Description

Issey Miyaké thought about creating a perfume that was “as clear as spring water”, combining the spray of a waterfall, the fragrance of flowers, and the scent of springtime forest. L’Eau d’Issey achieved an enormous popularity, especially in the United States in the 1990s.
L’Eau d’Issey is an aquatic floral scent with transparent notes of lotus, freesia and cyclamen and juicy melon.
The middle note of peony, lily and carnation reveals the perfume’s character.
The end note is a refined woody scent with the notes of cedar, sandal, musk and amber. It was created in 1992 by Jacques Cavallier.

I have my bottle sitting at the dusty back corner of my perfume wardrobe for years. (It used to be a favorite back in college.) Because I was so bored of it, and remember it was too soapy for me at some point. Last month I’ve decided to use it up, so i have more room for new stuffs:-p
And this time L’eau d’Issey glow on me! It is so clean, fresh florally scent, a true classic! Last all day. Now i’m sad that it’s gone.

90’s in a bottle. Very unique, very different, instantly recognizable. Forget the flankers, none of them comes close to the genius of the original. This is a futuristic lily of the valley behind a waterfall. Although it’s not a simple composition and has a lot of notes, I find it fitting for a minimal aesthetic. Think of the original CK Eternity ad with Christy Turlington – I always thought that should have been the ad for L’eau d’Issey, as it captures the essence of this perfume much better. Unfortunately it gives me headache, so I can only adore it from a distance. But it is one of the legendary perfumes, if you are into unique scents and don’t like the sugary sweet types, try it and see if it works for you. Not a crowd pleaser, not a safe choice, don’t buy it blindly.

Lovely fresh, clean, slightly spicy floral scent. I have faint memories of this from the 90s, but it largely passed me by. Recently my aunt has started wearing it and as soon as I smelled it on her, I wanted it for myself!
I get a huge amount of lily of the valley; carnation and musk to a lesser extent, and something I don’t quite recognise which might be the lotus. Although I don’t pick up any melon (which is a shame because I love eating cantaloupe!), I can – as Rouu Abd El-Latif said in her J’Adore review (Best in Show: Melon) – sense its echo.
Silage is soft but longevity incredible – I can still smell a whisper 24 hours (and two showers) later!
EDIT: I re-applied just before writing this review, and after a half hour I’ve noticed the melon emerging more distinctly.

This perfume revolutionized my ideas about perfumes. I don’t wear it very often but I love having a bottle around my house. It is a masterpiece, although in the avant-garde sense of word. that does not mean it is not wearable. It is very much so. It means that it was perfume like no one imagined before, no one thought that perfume could smell like this. Today I discovered that it was created by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, man that obviously made a difference in the our perception of what perfume is and what it can do for us – meaning, being not only nice and attractive smell, but also work of art, self content and in the same time hugely influential in broad cultural sense of word. there are so many connotations of L’eau d’Issey. For me, it is the perfume that radiates, and it radiates something abstract, something that has no resemblance of anything that you can put your finger on. It radiates transparency, luminescence.

How is this I have’nt made a review on this master piece yet?? Let’s make things clear, I am too much of a perfume junkie to have a real signature scent, but if I was able to stick to one, it would probably be this one! When i first tried it, the opening made me think of a jessica mcclintock kind of strong 90’s floral! Not good at all for me! But than, around 20-30 minutes later, when the dry down comes, the melon blooms!!!! I know fruits dont bloom like flowers but trust me, in this perfume, the melon blooms!!! It is SO GORGEOUS!!! It feels so fresh, clean and juicy, and just sweet enough to stay feminine. The warmer the weather the better! If you ever smelled this one straight from the bottle, on a paper stripe or tried it just a few minutes and did’nt like it, i’m telling you, you do not know this perfume at all! I strongly encourage to try it again and let time do it’s magic with it! You wont regret it!

I’m glad I didn’t dismiss my sample of L’Eau d’Issey after looking at the note pyramid, which doesn’t appeal to my personal taste at all, because I like it a lot more than I thought I would. That’s partly because this is one of those scents where it’s hard to pick out any individual note, it’s just so well blended – so there’s no danger of overdosing on notes I don’t particularly enjoy, like melon or peony. Instead, it’s just a fluffy cloud of scent, and very comfortable to wear as a result.
The opening especially is very nice: aquatic in the best way possible, clean and refreshing without straying to “sporty” territory. As it dries down it becomes gradually sweeter and more like a generic, albeit nice, nineties fruity-floral. If the opening lasted longer I might consider getting a little bottle, because I think it would be perfect for work, for instance: refreshing and very enjoyable to myself, and highly unlikely to be offensive to anyone else. But the drydown isn’t really my thing, at least not anymore, so I think sampling was enough with this one after all.

When it sits on my skin after 30-60 minutes it starts to smell like Tommy Hilfiger on me. Interesting. That I kind of like because this lasts a lot longer than Tommy.

I’ve been wearing this off and on since about 2000, it’s one of my favorites for summer, so refreshing, clean and lightly floral. Also still have some of the spray body lotion which is great to layer with the edt. Delicate enough for daytime wear, the drydown is like rosewater on me and I love that!

I first discovered this last year and wondered where this perfume had been all my life. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this during the 90’s. It’s so fresh, gentle, and airy. A lovely mix of lotus, lily-of-the-valley, lily, and peony. This is similar to Calvin Klein Escape, but L’eau d’Issey has sweeter floral notes which I like better. I also found this fragrance blends nicely with Hempz original body lotion. I wore the two together a lot last summer and plan to do the same this year.

I bought a roller ball of this two summers ago and fell in love with it. Something about this perfume wears AMAZINGLY on my skin. it just smells so earthy and invigorating. People compliment me nonstop whenever I have it on, which is in part what makes me love it so much. But I also have grown to love the scent on myself – the way it settles is so beautiful and warm – it dries down to this beautiful fresh floral with a hint of melon sweetness. I love that it is strong when you first spray it, but as it settles, those close to you can smell that beautiful drydown…I feel like I am in heaven after I wear this and every time I spray it on it makes me so happy. Love this Issey Miyake perfume and will probably always re-purchase it.

This is nice. It is very heavily predominantly LOTV, and for LOTV, it has an impressive sillage. The calone, lotus, and peony all contribute to the aquatic vibe. That being said, it still doesn’t rate any better than ‘nice’ or ‘like’ for me. And, despite its aquatic notes, it’s only polite after it calms down, due to its high sillage. Also, there’s something headach-y about it – the calone, maybe? Finally, there’s just too many other really creative LOTV offerings to choose from. If I hadn’t had so much exposure, maybe I would like it better, but, having tried a few florals and aquatics, this just wouldn’t be FB-worthy.
Just saw sandrina_bambi’s review about it being better in winter – it’s 87 degrees F/60% humidity, I don’t think that negates my review, but it is also a consideration.

This classic gem is very long lasting…very heavy sillage…very refreshing for countries with hot climate…but after all this years of wearing this…i begin to feel boring …and it almost nauseatic for me…thank you very much leau dissey…great job you did all this time…goodbye

I agree that it’s similar to Elizabeth Arden’s Sunflowers, but it’s not as screechy. Fragrances like this, Sunflowers, CK Escape, and Ming Shui smell like they would be worn by a girl wearing a 90’s style floral sun dress. This is a rather nostalgic smell that I can’t help but love. Calone doesn’t mess with me at all, but the fact it does so many people makes me feel apprehensive about wearing it, but I might anyway if I ever find myself decked out in full 90’s fashion.

I used to love this fragrance, and find it voluptuous and sort of exotically floral. I haven’t smelt it for years, so I may have to revisit it. It will probably remind me too much of a particular time.

I could say it’s perfect fresh scent for the autumn and spring for those who like carnation. It gives a vintage feel. I have this fragrance 2.5 years, and the smell of the melon becomes stronger. fresh-vintage. cose of carnation maybe..

I don’t find this elegant or posh, but I saw it described as youthful and carefree, and that’s exactly what this is to me. It’s a happy place. Excellent for days (whether at home or in town) when you need a little pick me up. Depression, here is your cure.
Having said that, I would not limit the audience to the younger of us, as “youthful and carefree” describes more the spirit of the occasion, than the age of wearer.

I got this as a wedding gift some 10 years ago. It’s EDT but radiates strongly from my skin, i remember a single spray was enough to last the whole day. I like the vibrant and fresh feeling whenever i wear this 🙂 however my sister found the scent was too overwhelming and gave her headache!

So I got this for my 18th birthday today from mom and dad so I’m back for a little better review.
The opening can be a little off-putting. Initially it reminds me off water that has had flowers sitting in it for a while. Very loud and sharp. I put on this with perhaps a too heavy hand right before running off to the bus and some girl behind me said “god, what’s that horrible perfume”. I would recommend giving it about an hour to settle.
After that it softens and turns into a lovely aquatic floral with a distinct melon note. It’s so well blended and manages to smell like “water” it’s super fresh and light. Impressive sillage and lasting power, especially for an EdT.
Don’t be discouraged by the sharp opening, give it a while to settle. Looking forward to testing this during the warmer months. Definitely for the melon lovers!

I am probably one of the few guys here commenting on this beauty.
This is hands down the best women’s fragrance I have ever smelled. Starts with a mesmerizing, dreamy lotus accord accompanied with exhilarating melon. What a combo! Even after all these years since its creation, still very unique and uplifting.
When I smell it, it takes me to an exotic place where I can get away from all the daily thoughts and concerns. For me it is much more than a perfume, but an experience.

Tried today, only on paper however. I have a hard time finding fresh scents I like since I’m all about scents that are a little heavier. I really like this one, think it will be my summer scent. You can’t go wrong with L’eau D’issey, it’s a classic for a reason, lovely ozonic floral!

This is the perfume – both female and male versions – my husband and I wore to our honeymoon, in Mexico, during the Summer!
    Need I say more? 😉
Everytime we travel together on vacation, I take it with me. So does my husband, in tandem.
It’s fresh, youthful and carefree, uncomplicated and spontaneous, but has a sweeter base note – exactely what a honeymoon (and marriage!) shoud be.
    Sheer Joie de Vivre!

I love this! At first it is a bit sharp and very fresh, but after a while it turns so soft on my skin 🙂 it works with my chemistry. Perfect when you just want to smell clean and simple, when you need a break from sweet or strong scents 🙂

A wistful, elegant floral. The aquatic notes and the bitterness of the melon add a melancholic yet ethereal vibe to the clean flowers underneath, making it more original and unexpected.
I don´t wear it on a daily basis anymore, but it´s still a lovely scent. Very different from my usual citrusy, “happy” florals.
Lasting power and sillage are quite remarkable.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

For being such a clean watery floral, this one is kind of unpredictable on me. Sometimes the lily of the valley comes through really strongly, and sometimes it’s all melon which I’m not crazy about. My favorite is on very hot days when it dries down to a barely-there, warm soapy musky kind of scent. The projection of this is light enough to wear to work. Some days I love it, some days I regret putting it on.

Pur essendo acquatico e freddo, resta ugualmente intenso, sembra quasi caldo.
Su altre persone che lo hanno indossato, si sente come una nota fredda, glaciale e metallica, molto diverso dal risultato che ha sulla mia pelle.
E lo stesso fa anche Secretions Magnifiques, che risulta un fresco acquatico dolce e verde.

So very confused by this fragrance. One day I can love it, the next day I can hate it.
Seems like its a would-be safe fragrance, if it weren’t for that painfully strong lifespan. sometimes when i wear it, I hurry to take it off it can be that bad. The mixture of heady florals, intoxicating melon and aquatic notes just does something to me. Sometimes I let it take me away, other times I regret it instantly and scrub it off.
I have a vintage early 90s bottle and not much has changed with the new one, save being toned down just a bit
Sometimes 10/10, sometimes 1/10. Depends on the day and the wearer’s feeling

The first time I felt this fragrance was in 2002-2003 I guess.I was working as a hostess in a Restaurant from a 5 stars hotel. At lunch a well known singer came in , dressed in black , leather jacket, it was spring , beautiful day ,sunny and I remember this fragrance that she was wearing,… I find it so new original something else for those years , very modern . I loved it very much. Of course after a while I bought my self a bottle. Couple a months ago I received it again from my sister. This is the only fragrance that did not change / reformulated thru the years!!! Same original Issey edt, same quality, very very long lasting , great sillage for hours and hours , great for every day casual, spring autumn wear, I find it too strong for summer , even if it s an aquatic , this is not a “watery” juice at all. A very good fragrance, I got a little bored of it now , still I enjoy wearing it ❤

  39. :

    4 out of 5

Pale, white, almost aggressively “clean”. Water and metal and white, pure air; a touch of tart, almost fruity sweetness keeps it from being all airiness. Pleasant and easy to be around. Very likeable and well done but I guess I’m kind of bored with this somewhat dated genre of melony aquatics.

  40. :

When this perfume first came out, I loved it.
But since then, my repertoire is more complex and has evolved…and I can’t say I like it nearly as much any more, though I generally can say I like aquatics.I almost dislike this scent; there is a note I just fannot seem to identify that bugs me about it. I actually wish I knew what it was. I will still sometimes wear it on a hot day in the summer…just rarely.
I will eventually finish the bottle, but will not buy again.

Received a small sample of this from a friend and assumed from the aesthetics it was going to be quiet, elegant, floral – and knew it was supposed to be an aquatic floral. It is all of that to some extent, and the lotus is lovely, gentle and clean. Along that line I thought maybe there may also be a touch of green tea or lemongrass, perhaps something green and fresh.
Instead, I was surprised by the very 90s-fruity-floral vibe. Sillage and longevity are both decent but kind of fuzz out into “sweet-clean generic shower scent” more than retaining their own individual quirks. L’eau d’Issey is pleasant and uplifting, but it seems to fall into that J’Adore/Cool Water scent group, echoes of Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon again and again…
Can’t hate it by any means, just feel like it’s been done many times before. Regardless – love the bottle.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

this L’eau is quite similar to Ming Shu, that I used to love a lot, and to Thais by Puig, which is a tad cheaper and a lot more short lived. Captures that acquatic feeling that takes you on a charming voyage. A little sharp maybe but interesting and mysterious as any woman is supposed to be in order to escape being just boring, taken for granted…it lasts quite well, for some good hours

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Update: Just finished the sample. It has grown on me. I would like to own it 🙂 It’s juicy, aquatic but warm.

I own a sample. Tested several times and enjoyed.

Fresh, floral, aquatic but not too aquatic, clean and vaguely soapy.
I am lucky that in this one the melon does not become weird or overpowering in my skin, so I actually can wear it and enjoy it.
It’s nice, clean, office-friendly and interesting enough. I like the watery floral side of it when the weather is warmer. I would really enjoy a shower gel with this fragrance.
At the first try I found this a bit boring, but I am enjoying it more with each wearing as the weather becomes warmer… so maybe I will look for a discounted small bottle after all.
Lasts a couple of hours or so and has a moderate sillage on me.

An interesting note: I also own an old mini which, apparently, was not stored in the best conditions and lost the aquatic components… I like it better that way, to be honest. It’s a beautiful abstract feminine floral.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

Smells like a garden after the rain… owned by a woman in her late 40’s in 1992. The flower combination is very dated in my opinion.
Edit: after an hour or so it’s not as dated as in the beginning, it’s actually pretty decent; the flowers become more subdued and the melon takes center stage.

I tried this many years ago, when it was a fever and everybody was packing it for christmas. Everywhere. And I didn’t like it. So now, 2017, I try it again. And guess what? Still don’t like it. I really don’t like it. This drydown is terrible. This type of scent lies on the end of the line of my taste for fragrances, I rather use nothing.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I thought I’d try this again seeing as my tastes in perfumes are constantly evolving and I love white flowers… I have to say, I dislike this perfume above all others. I just can’t get down with aquatics, no matter how much I try. I love the idea of aquatics, and the ‘wet’ fruits like melon, it sounds so refreshing and lovely. But on me, it stinks like mould and damp. I literally smell like a damp basement with a few mouldering pot-plants in the corner. Or a stagnant pond with mouldy, dead lily-pads floating on the greasy, black, smelly water. I definitely don’t get ‘spray of a waterfall’…
I definitely go for dry scents and am partial to powder. I have tried and tried many different types of aquatics, and they all do the same on me – full on damp. In future, I will pass on watermelon, cucumber and ozonic. And if I have to have fruit, I think I will take a fruit that can be sundried, like apricot… L’eau d’Issey is like the polar opposite of Lancome’s Tresor, and at least now I know for sure that I like my fruit in perfume dry.

  47. :

At some point this perfume had received a cult classic so there is no way i skip it. I blind buy, which is truly a mistake. On me it started like an old lady smell, strong with a bit of freshness..at initial. Then it dries down horribly on me. Like an unpleasant soap scent that has no personality. My fault i did not listen to my seller, that would describe this scent smells like an armpit. Now i use it as room freshener of some kind.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

This is a really great perfume for hot summer days… it has that crisp, fresh cooling effect that some quality aquatic scents can have. I bought a big bottle and used it two summers in a row and still had half the bottle left. Because it’s very powerful you only need two squirts tops! I ended up giving the rest away before using it up because there just isn’t enough summer in Oregon to justify keeping it. Spring and summer are the only times I will occasionally use fragrances like this. I gave it to a friend who will wear it year round.
If you like floral/aquatic types though, you’d be hard pressed to find one better than this. It’s really nice.

I’ve worn this fragrance and loved it in the past. But like all things…life evolves and I’ve worn so many other white floral fragrances–so many! Recently while out strolling I encountered a nice lady selling a cotton-candyish concoction, and I reached behind her for the bottle of Issey M. So glad I did! Lovely memories of warm summer days came flooding back. I had forgotten how elegant and yet enchanting this scent is. On my skin, the musk gently mixes with the florals and water to settle in and make you want to get closer. Quite simply, this original version of Issey is delicately composed with perfection. A perfect balance of florals, water & earth. For me it will always be close to my heart and definitely in my collection…always.

L’eau d’Issey is a fragrance I encountered for the first time about 10 years ago, and decided to review it now because my opinion on it has changed after years and years of disliking it on my own skin.
I’ve always considered this one of those perfumes that other women wear very graciously, however my skin has always “rejected” it.
Last week I decided to give it a try while I was in an airport store and…
Lo and behold, this fragrance was beautiful on me. Leau d’Issey or “Issey’s water”, has an exceptionally strong lotus note similar to Ming Shu from Yves Rocher.
It also includes a rose note which beautifully supports the leading star, lotus. It’s very well blended and most definitely a daytime fragrance for hot summer days – i find that it’s not as good in chilly weather and reaches its full potential in warm weather.
Thanks to the aquatic flower vibe, I can imagine this one being one of the few fragrances which smell even better on people who’ve smoked a cigarette a few moments earlier.
Leau d’Issey is quite linear but it tends to bend more toward a woody lotus impression in the drydown.
The longevity is more than 8 hours and projection is good.
If there’s a smell you’ve really enjoyed on other people but you’ve thought the scent is not great on yourself, give that perfume one more try. I really enjoy L’eau d’Issey on myself and I’m glad I gave this fragrance one last chance at an airport.

I used to wear it a long time ago and decided to come back to it unsure if I would still like. I recently bought a few newly released fragrances and ended up being rather disappointed with them so I thought that maybe it’s worth returning to something I used to love.
I bought it yesterday without trying it on in the shop and sprayed it on my wrist after I got back home. My first impression was – ‘Oh no, I don’t like it any more!!’All I could smell was freesia and lily of the valley which I love but not when the scent is that strong! I felt like I was about to get a headache and surely this is only going to get worse… I thought of washing it off but decided to leave it on for a little longer to see if it …grows on me – after all, I did used to love it! It was a good thing I waited. Within about 15-20 minutes it transformed itself to a gorgeous, gorgeous scent! I could not stop sniffing my wrist! Boy, am I glad I bought it! If you can wait a little while and suffer the initial overpowering smell of the freesia and lilies, you will be rewarded with an absolutely beautiful, elegant, happy, sensual, classy, unique and truly unforgettable scent that somehow manages to be both clean and innocent and sensual and sexy at the same time!

I wanted to like this one because of the bottle, and was hoping it was more of a clear, fresh scent akin to Bvlgari Crystalline Omnia but instead, it was strange and sweet. I only sprayed it on a paper strip so maybe I’ll try it on my skin someday and see if my opinion changes. But from what I smelled on the card, it wasn’t what I wanted it to be and I didn’t care for it. Maybe it’s the calone note I’m disliking.

  55. :

I love this so much. It is a bright and refreshing aqueous-floral scent. The flowers are breezy (lily of the valley, freesia, calla lily and orange blossom) and fresh water.
Reminds me a lot of another favorite, Cool Waters by Davidoff but is distinct enough to leave a separate opinion. L’eau d’Issey goes on fairly strong for an EDT, but settles quickly, and seems to last most of the day as a light fresh floral on me. This perfume is a clear calm summer day, I love wearing this after the beach or on summer holiday.

This will forever be my favourite fragrance. It’s elegant, seductive and simply beautiful! I only ever purchase the EDT but find it’s incredibly long lasting, so much so that I don’t feel the EDP necessary. This fragrance holds fond memories to me which adds an extra bonus and makes me feel even better when wearing it!

I don’t know a single woman who doesn’t love this perfume; a 90s classic, and such a distinctive scent separated from all the rest. There was definitely a trend for aquatic fragrances in the 90s, with others such as Davidoff Cool Water, which shares L’eau d’issey’s melon and lotus notes. But the difference with L’eau d’issey is that it favours floral over citrus, and has the added sophistication of soft woody scents to ground it, with the combination of cedar and sandalwood giving the it an edge. This is my sister-in-law’s signature scent, and my sister also has several empty bottles. It’s just such a lovely, energetic, fresh aquatic perfume that transports you to a a beach or funky pool party in the 90s. Whenever I wear this people don’t even have to ask what it is, and the same goes for when I smell it on someone else.

This is your archetypal 1990s ozonic perfume. :).
That never gets old though because of its quality. Probably the best of all Miyake perfumes, a “signature” Miyake perfume (IMHO of course).
Fresh melon is a leading note here, both left and right pyramids above agree on that.
Second strongest note is what they call “calone” above – sea breeze, water splashes, rain in a rainforest. Ozone. Third is carnation.
Everything else is not that distinct (on my skin).
Very long lasting. Worth adding to your collection and putting it on the 1990s shelf (along with Eden, L’eau Par Kenzo, Donna (Tacchini)).

I feel that L’eau d’Issey should come with a warning on the bottle: beware – not as it appears to be at first glance! L’eau d’Issey was a blind buy for me. One morning I applied some and headed out the door. L’eau d’Issey went on like a nice, polite and demure floral fragrance, perfectly suited to the elegant and simple bottle. Or so I thought… My first reaction was it is nice, but why is this such an iconic fragrance, what is the hype all about? About 10 minutes in the fragrance changed completely. I got this horrible screechy note. It was this intense green note, like freshly picked greenery. I am not a fan of such strong green notes in perfume and I was so put off. But do not dispair! L’eau d’Issey is just warming up her voice and tuning her instruments. The pungent green note does not last long, only about 5 minutes. After that a sweet floral melody enchants the wearer. A sweet soprano song filled with juicy melon and clear lily of the valley creates a soothing and very refreshing effect. I normally dislike melon in perfume but this, this is wonderfully done! It smells so fresh, so balanced, so perfectly clean and clear. I could not stop sniffing my wrist, getting lost in the beautiful complex melodies of L’eau d’Issey. Finally it dries down to a stunning woody scent, the watery effect remains even in the dry down. I am thoroughly enchanchanted by this beautiful masterpiece. This is unlike anything I have ever encountered and I keep coming back to this perfume. This is not another nice, in-her-place placid kind of perfume. This perfume has the serene voice of and angel, clear and beautiful and full of wonderous emotions. L’eau d’Issey takes you on a journey of majestic rivers and waterfalls, thunderstorms and woods teeming with moisture and life. I understand why this is such a popular and classic scent. I wish I knew what caused the pungent green note in the opening and that I could avoid it, but the rest of L’eau d’Issey is so delightful that I gladly endure the opening.

A true classic from the 1990s, icon of an era. So many girls wore it back then that each time I smell it now it gives me a sort of sentimental longing. In that sense, in my heart this one will stay young forever.

I have to say this is my favourite floral fragrance ever, the freesia combined with lotus and the woody dry down is amazing.
This is my fragrance that puts a smile on my face,it is welcoming, approachable and non offensive.
Longevity is great and projection a lovely arm length.
You are wrapped and cocooned in the flowers of cyclamen, lotus and freesia. The wetness of the lotus gives it a sharpness but the freesia is stunning and lends to it beautifully.
    It is a beauty!

This is a very lovely melon/floral scent. Lily of the valley & freesia are the strongest notes to me. Incredible sillage and longevity. I didn’t realize this was a scent from 1992. I’d like to not care about that but it does turn me off a bit, since I prefer to have a unique scent and don’t want to remind someone of the 90’s. I will be using this sparingly.

I love this so much. It is a bright and refreshing fruity-floral scent. The fruits are watery and only slightly sweet (melon), and the flowers are breezy (lily of the valley, freesia) and a little bit spicy (trumpet lily and carnations). Reminds me a lot of another favorite, Breathe by Lollia, but is different enough that I think I’d keep both around. L’eau d’Issey goes on fairly strong for an EDT,
