The composition, created by Michel Almairac, features sparkling citrus accords reminiscent of refreshing lemonade, accords of rose petals and natural distilled rose water that give a dewy character to the fragrance, and warm and elegant veil provided by patchouli.

The fragrance comes in a distinctive bottle shape for the entire Chloe fragrance line, with light green liquid and silver stopper decorated with a bright green bow. The face of the fragrance is a model Camille Rowe-Pourcheresse, the campaign was photographed by Camilla Akrans and its video is shot by Mario Sorrenti.

I have L’eau de Chloe on one hand and Vince Camuto Femme on the other. I can’t tell the difference between the two.

I blind bought this based on the reviews, but I was nervous since rose is a difficult note for/on me. My skin doesn’t work well at all with some rose scents. This one, however, is gorgeous! It’s a fresh, clean and light rose. Like a newly sprung out, bright red rose on a dewy morning (almost all my rose containing fragrances have this kind of rose). I also get a lot of aldehydes, because this is super fizzy and sparkling on me. It’s citrusy, fresh and slightly woody. The patchouli is there, but is never dark, rough or dusty, it just grounds the scent.
It behaves a bit funny. When I first apply it, I almost can’t detect it, but after about 20-30 minutes or so…BOOM!! So I learned that I have to go easy on the trigger with this one and if I still don’t smell it after 30 minutes I can apply some more. I think this can work all year around, but I think it really shines during spring and summer days.
It’s really a pity that they discontinued this one, but I bought a 100 ml bottle so I’ll be fine for a while.

Although I’m usually a fan of fresh and green perfumes, that wasn’t for me. It gave me a severe headache for some reason, and I’m typically enamored with Chloe perfumes like Love and Love Story. Had to give it away, and will not repurchase.

What an absolute joy this one is to wear! It’s so pretty and very easy to wear – light, fresh, crisp but with surprising sensuality and longevity to boot.
This is very “Rose-y” but not in an overly sweet or powdery way, tempered as it is by the zingy grapefruit and other citrus notes. It’s a perfect springtime day scent.
This sadly, along with Love Chloe, is another masterpiece that Chloe seem determined to delist and replace with something massively inferior, derivative and wholly unoriginal (looking at Love Story and Nomade in particular). Why do they keep making fragrances I love and then taking them away from me!
I always keep my eyes peeled for bottles on eBay and other retailers in hope of a back-up bargain though!

My first green fragrance, had it the first time 5 years a go, it was a gift set with shower gel & body lotion in round green packaging, was in love with the green juice & pretty bow, and still now I adore everything about L’eau De Chloe, it’s fresh mouth watering delicious lime sorbet, it’s citrusy yet rosy that’s what makes it so lovable, very airy, very green, pretty and flirty in a fun way. I don’t like it – I LOVE IT! will always be my love, a must in my drawer, will never stop purchasing, I wish they have the 200ml version.

After a bad experience blind buying a super strong spice laden lush perfume. I had a craving for Chloe.. So I purchased off trademe, a bottle of l’eau and of the EDP. L’eau De Chloe smells like lime and sherbert anc a little bit like aniseed to begin with. It almost disappears entirely but reappears as a rose patchouli, lighter than Elle YSL. Im wondering if in summer it will be stronger on skin. Its almost winter here and its a bit of a faint perfume. I sprayed about 4 sprays on each wrist to get a decent smell.. its really nice and i think it will be pretty in summer,

deep citrus floral; rose, lots of citrus, hint of musk and patch to keep it grounded

I was intrigued by this perfume, so my boyfriend got it to me as a gift for graduation last year. However, I did not received single compliment while wearing this. 60 euros for something that only you can smell and nobody else around you is too much. I would not buy it once more, even though the scent is beatiful – fresh, feminine, Green 🙂 Bottle is nice, too, but I require a longevity in a fragrance.

Love this the first time i sprayed it on my skin because it felt like a sophisticated, pretty scent for young women. Bought a rollerball on sale and after a few times wearing it i started to find it too dry and overly sober. The rose mixed with the citrusy and the subtle chemical notes make it too crisp for me, i wish it was more playful. On me it lasts a pretty decent amount of time and stays close to the skin.

I love almost all fragances from Chloé and this is one of my favourites. It’s a fresh green rose scent which is long lasting and has good sillage on me. I love how this perfume is different from the usual rose scents but the key to have a gentle floral scent wafting from my body is to spray in moderation. If I spray too much on myself then it smells like floor cleaner.

What a great scent from Chloé. Got to stock up just in case they delist it.
Smells green, earthy, some dry roses come along and leave you with a clean , neat effect for hours. L’eau lasts on me like foreva.
Took the ribbon off when I stated it was matketed for women and now it stands quite masculine on my shelf. Highly recommended for men.

Thankfully I tested this before blind buying.
Really awful to me, an intense bitter note in this ruins it.
Other than that very fresh, herby and no sweetness or citrus to me.

Lovely smell. Great for the office. I love how clean and fresh the top notes are. Can never get enough of this. Wished that it lasted a slight bit longer so I don’t have to respray during the day.

Chloe EDT + Patchouli = L’Eau de Chloe.
This is the patchouli version of Chloe. It’s nice to smell a flanker that has a strong connection to the original perfume. If you like Chloe and like patchouli, there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this perfume.

    good, fresh patchouli roses
    aquatic and bitter
    a little medical
    very good smell
but i don’t think it’s worthy to spend over 20 dollars on this thing

I like this fragrance, for summer.
A hint of patchouli and rose just at the beginning than quietly goes away for more citruses smell, somewhere is peony and peach with more woody foresty notes.
    Nice.

At first you have a blast combination of rose and patchouli, a clean rose and herbal spicy patchouli, not dirty. Then it softens into a powdery scent close to skin and later becomes a skin scent. It’s one of the perfumes that you spray liberally on your skin after a shower because you still want to smell clean and polished. Of course you have to wear your perfume of choice that lasts more, this won’t do. A cute perfume for youngsters. Doesn’t last well on my skin. So many notes… I can only tell rose, some soft powdery violet and patchouli.

I’m a complete sucker for a beautiful bottle, so I wonder at times how much that factors into my love for Chloe L’eau. Four different Chloe bottles, each alike except for their little colored ribbons, sit on my shelf, and I’m even a little allergic to L’eau, but I just can’t help myself . . . I keep reaching for its intensely green, bright and lovely self.

My mum bought this perfume for me a while ago and it has lived to its reputation and come second on my favourite perfum list. When I first got this i was not sure about it because i was only into sweet things back then, excusing valentinos creations because he is amasing, but now i have richer taste in perfume. I still prefer sweet perfum as all of my own perfumes are very sweet, such as valentina pink and gold edition juicy
    la couture.
This is one of my favourite perfumes and i reccomend it to everyone who is interested in floral scents that enhance your surroundings beauty.
This has such a fresh scent. It smells as if you have teleported into a newly planted garden of flower have just spring ito season. Amazing!
    Scent~ 9.8/10
    Longetivity~ 10/10
Silage~ it stays within a meter. Makes the people walkinging around you happy. 10/10

I got this as a blind buy but when I tried it, it wasn’t an instant hit with me. I thought, it’s pretty nice and left it at that. The more and more I use it though, I really am starting to love it. It reminds me a little of Chanel no 19 but soapier, cleaner somehow if that’s possible. For days I just want a simple fresh without any fruit, something posh and elegant, this is it. I love it, it’s super classy, not sexy, like a skin scent if you can afford the very finest lux soaps. I love it more and more every day. I wouldn’t say it’s a signature but I wouldn’t be surprised if someday it might be!

  23. :

I thought I’d fall for this one, as from the bottle I got the impression that it’s similar to Miss Dior Cherrie L’eau. but no, there isn’t even a single similarity.
Chloe l’eau starts with a strong blast of citruses/ bergamot followed immediately with lots of rose water.patchouli/earthy notes make it deeper than a usual summer fresh perfume.
Actually it reminds me of Madame EDP by JPG and it’s not surprising as they share lots of notes, but the main difference would be lack of pepper note here.
I can say it has the characteristics of all chloe perfumes, that I would describe as classy/french.The longevity and sillage are definitely not bad (just like prior and descendant ones).Still my favorite is the new one: love story.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

Wow, so many notes and I detect only rose, patchouli and some citruses… Unfortunately rose and patchouli are the two notes that I can’t stand in perfumes as dominant notes. Overall it’s a pleasant, fresh, a bit spicy, and feminine fragrance, good to wear in hot weather.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

I really do love Chloe, so this one was logical choice. To me, they are so alike, but different character. L’Eau de Chloe is more fresh and crispy with touch of citrus, but in the same time keeps that soapy luxury gentle powdery feeling. I was wondering if there is a sense of having both of them, but I simply couldn’t gave up neither.
For me they are just perfect, with good longevity and silage, worth of every penny.
I am not a big fun of rose notes and happy to say, can not feel it here. But all notes are so well balanced and can not highlight any of them, nothing stands out, nothing loud. It is safe office scent and also great for dinner time out. Warm in winter and gentle in summer, simply all year around for all occasions.
I think if it is labeled with Chanel brand, it would get higher rating.

The biggest note that drew me to this perfume isn’t even listed…. camphor! It’s so strong to my nose! Obviously it’s not the whole scent… and certainly not what hits the top of the smelling experience… but for me there is well and truly a strong undercurrent of good old camphor. This is a beautiful sweet-but-not-sickly fragrance, balanced by the slightly harsh green effect of camphor. Love it!

I love this so much, one of the bests of summer scents, so sophisticated and yet fresh and delightful. It does not get too overwhelming even in the hottest weather, it is like a fresh nostalgic lemonade cocktail on a balcony of an elegant bar.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

I really like this. It’s a lovely citrus floral that lasts and lasts. This screams warm weather. I tend to like “wall of scent” perfumes that can be oppressive in the summer, so am looking forward to having this for the Alabama heat. Starts off strong, so a spritz or two will do.

Loooove this scent. It is so interesting. At first it is very lemony and fresh but it soon changes and becomes powdery, slightly soapy and on my skin, pretty spicy. It develops into a warm, sexy scent which lasts 10+ hours. It could easily be worn year around IMO. To me it is very different from Chloe EDP. It actually reminds me of Bath and Beauty by Jil Sander which my mum used to wear back in the eigthies. I loved that scent too but it just did not work with my skin chemistry. Happy this one does work for me!!

This one is great. Much less of that metallic twang that keeps me from enjoying the edp. Smells clean and rosey on the skin and is long lasting. A good one for wearing to social functions where you want to smell nice but not necessarily be noticed. The best one of the Chloe range IMO.

This is a day perfume worn by a together, stylish and wealthy suburban mom in the 1970s, who doesn’t want the heat and grime of the city but is far too sophisticated to live in the country. I am not kidding. The first time I smelled this, it reminded me completely of sitting in church as a kid in the 1970s — one of the ladies at our church in the well-to-do city suburbs must have worn this every Sunday, and I smelled it then, and I smell it now, with L’eau de Chloe. I had to buy it, since it triggers such calm nostalgia in me. Think of the Mary Tyler Moore mother figure in the film “Ordinary People” (but without the bitchiness, just the perfect hair, tennis and golf afternoons, etc.) All I have to do is put it on, and I think of the sharp, citrusy, “jazzy” scents that ladies wore in the 70s. This is a strong perfume on me. It is very green — not as far into green as Estee Lauder’s “Aliage”, but it is in that family. It is energetic without being truly sporty, stylish and sharp but with no hint of sex, or seduction or floral flirtatiousness. If you’re trying to seduce a man, this is not the perfume. It has a sophistication you can’t miss. And it also has a hint of “Love’s Fresh Lemon”(which all the daughters of the those 70s mothers were wearing). I love to wear this when I want to carry off myself as energetic but not aggressive, sharp but not bold, and stylish without being trendy. I reach for this at least once a month, and never get tired of it.

I hear how classy and romantic house of Chloe is. Today I decided to try this as well as Love Story that I both liked. Let’s stay to L’Eau.
When I first sprayed, my senses woke up! I said yeah, finally something different and good enough to impress me. Bottle is really nice, green details and juice. I have to admit that my first though was: “Too bad I never smelled Miss Dior Cherie L’eau but who cares after smelling L’eau by Chloe?”
All in all, I just adore it. I am 99% sure that there must be a Chloe signature scent for me and why not L’eau? Trust me, I hate when people comparing perfumes but L’eau reminds me so much of Nina Ricci-L’extase! It’s not bad, but L’eau is better to my nose. I dislike rose but this sweet lokum-like rose is amazing, bright citrus tones that are so well and sweet again. I won’t talk much for the rest tones that are so many but so well mixed. The perfumer deserves congratulations. A perfume for work, for meeting friends, for whatever cosy, friendly and at the same time romantic comes in your mind. So original and so bold.
    L'(eau) V E it! <3
p.s: Although I think it’s my favorite from Chloe, I have a feeling I’ll fall from another one. Why? In general and in testing paper it smells lovely but on skin, it gives a feeling of a soapy perfume. Ok, tell us something new you will say about Chloe perfumes, but this one it’s like freedom. I will run to test more from Chloe <3

  33. :

I sprayed this on paper and I smell citrus green scent. No rose and no patchouli. Maybe on the skin it will smell a bit different.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I find this to be an almost challenging perfume. It is so unlike anything else I have.
After the first spray it is ridiculously green for a long time, probably at least 2 hours on my skin. Quite sharp, green cut vegetation, freshly felled trees and earth is all I get, no roses and definitely nothing sweet. It’s also more fresh spicy than warm spicy.
The green softens slowly and other notes become noticeable, I start sensing green cut roses somewhere in the background and wonderful earthy notes. The woody roses slowly move to the fore over the next few hours.
After about 8 hours the green has totally softened and the lightly sweet and woody rose has now become the star.
Definitely not a boring perfume, at least with my chemistry.
Silage is close and longevity is very good.

  35. :

I hardly sense any resemblance between this and the predecessor it is supposed to flank, but that’s OK. Perfect rose-citrus fragrance. Not a fan of patch, but works very well in this formula. Always been a fan of Chloe fragrances, and this one did not disappoint. This year, it’s been one of the hottest summers I’ve ever experienced, and L’eau de Chloe has been my staple through the season. Crisp, soapy at times, but not cloying. I must have another bottle when this one runs out.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

    It is just beautiful!!!!
On my skin it lasts all day even under the scorching sun.
Refreshing and bright, and sparkling, crispy as has been mentioned before.
For me a great staple. It has that kind of detergent sharpness like Chloe, but more luxurious.
The patchulie, citrus and rose together are perfect utter luxury.
I just simply wanna drink it!¡!!!

  37. :

    4 out of 5

The main difference between this and the EDP ‘Chloe’ is that it is much greener and possesses a sweet touch of spice. The feminine powdery-ness of the original is gone and the scent of roses is muted and really doesn’t come off as a top note in L’Eau. The dry down is calmer and more mellow from the initial burst coming from the lighter notes and the patchouli. It’s soft enough to be a daily fragrance IMO so long as it’s sprayed moderately. Can’t say how often I’ll personally use it, but it’s much more well rounded than the stronger-scented oriental and woody fragrances that use patchouli in their scent accords (fresh’s Cannabis Rose, Miss Dior, etc.).

My love for L’eau De Chloe started with the shower gel I purchased at a pharmacy. Everytime I showered with L’eau De Chloe I felt transported to a place of luxury. The smell like an exquisite soap lingered on my skin all night. Anyone who used the shower after me said how amazing it smelt. I had to have this fragrance and so I did purchasing a 50ml bottle. It is such a unique fragrance being a fresher version of the chloe edp. I Have both fragrances and they are both amazing. So feminine, uniqiue and classy!

I love the fresh citrus scent, perfect for the day, specially summer, this fragrance reminds me a little of Coriandre, it works perfect with my body’s chemistry I get lots of compliments on the scent. I think that even though the main scent is citrus, the combination with the floral makes this fragrance very elegant.

  40. :

    Wow!
    Amazing!
    Just discovered this goodie!
    So different, fresh and clean.
Green, but not too sharp, sweetness prevails.
It’s not trendy, however it’s not dated either!
You will get asked what you are wearing!
I can see this being an all season scent.
If you’re lucky enough to find this, scoop up
A couple bottles, you won’t be sorry.
    Christmas Eve party, Hannakuh gathering,
Date night, jeans, LBD.. This rules!

I love this fragrance. It is very warm and soft when it is mixed with my body chemistry. It smells extremely green and sophisticated. It reminds me of Coriandre but the smell does not seem to last as long. My husband really loves it. I wear this in Spring and Summer.

I find this a bit fresher version of Moment Bonheur L’EAU YR ,sweet rosy way with summer wind fresh vibe. And a nice surprise that a green flacon hides not a “green” fragrance. Cuz i am not a fan of green scents. I am really enjoying this one.
Connection of rose patchouli with fresh/citrus mix. Cant wait to try it in summer

From smelling this several times on a strip of paper at my local Olive Young’s, I get a very green and earthy impression. I smell zero rose, though definitely some unidentified floral. I don’t smell jasmine. I do smell patchouli, but it’s vague and so mixed with other, sharper odors that I don’t always notice it. It is a “soapy” fragrance.
    Update 9/27/15: can Pine-Sol be a note? cause that’s what I identified this time…

  47. :

Have this sample at home for 2 years, didn’t give it a chance (I don’t like the Chloe EDP, EDT and intense version at all) but either didn’t throw it away.
At the moment I’m in the mood of unstraining, light stuff and this is a really nice little pastel-green thing. There is a white and slightly bitter musc tone in it, that makes me think of cruder “white bleach”-perfumes like “Anna” or byredos “Blanche”, but here it is used in a way that I like, as a base, gives it a quite nice lasting power also.
Edit: I finished my tester and that is it. I must have had a confusing time. Maybe I’m already too old for this one.

  48. :

I have tried and enjoyed many of this house’s perfumes, but this L’eau reaches a whole ‘nother level of appreciation. All the notes are so well balanced, like an elegant symphony of scents working together perfectly to make a delicately earthy, fresh, scent which leaves a drydown reminiscent of soap, but delicious luxury soap, not cheap hotel soap. It strikes that rare but beautiful perfume balance of being noticeable without any risk of being overbearing. Lasts at least 6-8 hours on me, but stays close to the skin, which I cannot stop sniffing. I am besotted by this perfume and love spraying a little on before I go to bed. My summer nightgowns all smell delicious and I catch the scent on my sleep-warmed skin whenever I pause in my night’s sweet slumbers, which is often because I have insomnia, but that’s another story…:-D

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I am a huge fan of (nearly) every fragrance from the house of Chloe, which was why I was so surprised with this one. It’s really completely different.
First off, I am not here to bash a perfume that is not my style. I’m reviewing my impressions of it.
I don’t know how rose is listed as an accord – at all. I don’t get ANY rose at all. This perfume is GREEN. Then green, then some more green. All I could smell with this was fresh cut vegetation – truly like something growing in a garden or outside and had been cut. If that is a style you like, then you are going to enjoy this one. If that’s not a style you like, you will most likely strongly dislike this. This was a near immediate return for me.
It’s my own fault for getting caught up in a blind buy without smelling first or reading the description, but even then there is no way I would have gotten an indication of of “vegetation” that seems to comprise this scent.
In my own perfuming hobby, I have learned to rely more on the accords of a fragrance rather than the notes, and that is helpful to me. I feel, however, that the accords are way off on this one. Warm spicy? NO. Rose? NO! Earthy? Yes.

When you find good perfumes at Marshall’s and TJ Max ,it’s a good indication they are being discontinued. BTW I really like this Eau de Chloe, but to me it smells like sparkling labdanum.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

L’eau de Chloe is one of my all time favorites. At first spray it has a very zesty, thirst quenching quality and settles down into a nice soap like fragrance with a hint of rose. I can’t stop smelling my wrists as it’s an addictive fragrance. It is perfect for hot humid days and even more beautiful on a cool spring morning just after a shower of rain. The downside is that it is an EDT so it doesn’t hold for long. I have to end up spraying this 6-8 times to see it last for about 6 hrs. This will always be in my collection.. As long as I can find it as if has been discontinued.

  52. :

If L’Eau de Chloe were a girl, she would be cool and fresh in a summer day. However, she is too shy n jst disappears soon. L’Eau de Chloe is too light in the hot weather n jst keep fading away. So ashamed cause the smell s suitable for a hot summer day

At first sniff, i thought this is not about what i’m thinking at all. it’s green and too green for me. i haven’t smell any fruit and flower in the notes at all, i hate this so i’ve voted dislike to it. Even i try it for few times, the result still same. So i gave it to my mom, she’s very love it and told me to buy full bottle for her birthday in next couple months.( i got 5 ml. decant )
After that, today, i decided to try it again ( i wonder why my mom so love it, in fact )
The result is : I like it, very like it. It’s fresh but not like floral or fruity at all. It’s still green in their way that make me feel fresh, like a kind of cooling powder with fresh patchouli. I still wonder where all the flower such as jasmine and freesia gone? i haven’t felt to it. But i really like it now. Scent like no other. great for a hot summer day.
may be in next couple months, there are 2 full bottles of this in my house.

Very classy and elegant, work appropriate . I hated it at first as I smelled it from the bottle, sprayed it on my wrist and 2 hours later I ran back to buy it (20 ml ) i will purchase the largest bottle as this scent does not last long enough on me however I will still wear it because I fell in love with it

Based on some comments below, and after having checked the wardrobe and taste of those who thumbed up this perfume, I went to sniff it.
I have both Chloé and Chloé Intense and like them pretty much. At first, I thought that l’Eau would not be me cup of tea. At all. I was wrong.
It has nothing to do with any other Chloé of this line. It’s fresh, light and discreet. Citrus is prominent, and to my chemistry so is the cedar. It makes it a bit masculine and woody, which I like.
Its longevity is pretty good: 6-8 hours on my skin. Does not radiate much, though. Within arm length.
I was looking for a summer scent, this might be the one.

Very fresh and zingy scent with the same familiar Chloe elegance. The greens, the soap and the rose powder, a perfect trinity which gradually stirs together into a wonderful organoleptic amalgam as the day passes.
Great scent all around. Although I wouldn’t mind it in a stronger concentration.

Still more powdery than a genuine fresh scent because of the rose, but definitely a lovely light and all-round uplifting fragrance. I love both this and Chloe, and Chloe intense.

Beautiful, green , elegant, classy!! Absolutely amazing….
Truly love it… it is pretty similar to the original but greener…It’s not too fruity or too floral..I think that anything by Chloe is a must!!!

I just got this since I wanted a green fragrance for summer….and I know this isn’t a helpful review but I just don’t like it. It’s not as green as I wanted, so I was hoping for more patchouli, but got none of that either. The silage is terrible. I got it cheap online , I may just go and check out either Chanel no. 19 and splurge…..

I am thoroughly disappointed in this one. I got a lovely gift set with the shower gel, lotion, and I believe 100ml bottle of this at Costco for a really affordable price ($64.99 I think?)–and it just doesn’t last. 10 sprays got me 3 hours of wear. TEN. SPRAYS. And this was layered over the body lotion. The bottle is cute, but the top is already oxidizing and looks manky (like all the Chloe bottles do), so that’s a minus point as well.
If you are looking for a VERY lightweight *expensive* citrusy scent that smells like expensive lemon hand soap and doesn’t last very long, you can stop looking. This is what you’re looking for. I got no patchouli, no amber, no cedar, no peach, no violet, and only a hint of rosewater. Lemony rosewater. The drydown is a nice clean dryer sheet smell, although VERY faint.
I can’t compare to Coriandre, as I just recently got a decant of that one, but this one was not for me.

A couple of years ago I was poking my way around the duty-free shop in Barcelona and was drawn to the pale green tint of this scent. I sprayed it on my arm and was transported back to the early eighties. Why? Because L’Eau was so similar to Coriandre, which I used to wear all the time. I had to have it! I think it is fresh and green enough that it could be enjoyed by men who like this kind of fragrance. Wearable year round but particularly refreshing in warmer months.

It is a very nice and coquette perfume, light, green and powdery but doesn´t last very long on me can´t smell it on me an hour later…I love it though. It does remind me a bit of Sisley´s perfume the one with the golden head, Eau de soir I think…but just a lot lighter and softer.

I was surprised that L’Eau de Chloe Chloe is actually quite strong, long-lasting fragrance. Still a hint of powder in it as in all Chloe fragrances. The top notes are more than delicious – you suddenly appear on a meadow, full of grass, daisies and white flowers. Like a light breeze of spring. In time, the scent gets heavier but still comfortably wearable.

<3 <3 I love L’Eau De Chloe! To describe how it smells to me, I think it almost has the exact scent as the original Chloe Eau De Parfum, but A LOT lighter. When I first tested out Chloe EDP, I liked the scent, but there was too much for me, and I didn’t think I could safely wear it for most occasions (I’m not a big perfume person). So I had to pass up on it. But then there came l’eau de chloe! Unlike the original, this one is so light and airy. I hardly smelled a thing when i first sprayed it, but once it touched my skin, magic started to happen. In about 5 minutes, I smelled an earthy citrus note. A little bit harsh, but that died immediately in the next 10 minutes. And in less than 30 minutes, what was left on my skin was just a very soft, sweet, rosy scent much like the chloe EDP. Despite how light and soft it was, the scent soon penetrated through my clothes, and put me in a beautiful aura. It seemed to me that my blood flow was giving it constant momentum. Very amazing sillage for a perfume that is so light! And I could still smell it on my after 8 hours. It is a very quiet and intimate scent. I like to spray it all over my body in the morning without worrying and really enjoy the “shower” of freshness. It is one of those scents that will make other people wonder if you’re actually wearing perfume, but they will for sure notice that you smell AMAZING! <3 <3
This is signature worthy! I give it 10/10. 🙂

Rose rose rose. Beautiful and fresh. I adore this. It makes me feel like a woman, like the perfect mom. My husband loves it too and I will for sure be buying more! just remember to take it easy on this one though, less is more. Fine line here between sophisticated and elderly.

Very Green, fresh, sweet, awake, happy, sunny and rosy! Citrus, roses, patchouli, and fruit makes such a lovely combination that reminds me of green melons like honeydew and such. I did see others mention this as room spray/freshener, which is funny because I love to spray it not just on myself but also on clothes, sheets, rooms, everything! I have also the body wash of L’eau Chloe and I wish there was a candle or room oil version! But I dont find that it is truly “room spray” scent. The L’eau is an easy, not heavy or offensive, fresh, juicy and feminine scent that I adore so much that I would like to have everything smell like it. When I smell this, I immediately wish for dresses, sandals, mojitos, sunshine and light breezes.

On 1st spray, it has a menthol smell, reminiscent of citrus cough drops. Thankfully, it changes very quickly. Within a minute, the rose and patchouli starts coming through, followed by amber. It reminds me of spring, when you look outside and realize that finally, the cold is going away, the sun is not too hot and the flowers are beginning to bloom. The dry down is very comforting and I am not sure why. The violet is very shy. It reminds me of sitting in my grandma’s sun room at the end of a newly spring day, relaxing with the satisfaction that the day has been good. The patchouli is prominent the entire time for me. I am not a big fan of citrus or fresh scents, but because of the patchouli, I like this one a lot.
EDIT- Sillage is very low, and I wish it was higher. This is coming from someone who prefers skin scents.
