Ambroxan bomb with strong citruses and some lavender, quite generic. I don’t like the smell, it burns my nose but I like the bottle.

to my nose this opens up more herbal than citrus. A different, elegant take on a sport scent. nice and fresh with a pleasant drydown. longevity a bit lacking, but this will definitely make you standout from the “citrusy” sports crowd. inoffensive, but uniqueness would make me question whether to blind buy it.

  3. :

Very classy and subtle scent but also very week. At the start you smell lemony, sweet (in a good way) notes while in the drydown the acquatic notes are prominent, may be similar to versace pour homme class of perfume.
Ultra safe blind buy. Masculine, fresh, delicate, elegant.

Impressive stuff from Lanvin. Ticks all the boxes for me as a fresh scent which is ideal for Summer use. I love the fresh citrus and lavender opening, combined with the smooth musk later gives this an elegant sweetness making a great easy to wear scent which receives compliments regularly.
You cant go wrong with this for the money as an easy grab non offensive, versatile scent imo. Longevity and sillage is above average for this type of scent and it really does smell more expensive than it actually is.
Quality, value and versatility! Check it out….

Lovely Frag. Had tons of compliments. I think it’s the lavender top notes and woody base. Fades quickly though.

    This is a good cologne
Lives up to the name homme sport.
Don’t let the bottle fool you though, blue in colour but the smell is herbal (green) . Same in case with issey blue. Both are quiet nice. I have both and prefer this one over the blue because it’s more rounded off.
    It is cooling and masculine.
Starts of herbal and becomes this soft mesh of soft woody smell by its end.
    Average performance
    Casual daytime occasion.
Can be had for very reasonable prices.
Probs will accumulate compliments on the right guy.
    7/10 give it a go!

Good peppery fruity sport scent that has depth to it. You can actually wear this outside the gym. Excellent cheapie to have in your collection. Great for leasure wear

I have both L’Homme and L’Homme Sport and I must say it could be a school-example of how to turn a scent into “sporty” (something that many companies are doing wrong in my opinion). The result is a really sophisticated sport scent, that keeps you pushing in the gym, but doesnt put you in the testosterone-junkie basket:D Its a stand-out sport scent, not in a loud way, but still something that have more character and class than the avr sport scents out there.
Of course the longetivity is a big issue here, same as with the original L’Homme (and pretty much every Lanvin parfume, male or female). Its borderline ridiculous, You have an hour to impress with this one (even less on the respays)
The only way I see this making any sense, is if you apply it before your morning work-out, and take a shower and apply something else for the day, that will last a bit longer. If you can pick it up on some crazy sale (I did see 100ml going for 25 EUR inc shipping) , I would say do it, leave one in your gym bag, its fresh and classy. Cant go wrong with it.

Sprayed a sample… alcohol on the onset… a few minutes later, just a bitter aquatic citrus Windex glass cleaner to my nose. The bitterness is just too much for me to wear comfortably. Reminds me of Eternity Aqua… but Aqua is a bit smoother. Not a fan of both.

I’ve always liked Lavin scents and I got this a while ago, but this is the first time really wearing it. Very nice, the opening is awesome, is very fresh and not overwhelmingly citrusy, I think the lavender and sage stand out right away and made a nice impression in my brain , for me is the perfect fragrance for a brisk Spring morning. Lets see how it goes through the day, but so far I got a compliment.
    Summer 2016 update:
I can’t believe last time I wore it, it was May, 2015, maybe I forgot to put in my timeline, but today, I really enjoy wearing it, and I could get the herbal opening, and it settles to a very enjoyable fragrance for the rest of the day. I love the cobalt blue bottle, it looks very nice in the counter top.

Sage and geranium really shines through in this one. While they smell nothing alike, l’Homme Sport has that same dry-cool-damp-fresh tension that vintage Polo Blue had. Good stuff for the small price it can be had for. Wears very well in subtropical humidity. Clean, crisp, thick, and long lasting.

  14. :

Actually Lanvin Homme Sport reminded me of Nickel’s Eau Maximum……both are supposed to be “fresh” scents, but end up way too herbal for my tastes when it comes to sport frags. Couldn’t stand either one honestly.
But to those that enjoy this herbal-spice style of warm weather fragrance, the Lanvin and the Nickel offering are both long-lasting and great quality for the price.

This was a present form my best friend and Oh! How I was impressed with this tiny 30 ml bottle… so simply but complex at the same time…
Usually, I don’t wear “sporty” fragrances, with the exception of polo sport woman, which I like because of its weird fruity vibe…
But this one is WOOW!! So classy… to me its not the typical sporty fragrance… it’s fresh yes, but sorrounded by a thick aura… maybe a fresh thickness? And I think that at this point, that thickness is due to the patchouli note, very persistant, on my skin is herbal patchouli and then becomes very sweet, almost with chocolate undertones… the first spritz is fresh lavender, citrusy notes and then becomes a classy fresh/spicy scent, and by the way, very very long lasting!!
Really nice, a good new discover…

Lanvin L’Homme Sport really impressed me. I really do not go for “sport” colognes BUT I saw L’Homme Sport for a great price and said “why not?” I am very glad I took the plunge and got it. At first spray I smell lots of lavender (my 3rd favorite note) followed by a light citrus. Dries down to a peppery/lavender. This is definitely NOT a powerhouse of a cologne. It is gentle and calming. I can smell it on myself and that is all that counts. So, gents if you could sample this one do so. I think it is worth having it in your collection.

  17. :

Need fresh scent and don’t know what to wear? This solves the problem. Not unique or mind-blowing but simply smells good. I get slightly above average longevity. Projection also does well for the first 2 hours then dies down to a skin scent. Good casual, work, gym, spring/summer choice. It’s one that’s not serious and knows it. Any age could pull this off, imo. If you don’t have many fragrances, are just getting into the scent game, want something fresh, or are limited on your budget, look at getting this. For the price, it’s hard to beat.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

Mellow and relaxed fragrance with decent longevity. I can’t distinguish any particular notes, but let me say it reminds me original Baldessarini. Perfect for spring and fall plus it’s reasonably priced which is a rare thing nowadays.

  19. :

Love this bottle (that soft frosty blue glow) and love this fragrance. Very nice surprise, recommended to me as a cheap buy, and it made little impression at first. But after a few days, I started to notice complexities. It has an excellent morning start-of-day freshness, one that really seems optimistic without being at all sweet or cloying. More lemon than lavendar, but then the musk emerges as the day goes on, and its quite masculine and soothing. It’s fresh, not at all mysterious, maybe the right word is … bracing?

  20. :

Herbs and citruses after the initial pepper opening. It is pleasant and safe. I can’t see many folks hating this and on the other hand I can’t see too many loving it. This is the 1st time that I have reached for it in years and I see why.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

Meh….very refreshing lemon opening a bit on the hard-candy side with a creamy floral note that’s just barely detectable and….well, to me, that’s it! A Sport scent only in name. Was hoping to make it a daily wear fragrance for here in So. Florida, but it’s not working…too light, no longevity and very basic makeup…one of my poor blind buys but fortunately, did not break the bank (the only real upside!).

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I sampled it and I surprised very pleasantly. Yes it reminds me truth by Calvin Klein in the whole aura and this is not bad at all because I used to wear truth before discontinue it but I find this one more well blended and there is not the harsh herbal feeling as there was in truth. It is really a different option to sport versions that there are outhere. Very fresh and clean without be citrusy, lemony aquatic and this fact makes it manly enough and very wearable for more than one season.
Very good impression to the people around you too with lot of compliments here and there!! Longevity above average while projection is between moderate and heavy without being “in your face” during its life. Recommented!!!

A very perplex, special but still noticeable blend of Lavender and Lemon! This is certainly a great one to try,and it has a good strength in changing your mood ,thanks to its wonderful citrus notes!
The only thing I expected from it was a better longevity, however the fragrance itself has a lot to say,and can fly you to another world!

  24. :

this is pretty impressive….and for 16 bucks its well worth the BB.

Im not that good as talking about notes however I bought this for my boyfriend (who is very picky clean and loves citrus scents more than other scents) as a christmas gift and he just fell in love with it wearing it everyday day/night winter/summer and became his favourite ! Its so clean gentle and has a moderate portion of all the good notes! A must have

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Lanvin’s L’homme sport is a fragrance of 2 parts. you have the initial citrus and pepper top notes which are really lovely and then it dries down into a very ho hum lavender musk drydown. I actually bought it because I really loved the top notes when the SA sprayed it on my arm. for the first hour and a half it’s really gorgeous. after that it is pretty generic. you would have smelled a similar drydown in quite a few others. it’s almost like they ran out of ideas on this one.The two halves dont really belong in the same fragrance. it’s not bad but it could have been great. projection is a little restrained and longevity is a good 5 hours plus with 4 sprays. makes a good daily wear or casual frag for spring and summer and it can found for relatively cheap prices. 7 out of 10 for me. not bad but there are better options out there.

  27. :

This scent has struck up a great balance, unlike the tennis pro it has been made for. Don’t know if anyone has noticed but Rafa has one massively developed arm and one little, puny, skinny girl arm. To be fair he’s evened things out a little since then.
Lanvin impressed me greatly with Avant Garde but I still didn’t know what to expect from this sport fragrance having never tried the original L’Homme.
Well it’s very nice indeed the opening is a little of what you’ve smelled before…citrus lemon CK One kind of vibe. Once the initial sharpness of the lemon dies down it becomes a mixture of fruit, can’t quite place what though?
The mixture of musk and herbs is perfectly executed in my humble opinion. Leave it to dry down for a while and it turns into a gorgeous scent which rivals any sport fragrance I’ve ever sniffed out for freshness.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

I love the brand on clothing, but on this L’homme range I think Lanvin needs to up the game a bit. It smells good but in a cheap way, it does not match the Lanvin status. Its a fresh but strong cheapy smell. I cannot bring myself to appreciate it in a way that most people think of it. I expect way better from Lanvin. I have it and least fav from the rest.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

This is really, really good! That makes 3 for Lanvin, who is probably the most under-the-radar, most underappreciated fragrance house of all time. Arpege Pour Homme and Avant Garde are absolute knockouts, and L’Homme Sport isn’t far behind. In fact, for what it is L’Homme Sport is fantastic… a fresh, unique yet pleasantly sophisticated scent that is so much better than the ‘sports’ moniker would lead you to believe. Perfect for when you just want to feel fresh, clean and simply ‘smell really good’.
Come to think of it, this is in a similar vein to Allure Homme Sport – just a great smelling fresh scent that’s big on compliments and works in just about any situation. Both are more than good enough to stand on their own without the misleading ‘sports’ name. Like AHS, women adore this stuff!

That pepper really smacks you in the face at first but it softens up quickly and the lemon takes over. Though the bergamont and lemon are present, it’s not a standard citrusy sport scent. I would recommend sampling this first because it’s unusual, although it’s very affordable for a blind buy.

  31. :

Endure, … it takes a while, but you’ll totally appreciate it.

I was expecting some more citrus, less sweet, less fruity and more herbal. this indeed strongly reminds Baldessarini Hugo Boss although from the ingredients, i didnt expect that. not my taste more or less, i prefer Baldessarini…surely, not a sport scent, more an everday casual scent.

  33. :

I just finished it 2day & I have 2 say that it’s in my humble opinion better that the original version , u know a nicer fragrance , especially lemon and lavender as it works better on my skin than the original version but that is all 2 it , nothing more & nothing less as well so I m not going 2 buy it again.
    Scent : 6/10
    Sillage & Projection : 6/10
    Longevity : 5/10

I was too quick to harshly dismiss this from a simple arm test.
After one month, i went back to it and it was a totally different story.
Fresh lemon, lavender and sage. The combination kinda gives me a pineapple vibe, a well behaved pineapple and not overly sweet.
Projection is fantastic for a “fresh” scent, it’s strong (but never intrusive).
Longevity is easily 8+ hours on my skin.
    Love this stuff !
Apologies to Lanvin for judging too fast.

This is so much richer, smarter and more sophisticated than most other ‘sport’ flankers, which are often blunt, shrill and insistent. Lanvin Sport is fruity and clever yet complex and grown-up. This is in a different league, and could easily have been marketed as a stand-alone fragrance. This deserves more attention than it gets. It’s not quite perfume art, but it most certainly deserves respect. I’m going to buy a second, and maybe a third, bottle as I fear this gem may be discontinued. And it’s so inexpensive.

  37. :

    I throw my bottle away…

I bought the tester for this back in 2009 in Dallas, during the peak of summer. Dallas is known for extremely hot and scorching weather. I wore this fragrance a lot during that summer, and really enjoyed it, works wonders in hot weather. I would not call this aquatic or sporty honestly, it is more of a chypre with a beautiful lavender/moss note blended with geranium which is what gives it a citrusy camphor like smell. Very underated and very sexy! Girls love this stuff

No its not “another citrus” or “same sport” scent! It’s one of those best sport e.d.t I ever tested! Very long-lasting, fresh & seductive. It’s citrusy in it’s own and very special way (compare to other citrusy-sport scent’s that are very ordinary & weak…) This one has also very pleasant floral notes. Very unique fragrance, kind of classic fresh scent meets the fresh modern one in the same bottle. I can wear this elegant sport scent everywhere. Frequently get compliments. Masterpiece of Lanvin!

  45. :

    5 out of 5

Lanvin is a cologne’s brand of quality, good projection and lasting power, in general. But when it’s about this sport version, we are talking about something that really deserves the title, because this cologne is ideal for those who practice sports or for those who want a “radical” touch from a cologne. Differently from the “summer” versions, which are usually weaker and fresher, the “sport” versions can’t be weak. At least, they shouldn’t be! They should handle the pressure of those who wear colognes and do physical activities all day long. Unfortunately, this doesn’t happen most of the time. And that’s why people turn up their noses to the sport versions of lots of good colognes, precisely because they are too fresh, don’t stay on the skin and don’t bring nothing new.
L’homme Sport is fantastic! The aroma is pleasant, fresh, fruity, juicy and it has excellent projection and lasting power. Starts with amalfi lemon and bergamot, which give the citrusy quality to the scent. Yet, in the beginning, pepper and petitgrain. In its heart, lavender (sincerely, I can’t notice) and sage. In its base, musk, patchouli leaves and oakmoss, which is a fundamental piece of its construction, since it helps to keep the aroma for hours and gives an herbal touch to the fragrance.
On my skin it has projected A LOT for the 4 initial hours and then, it stayed calm (it doesn’t mean weak!), exuding a little bit less intense and staying richer, more natural on the skin. The lasting power is excellent, more than 9 hours, which is amazing for a cologne with such fruity notes and fresh characteristics.
The coolest thing about this cologne is that it brings you a lot of compliments, makes those who already had it a nostalgia feeling and surprises who just met it. And you, will be still right there?

Lanvin Sport, contains the freshness of spring, the citrus opening envelop the senses in a charming, yesterday for the first time I could smell this miracle and for a while I found a piece of a puzzle that has completed a memory linked to (again) a city street that displayed the first fruits of fruit while around the wet from a sudden storm that drives away the heat, and all around a hint of lemon and citrus fruit, citrus fruits themselves to a few hours after spraying
I can still make out, it’s something overwhelming and it’s like being able to enter the Stargate and having returned to tell the nectar of flowers and fruity freshness but also a mixture of propellant memorable feats.
    night is the party begin

Just tried this and this juice is superb!! One of the best aromatic citruses I have tried – ever.
The patchouli carries the fragrance nicely. And the drydown is absolutely gorgeous. Longevity and sillage are great!
Lanvin L’homme Sport is a really nice scent, especially in Summer.

  49. :

Sport flankers can either smell mediocre or fantastic. Thankfully Lanvin’s L’Homme Sport falls into the latter category. Despite having a citrusy feel, this fragrance is also a touch herbaceous, which makes it a lot more complex than other sport inspired flankers.
It opens with a crisp and refreshing blend of lemon, pepper and petit grain. It immediately struck me as something best suited to warm Summer days. The heart is mostly smooth, masculine lavender with a slightly clean edge.
I love that L’Homme Sport has a spicy, herbal feel. It would bore me silly if it was just a straight-up citrus scent. There’s this strange presumption amongst consumers that all ‘sport flankers’ are citrusy and/or aquatic. Not necessarily. A touch of spice or herbs in a fragrance actually blends quite beautifully with natural perspiration, so I’m all for men wearing L’Homme Sport to the gym or out jogging.
Reviews on L’Homme Sport are mixed. However I suppose that’s to be expected whenever lavender plays a dominant role in a fragrance’s composition. You’ll either love it or hate it.
The longevity isn’t half bad, which came as quite a surprise. It lasted a good six or more hours on my boyfriend’s skin after I sprayed him with the tester in the store. It also has moderate sillage. I recommend.

A fragrance that combines a certain elegance –given by an old class aspect− , comfort and cleanliness sensation.
It’s start with very refresh and clean action of bergamot and lemon in the first 05 minutes. Later the lavender appears, together the sage−that gives a fresh and sweet spice note to this fragrance. And then the oakmoss, with a velvety musk , stays until the final.
For me it’s a very agreeable fragrance, discreet and jovial. For young men with a refined behavior and gentleman spirit.

I mourn over this fragrance. You know why? Longevity issues. The scent alone is SUPERB. Think sitting on a beach watching the waves crash on the shore drinking a nice cold glass of lemonade with your blue jean shorts on and your white t-shirt resting over your shoulder. Top notes: Zesty lemon opening, middle notes: toned down a bit with a flavorful cream lavender smooth as silk, Base notes: Very faint but still there. Patchouli and musk.
Longevity? 3- and a very lenient 5 hr mark
Projection? pretty good for 30 Minutes and close to the skin through out.
Now you see why I mourn…. Amazing Scent which I give a 10 but a 3 for poor longevity. If you see this, try it before you blind buy it. Everyone’s skin is different but for me I had to pass…… Bobster in mourning…. 🙁

So subtle… Citric scent, which is muted and soft to begin with, dissipates after 2-3 minutes and lavender and moss take over for about 2 hours.
I don’t know about the clean smell but it’s definitely crisp and silky smooth.
You won’t get compliments but people will notice you
50ml for less than $20 is ideal. Don’t spend more than that as there are better EDTs out there for $20-30 range.

This is my favorite male fragrance. Fresh, yet elegant. It is suitable for sport and for everyday life and office. As other have posted before me, this is not a typical sports scent. In the beginning was a little harsh, but then becomes incredibly soft, pleasant and beautifully balanced.
When I saw the perfume for the first time I grabbed the bottle, but then found that the content is even better. The longevity is very good too.
Perfect in every way – smell, durability, bottle! 10/10

Just bought this for a blind buy. I read a review that rated it very highly.
I love the design and looks, very manly and sporty at the same time (which you’d expect from the name).
The scent is different and fresh, which I really like. This is a different fresh to Davidoff Cool Water as that is just expensive soapy water.
It lasts for a good amount of time for the price, I think about four hours until it really starts to fade.
Overall, a great day scent for the office (or other work place). You won’t be disappointed for the price that it is. I got a 30ml bottle for £9… Bargin!!

First I did not like the opening. Far to cloying lemon and very artificial. After a while I was getting to like the fragrance. I get a lot of moss/green in the basenotes. It’s different and very weird to smell the first couple of times but now I actually like it. It’s a soft smell and the moss is only detectable when you’re close to the skin. In general lanvin sport creates a nice soft smell which is pleasant but for people that are more evolved in the fragrance department this is not a groundbreaker. Though the moss gives something that will please any fragrancehead so it is still worth buying. Also the fragrance is very cheap.

A strong, sporty scent which will appeal to the lovers of LaCoste Male fragrances…
    I applied 6 heavy sprays..
0-2 mins – 1.75 foot projection. A fresh, but could be sickly if over applied, sport aroma, just what it says it is….but if someone was to blind fold me and make me smell this and guess who made it , then I would bet big on LaCoste and I would bet and bet until I was broke…. It’s as if someone has made a LaCoste cocktail of all of their scents to form this edt…
