Description

Kate Spade is launching a new fragrance in April 2013. The fragrance is named Live Colorfully. Previous perfumes of the house include Kate Spade from 2003 and Twirl from 2010. Live Colorfully is a fragrance made in-house that marks the 20th anniversary of the brand.

Poppy King, consultants Fabrice Penot and Edouard Roche and Firmenich perfumers worked on developing this new perfume. It opens with accords of sparkling mandarin, pink water lily and star anise. Its exotic heart is made of tiare flower, golden gardenia and coconut water. The base captures notes of sheer amber, musk and vanilla from Tahiti.

The fragrance is available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Tropical flowers mixed with a lifesavers gummy smell I know that probably has you cracking up, but as serious as Live Colorfully wants to be, it’s big white tropical flowers with a soft whiff of lifesavers gummies! I think it’s because this perfume has some citrusy fruits in the background, big bold flowers, and then just a hint of soft powder from the coconut and amber and that powder is quite youthful. Just like Kate Spade’s witty charm in handbags and goods, this scent is proper but playful.

It has been at least a year or more since I have even picked up my 2 Kate Spade Live Color Fully perfume bottles. Both 3.4 oz bottles are just about full because this scent is too light for my taste. My skin eats up perfume and I really need something much stronger.
I want to trade these two big bottles for something else through this site but I have no idea what the difference is between the two. They BOTH say Kate Spade NY Live Color Fully on the bottle side and the bottom label. Exact same words but the bottles are completely different colors. One is a very light pink and the other a dark pink or possibly even red bottle. No indication of any difference other than that. They even smell the same. I am going to assume one is EDT and one EDP but you would think that info would be present on the bottles.
Anyone have any idea about the differences in this perfume and why the bottles are different colors with no indication of any difference in juice?
    thanks.

My how time can change so many things..like our reactions to fragrances. I have a backstory with this one, so if you don’t care to read my backstory, please feel free to jump to the third paragraph for my actual review..:)
Live Colorfully will always have a special place in my heart for me, even if the beginning story of this for me was not a happy one, and my original review and experience with this also was..not pleasant. You see, I went into Nordstrom a few short weeks after my mother had passed. The weather was hot and humid and I wanted to treat myself to a new fragrance. I know I mentioned to the sales associate that I was interested in a summery fragrance. She was pushing Jimmy Choo on me (back then I did not care for Jimmy Choo, and it was not ‘summery’ to me at all..anyhoo), I kept coming across Kate Spade’s Live Colorfully, which was kind of new to the market at the time. I asked the SA about it, and she blew it off. But my eyes for some reason kept landing on Live Colorfully..it seemed so perfect, given the heat of the summer and my mom just passing away, it was as if to say..life goes on..Be happy. I tested it, and it seemed decent, so a bottle of Live Colorfully was on it’s way home with me. UNFORTUNATELY, for whatever reason, Live Colorfully back then smelled far different to me once I got home and wore it from the bottle I bought. In short, I did not care for it, it was too synthetic for me.
Flash-forward a few years, and I was going through my fragrance samples. I came across one of Live Colorfully (the original one, not one of the flankers). I decided to test this out again (and yes, I still have a bottle stashed away in the closet). Oh my!! It is fun, summery, fresh, a little tropical, not synthetic at all!! A slight hint of sweetness, but light sweetness, not a candy bomb at all.
Oh my..I now love Live Colorfully. I know my tastes have changed in recent years, and I feel my skin now reacts differently to fragrances than it did a few years ago, so that *could* be why this smells so differently to me now. Perhaps the bottle I got was bad, but it *was* from Nordstrom..?? Anyhoo..
I love Live Colorfully. It saddens me that Kate is no longer with us and it boggles my mind that on the outside she seemed to try to put on such a happy face yet apparently was hurting inside or fighting demons.
As Ellen says..be kind to others.
Off to dig out my full bottle of Live Colorfully.. ❤️

@lilsockmonkey that is exactly right! It’s just like taking a whiff of buttered popcorn jelly beans! It’s really comforting in this perfume, like sharing popcorn at a county fair. Then the tiare and vanilla kick in with a little playdough plastic edge, and in the end the whole thing comes together in a not-quite-suntan-oil summer bouquet. I like that it’s not cloying or abrasive, but still complex enough to be more than a one hit wonder–in the drydown, peppery caramel kicks in, and the vanilla stays perfectly balanced. This perfume is anodyne enough that it’ll never be my signature scent, but it’s a warm, sexy, easy-to-wear (yet still refined) choice for summer–which is pretty impressive to find at this price point.

Sampling this, a weird thing happens. The coconut-gardenia combo starts out with an initial blast that is warm and buttery and salty, and almost reminiscent of… buttered popcorn? or more accurately, like the Jelly Belly Buttered Popcorn flavored jellybean.
    Weird. It’s not unpleasant though.
That note burns off quickly and i’m left with mostly a gardenia bomb.
    It’s nice, but I don’t need a full bottle.

Just a brief review from my impressions based on a test dab on my hand.
The first and strongest note I got was tiare, mixed with gardenia, and it remained the dominant note throughout, with some coconut and vanilla in the background, until I went to bed about a couple of hours later. In fact, it didn’t seem to change much in that period, or only very slightly.
I actually love tiare, the tropical, beachy image it evokes, sun-kissed and exotic. I love this too from my brief wearing, but it smells so much like The Body Shop Polynesian Island Tiare to my nose, that I feel that I could pass on this for now. (I have already have the Body Shop fragrance mist.) Both are perfect beach scents for me, best for the heat and for summer wear. They smell like sun-warmed skin at the end of the day at the beach.
In spite of the similarity, Live Colorfully is fuller bodied and somehow richer than Polynesian Island Tiare, which smells a little watery, like it is made with coconut water instead of coconut cream. But I still love it anyway, so I can pass on Live Colorfully for now. Until maybe I find an irresistible deal on it.
Overall, a love, but I don’t need it in my fragrance wardrobe at this time.

I received Live Colorfully almost a year ago and it took me some time to really like and appreciate this scent. It is different than most floral scents. It comes out with some type of white flower, which I guessed to be honeysuckle but was wrong, and then a deeply rich, powdery bite, that cuts through the sweet floral like a knife. It feels like it wants to be an oriental perfume and since I’m not a huge oriental fan this is the part of the perfume I struggle with the most. Please don’t misunderstand me, Live Colorfully is not an oriental, there is just a biting scent to it that makes me feel like it could lean that direction. After the initial bite wears off the white floral really comes through, but it is richer.l, not as powdery as it was in the beginning. I like the middle because it has a little earthiness to it. Like rain just fell on the flower garden making the florals sing and the earth strum, keeping a beat with the pulsating heat of the sun. It is bright, beautiful, and somewhat sexy, but not inappropriately so for work. The dry down is a continued walk after you have left the flower garden. You can still smell those sweet scents that you have already left, but the powdery warmth still envelopes. you from afar. I find the dry down still carries that sexy, sweet vibe, but it has more of a powdery tone to it, making the sexy more sensual and inviting. I really like Live Colorfully, which in some ways surprises me because I’m not big into perfumes with a heavy floral presence. It is beautiful, but most importantly it makes ME feel beautiful when I wear it.

I didn’t think I liked sunscreen type perfumes, or beachy perfumes but I like this very much!! I smelled it on a co-worker one day and asked what she was wearing. It smells very similar on me as Gucci Bloom, but a little more sun-screeny and longer lasting

Gardenia, coconut, and old school suntan oil in the dark brown bottle. So 100% summer if summer to you is namely tropical. It’s just a little bit rich, but certainly no overwhelming.
The first few times I tried it on, it had an edge of a plasticy scent lying below the surface, so I stayed away for a while. In warm weather that edge isn’t as noticeable.
In recent years I’ve gravitated towards green and herbal or more neroli for summer, so I don’t know what I’d invest in this. But if you are looking for vacation in a bottle, this one is a slam dunk.

This perfume is exactly what I was looking for- floral, clean, and sweet. It smells like gardenias. I got it at a sample and fell in love with it. It’s a beautiful scent and about medium strength. I wouldn’t wear it to work as it might be too strong for that.

  13. :

Cute, pretty, light, young, summery. That’s what this fragrance is like while Woman by Ralph Laurent is a little more sexy and fuller (more for the evening), and Michael Kors White is “sharper”. I like all three of them as they share similarity at some levels in the scents of the white flowers (on my skin).
I really like the coconut here as it smells more like a lightly creamy and milky kind. Soft and sweet gardenia and tiare flower blended so well with gently buttery vanilla, making the composition smell delicious, comfortable and very pleasant. I like Live Colorfully very much.

Fluffy clean towels in a beach condo, to my nose. Its definitely not a “natural” coconut white floral, but thats just fine. I can definitely sense the water lotus, its so clean and bright. Perfect on a day when you want to feel relaxed and happy. Suggest layering with other watery florals like 5th avenue or bright crystal.

I find this one beautiful. I remember as a child we had honeysuckle that grew wild on our fence. My mother and grandmother and I would go and pull out a stem and taste the sweetness and smell the lovely aroma. My grandmother and mother always wore gardenia/honeysuckle type perfumes growing up. This fragrance takes me back to childhood. I can see us under our weeping willow tree their perfume and the fragrance from the honeysuckle blowing in the summer breeze. I love the beach smell that is there as well. I think it works together wonderfully. Powerful but I like that. This is almost a “love” for me but since I am in my gourmand phase I’ll just say I like it a lot!

I’m wearing a coconut scented lotion, carrying a bouquet of gardenia and tiare while standing under a mandarin orange tree next to the ocean…this is what Live Colorfully smells like to me. It’s intriguing to me how people have such different perceptions of this perfume. I’m firmly in the “I smell tropical flowers and coconut” camp.
This is a great summer scent…or a scent to wear when you want to feel like it’s summer. But beware, it’s powerful so spray sparingly. Longevity is very good, as well.

  17. :

I’ve had this one for a while and keep hoping it will change somehow. When I first spray this and for about the first half hour to hour of wearing this, this smells a little “manufactured” or chemically to me. It does settle into a warm Summer scent, if a little “plastic” smelling (for me).
Can be a little heavy and overpowering, so a couple of spritzes is plenty, and will definitely last all day. But in spite of being a tad heavy and potentially overpowering, this does not turn funky from the heat and high humidity that we have where I live, so I appreciate that. While this is a nice warm Summer scent, I feel like this is more of a scent that a modern busy young woman living in the city would wear during the Summer, I do not really see this as a beach scent. Something about this says “too busy” and too manufactured to me to be a relaxed beach scent.
I do not pick up any of the white floral at all (I am a white floral lover, so that is a bit of a bummer), and I can’t even detect the coconut, nor the orange note. I do pick up the musk, the amber and the star anise. I can’t pick up the vanilla. Just smells a little too ‘manufactured’ and chemical for my taste. Probably just how it mixes with my skin, but I even tested this on a clean blouse hanging in a wide open bedroom, and still got the same result. This also for me is borderline headache-inducing. There are a few moments when I wear this that it does almost smell ‘different’ and ‘unique,’ which I appreciate in the recent years’ offerings of fruitcholis and candy bombs, but the manufactured chemical type smell just pulls through too strongly for me.
Maybe this is just a more of a younger girls fragrance that my aging 46 year old nose is thrown off by, I don’t know. But it just has almost a plastic smell to me, and I can’t pick up over half of the notes at all… *shrug*

I love this. I was in love with Jennifer Anistons Beachscape and this reminds of that perfume. Im so happy since I cant seem to find Beachscape anymore. On me this is white flowers with some aquatic and just smells like beachflowers. I dont get any coconut or vanilla(or playdoh, lol, as 1 person said) Im a gourmand person but I have a soft spot for this kind of perfume since Sand & Sable was the first perfume my mother would let me have. This just made it on to my rebuy list.

I just discovered this one and I must say I am in love! It smells like vacation. It takes me back to being at a Disney World Water park in the summer, surrounded by people wearing their sunscreen, the flower gardens and water.

I really like this fragrance. I found a Nordstrom gift card I had misplaced and used it to blind buy this.
As the reviewer below me said, it really does remind me of Happy by Clinique. Like, a lot. I also agree that it is better than Happy. It’s less sharp, a little more smooth, and a tinge sweeter. It’s definitely a zesty little pick-me-up perfume — good for summer — but it wouldn’t be my signature. I’m more of a gourmand and musk type of girl. That said, I really do like this perfume. It’s something I’ll wear when I don’t want to have to think about what to put on. It’s carefree and completely unoffensive. Safe office scent.

Love this year round…it’s a good mood in a bottle. Lasts all day, lots of compliments. I remember when Clinique Happy was released and this gives me the same vibe. Live Colorfully is far more beautiful. I think it’s timeless and hope to always have a bottle in my collection.

I can’t believe how much this reminds me of Mambo by Liz Claiborne. I’m surprised they only share a couple of notes.
That being said, this is a nice, long-lasting warm & pleasant scent. But I’m on the hunt for something different from Mambo, which was my signature fragrance for nearly 15 years. So I’m not likely to buy a FB of this, but I’ll enjoy my spray sample until it’s gone.

  23. :

Bitter sour gassy citrus and tons of dated coconut musk amidst the florals. The licorice floral aspect is the only slightly good part. Not for me. Glad I sampled. Based on notes alone, I could have had a temptation to blind buy.

  24. :

I got a sample of this scent from a Sephora purchase. It’s meant to be a feminine white flora with some citrusy tone. But I have to say it smells really synthetic and plasticy. It kind of reminds me of the original Juicy Couture but less creamy.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Now, this can be a little overpowering, so a little goes a long way and for me lasts all day. This to me can be a little strong, so I would not wear this to the office or to a gathering, as I feel because of it’s strength (and some of the notes in this) can be headache-inducing. But I love wearing this for shopping trips or lunch dates with friends or even date nights. This to me is not necessarily what I would call a ‘crowd pleaser,’ I do not think this is ‘generic’ but I do very much greatly appreciate it’s uniqueness and ‘personality’. When I purchased this, I wanted ‘something different,’ maybe a little edgy, even, and definitely a summer-type of scent, and this for me fit the bill wonderfully.
I do think this is one of those scents that can smell like 5 different scents on 5 different skins, based on skin chemistry. For me, when I wear a fragrance, I typically spray and ‘walk into’ a fragrance, or spritz on my clothing prior to getting dressed, so it does not mix with my skin so much. I find that for me, I get a more true-to-scent that way.
Side-note: I like that this bottle is sort of reflective of the scent. I feel like the design of this bottle is modern and classy and a little sophisticated, and I think that is somewhat a reflection of the fragrance itself. I always love when a bottle ‘matches’ what the fragrance smells like. Strange yeah, I know. But I like when it feels like the designer(s) put a little thought into the bottle.

I just got my bottle of this in the mail today after anxiously awaiting its arrival. I am not disappointed. The gardenia is definitely in the forefront but mingled in so gracefully is coconut and lily. Those are the only notes I immediately get, but they are amazingly well done. I feel like I stepped off a plane into a tropical paradise and it’s just what I needed. The days here are getting crisp and cool and this is a sweet taste of summer. Love, love, love it.

I loved this on a paper sample I got in a magazine, so much so that I started looking to buy a mini or rollerball on ebay. I wasn’t worried about the perfume smelling dramatically different on me because that’s never happened before. But luckily before I had time to buy anything, I happened to stop by Ulta, and found a tester.
On the paper it’s wonderful–fresh, BRIGHT florals, with just a hint of fruit and vanilla. It’s the kind of scent that makes you perk right up and smile, and fits the name perfectly. But on me, it goes acrid and sharp. The the fruit and vanilla disappears, and the flowers turn into a harsh, chemical smell. Honestly, it smells like some kind of cleaner. I had to wash it off after a couple of hours because it was beginning to give me a headache.
Lesson learned: ALWAYS try before buying.

Beautiful, classy, and charismatic. It’s a lovely fragrance to wear for public in any kind of fashion, that’s what makes it so versatile. I can’t stop sniffing my wrist when I wear it and it lasts a decent amount of time. It’s oh so girly and perfect for teens looking for something a step up from britney spears fruity fragrances as this leans more to floral. I just keep thinking of so many fond memories of being outside and going to farmers markets. It really does put me in a happy mood. It may not be everyones cup of tea but this is my lemonade.

Gorgeous, I got this scent from scent bird, because they recommended it because of my other perfumes I wear. I truly love it. I’m a nurse. The girls loved it at work, my patients loved it. Very floral, I love gardenias and this is what it reminds me of. It does stay with you all day, which I love. I always put it in my hair. Love love love.

  30. :

All I smell is honeysuckle and gardenia. If you like those, this might be a good choice for you. It’s a bit heavy, which I wasn’t expecting from the Kate Spade brand.

If you like this scent, Bath and Bodyworks came out with a new scent called Hello Beautiful that smells sort of similar to this. Not saying they’re exactly the same, but they are alike. My sister said the same thing! So I’m thinking it must be true. I love Live Colorfully!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

This is by far the most cloying perfume I have ever encountered in my life. My Lord… it’s disgusting. A HUGE blast of honeysuckle is all I smell and it’s STRONG. I had to change my clothing and wash my arms and neck, to try and remove it. It’s still there. Hey, at least it has excellent staying power for those who love it. I don’t smell any other notes but strong floral.
Gives me a stomach ache ! It’s going back tomorrow.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Despite it not being listed in the notes anywhere, I get a huge honeysuckle scent from this. It was a gift and I loved the red bottle but as soon as I put it on i knew it was waaayyyy too much white floral for me. This scent literally makes me cough. Not for me, and not “colorful” at all in my opinion.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

Live Colorfully is funny to me because despite its “colorful” name and very colorful bottle, it’s actually a very watery white floral with a little vanilla.
It opens aquatic-fruity, lots of coconut and water lily. It’s tropical in a poolside kind of way – a little watery, a little sunscreeny, but not all the way Coppertone. It doesn’t go full seaside like Bobbi Brown Beach or even salty like Lilly Pulizter Beachy.
After that, it blooms into big white gardenias, with a lingering trace of the tropical/aquatic tiare. The white flowers are very dominant and opaque, with a hint of vanilla keeping it on the warmer side, instead of other fresh-greeny or icy-cool gardenia scents.
Overall it’s long-lasting and sillage is moderate. It’s pure, uplifting, feminine. Simple and cheerful. Definitely a spring/summer fragrance, but might be overwhelming in intense heat.

I love this scent soooooo much! It smells very expensive.
I love collecting perfumes, and this is the only one out of all my many perfumes my husband loves. This is a sweet not sugary sweet white floral perfume.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

For me, I smelled heavy gardenia. It’s nice, but I am not such a fan of gardenia; this is definitely the dominate note. For floral fans, this is a winner!

I got a whole gift set of this at TJMaxx for under $50. And I sprayed it there and thought it was good. I went home, tried it on again, and it made me want to vomit. I don’t get any coconut whatsoever in it. I only smell a heady gardenia citrusy scent on me. I do think this is a cold weather scent because it’s so strong and spraying a lot would give off a grandma kind of vibe. Quite frankly, it’s just a grandma scent in my opinion. I’m hoping to return it today, but if I can’t, I’ll be glad to give it away.

  38. :

    coconut? really?
this is so much like original Marc Jacobs scent which I happen to like. Never would have I thought it has coconut in it because I cant smell it at all. Its very airy watery white floral to me.
There is NO WAY this smells like Bronze Goddess which is very dry citrus coconut. Not even close.
    Just my opinion

Very white floral. Reminds me Vera Wang Sheer Veil.

  40. :

This starts out aquatic – very much so. Lots of water lily and lotus…but, fortunately, it turns into a beautiful, tropical brew that’s uplifting and refreshing. This reminds me very much of Philosophy’s discontinued Field of Flowers Peony (even though Peony isn’t listed as a note…). Live Colorfully is very long-lasting and really enjoyable to wear.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

For some reason unbeknownst to me or anyone else, this scent comes across as watery on me. The water lily and star anise takes center stage and don’t let go. I’ve had it on for over an hour and no coconut and no vanilla smell. I like it because it’s a watery scent that doesn’t offend me sinuses.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

Mmmmm…coconut and gardenia in perfect balance. I could never wear this all the time because it is indeed quite strong, but I love the way Kate Spade does white floral. I loved her first fragrance because of the authenticity of the gardenia, honeysuckle, and other flowers, and I could easily detect each one and say, “ah, there’s the honeysuckle” or “ooo, there’s the gardenia”. Live Colorfully is the same way. I totally pick up the gardenia/tiare/coconut, and the drydown gives just the tiniest hint of amber to warm it up (I’m starting to notice as I get more into fragrance that my chemistry does not work with a lot of the common bottom notes, including amber, if they’re too heavy). This one is a charmer for sure. I think I’d actually like it for a spring-into-summer timeframe. Too hot outside and it could be cloying, but too early in the spring and the coconut may feel out of place. Right now though it’s winter and I’m smiling because this took me to an island for a little bit. Definitely gonna pick up a rollerball before my sample is finished.

  43. :

I usually don’t like perfume with coconut in the composition because it always reminds me the scent of tanning salons. This one is the exception. I was not totally impressed by it but was pleasantly suprised. Wearing Live Color Fully to me would be like adding that pretty hibiscus flower in your hair while looking at the turquoise Caribbean sea. What can i say ? The coconut is very well blended with the gardenia, water lily and vanilla and gives it a great fun tropical but classy vibe. Its a cute fragrance in a very pretty coral and gold bottle. The name suggest that either you have to be happy to wear this or it will make you smile and i like that. I wouldn’t wear LCF during winter season and especially not here in Montreal Canada from September to May but I will probably buy a small bottle before my next trip down south or next summer since my husband loves coconut scent =)…and since its the exception =).

  44. :

    5 out of 5

I got a sample of this. The sample was white florals, but a lot of waxy, creamy coconut that was basically all it morphed to in the dry down. It was really strong, I was told when I sprayed more than twice it was headache inducing, by more than one person. There was also a waxy scent that almost teetered on being a bit plastic/doll-like. Still, there was something about it I loved and wanted to buy a full bottle. I just figured I’d spray it very sparingly.
So I bought a bottle, a 50ml, and I’m so glad I did. This is one of those instances where the sample is more concentrated than what’s in a full bottle (an entirely different topic to discuss, for another time). Normally such an contrast is not a good thing, but in this case, it’s a great thing. The bottle is a lot gentler and softer. The white floral shows up cleaner and fresher and with an edge of aquatic that makes it smell slightly crisp. They’re very gentle white florals, no indoles, but very, VERY pretty nonetheless. I love Hawaiian flowers: gardenia, plumeria, pikake, hibiscus. This says it’s supposed to be gardenia and pikake, but IMO it smells closest to white plumeria with a little white lily mixed in (that crisp floral scent).
Mixed in is a very soft coconut water with a soft white vanilla. It adds a very creamy accent to the white florals that compliments them beautifully.
I’m especially happy because this is a very real coconut water scent (like breaking open a young coconut), that waxy edge I mentioned in the sample is now just like the slightly waxy smell a real coconut gives off.
    Has very decent longevity.
Edited: Unfortunately, about 1/3 through my bottle, I seem to have developed a sensitivity toward this scent. Every time I spray it, I sneeze, and the sensation of needing to sneeze never goes away. Noting this because I’ve never had this reaction to any type of fragrance before. Of course this is a personal issue, not implying this will happen to anyone else.

I love love this! I love the bottle, the way it smells on my skin. It has something lushly tropical on me. I am a newbie on telling what is what, Although I like what I like. I truly love good smelling stuff on me, all the time too. I spritz a little scent on my body after the shower even if I am going to bed. This is really rich and pleasantly over powerful. The bottle reminds me of a nicely wrapped present that’s just for me. I will keep this as a keeper in my fragrance collection.

This is really cute! It has a warm beachy tropical vibe, tons of gardenia and waxy coconut, with a warm doll-ish vanilla that I kind of like. As a gardenia fiend I really like it, it’s really girlish and fun, but I wish it had something to cut the sweetness though, I can see it being pretty cloying to actually wear in the summer time like I would want to.

Very pretty scent. I don’t see a jasmine note, but that was what I got from this. Must be the tiare and gardenia notes. I’ve long known that Kate Spade is after all of my money. This is just further proof.

I had such high hopes for this one. But on my skin all I get is diluted coconut water. Think I’ll stick to Beachy.

I love this one. Smells very much like my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, the 2015 edition. I might even like it more.

    Keyword:Sweetness
Kate Spade came out with this fragrance that is sweet and peppy. It has a citrusy flower smell to it that is very nice and floral. Some compare it to gardenias, I think of oranges and citron.

I cannot get over how much I love this fragrance. I smelled it in a magazine and fell in love. I went out and purchased it the next day.
It’s bright and cheerful. It smells like the beach. Be prepared to be slapped in the face with the smell of happiness. It smells like beautiful sunshine, warm air on your skin, beautiful butterflies floating on by. A perfect spring/summer fragrance, but also perfect for every day, whenever. The gardenia stands out to me the most, but not overly-so, just beautifully. More floral than fruity, but I just find this to be so well done, and I’m so glad to have this!

I was surprised at how much I liked this. It was just like burst of happy. 🙂
It is not something that I would purchase, nor normally wear, but I think if you are looking for a sweet, floral, fruity, happy, “safe” and pleasant scent, this would fit the bill.
I don’t smell a lot of gardenia in here, personally, & I certainly don’t think this is going to win any Fifi awards or make a huge impression on anyone, but it is a lovely day time scent that is feminine and clean smelling. The vanilla does warm it up a bit & make it a bit more mature than a lot of the fruity-florals I usually smell & I would say if you enjoy any of perfumes in the Givenchy Irrisistable line, or Amor Amor by Cacharel, or the Juicy Couture fragrances, you will like this. 🙂
    Cheers!

So I got a sample from Nordstrom that I tried yesterday and I love this. I love the tropical femininity of it. I was raised in Hawaii and this certainly has the tropical flower scent to it in a not so cheesy way. It is simply gorgeous.
The Gardenia is strong but then what is wrong with that? I was wearing a cashmere cardigan yesterday and this morning my fiance picked it up to move it and exclaimed how wonderful it smelled. He said “You were wearing this yesterday and I love this perfume!” as he kept pressing the cardigan to his face. I was on alert as I thought he was going to take my sweater with him and use it as his very expensive woobie today. LOL!
So I will be purchasing this today as my love and I LOVE it so much. It reminds me of Gardenia by Chanel and is not cheap smelling to me at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE! 9/10

I like this very much! Such a bright and uplifting scent!! Lush creamy floral, the vibe is very floral, yet never sharp, nor screechy! The white flowers are a bit tropical, yet I can wear it in winter. Versatile feminine perfume, mature but not oldish, this is a quality perfume!!! I will add all of Kate Spade’ s perfumes have that happy cheerful vibe!!! The drydown is warm. Sensuous on my skin..!!!

I get lilies and sugary vanilla. It’s very very sweet on me, with a hint of lily of the valley scented dolls. It’s not a bad scent, but it seems a little childlike and sweetly, sugary couquetish for my tastes.

On my skin it’s basically a watery version of Lancome Poeme. I used to love that
