I loved Nicolai’s L’Eau a la Folie and was sad it was discontinued. I believe this is basically the same idea re-worked to get around the removal of oakmoss. Similar but different… similar enough for me to push the right buttons. The mango – bright and fruity in the opening but not too sweet – a luminous jasmine/floral accord, and a woody green backbone. Stronger than a cologne, lasting like an EDT, but with something of the cologne’s spirit – sweetly citrus, lightly green. Beautifully balanced.
