The new fragrant pair from the house of Loewe, Loewe 001 Woman and Loewe 001 Man, is launched in late August 2016. They are announced as “deep, tender and appealing” fragrances that “reinterpret the scent of a skin caress.”
Loewe 001 Woman begins with bright, sparkling citrus notes of Italian bergamot, Calabria tangerine and pink pepper. Its modern heart features narcotic Egyptian jasmine mixed with the purity of linen and a sandalwood accord. It is defined as the floral, fresh and warm fragrance of “the morning after”. The exclusive amber molecule “Ambar 001” is accompanied by gourmand vanilla in the base.
t is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

As often happens, the spray test in the store was wonderful. When I got it home, I was worried. Initial lift reminded me of Creed Millesime, a fragrance with which I’ve had a love/unlove relationship. But after a few moments, the sandalwood and the citrus started their delicate dance. Then notes of jasmine. Finally, amber notes that give the fragrance a really wonderful presence. It is not at all synthetic to me (except perhaps that initial lift). Earlier reviews mention the price. I got it at Barneys and it was under $100–about normal for anything that’s not sold everywhere. For me, a lovely fragrance that has the potential to transcend seasons. A keeper.

I am a lover of sandalwood, so I did purchase it. Blind buy. It did not dissapoint. I can’t say, if it smells sythetic or not. It just smells gorgeous! Creamy dreamy sandalwood with slight mandarine twist, which (paradoxly) makes the scent even creamier. I wanna eat my arm, buy tons of it and bathe in it! Definitely winner for me. Love it.

Wow, I first sprayed this on my scarf at Porto airport and it did not leave me. It’s a sandelwoody skin scent with a liqueurish fruity top note that makes it so sexy. The woody base might be somewhat common place but this doesn’t bother me, I just love the whole thing! I call the creamy fruity top a white port wine note and I even get some Atlantic seaspray since this perfume is amalgamated with the city of Porto for me.

This perfume ozes class and smells creamy and beautiful sandlewood and amber come through, like a succulent bath wash.
I feel so sexy wearing this brought this on my trip to mexico and works well in the heat.

A very unexciting mild sandalwood with a hint of citrus. Work safe and pleasant for everyday wear. Lingers on the skin for a long while but has zero projection, though to be fair, it is promoted as a skin scent.
Very overpriced, boring bottle, boring name, but admit that I am not into minimalism when it comes to fragrance and the whole design is not aimed at someone like me.

Maybe there’s a hint of citruses in the opening if you smell very deeply but after a minute,all left on paper was like more than eighty percent sandalwood and less than twenty percent amber,vanilla and jasmine.actually before seeing the notes list I thought it has a single note:sandalwood

Loewe 001 to my nose is a sandalwood fragrance, very simple and minimalistic. In fact I couldn’t recognize any other notes apart from sandalwood which is the main protagonist here. It doesn’t change that much during time so you know how it will end up from the very first moment. To me it has a ”neutral” appeal , not bad but not good either. Simple, inoffensive, lacking the urge of making you feel you need to have it in your wardrobe. I would rather prefer the sandalwood of Diptyque’s Tam Dao. My skin has the tendency to make sandalwood smell like cheese and Loewe’s 001 is no exception. Lasting power is moderate and sillage is low, close to skin.

Really don’t get why people don’t like this (so far, anyway). This is a great fragrance and certainly unique from what is readily available amongst designer fragrances. I bought this from a fragrance store that doesn’t sell niche perfumes, but recently got this as an exclusive to their store from a Spanish company, and to me, this smells niche. It is wonderfully soft and rich – the amber and the woody notes allow it to be different, and the citrus gives it a freshness. The overall first ‘sniff’ is creamy, cool, feminine, light. Great balance between the amber, wood, citrus and hint of white floral. It slightly reminds me of Jo Malone’s Dark Amber and Gingerlily, although it has its own character. This is certainly worth a try and a buy!

I got a bottle of tester from Paris Look. Honestly, I really love it. Strong, woody and this parfume has a character. I feel sexy after spraying. And smell softer after. THe longevity is moderate. It can be stay 6 hours on my skin

Loewe 001 Woman, as well as its male pair, tricks in the first few minutes or when feeling quickly on blotter or spray. Like its male counterpart, it interprets 2 olfactory tendencies that have proven strong – those of gourmands and white narcotic florals. So feeling quickly passes the impression of another super sweet floral to the La Vie Est Belle style of being. However, sprayed on the skin the sweet and sugary impression is very moderate and gives space to a shimmering citrus tone that makes a good link with the male version. The heart shows to be more floral and presents a delicate, fresh and slightly green jasmine, something half springy in its aroma. The musk and wood base of the masculine is reinterpreted to give a more gourmand connotation, with an accord of sandalwood nutty and vanilla nuances, something that softens the drier edges of the woody idea present in Loewe 001 Man. Like its pair, is delicate yet durable in its aroma and despite the gourmand connations is a scent that can be used on warmer days. The floral aspect may make it more daring for the male audience, but nothing that can not be shared or even mixed with the Loewe 001 Man to give a special and different touch.

oh my gosh as much as i hate writing negative reviews but here i just have to stop and agree with every single word said in the previous posts ,i was on my way to a movie and this got sprayed on my by a sales representative just outside lafayet and instantly i told him in his face oh my gosh this is just sooo bad it couldn’t get worse than this to my nose i stopped smelling anything on my skin for the past decade befor testing on a paper strip then decide if i d actually let it touch my skin ,the scent is just soooooooooooooooo synthetic even the electronic nose that produced it must have been broken or something went wrong with its soft ware for it smells like the cheapest synthetic woody notes with toilet water in a nausaiatting tap water ,..i honestly dont know where this industry is taking people too it is really getting sad to the point of no return a horrific release after another its so depressing so disgusting so nasiatating ,are they mocking us ?do they really think that people are going to buy this junk just for the nae,i wish it was militaristic it is repulsive it smells like some of the really cheap 1 $ arabian perfumes in a more watered down and synthetic way without character or a sole ..oh my just ruined my entire movie experience thank god i had other perfumes in my bag and wet napkins i was wiping it away as much as i can and sprayed other perfumes ..sorry lowe but the truth must be said ..its a complete disaster in a bottle ..shame on you for mass producing such a horrific perfume and it is headache inducing and nauseating and there is nothing from the accords listed in it its plain weird synthetic wanna be sandelwoody woody watery accord that is repulsive …..what happened to the good old lowee the one in the dark blue iconic bottel ?!what happened to the perfume industry as a whole? its such a shame and a disgrace-to the artistry of perfumery and if we dont do something soon it will only keep getting worse !

Loewe 001 is the next step in the evolution (or the involution) of minimalist fragances. It is a nihilist fragance.
Zero smell, zero projection, zero lasting power, zero personality, zero originality.
It seems to have been conceived with the stern purpose of provoking boredom to the stones: I can not think in any other reason that can justify it.
It is suposed to have tangerine, jasmine, amber and vanilla. All what I can detect is some sort of vague and indistinct white musk smell. Like pure tap water, in which someone, who previously has applied body cream, has washed his feet. Honestly, you can find far better and more interesting smells in drugstore body lotions.
Loewe 001 is an item in which everything, from the name to the scent, including the bottle, exudes mediocrity, unwillingness and lack of inspiration.
Absolutely nothing in it justifies the 110 € that they ask for a 100 ml. bottle, which, on the other hand, makes it only suitable for heartless snobs.

I received a sample of this from Barneys. I get bitter citrus and sticky sweet sandalwood. Not smooth or pleasant. Headace inducing.
