This scent reminds me of sorbet (italian ice) that you order at an upscale italian restaurant for dessert. At first it mostly reminds me of a high end lemon sorbet. The drydown brings out even more of a coconut sorbet. If i smell closely, i can smell both at the same time.
What a delicious fragrance. It’s true that the sugar is not cloying which worried me before trying this.
I have never sniffed a used condom before (referring to Luminan’s review below) but there is absolutely nothing reminiscent of a condom, sperm or old sex sweat smells in the lotion or spray bottles i have.

A sugary lemon scent that fades to a coconut base. I really like it, lemon and coconut are two of my favorite scents! I only wish the lemon note was more sour and less sweet.

The Lemon is fresh, the Sugar is not cloying, the Coconut is in the background. There is a musk base note to carry it. It’s a summer gourmand that is reminiscnet of lemon dessert, YUM!!!
Thankfully, there is NO TRACE of the dreaded Lemon Household Cleaner.

I have this as a body mist. I like the citrus note, but the coconut note makes it smell like a used condom. Not for me 🙁

Almost an year ago i reviewed this fragrance, but after using for quite a while, my opinion changed drastically
    I can’t stand it.
At first, it was something new, intriguing (even being simple and unsophisticated). Also, i LOVE Coconut Passion, and it shares the same sweet vanillic coconut note, so i tried really hard to love it.
But the Lemony note REALLY puts me off. Is not a citrusy lemon. Is sugary lemon, and with time, it makes me sick. The coconut and the lemon don’t really mix together, don’t blend in a nice way. I feel like I’m trying to wear two fragrances at the same time.
Is not a bad fragrance. Is just not for me. So i recommend to test it before buying (i know is cheap, but nobody wants a bottle of fragrance accumulating dust forever).
Is definitely for summer, but unfortunately, not for my summer. Also, last forever and the sillage is GREAT for a body splash.

Lemon Escape is one of those cheap thrills that I quite enjoy in private because it’s so sweet and cosy, but probably wouldn’t wear in public, because it’s really too unsophisticated to be taken seriously on an adult. So for me this is definitely a “home alone” kind of smell; I especially like to wear it to go to sleep occasionally.
The scent has a couple of distinct phases, each very lemony and edible in their own way. At first it smells very bright, like sparkling and very sweet lemonade, and after a while it mellows into a softer, creamier kind of sweetness with a hint of coconut. It’s straightforward, without much depth and a bit synthetic-smelling at times, but these characteristics are to be expected in this category and they aren’t necessarily bad at all. It really does smell very nice and edible (although not in a “natural ingredients” kind of way); good enough to make me want to eat my arms off sometimes. I also think this works well in all seasons, it has enough warmth and sweetness to it for winter and enough brightness for warmer weather.
Like other reviewers have said, this is more or less what I expected DKNY’s Sweet Delicious Creamy Meringue to smell like: like an actual juicy delicious citrus dessert in perfume form. DKNY’s version turned out to be a lot more subtle and restrained; I’m not going to say it’s worse than this, it smells a bit less cheap (which it is) and makes more of an attempt towards seriousness, but Lemon Escape is a lot more exuberant, easier to like, and closer to what I was looking for.

This perfume smells like a lemon pie topped with fruit loops and a little bit of shredded coconut. A sweet combination. I can smell the coconut but it’s not as prominent. Altogether, the notes make a fun perfume. It has a moderate lasting power and silage. Very inoffensive compared to other gourmand scents out there.

Reminds me of Fresh Sugar Lemon. Upon spritzing, there is a faint memory jog of Mom dusting the furniture with Pledge. Then it’s gone and settles into a creamier, richer sweetness..the coconut? I get a little vanilla too, perhaps I’m imagining it.

Lemon drop scent with a sweet sugar coconut dry down. Sweet but not too cloying — the lemon is very fresh. Delicious treat, reminds me of a tall glass of sweet lemonade that’s heavy on the sugar! Not a super serious scent but it’s fun for summer if you’re looking for a gourmand that can be worn in warmer temperatures.

I am not generally one to wear super sweet perfumes – at least not anymore. However, I think Lemon Escape may just be one of the most wearable sweet perfumes I have ever tried! It makes me think of warm, homey memories. This frag is perfectly suited to today’s weather – it’s cool and kind of windy, a bit drizzly here and there, and Lemon Escape has such a soothing effect on my senses. It smells like I have been baking delicious treats in a warm kitchen all day. I love that it really isn’t overpowering. It’s so subtle and wonderful. It’s also different than the other fruity floral concoctions that seem to be a revolving door in the VS Fantasies collection. Too bad it is limited edition!! I bet this would also blend well with Vanilla Lace or Coconut Passion. I will have to try it on our next cool day! I do think Lemon Escape is best suited to cooler weather, but that is mostly a preference thing.
For those who are not fans of sweet, I still say give this a shot while you can. The lemon isn’t sharp, the sugar isn’t too sweet, and the coconut is perfectly toasted rather than smelling like suntan lotion. For the price right now (on clearance) it’s totally worth it!

Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Citrus Lemon Escape.
    Notes: Lemon Sugar & Coconut.
First of all, I didn’t like this scent before because there is something it in that reminds me of the lemon-flavored tablets that I used to take during sick days when I was a kid.
But bam! After I’ve read positive reviews about this frag, I have finally changed my mind and bought it. This scent is brilliant because it changes throughout the wear and lasts really well. At least for me. /o/
The initial spray is really fresh, sparkling lemon! Then after a few seconds, it’s bursting with powdered sugar. It’s sweet but not sickly sweet. The good thing and what I love about this is that I don’t smell any coconut at all. I despise anything that smells like coconut except this one!
This is purely a combination of delicious lemon cupcakes topped with sugar sprinkles and the dry down is much much more delicious as it really smells like fluffy and creamy lemon pie.
For all sweet and gourmand lovers, you gotta have this one!

I agree with everything StopHammertime said below me. The only thing i would add, for those who can’t actually picture the fragrance by the description of “Lemon Meringue Pie” is: Picture the Coconut Passion fragrance. Now add that lemony frost, made from sugar, milk and lemon juicy. There you have it: Lemon Escape.
The Coconut in is EXACTLY like in Coconut Passion. Coconut Passion is already a tropical fragrance in my opinion, but this one takes it to a whole new level. Is more flirty and fun. Those of you who like CP will probably like this one (unless you hate lemon).

This perfume is PERFECT!!!!!!!!! Here, let me bore you with my back story.
When I first heard of the DKNY Lemon Meringue perfume, I thought I had to have it. At the time I thought it had already been discontinued, and there was only like one amazon listing I could find of the perfume for sale. It was like $210. The price was steadily dropping for a few months, and it got down to $90. I ALMOST pounced at that point, but still really felt I needed to get at least a sample or something before spending THAT much on it.
A few days later I was checking out my local Kohls to try the new Britney Spears Tropical Fantasy, when THERE I SAW IT!!! I almost had a heart attack! I saw the DKNY Lemon Meringue perfume! I was so nervous my hands were shaking as I picked up the bottle and sprayed it on my arm. I let it dry for a second, put my arm up to my nose… and was SO disappointed. I already had what it was going to smell like built up in my head, through the notes and reviews, it was like I could literally smell it before I even tried it. In my mind’s eye I could see it smelling like fresh-made lemon meringue pie, like a slice from my favorite childhood restaurant.
Moment of truth… it smelled like powder and old lemon. Frankly I found it kind of gross, and was very glad I didn’t blind buy the overpriced bottle on amazon when I thought I ‘had to have it’.
Anyway. So months after that disappointment I go into Victoria’s Secret and see this bottle sitting on the shelf. I dislike most VS perfumes, but the notes in this one were calling to me, so I tried it. This is EXACTLY what I had been envisioning the DKNY frag to smell like. This is PERFECT. This smells exactly like lemon meringue pie from Village Inn. It reminds me of going out to dinner with my grandmother as a child and splitting a piece of pie with her at the end. Ughhhhh this is my fave. I am about to literally order 5 bottles of this from the website, because I can just see them discontinuing this and I don’t want to be without it.
Okay, so the initial spray is pretty lemony. The coconut, in its ‘traditional’ smell, comes out for like 2 minutes after the opening, then quickly melts in with the lemon and sugar to start smelling like a crust. Then for a few hours, you get the very perfect lemon meringue pie smell. Over time it gets softer and softer until it just fades away. The lasting power is pretty great, I have the EDT and it lasts for 4-5 hours. For the most part I find this a very linear scent, the opening is a little different but after the first 3 minutes you are pretty much smelling what you are going to smell until it dissipates.
Man this perfume is just so damn GOOD.

Really fresh and pretty, if you like lemon/gourmand. I use it as an after shower spray in the summer, and since I live in the sub-tropics, I find that if I spray it under my regular perfume and freshen up with it throughout the day, it holds and enhances the perfume scent on the skin while adding a fun summery twist on those hot muggy Florida summer days.

Love this, it’s delicious and lasts surprisingly long for a body spray.

Delicious sugary lemon scent with just a hint of baked crust. It’s a 100% duplicate of Bath & body Works’ long discontinued Hello Sugar! (which makes complete sense as Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works have been recycling each other’s fragrances for years…). Coconut note doesn’t resemble any range of coconut (toasted to tropical), and instead just smells like a whisper of baked crust.
The Eau de Toilette is not much longer lasting than the splash/mist. EDT is convienient for bringing along in purse/bag, but the splash/mist is more economical, especially during a 7/$35 or 8/$35 sale. Layering with lotion/body cream/body butter does extend fragrance longevity. Sillage is soft, unless you participate in a Phoebe Buffet-type of perfume application.

I Just purchased the perfume spray and I bought 5 of them, because I LOVE THIS PERFUME!!! Totaly Love it, yep! It is amazing! It smells like a REAL REAL LEMON PYE or a LEMON COOKIE. People think that there is a pye in the room. It smells like the tittle: lemon, sugar and coconut. It is simple but delicious. I could say that it is a little bit musky.
Problems are: it is a limited edition (at least, I think so)and it doesn’t last long. I forgot: here in Peru, it is difficult to find Victoria’s Secret products.
Perfect for people who like edible and sweet smells.

For fans of BBW’s long discontinued Hello Sugar, this one is a VERY close replacement. A nice sweet sugary candied lemon.
