Description

Chloe Love Story is a new fragrance from the fashion house of Chloe, which comes on the market in September of 2014. Love Story is inspired by Parisian romance and the love padlocks on the bridge of the Pont des Arts; the campaign itself and the bottle design make this reference.

Perfumer Anne Flipo composed the new Chloe floral composition, which explores the note of orange blossom. The scent is clean and fresh, made from neroli, orange blossom and stephanotis (jasmine from Madagascar).

The face of the perfume is French actress Clémence Poésy, and the commercial was filmed by Mélanie Laurent. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

When I test it for the first time, I smell it so good on me. I can recognize the flower scent but after some moments using it I don’t smell it on me any more. The perfume smells so good but I think it does not last for longtime.

I just bought a 50ml bottle of Love Story by Chloe and I’m in love!!! I do agree that it’s kinda generic but still has that Chloe DNA It’s slightly more soapy that the other Chloes though. It has a ton of white flowers and kinda has an expensive lotion scent (maybe because of the peach note) the sillage is so soft it’s so intimate only people close to you will smell it, the longevity is good it lasts 5-6 hours it even lasts after I’ve washed my hands or taken a shower. I can’t wait to give it a proper wear!

I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF CHLOE LOVE STORY!!!!! It smells so good. I know that I sometimes over spray because, I want to smell myself – always. Sillage and longevity are very good. My assistant once told me that, even when I’m minutes gone from the office, she can still feel my presence, because my scent lingers in the room.
The scent is ladylike, sweet, and I love the flowers in it. This is love at first smell. It’s a little bit expensive, but so worth it.

Probably my favorite spring/summer perfume for everyday wear. I reviewed this over a year ago rather unfavorably, but have since changed my mind and ended up purchasing a bottle about a month ago. I have quite a few fragrances in my collection that I designate for this time of year – Chloe EDP, Gucci Bamboo, Marc Jacobs Daisy, Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, and more. Love Story is the one I find myself reaching for most. Simply put, it is a very pretty, very feminine floral fragrance.
The initial citrusy blast didn’t make a large impression on me, but you really have to *wear* this perfume to get the whole gorgeous picture. Once the sharpness of the initial spray passes, you get a beautiful, fresh floral bouquet sweetened subtly with fruity notes. The drydown is my favorite part – a warm, comforting, and sexy mix of woods and musk.
I do wish it had the performance of Chloe EDP. I wouldn’t say it’s weak in sillage or longevity, but I think it could be better. I usually have to reapply once or twice during the day, unlike Chloe EDP which goes strong for 12+ hours.

Many retail websites that sell this (Macy’s, French Sephora, etc.) are reporting that this perfume has a physalis/cape gooseberry note. I tracked down the original Fragrantica article for this from 2014 and the notes list is significantly shorter. On the Chloe website the notes are:
    “A fresh floral fragrance
    Top: neroli
    Heart: orange blossom, stephanotis jasmine
    Base: cedar wood”
(Stephanotis being a type of jasmine)
Anyway has anyone noticed the physalis/cape gooseberry note? I just bought it but I’m covered in all sorts of other perfume fro the store so I’m not really going to be able to truly sit down and test it until tomorrow… (at which point I’ll probably delete this and write a proper review…)

I’m very surprised to read descriptions here to the effect that this is a ‘fierce’ white floral, or that it contains ‘overwhelming’ musk. To me it is a gentle unobtrusive fragrance having an effect on the surrounding persons at most a sweetening ambience. I think I am just not acutely sensitive to any of it’s constituents; but I’ll leave a discussion of the nature of that sensitivity to the forum, or I run the risk of repeating myself. No-one I have come across has complained about it, but I think even if any of them are sensitive to the ingredients I don’t think they are likely to perceive it as at all actually shocking or any such thing. And I’ve been enjoying it all day for what I perceive it to be: a sharpish (yes I do get the orange-blossomy-ness of it) floral, not at all sweet, except insofar as it is sweetened and enriched by the musk, which I do indeed perceive as an ‘enricher’, but by no means as an overwhelming aroma in its own right. I could even say it comes across as a little aqueous at times. And woodiness – yes, some of that there … everything moderate and balanced, to my perception anyway.

Love Story is a green, woody, musky, white floral. It is a delight. I was captivated at first whiff. It reminds me of a fireflies at dusk, walled gardens with ivy, and the heady, humid days between spring and summer. It has a bit of grassy green to balance out the white floral. Projection is strong, too. It is a staple in my wardobe and I hope it never gets discontinued.

A beautiful orange blossom fragrance…wow! I really adore Chloe perfumes.. from the heady older Lagerfeld ones to the new fresh florals. I just could not believe it when I tried this.. utterly gorgeous. My new favorite orange blossom for sure, pushing aside Armani Code. The ginger ended up ruining that one for me.
This is luscious orange blossom haze blooming on a warm summer afternoon. For me that’s always been a romantic and sensual scent, so I find this fragrance aptly named. And what is more beautiful than a love story? Even the bottle is gorgeous in its simplicity with the little handle and ribbon on top!
My new go-to sunny summer day scent.. what a fabulous blind buy!!

I am not a fan of floral bouquet perfumes, preferring those that focus on one or two floral notes. I am also not a fan of most anything soapy. I must admit that I didn’t have high expectations for this, but I am searching for a perfect summer neroli/orange blossom and had to give it a try.
This is much better than I expected. The orange blossom is clear and stands out from the Rose and jasmine. The fruit noes are subtle and with the cedar and musk give depth and keep the scent from becoming prissy. There are some clean soapy notes as it settles, but noting that overtakes it and makes it unpleasant.
I’ll be revisiting this in warmer weather.

It disappeared from my skin practically after a few minutes. Not for me.

  12. :

Reminds me of Y.Rocher’s Muguet des Bois (1998), that was oddly and unclearly kind of musky.
Resembles also not-so-goodsmelling (or old) deodorants, or basics of liquid-soaps.
(Sprayed this (EdP) on left wrist, and EdT on the right. The EdT, for one, is much better – clean.)

Quite citrus, bergamot, musk with some white floral. Somewhat bitter. I don’t perceive this perfume as related to love or romantic. Rather it’s just fun, on movement, lightweight perfume. Almost sport type. Would be great for hot summer.

  14. :

    5 out of 5

I have this, and was going to offload it but then thought twice about it.
Neroli and Orange Blossom are two notes that immediately evoke SUMMER to me, even if they aren’t trying, and there’s no reason that shouldn’t be the case here. Upon further wearing, this brings to mind gentle linen laundry hanging on a line to dry in the French country side. It makes me think of that pink clay and the California-like natural scenery. I’m sure other perfume do this image much better, but there are no actual identifiable flaws in Lovestory. Quaint fun for when you need it.

I was given this as a Sephora sample and didn’t think much of it until we were going on a summer vacation and I packed the teensy trial bottle in my makeup case as an afterthought. by the time I got back home I was shopping in Sephora for the rollerball size. Just a lovely, light, yet romantic fragrance to wear while dining on a hot summer evening.

It’s not that this necessarily smells bad-it’s just something that, on me, smells like something my grandmother would wear. If I ever buy a bottle it would be for her and not me.

The drydown of this smells just like a cashmere sweater, and the opening is all powdery orange to me. It comes together to be a velvety, sunny golden color.

Another blind buy ( I just couldn’t resist a gamble) after reading favourable fragrantica reviews…. Reminiscent of Chloe eau de Fleurs Neroli but much much softer, creamier and well rounded. Really nice once the pungent floral (jasmine/white flower) opening settles and you get beautiful fresh clean citrus. I don’t find it sweet at all. Very easy to wear. Another great Chloe fragrance.

This is one of those “oh wow” surprise fragrances that drives my desire to collect and try. The Neroli and orange blossom are pleasantly floral atop the fruitier notes and it just works. I have some perfumes I love because they are complex and deep and they come out occasionally as the mood strikes. Then I have perfumes like this that make me happy all the time. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist!!! And it’s ok for work, workout etc. Someone mentioned this as a wedding fragrance. I can see that. It’s truly beautiful.

  22. :

I really don’t like this fragrance I get laundry detergent then the dry down of the cedar and patchouli makes me sick.I can see why many love it as its soapy clean, classy and safe. The bottle and the ad are all lovely.I was given this as a gift its a shame I just can’t wear it as it gives me a headache.

  23. :

I LOVE this perfume. It’s very light and oh so pretty. If I see that a scent is described with neroli and orange blossom I know I’ve found my scent. I’m typically not a fan of Chloe perfumes but THIS one is the best thus far. It’s such beautiful, light and feminine scent.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Very feminine merge of fruits and florals. Just intense enough without being overwhelming. Beautiful neroli dominates. This one is for daytime– out shopping and stopping at an elegant spot for afternoon tea.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

This is such a pretty and romantic fragrance. The opening is citrusy neroli, the middle notes are white florals and rose, and the base is a soft musk. I find it intoxicating and fresh at the same time. Very feminine. Very beautiful.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I wish more reviews mentioned a similarity of Love Story to the original Chloe Edp, because to me they share a very distinct base of characteristic notes, typical to Chloe Edp (which is sadly not for me).
Love Story does open citrusy and white floral, but fast progresses to being a sibling of Chloe, with not enough jasmine and orange blossom and too much rose for me. It may be a safe gift choice for recipients who appreciate fresh rosy scents and clean smelling perfumes.

  27. :

Gorgeous opening. Fizzles pretty quickly but is never anything less than pretty. A spritz in the morning would give you a subtle citrus aura for the rest of the day. Office safe.

In LOVE with this fragrance! Chloe Love Story just screams beautiful, delicate,Charming Lady! I hated the original Chloe, so I was skeptical of trying this one, SO Glad I did!! I can notice a lot of the floral note and the fruity note, especially a peachy orangey note. At the drydown it is slightly powdery, but not grandma powdery, it’s very modern and youthful! It is a floral sweet fragrance but not candy sweet, it’s a clean, soft delicate sweetness it has that makes it so pretty. I am using it in Cold weather and it is delightful, I feel it would be too much for summer though…But right now with winter coming up it is so comforting, it’s warm, bright, cheerful. I am in Love with it, I just have a small rollerball sample I got from sephora, and it has great lasting power! I roll it on my skin and also roll it on clothes! Instantly surrounded by a gorgeous warm,clean,femenine,floral/sweet cloud in the middle of these dark cold days..I know what perfume I’m going to ask hubby for this christmas! And the name Love Story makes it even more perfect to receive from your loved one!!

“I’m a lady, and I love being a lady”.. is what I think of when wearing this. Yes, this does have white floral notes, not sure why some are complaining about the white floral in this, the notes and accords are pretty telling…but it is still a Chloe ‘fume, so there is of course a rose note. The white florals soften the rose, which is kind of a given, in looking at the notes and accords; but make no mistake, the rose is still detectable, just not as pronounced as other Chloes. I am picking up the citrus notes in this, as well, I think maybe even more citrus to my nose than the white floral.
Personally for me, I am glad this has some white floral to this. It is very wearable for me. Sometimes a heavy rose note is too much for me. But then again, I am also a white floral lover, so that no doubt plays into my love for this. This is soft, a delicate rose with white floral playing nicely with the rose note. By no means would I classify this as white floral….Maybe some are hoping for a heavier rose scent. *shrug* To me this is lovely. Office-safe. Crowd-safe. Pretty. Delicate. Soft. Love it. Maybe there is a slight “dryer sheet” scent to this, but really…it is soft and lovely and very wearable. Maybe not the most original scent, but still quite lovely.
Soft to moderate sillage, depending how many spritzes. Longevity is not the greatest, by midday this is pretty much a skin scent. But the overall fragrance is quite lovely. Great for someone wanting to take baby steps into the world of rose scents (but also likes white floral and citrus). Personally for me, I love this lighter Chloe.

I apologize in advance to those who love it. I generally speaking love every Chloe scent but this is a monstrousity. It’s jasmine and laundry detergent on steroids, just hideous. at least on my skin. I almost blind bought it, because of the name and brand ( which , as I said before , I generally love ) but so glad in only got a sample.
Do not blind buy this. Your skin might react like mine did and you’ll smell like you rubbed yourself with powdered detergent plus cheap Arabian artificial jasmin oil.

As someone who normally goes for sweet and sugar gourmands I absolutely love this perfume! It smells very fresh, clean and floral. Like something you can definitely wear during the summer and Spring but I can see Love story working well in colder seasons too. Love story gives you a citrusy sweet opening then start to dry down into a sweet floral scent. So far this lasted pretty long on my skin, about maybe 6 to 7 hours max

I’m in LOVE! Here’s my story–It was my birthday yesterday and my wonderful, thoughtful husband purchased this (along with a vacuum…lol) as my birthday presents. What makes this perfume especially special to me is that he told me that he did research on it first and read numerous reviews giving it a 4/5 star rating. Just him doing that is an extra present for me, because he knows I’m passionate about my perfume collection (addiction), and listens intently to my personal opinions and reviews about them. He even knew that it wasn’t on my want list. Now, finally, my review–Immediately after applying two sprays, I noticed a sweet, slightly spicy rose scent that is almost aquatic. Very clean and fresh, like expensive laundered linen. Didn’t realize orange blossom was one of the notes but I must love that note because my perfume favorites have this note. To visualize it using color, I’d say, white, not red or black. The longevity on me is about eight hours. It’s noticeable and lovely. I’m constantly sneaking sniffs of my wrist to get an instant scent-boost. (I always wonder if anyone has noticed me doing that.) Cloe Love Story will be in my top rotation. I’ll wear it to work, out with my husband, shopping with my daughter and at home. Heck! I’ll even wear it while vacuuming–my other gift. The End…

I am in vain. I was addicted to old Arlesienne (loccitane) now its gone.. the new one dosnt impress me.
Chloe LS was yet another trial to replace. I am dissapointed. It has got so many positive reviews but its too masculine for me. It was nauseating and not subtle at all.
    ergo, the search goes on…sigh

Whew! Chloe can’t go wrong! Reminiscent of the original Chloe, I think I like this more. It’s more floral yet still remains fresh. It’s clean out of the shower, yet the floral holds out from being too fresh. I think I love orange blossom. Chloe love story is more than I expected. I love it more than I should. I think I love it more than the original Chloe. This is the PERFECT floral and clean. I keep sniffing my wrist. Lol.

I’ts an ok very light fragrance that smells rather ordinary and not special until you hit the basenotes, then I find a comfort scent of fresh washed linens that has been drying in the garden a sunny summer day but lot’s and lot’s of other scents are so similar so I will not purchase this again

  38. :

to me, love story edp smells like sickly white flowers. too many of them in a single fragrance. even though its not listed, i can smell my arch nemesis, lily of the valley which gives it an instant yuk from me. it’s one of those scents that i tried to resist washing off hoping it would evolve into something wonderful but alas, i was starting to feel rather nauseous so off it came. well almost. it’s always the ones you dont like that refuse to go.
very similar to bottega veneta knot.

i dont like the Clean laundry smell so i will not buy this perfume again

Not something I’d repurchase. Not because it’s bad it’s nice. For being just a regular smelling floral citrus scent. It’s very lovely. Want something high end smelling but non confusing and basic yet more than a splash but a fragrance. This is it.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Love Story is pretty generic on my skin. It’s fresh, floral and elegant but there’s no exitement. Anyone could wear it. This can be a good thing too! This would be a pretty safe perfume to pick up as a gift. There’s a fresh, citrus opening. There are white, clean, soapy florals and there’s a light musk which shows up after few minutes. It’s nice and feminine but not for me. I’m curious about it’s behavior on someone else.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

A very beautiful, classic scent. Young and feminine but also mature and elegant! Definitely worth a try!

  43. :

    3 out of 5

If I had to pick between the two, I would prefer this one to the original Chloe Chloe Eau de parfum. It doesn’t have that annoying overpowering lily-of-the-valley note that the original Chloe has. And Love Story has the tart black currant note (which I love). Also, it is so citrus-fresh and fruity-sweet at the same time, and has better projection. It still has rose and white flowers notes – plenty to offer to a florals’ lover.
Maybe it’s just me, but the rose note accompanied by fruity notes, musk and wood, as well as some white florals, plays out much better, than rose note + lily-of-the-valley. I apologize to all lily-of-the-valley scent fans!

  44. :

I used to have a theory, that for every person there is a brand of fragrances that can do no wrong. I quickly discovered that it was wrong, but for a period of time, the reason for that belief was Chloe.
I don’t know what is it about the brand, but whatever fragrance I tried, it worked well on my skin, so I was fairly sure I would like Love Story before I even tried it. When I did, though, it was a whole different experience. (Fair warning: my nose is not that great, so maybe I am getting the notes wrong. I tend to focus on my impressions of the perfume as a whole, so apologies if this is not very helpful.) On me, the citrus notes and the neroli come through in the opening, with an added kick from the patchouli. It’s very strong, a little bit dusty, bordering on screechy if I spray too much (which I am guilty of doing) but it is also bright and uplifting without being overwhelmingly sweet. It’s a white floral that is more green than ripe – buds in the early spring, rather than blooms on the edge of summer.
Looking at the notes, I’m noticing cedarwood, a note that appears consistently in scents that I like (namely, Jo Malone’s Black Cedarwood & Juniper, and White Jasmine & Mint) I’m not sure I pick up on the individual note but it could explain why this scent appeals to me so much. Whatever it is, though, it is something that appeals to both myself and others – I don’t think I have worn another perfume that gets so many compliments from others. Definitely worth a sniff if you prefer your white florals on the green/citrus side.

  45. :

Chloe Love Story is a beautiful fragrance and I am glad to have tried it. The original Chloe EDP doesn’t suit my skin nor my tastes all too well and sadly many of her flankers pose the same problem as they smell too alike. Chloe Love Story could be considered a stand-alone fragrance as it bears very few similarities to its predecessor.
Chloe Love Story is a clean, somewhat soapy interpretation of neroli, stephanotis, rose and pear. It has a similar fresh laundry vibe like the rest of the Chloe range, just without the fizzy peony and litchi notes.
Chloe Love Story was recommended on a few bridal websites as the perfect garden wedding scent. As a soon-to-be-bride myself I am placing Chloe Love Story onto my rather exhaustive shortlist for my big day. I adore neroli dominant fragrances and am looking for something refreshing and pristine with this fragrance ticking lots of boxes.
I am a little concerned however that Chloe Love Story is soon to be discontinued if not already. My local department store now only carries the original Chloe EDP, Chloe Fleur de Parfum and Roses de Chloe, with Chloe Love Story already relegated to the discount stores. If this is to be my wedding day fragrance I will have to make my decision quickly to avoid disappointment.

Ah, lovely Love Story. My go-to ultra feminine, summery floral fragrance.
Neroli and freesia in the first half hour or so of applying this. The dry down is delicate rose, oranges and clean musk on my skin and has a lightly powdery quality that makes me want to keep sniffing my wrist.
    Dreamy.

Fresh, gentle and feminine! This scent is perfect in the summer months. It smells amazing! To me, it smells like summer flowers, musk and blood orange. I really love the floral and citrus combination. It smells very unique, I think. There’s something very clean about it. Almost like you’re not really wearing perfume but just came out of the shower instead.

I can’t express how happy I am that I chose Chloe Love Story for my new signature summer scent. It is such a beautiful melody of fresh fruits and florals and I can’t get enough of it.
A little story behind my decision: I was shopping for a new fragrance and accidentally sprayed this on my sleeve instead of the tester card. I didn’t think much of it at first; I kind of went “oh that’s nice” and then didn’t come back to it. I thought at the time I would find something with more wow factor.
I left that day with Chanel Chance Fresh, which I think I only got because it was vaguely interesting and the saleswoman was rushing me a bit. When I got home, though, I kept getting wafts of the Chloe Love Story that I had sprayed on my sleeve and it was just so pleasant and addictive I actually decided to return the Chanel and purchase the Chloe instead.
I am so so so glad I did. I think, like many people reviewing on here, first impressions are that it’s a generic fresh floral. But I really cant think of anything quite like it. It has a unique full bodied blossom scent to it, and although not immediately detectable, the pear works to balance the bitter citrus. One the scent has dried down, you get a beautiful hit of rose and just enough wood to keep it from being over bearing.
There’s also something special about a scent no one seems to dislike, even if it doesn’t knock your socks off right away.

Love Story by Chloe is a scent that I have been pining over for quite a while. I initially smelled it when it first came out, but it took me three years to actually acquire a full bottle of it! A lovely neroli and orange blossom blend with the most exquisite rosy musk heart with a light hint of lemon. This is a gorgeous white floral fragrance that is sophisticated yet simple. You can dress it up and have it be more professional with a white collared button down blouse or more seductive by showing a little more skin when wearing it. I love to spray this in my hair on breezy days as it blows a subtle aura of sent around me and it smells so pure and light!

    a gentle scent
I describe a one-time contact with this perfumes with my skin. Mild smell mostly i feel musk with neroli and orange flower.
There is no rose and pear or citrus. They will not activate. Summing up – nothing special, is like many others. Maybe a bit like the Versace Signature. I’m talking about “Medusa”. Average durability of 6/7 hours. But it’s edp, not edt, so it could be better.

Beautiful scent not very powerful but very pretty for hot weather. You can smell the musk in it and its clean smelling.
Like you just came out of a shower and fresh clothes on.
Pretty scent but not very strong in the clarity if you like strong scents.

  54. :

Nothing particularly unique, a strong white flowery scent initiates the experience but is quickly dulled into a low sweetness which lasts for a fair while. Not particularly anything, a reliable scent which doesn’t entice any intrigue or mystery. Really forgettable. 5/10

  55. :

Pretty scent. I prefer the original Chloe EDP because it’s stronger and longer lasting, but this is a very fresh, super soapy scent. It reminds me a lot of Bath & Body Works’ Sea Island Cotton, which I LOVE in handsoap form. For that reason, I can’t imagine spending the high retail price for Chloe Love Story. It’s a beautiful scent but not worth that price tag. It also sits very close to the skin and has pretty meh longevity.
Edit: Over a year later and I now own this perfume. It grew on me! I still prefer the regular Chloe EDP but I like having both of these in my collection to switch it up when I feel like it. The clean, musky drydown of this is what sold me on it! A lovely spring/summer scent.

I’ve tried samples of several Chloe perfumes and so far the only things my I notice about them is they are so light and short lasting on me that I can’t really tell you much about how they smell because there is barely anytime there and it goes away after 30 minutes. My initial impression with this one was it’s just ok, light and fresh I guess you could say. Nothing really jumped out at me. I didn’t hate it but I can’t say I like it because I can hardly smell it!

While it’s personally not for me, it is a really lovely fragrance.
The word “Pretty” sums it up very well and it does make me think it is best suited to young women around 18-24 who are probably more youthful and innocent. Loveable rogues and rebels would want to steer clear of this one.
I tried a sample and on me, it’s a very feminine fresh, floral fragrance that I actually couldn’t stop smelling. It’s beautiful and not so sweet that it’s sickly. I imagine the colour pink and fresh spring meadows whenever I catch a whiff.
While it doesn’t fit my personality, if someone was wearing this around me I would certainly compliment them on it, as it’s a very pleasant fragrance.

I L-O-V-E this scent and receive many compliments when I wear Chloe Love Story (CLS).
It may appear to be more of a Spring and Summer scent to some but when it is cold and dreary here in the Rocky Mountain winter, CLS is a reminder and hope of the coming Spring.
Some of my most favorite notes include Grapefruit, Lemon and Bergamot which are totally uplifting and happiness to the mind and soul. The Pear, oh how I LOVE Pear as it reminds of romantic period films that I might watch cozy by the fire with my husband and in rememberance of times gone by. Stephanotis is a variety of Jasmine and gives CLS a White Floral or even sense of purity note and as some suggest, a perfect Wedding scent or remembering one of the happiest days of ones life. However the base notes of Musk, Cedar,Cashmirwood and Patchouli bring in the added Romance.
CLS can safely be worn around people of all ages including elderly and small children, imho.
The reaction and/or comments I receive the most is mmmmmm, you smell good or you smell N-I-C-E (as so called Millenials might say).
CLS can be a bit pricey, but I bought mine in a buy one get one 1/2 off sale which helped to make more affordable. Would I repurchase? Well there are so many wonderful scents out there, but if the price were right, I absolutely would as everything about CLS is beautiful including the cute yet classy bottle. It is a Love Story!

    Love Story Eau de Parfum
    Available at Macy’s!
I sampled this fragrance yesterday. I bought it but have only worn sprayed it on my wrist. I saw the repetitive TV commercials and the ads that play right before your YouTube video loads lol I thought this was a very fresh and clean laundry type of scent. Gosh if this was a detergent I would love my clothes to smell like this. I don’t know why it’s selling as a romantic perfume. It can be I suppose if you consider the rose note which is quite beautiful. It’s floral but it’s also green with patchouli leaf and woodsy with cedar and cashmere wood. I don’t have anything that smells like this at home. This is a very bright fresh clean and sweet fruity floral basically.
The first spritz of Chloe Love Story is a distinct neroli, grapefruit, bergamot and orange blossom. There might be some petit grain in there too. It’s citrusy and refreshing. Later it turns into a floral with rose and white flower of stephanotis and orange blossom.
This is more an orange blossom to me than a rose but both florals are noticeable. This is not as strong or fragrant as I like my perfumes. It is an Eau de Parfum but wears more like the Eau de Toilette. This might be more fruitier than the EDT. Besides the citrus I also detect peach and currant. This is a spring and summer day time casual fragrance. It’s not as glamorous or formal as I thought it would be.
Very easy to wear. Mature but also youthful enough because of the citrus zest and the cashmere wood which can smell like a freshly dried clean cashmere sweater!
    Not mind blowing but pretty.
