne.
First thought was – “..smells like some cheap, bittery perfume”. After some time it got better, but I still think this is a bit too “heavy”. I expected it to be more “fruity”, sweet, sour and delicate. It is not. Instead I can scent some menthol..
And it is gone after an hour.

Smells like real Lychee fruit not too sweet. Adore the smell of Lychee fruit. I couldn’t get enough of this when I was growing up. My favourite from the Demeter line. You can layer this with many other scents for a more summery tropical touch. I like one note perfumes because you can layer or wear on their own and it stays clean and fresh. Fades but the bottle is small enough to carry with you all day.
